The Sun rises

Bringing a golden glow of hope

A sky so blue it defies expectation

The sun lowers

Thus twilight begins

The moon raises

A serene disk of midnight

Maddened secrets hidden in its grasp

Solar woke as the sun rose.

The golden disks light, creeping across his room as it rose.

In that half awake state, he blinked away tears from the dreams that had plagued his sleep.

He couldn't let grief rule his life, after all Mr Reaper had promised they had gone quickly.

In the distance, he could make out the sounds of Mr Reaper and Mr Geno talking, and the telltale hiss of something being made in the frying pan.

He'd been living with the couple and there son Goth for several months now, and it had been quite an experience.

He'd learned many things, such as he was what was known as an outcode as he no longer belonged to an AU and the place he'd lived had definitely not been his original AU.

Thus the mystery of who he truly was continued, but he didn't mind continuing being Solar.

Being Solar was all he knew.

Yawning he crawled out of bed, then walked across the hall where the sleepy head known as Goth slept still.

He grinned.

Thump

"SOLAR!"

"Too slow!" Solar laughed.

"Boys! No running in the hallway!" Geno called, not looking away from where he was making eggs and bacon.

"Yes Mom."

"Okay Mr Geno."

Reaper snorted.

Nightmare woke as the final rays on the sun faded, he yawned and glared with blurry eyes at the clock.

Grumbling he crawled out of bed and slipped downstairs to the kitchen, where he promptly drank a huge mug of coffee.

Ahh... caffeine.

"You have to stop looking like a zombie coming alive boss, when you drink that," Dust said from where he was reading a newspaper, the guardian of negativity did the mature thing and stuck out his tongue.

"Error stayed the night, and stole all my chocolate," Cross wailed like a child, Nightmare gave him the stink eye.

"Then steal more," he told the monochrome dressed skeleton.

"It's just not the same," Cross sighed.

'Give me patience' Nightmare begged silently.

"Hey boss, I'm going to teach Error to play spider solitaire," Horror said poking his head into the kitchen.

"And?" he asked, waiting for the other show to drop.

"We might have used real spiders, and they escaped," Horror cough.

It was at that moment that a giant spider leapt into the room.

Chaos followed.

'Dream, can I join you in death yet?' Nightmare begged.

Solar woke to the sun as always.

"Huh?" he said, confused.

He was curled up in the bed, as if there should have been another person there.
