Yellow Diamond grinned like a psychopath when she crushed Robert and Michael with a single stomp.

Relishing in her victory, she eased how great it felt to finally kill the prophesized human and his treacherous brother.

She suddenly felt a force pushing up from her foot. It grew stronger at an alarming rate until it threw her off balance for a moment. "You are going to receive an extremely poor experience!" Robert and Michael said in unison. They raised their hands and created two energy sphere, one made of fire, one of electricity, one of plant energy, and one of ice. They increased in size until they touched and merged into two spheres, then one large sphere. Yellow Diamond, now realizing what may just be their full power, jumped in her spider mech and fired the largest energy beam she could muster.

Robert and Michael released their combined energy, and it overpowered Yellow Diamond's beam. With the weapons system disabled, Michael grew a tree limb arm and grabbed the mech as it tried to retreat and pulled it down with a large crash. Yellow Diamond emerged from her mech, with both brothers in front of her "Go ahead, break me, shatter me like glass! It's what you 'heroes' do after all." She yelled.

"No!" Robert yelled. Michael looked confused. "Are you crazy? She was the one who turned me into a monster so you could die!" Michael said. "If I kill you not only am I no better than you or the mercenaries you hired, but it's a very stupid way of saying 'thank you'" Robert explained. Yellow also joined the confusion. "THANK me?" she asked.

"Think about it, if you didn't want me dead, I would have never been taken away to Beach City, I would have never got to experience all these new things, and I never would have met Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, Lapis, or anyone else here." Robert continued. I probably would have become a cold-blooded killer if I haven't met Steven" There was a long pause,

"Pathetic...I spend all this time, all this energy, all these resources to kill you, and when I think I'm done for...you spare me." Yellow Diamond said. "But before I leave, I should at least explain why I thought you needed to die."

"Thanks, but I think we got it." Michael said as he walked away.

"While Earth had its own form of the prophecy, Homeworld had another. We thought you would be turned into a superweapon. You would destroy Homeworld, as well as Earth, and you would betray your allies, and mercilessly slay planets by the trillions. The universe would be doomed" she explained. "I never thought humans, especially the prophesized one, would be so caring, and when your brother betrayed me, I was too angry with him to realize what you done. I apologize for the trouble I caused, Pink would be proud of you" Yellow Diamond explained. Robert placed a hand on the spider mech and healed it to full capacity, although he left the weapons system damaged. Yellow Diamond reentered the contraption and flew away.

Unbeknownst to them, a blue Gem Warship hovered just out of Earth's orbit. "They would make the perfect addition to the Human Zoo." An authority figure stated. "My Pearl, set a course for Earth."

"Yes my diamond..."it whispered.

When Robert, Pearl, and Connie returned home, astounded at the events that unfolded, Garnet and Steven rushed to them and wondered what happened. "What happened?" Garnet asked. "Robert...spared...Yellow...Diamond..." she stammered. "Steven, DO NOT attack them, they will END you!" said Connie as she continued to explain their full power the unleashed as well as the fact they survived being crushed.

Later that night...

Robert and Michael appeared in the same dream. They were in a room shrouded with pink clouds, and it was so thick the only thing they could see is each other. A strange, pink woman showed herself as the clouds thinned out around them. "Hello, my children." she greeted. "Lardna's our mom" Michael answered. "No, Michael, she isn't, and neither am I."the woman answered, "But that's not why I'm here. First, I wanted to say how proud I am of you and Robert for sparing Yellow Diamond. "H-how do you know our names?" asked Robert. "And if Lardna isn't our mother, then who is?" asked Michael. "And are we truly brothers" asked Robert?

"You'll find out soon enough" answered the woman.

"Anyway, the most important thing, I wanted to teach you the sixth melody." she said as she cleared her throat

And the joy of spring!

With that, Robert and Michael felt a new power flow through them. Although, they had no idea what it was. "Ask Garnet, she'll tell you everything!" she said as she began to glow."Sweet dreams" It got to a point where they were blinded and the dream ended.

Robert and Michael were equally confused. Who was this lady? Could they trust her? If Lardna wasn't their mother, then who is? Are they truly brothers? Find out as the journey continues
