Captive

I wake up in a capsule, and wonder if a dream could really take place over ten days. I take in my surroundings and realize that I'm not at the hideout. My windbreaker is hanging outside the capsule and my rain boots are placed messily under my windbreaker. The last thing I want is to be found by Douglas, or worse: Krane. Either one of them would kill me if they ever do find me. I haven't been punished, ever. I have avoided it because I know what "punishment" means. My plan is to break out myself. The problem is: it's bionic proof.

I step out of the capsule and stretch, which hurts my shoulders and back for some reason. I look at them and realize that they're sunburned around my tank top. I look around again and see a bottle of aloe vera with a note. I don't bother to read it, I know it's from Bree, who's always wanted her sister back. I take advantage and spread it on my burns.

I realize that this "cell" is more like a bedroom, a lot less harsh than the ones back at the hideout. The worst cell we had was the most recent.

I pressed the button on the side of my neck, changing my form to whatever the geo mask was programed to look like. I looked at myself.

"Seriously? I just had to be Leo." I said.

"Well who else would you be?" Douglas said, but sounding and looking like Mr. Davenport, giving me shivers.

"What about Tasha? At least I could be another girl." I said.

"Well they're expecting Leo."

"Fine."

We flew to the ship that we located Adam, Bree, and Chase were on. They got in the stolen helicopter and we flew off as Douglas's geo mask glitched. I tried to act like Leo.

"Um... Big D?"

"Yeah?" He said faintly, as if he was not paying attention. He knew his brother well, Adam, Bree, And Chase never suspected anything.

"Never mind, the problem is fixed."

That had been our key words for "YOUR MASK IS GLITCHING" and he fixed it before anyone ever saw anything.

We got back to our hideout and they were put into a cell that looked like it had three big metal hula hoops swirling around them. They were squished together.

T

his was anything but tight. I check in my bag to see how much stuff I still have.

Everything but my pocket knife remains in my bag. I find my cell phone and turn it on, no internet. I expected that, but it was worth a try.

The door opens and Mr.Davenport walks in. I'm not really listening, but he says something about "being on the side that saves people" and that "he is awesome." Seriously, could this guy get any more cocky? He leaves, pressing buttons that I thought might be a code, but about a minute afterward a white screen with a guy made from only black lines, but he didn't look human, just doodles.

"Hi!" He says in an annoying voice. I scream. He screams afterward.

"WHO ARE YOU!?"

"The name's Eddie sweetheart," he says sarcastically. I could almost hear the histarical laughter from outside the room. I am tough for a girl of twelve, so I decide to crack Eddie's screen, but when my hand comes back to me it's sore and the screen is untouched. This is just another reason to escape.
