The house was very quiet.
Nothing out of the ordinary in the Jung household especially as of recent. Wooyoung turns off his phone and sits up in his bed after having spent all day in his room watching YouTube videos. He inhales deeply and runs his hair through his dark messy hair. He realizes he probably needed a hair cut but wasn't bothered enough to get a trim.
Then he sits there in silence, the darkness of his room swallowing him whole and he finds himself slowly descend into a numbness. He knew his face was probably extremely puffy with dried tears stains from early that morning still tracked down his cheeks. Of course he knew, he'd been crying so much he didn't have anymore tears left in him.
In fact just the thought of shedding anymore tears tired him out. He hated feeling like this. He'd woke up that morning and the first thing he did was cry his eyes out. He'd never felt this way about... anything before. Never felt so miserable.
He wanted to talk to someone. But who would listen? He's certainly not dumb enough to talk to his mom or step father about it. Nor does he have any close enough friends who will listen to what he has to say without wanting a quick hook up as a 'reward'. There was Seonghwa but they haven't spoken to each other in weeks.. the only real friend he had he managed to fuck that up.
So he was alone.
He releases a choked laugh when he felt tears sting at his eyes again. "No more crying" He whines under his breath and sniffs loudly while looking at his window and at the dark evening sky.
He releases a long sigh, grabs his laptop from his desk and returns back to his bed. "This is stupid" He mutters as he types up a random online chatroom.
He wasn't entirely sure what he was looking to achieve but he wanted.. no, needed, to talk to someone. Anyone. Even if it was some random Joe online.
The first person that came up was actually a crotch shot of what looked like a man with a towel over his hips. They man drags the towel off and his solid member spring to life with his hand sliding up and down his shaft. Wooyoung was so taken back he instinctively hit skip.
"Fuck- maybe I shouldn't use Omegle" He curses.
The next person was a girl, she looked young. Too young and probably no older than 9. He wondered what a girl her age was doing on an obscene website like this. He didn't bother asking and just skipped.
The third was a guy that looked around his age. He seemed normal enough. His bleach blonde hair fell forward in wisps on his forehead and in front of his eyes. He leans forward on his desk, brushing his bangs back then rests his cheek on his hand. Wooyoung spots a few freckles dotted on his nose and cheeks.
Woah. He's really handsome. He couldn't help but think as he shifted a bit then clears his throat. "Uhm hi" He starts since the stranger just stared at him with dark eyes.
"Hey" They respond in English, his deep voice catching Wooyoung off guard. "What's up?" The stranger flashes a small smile, his peach colored lips stretching upwards a little. Wooyoung caught a bit of an accent in his English.
He could barely find his voice. He hadn't expected to run into anyone as cute as the stranger in front of him. "Do you speak Korean?" Wooyoung quizzes hoping he did because he knew he couldn't keep up a proper conversation with the him with the basic English he knew.
The blonde boy chuckles a little, the sound echoing through Wooyoung's laptop speakers. "I do" He says in Korean. "How are you?"
This time Wooyoung laughs shortly. "Honestly, not that great" He brushes his hair back slightly. It was dark in his room the only light source coming from his laptop screen.
The blonde cocks his head to the side, his brows furrows slightly. "Why do say that?"
"Just... some relationship problems. If you can even call it that" He scoffs under his breath as he realizes just how very unusual his relationship with San was.
"I get that" He responds with an understanding smile. "I'm Felix by the way"
"I'm Wooyoung" He couldn't help but feel his cheeks heat up at Felix's charming smile.
"Nice to meet you. This relationship problem, did they cheat or something?" He asks with genuine interest as he reaches for his water bottle.
"No. He said some hurtful things and he kept pushing me away. Saying 'it's for the best', whatever that means" Wooyoung absentmindedly played with one of the keys on his keyboard, his thumbs running over the smooth finish of the button.
"Sounds like you just need to talk to him? Ask him to explain himself maybe?" Felix says after taking a sip of his water but it sounded more like a question.
"That's just it, I tried. But I don't even think he has a reason. I wanted it to work out so bad. I wanted us to work but he clearly just wants to bring the curtains down on the whole thing. Fuck I-" He chokes up and rubs his eyes angrily.
"Why am I even wasting my time?" He finishes, voice hoarse.
Felix just watches him quietly. "I think you've done all you can. And if he doesn't seem to want it then maybe it is time to bring the curtains down on the whole thing"
Wooyoung releases a loud sigh. He felt his heart squeeze painfully. He's right. And he knew it deep down all along but maybe he just needed someone to lay on him straight.
"If it's just you putting in all the effort to make it work then it isn't gonna work. A relationship is like a two way street, y'know?" Felix adds.
Wooyoung nods a little. He hated that he'd managed to fall for San. It would only make it that much harder to move on from him. It's better that way. "I hate this" He releases a long breath of exasperation.
Felix chuckles a little. "Sorry I'm not very good at giving relationship advice" He scratches the back of his neck. Wooyoung immediately shakes his head.
"No no you're good. I just mean I hate all of this" Wooyoung laughs, but anyone could tell it came from a place of brokenhearted desolation.
"I get it. Getting over someone isn't easy at all. I can tell you that first hand" Felix begins playing with his water bottle. "What's worse is he was my best friend but he didn't feel the same way. I confessed to him and ruined our friendship" The blonde boy begins nibbling on his bottom lip.
"So would you say you're completely over him now?" Wooyoung asks with mild curiosity.
"I've moved on but he was my first love. And first loves are always hard to completely forget. Some might even say impossible" Felix had a sad look on his face, the corners of his lips dipping down a little. He had his eyes fixed on his keyboard.
"Impossible sounds about right" Wooyoung mutters.
"This guy, is he your first love?" Felix asks, brushing through his hair briefly.
"I mean I've only ever been in one relationship before and I thought I loved him but looking back at it... I don't think I did. I think I was just in love with the idea of having someone who gave me attention" The dark haired boy reminisces of his middle school years.
"When we broke up of course I was upset but not like this. Nothing like this at all. Not to talk of how much of an abusive asshole the guy was" Wooyoung says the last part jokingly but Felix could tell he was deeply affected by that past relationship.
"I've never been in a relationship" Felix says after a few long seconds of silence. Wooyoung looks up from his hand and up at Felix's sincere expression which then shifts into a half smile.
"Seriously?"
Felix nods. "Why's that so hard to believe?" He laughs softly, the sound tingling Wooyoung's ears. His bright set of teeth almost blinding him.
Wooyoung laughs too. "Well you're so handsome. It's hard to believe you're single even"
Felix couldn't help but smile wider though he tries to contain the smile. "A handsome dude on omegle said I'm handsome? I'm flattered" He leans forward on his desk.
He thinks I'm handsome? Wooyoung smiles a little, shifting his eyes back to his keyboard. "Where are you from? You spoke English earlier so are you abroad?" Desperate to change the topic before he made it weird.
Felix nods his head. "I'm from Australia but I'm gonna be studying in Seoul this fall. You?
"I'm living in Seoul right now" Wooyoung exclaims.
"Oh? Hopefully we can meet up soon then? You seem like good company"
"Yeah. Hopefully. Hey um, thanks for listening to me and my... problems. I probably sounded ridiculous" Wooyoung laughs at himself then runs his hands over his face. He knew he probably looked a mess with his disheveled hair and puffy face but he didn't wanna care about that right now.
"You didn't. I loved listening to you. Also I've been told I'm a pretty good listener" Felix says humorously.
Wooyoung just nods. "Right.." He chuckles.
Felix smiles at his unique laugh. "If you don't mind I'd like to talk to you again? Did you have a phone number?" He asks with his head cocked to the side and a grin but Wooyoung could tell he was a little nervous about asking for his number.
He never thought it was a good idea to share numbers with a stranger especially not in Omegle of all places. But he liked Felix. He's cute, funny and genuine. Which was why he didn't waste time typing in his phone number in the chat box and hitting send.
Felix does the same and Wooyoung immediately saves the number on his phone. "It was nice talking to you Wooyoung" Felix's deep voice snaps him back to attention.
Wooyoung nods with a smile. "You too"
"We'll talking later I guess" Felix leans back in his chair and begins fluffing and ruffling his soft blonde hair. "Bye"
Wooyoung just waves at the screen before hitting 'stop'. Felix's smiling face disappears from the top box and a black screen stares back at him. Wooyoung sighs and slides his laptop close. He almost wanted them to keep talking. Once the video chat was over he felt the sad reality creep back in again and he releases a long sigh then falls sideways on his bed after shifting his laptop to the side.
His jet black bangs scatters across his face and he blows a strand of hair back but it falls forward again. "How do I forget about you, San? Just... how?" He whispers.
