Carlos: "I'll show you just how you play Limiter."

A surge of binary from both Engagers creates living versions of Raikiri and Brai.

Linus: "I think I'll figure it out."

A screen next to the Character Slate lights up, copying all stats into a series of counters.

Brai: "I'll try and hold back."

Raikiri: "Really? I'd figured I'd have to hold back."

Carlos: "I'll go first."

Carlos picks up the card on the far left.

Carlos: "I'll activate the Boost Card Small Wall, increasing my defense by two."

DEF rises to 7, but his Energy drops to 3.

Carlos: "And on the first turn, neither person can activate Set Cards or attack. Your move."

Linus's hand consists of Minor Strength, Star Claw, Energy 1, and Dragon's Roar.

Linus: "I'll do what you did and start off with Energy 1!"

Linus's Energy is now 6.

Linus: "Now I'll activate Minor Strength! Get ready for an extra two points in strength!"

ATK is 14 as Linus's Energy is now 4.

Linus: "My turn is over!"

Raikiri: "Now we're getting to the real action!"

Carlos draws one card.

Brai: "Such a shame that you'll lose in a few turns."

Raikiri: "Sound pretty confident."

Carlos's Energy is 4.

Carlos: "I activate my Set card, Blizzard Soul."

Linus: "What does it do?"

Carlos: "I inflict a total of 19 damage in this attack and be able to draw another card."

Brai rams into Raikiri, taking out 12 HP, lowering Linus down to 108.

Linus: "Raikiri!"

He stumbles a bit before gaining his footing.

Raikiri: "Relax, his turn is over."

Carlos: "Yeah it's over. Show me what you've got bro."

His Energy is 1.

Linus: "With pleasure!"

Linus draws the card Deflect.

Linus: "(in head) A Guard Card!"

Linus inserts the card into the slot on the left.

Linus: "Now I activate Star Claw!"

Carlos: "That plus your ATK is 21 and you take away one energy from me."

Carlos's HP is 84 after Raikiri slashes his claw at Brai's face, sending him back a few feet.

Raikiri: "(confident) Now how's that for power?"

Brai: "(shaking it off) Not bad, not bad at all."

Carlos draws a card.

Carlos: "But I think it's time to take off the kiddy gloves."

Carlos begins to smirk as his Energy becomes 2.

Raikiri: "I think I'm supposed to be afraid."

Carlos: "First, I pay 11 HP to Recycle my Blizzard Soul."

Linus: "(in head) I almost forgot about Recycle! Not all cards can do it, but I didn't expect Blizzard Soul to have it!"

Brai's ATK is now 19.

Carlos: "Next I use one Energy to activate Hunter's Fang!"

Carlos only has one energy left.

Linus: "I think you're supposed to be too!"

Brai's ATK is 25.

Carlos: "Hunter's Fang forces you to send one card to your Reserve!"

Linus sends one card from the top of his deck to his Reserve.

Linus: "Not bad."

Linus activates his Guard Card, Deflect.

Carlos: "Now that's a card that halves the damage dealt to you and sends the other half to me. The catch is that your DEF doesn't apply.

Linus has 95.5 HP as Carlos lowers to 81.5 HP.

Carlos: "I'll send it to you."

Linus draws the Set Card Ritual Heart.

Linus: "(in head) I'm going to save Recycle for a bit later."

Linus puts Ritual Heart in his hand and grabs Dragon's Roar.

Linus: "I hope you like my Set card Dragon's Roar. This card only removes 2 DEF from Brai for the next two turns."

Raikiri: "Nice choice!"

Raikiri lets out a massive roar, lowering Carlos to 74.5 HP.

Brai: "Uh... Carlos!"

Carlos draws one card.

Carlos: "I'm on it!"

Carlos has a smirk on his face.

Carlos: "Two turns bro."

Raikiri: "Say what now?"

Carlos sets a Guard Card and activates the Set Card, Fangs of Destiny.

Brai: "Two turns until you lose."

Brai's DEF is added to his ATK, boosting him up to 19 and his Energy drops to 0.

Linus: "We'll see!"

Brai leaps and digs his fangs into Raikiri's shoulder, taking his HP down to 78.5.

Linus: "Huh?"

Carlos: "It's a DEF piercing card."

Carlos sends a card from his hand to his Reserve.

Brai: "Go ahead. You've got one card left to make a comeback."

Linus draws the Boost Card Minor Vitality and now has 2 EP.

Linus: "I activate Ritual Heart!"

Raikiri's ATK is 17.

Linus: "I may only gain a little attack and you gain one Energy, but I get to draw a card!"

Raikiri gives off a bright light, taking Carlos down to 54.5 HP and brings his EP up to 1.

Carlos: "Draw your card."

Linus draws his card, knowing that if Carlos is telling the truth, he loses.

Linus: "Come on..."

Linus draws the card, looking disappointed before putting it in the Guard Card slot.

Raikiri: "So do we lose?"

Linus: "(disappointed) Yeah."

Carlos draws a card as his EP rises to 2.

Carlos: "He's a good one, I activate Energy 1!"

He now has 3 Energy.

Brai: "Hit him with your one shot."

Carlos: "I'm on it."

Carlos Recycles Hunter's Fang for 8 HP, increasing Brai to 20 ATK and lowering him to 44.5 HP.

Carlos: "Now here comes my trump card, Azure Frost!"

Raikiri: "(panicking) Th-That's a Character Card!"

Linus: "Character Card?!"

Brai's ATK doubles to 40.

Raikiri: "Hah! It's only 40 ATK! You need at least 95!"

Carlos: "Now I activate a Boost Card from my Reserve, Double Take!"

Brai's ATK doubles again to 80.

Raikiri: "Still not there!"

Carlos: "Here's my Guard Card, Nullify!"

Raikiri's DEF is 0 as Carlos sends the rest of his hand to the Reserve and his HP to 15.

Linus: "All or nothing."

Carlos: "Wrap this up Brai!"

Brai goes for the finishing blow.

Raikiri: "Well, it was nice functioning normally for a week."

Linus begins to laugh.

Brai: "What's so funny?"

Carlos remembers the Guard Card.

Carlos: "Uh oh."

Linus: "Here's my Character Card, Tempest Lightning!"

Brai: "Talk about acting!"

Linus sends his hand to the Reserve and lowers his HP to 10.

Linus: "By sending my hand to the Reserve and either lowering myself to 10 HP or lose all of my Energy, I can reverse you attack back at you at double damage!"

Lightning from Raikiri generated by Brai's attack heads straight for Carlos.

Carlos: "That's a Character Card?!"

Carlos gets attacked directly, lowering his health to 0...
