Jealousy and Plotting

{Thursday, August 21, 2014/7:00pm, 30 Ft. Underground, Canterlot, Equestria}

      Ever since those... brats defeated me when I attempted to dethrone "Little Miss Perfect" Princess Celestia in Equestria's capital city, Canterlot, I have been secretly hiding out underneath the annoyingly progressive city, in caves my coven created, plotting my revenge.

      "What brats?", you ask? The "Main 6". Or the "Elements of Harmony". Whatever the hell they're called! They're 6 teenage girls who are thorns in my side! And everywhere else!

      I was once one of the most powerful, most feared Dark Mages in Equestria. Now, because those overpowered brats used the Elements of Harmony, six powerful, magical gems, in a duel against my coven and I and defeated me, I am a laughing stock!

      The great, Dark Magician, King Sombra, whom I modeled myself after, is turning in his grave right now, I just know it!

      Angry, I summon every current member of my coven to me from my elaborate, black, stone and crystal throne, which some Elemental members of my coven created for me using Earth-Elemental Magic. 'Tis magical and only I may rule from it. I cast an absorption spell on it, so the throne absorbs magic from any Magi who aren't from my coven. This keeps my coven protected.

      Taking a page from Nightmare Moon's gloriously dark book, I summon my black, jagged, hole-y, Unicorn horn from the middle of my forehead.

"Amplifium!," I yell loudly, using my magic to amplify my voice as my coven enters my "Throne Cave" through the various tunnels they magically blasted into the ground.

      The members of my "Changling" coven, a group of Metamorphic (shape-shifting), male and female Magicians led by me, a 13-Star Mage in both Metamorphosis and Transfiguration Magic, enter with their hole-y robes' hoods over their heads. They look so ominous and I'm proud. They bow before me. I tell them to relax and stand up.

      The green magic Aura engulfing my horn and throat gives this cave a creepy, green glow that I love.

"Hello, my Minions," I say loudly to my coven, but Canterlot cannot hear me, for we are very deep underground (plus, I made sure to put a Muting spell around our hideout just to be sure).

"Hello, My Queen," my coven says in unison, respect and a bit of fear radiating from them.

"I have been thinking lately," I say slowly, a smirk creeping across my face.

"About what, Your Wickedness?," one Changeling asks me, still bowing.

"My dearest Turbie!," I say with a chuckle, "I admire your undying loyalty, and you'll be rewarded soon enough, but, my goodness, relax!"

      My other Changelings laugh as well, probably making Turbulent Darkness, the most loyal of my coven, blush as he stands from his bowing position.

"Way to be a dork, Turbie," Jade, Turbulent's twin sister, the most loyal female Changeling, says to her brother jokingly, making us chuckle more.

"To answer your question, Turbulent," I continue with a serious expression, making my coven immediately silence themselves, "I have been thinking of our recent defeat at the hands of those... (*Suddenly enraged*) BRATS! HOW DARE THEY DEFEAT ME?! I AM CHRYSALIS! THE SECOND-DARKEST MAGE IN EQUESTRIAN HISTORY! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE CANTERLOTIANS HAVE BEEN SAYING ABOUT ME LATELY? IN THEIR STUPID LITTLE MAGAZINES?!"

      I pause for a moment, but none of my Changelings reply, knowing the question is a rhetorical one. I look around at them before talking again.

"THEY SAY, 'CHRYSALIS IS A FOOL TO THINK SHE CAN DETHRONE CELESTIA'!," I continue angrily, standing up, "THEY SAY, 'CHRYSALIS ISN'T THE NEW "QUEEN OF DARKNESS", SHE'S THE QUEEN OF DEFEAT!'. THEY SAY, 'CHRYSSY GOT HER ASS HANDED TO HER - BY SIX TEENAGE GIRLS!' AND LAUGH ABOUT IT! I'VE BEEN DEFEATED BY SIX TEENAGERS, MY MINIONS. SIX TEEN GIRLS WHO THINK THEY'RE SO MUCH BETTER THAN US BECAUSE THEY HAVE THEIR 'DESTINY IDENTIFICATION MARKS' AND WE DON'T HAVE OUR D.I.M.'S."

      My coven expresses their dislike of the Main 6 with booing, rude hand gestures, and rude comments about them. I smile.

"But I've also been plotting," I say in a calmer voice, smirking again, "Plotting my revenge against those brats. Our revenge."

      My Changelings cheer, happy about the prospect of getting revenge against those stupid girls who made fools out of us.

"I have chosen the time frame in which we will carry out our revenge plot!," I say happily as an idea comes to me, "During their school year!"

"Why, Mistress?," Turbulent asks, making the others, minus his sister, gasp in fear.

"Because, dear Turbie," I reply, "They'll never see it coming. We've been hiding for a full year. They think we've just given up. That, and, with the stress that school brings, they'll be distracted! We will also get revenge against the Sun Princess for giving the Main 6 the tools to defeat us in the first place: the Elements of Harmony! Celestia will rue the day she used the Elements!"

"Great plan, My Queen!," Jade says and my coven cheers.

"I know," I reply, my smirk wider than ever, extinguishing my horn, "(*Suddenly serious*) Now, off with you all!"

      My Changelings bow once and leave my cave. I am left with my revenge-filled thoughts.

School Prep Pt. 1: Rainbow Family

{Saturday, August 30, 2014/4:00pm, Rainbow Manor, Cloudsdale, Equestria}

      Celestia's brilliant, golden sun shines on a floating manor with a cloud exterior, cloud walls packed to a marble-like hardness and smoothness, marble floors, Greek architecture, and held together with strong magic. The sun gleaming on the manor's white, water-based exterior gives it an iridescent shimmer, which makes it look like a giant, elaborately carved pearl.

      A fountain on the left side of the manor spews streams of real, liquid rainbow into tiered cloud basins, each color magically separated and in order from red to violet. The liquid rainbow spills over the basin on the bottom, enchanted to evaporate into thin air so that it doesn't spill onto the land below the manor.

      This manor, called Rainbow Manor, is one gem in Equestria's #1, Greece and Rome-inspired, cloud city, Cloudsdale.

      A large, rather colorful family live in this manor:

-Cloudus Sr., a hardworking neurosurgeon

-Rainbow Mist, a housewife and former pediatrician

-Cloudus Jr., an employee at the Cloudsdale Weather Factory "CWF" (divorced; former house-husband); Rainbow Mist and Cloudus' oldest/only son

-Rainbow Strike, Equestria's Canterlot-based Supreme Justice; Rainbow Mist and Cloudus' oldest daughter

-Rainbow Shine, who owns her own online bakery, "Crystal's Confections", and makes sweet treats from home; Rainbow Mist and Cloudus' youngest daughter

-Thunder Brawn, Rainbow Strike's husband; Head of CWF's Maintenance Dept.

-Storm Cloud, Rainbow Shine's grumpy husband; a Cloudsdale lawyer

-Rainbow "Blitz" Blitz, Rainbow Strike and Thunder's oldest son

-Rainbow "R.D.", "Rain", "Dash", or "Dashie" Dash, Rainbow Blitz's twin sister

-Scootaloo, Rainbow Strike and Thunder's 2nd-oldest daughter

-Rainbow Flash, Rainbow Strike and Thunder's youngest daughter

-Crystal Rainbow, Rainbow Shine and Storm's only daughter

-Prism Aura, Cloudus' only daughter w/ his ex-wife, Sharp Wings

      On the manor's 3rd floor, 14-year-olds Rainbow Blitz and Rainbow Dash, are in their separate rooms, preparing to return to the prestigious magic academy they attend, the Solaris Academy for Stellar Magicians (SASM), on September 1st.

      The twins are rather similar - when it comes to sports and laziness, at least. Since the two are lazy, the two are packing their luggage in ways that don't require them to move from their beds.

      Being a 10-Star Mage in Levitation (Excels Hornless Casting) and an 8-Star Mage in Animation Magic (Above-Average Hornless Casting), Rainbow Dash, who is lying on her belly on her bed, reading a comic book she's levitating, enchants her wardrobe, making it come to life so that it packs itself into her large, black, studded suitcase and matching luggage bags.

      Blitz, on the other hand, is a 10-Star Magician in Portals (Excels Dependent Casting, meaning he's got great magical prowess, but depends on the use of his horn), so, as he plays video games, he uses 1 Vacuum Portal to suck his wardrobe into 1 portal combined with a Loop Portal over each of his dark-blue luggage bags so that the wardrobe items land in their designated suitcase or bag.

||Rainbow Dash's POV||

School Prep Pt. 2: A Visit From a Friend

{5:00pm, Rainbow Dash's Room, Rainbow Manor}

      After packing my stuff into my black suitcase and matching luggage bags magically, I'm sitting here in my white, cloud room, lying on my cloud bed, binge-watching some "Magical Girl" anime called "Go, Go, Juno!", which is about this short chick named Juno who saves the world. I am watching it in Japanese because I am 1/4 Japanese (mom's side) and speak Japanese fluently. I'm on episode 1 of Season 2 already (I've been watching it for hours ;P).

      I spend about half an hour digitally drawing Juno fanart on my MagiArt tablet. Suddenly, my house's loud-ass doorbell rings.

"Da f?," I ask myself, hopping out of my bed to answer the door.

      Who is visiting me right now?, I ask myself as I enter my home's 3rd floor elevator, confused af. None of my besties called. My 'rents aren't home. So who?!

      As I reach the marble-floored hallway near my front doors, the doorbell rings again, nearly destroying my poor eardrums. >:(

"Coming!," I say, hoping I'm hiding my irritation well.

      I look through the peephole of the twin door to my left. It's - it's Soarin Skies, my oldest childhood friend! X3 We've known each other since we were babies! I open the door to my left happily.

"Holy Celestia, Soar!," I say to Soarin', hugging him, "I haven't seen you all week!"

"Sorry 'bout that, Rain," Soar replies, an apologetic expression replacing his smile, "School prep.'s a bitch."

"I know right?," I reply, feeling his pain.

      We both laugh. Then, Soar looks at me in a way that makes me just a little uncomfortable. :| He's dazed, like he's in a trance. o_O

||Soarin Skies' POV||

Weird, Unexpected Feelings

{5:33pm, Rainbow Manor, Outside The Front Doors}

      Why the hell am I just staring at my childhood friend like she's some long-lost treasure or something?! >/)< I've known her my whole life! Oh, wait, I know why: suddenly, after all these years (which makes... no sense... 😳), I'm noticing how unbelievably attractive she is. O.O

      With long, rainbow-colored hair (currently in 2, low ponytails), golden skin, sharp cheekbones, violet-magenta eyes, full, pink lips, and an apparent hourglass figure I've noticed before, but never really thought about ('til today), Rainbow Dash is 5'10'' of gorgeous. Said hourglass figure is wrapped in one of those romper things girls wear. Cyan, strapless, and made out the material used for basketball jerseys, the romper hugs her curves. She looks amazing.

"Uh, Soar?," I hear Rain's voice say, "Earth to Soarin'!"

"Sorry, Dashie," I tell Rainbow as she waves her hands in front of my face, "I got distracted."

"By-?," Dashie replies, looking at me like I'm nuts.

"Nothing!," I say nervously as she tugs the red drawstring at the waist of her romper, which is, apparently, one long shoelace, "Can we go inside? It's warm out here."

      Rainbow nods and invites me into her house, closing the door behind me.

[Time Passes]

Hanging Out

{7:30pm, Rainbow Manor's Indoor Theater}

"Man," I begin as Rainbow and I settle into the middle, 4th row theater seats of Rainbow Manor's indoor theater, grinning, trying to steady the 3-foot bag of cheddar popcorn on my lap, "This is a big-ass bag of popcorn! You think we can finish it in one night?"

"Dunno," Rain says with a dimpled smirk, "But I'll try. Now open it. 'Eternal Night' is starting!"

      I nod, grinning, then open the resealable bag of popcorn on my lap. We begin digging into the bag, happily watching a zombie movie called Eternal Night. The movie stars Stargazer, this blue and purple-haired, curvy actress loved by male Magi across Equestria, as Nightmare Moon.

      The movie's about what could have happened if Nightmare Moon had gotten the chance to plunge Equestria into eternal darkness after she returned in 2012. Since there's no sun to grow crops for food, and despite the efforts of Light-Elemental Magi producing imitation sunlight to help farmers (along with other Elemental Magi), both crops and people begin dying. Since Nightmare Moon destroyed the Elements of Harmony, the Tree of Harmony in the Everfree Forest, the source of Equestria's Light Magic, dies too. Light Magic is dead now, so Dark Magic seeps through Equestria, hindered by nothing. Survivors, mainly Elemental Magi, are corrupted by Dark Magic. Then Dark Magic awakens the dead, leaving the survivors with evil, magical zombies. They are forced to join together. This togetherness rejuvenates the tree and powers the survivors. They gently send the dead back to their graves by overpowering the Dark Magic with Light Magic. They storm into Nightmare Moon's palace, overpower her, and banish her to Tartarus. The End.

      After 2 hours of Eternal Night, Rain's parents enter the theater. Rain had fallen asleep 5 minutes before the movie ended, so I wake her up. I tell her I have to leave. We hug and I walk to the kitchen to throw away the popcorn bag. That's right; we finished a 3-foot bag of popcorn filled to the very top. 😏

A Princess' Gratitude

{10:30pm, Twilight's Bedroom, The Sparkle Residence, Canterlot, Equestria}

      At 10:29pm, after packing my entire wardrobe into my violet, glittery, luggage trunk and turning it into a charm for my MagiStuff charm bracelet, I pick up Daring Do and the Compass, the latest installment of a "Page-Turner Award"-winning book series. My favorite series, in fact.

      At 10:30, a Post Portal opens above my head, its ring of magic made of a yellow magic aura I know all to well. An ivory envelope bearing Equestria's royal seal emerges from the orange and yellow swirling magic of the portal, landing in my lap. A golden, metallic sun is embossed onto the envelope at the top, right corner, so I know it is from Princess Celestia herself. I open the envelope and a small, ivory, piece of paper, bearing the royal seal and the sun, slips out. I open the piece of paper, which had been folded 3 times. It contains a letter that reads:

Dearest Twilight,

I knew you would be awake at this late hour. I have great news for you and the other bearers of the Elements.

This year, once you arrive at Starbright Station to board the train to Solaris Academy, a special car at the end of the train will be waiting to take the six of you to SA. It is to reward you all for keeping Equestria safe. Because of your unwavering devotion to protecting us all, you are all royalty in my eyes.

      Celestia, the Back-to-School frenzy's startin'. And it's drivin' me up the wall. On top of gettin' me and my brother Big Mac's supplies for our 3rd and 4th years of Higher Learning (HL) at Solaris Academy (SA), we had to get supplies for my little sister, Apple Bloom, who ain't in Primary Learning (PL) no more. She's 14, so she's startin' 'er 1st year of HL at SA.

      As I manually pack my stuff into the wooden trunk my Granny, Granny Smith, used when she went to SA, my phone rings with a bell sound. That means I got text messages. The texts:

So... this chapter is slightly different than how I planned it in the LASA outline I made... 😳😂

How? Well, originally, all of the Main 6 were supposed to get POV's, but I stopped with A.J. because the chapter would be too long and, due to the text messages in A.J.'s POV explaining what's going on with a few of the girls, I felt the other POV's would be pointless (and waste energy I don't have 😩). 😊
