XANTHOS

"Fuck you!" Natasha yelled when Mason by 'mistake' stepped on her feet.

"Oh? Really? I've been waiting for you to ask me since I first saw you."

"Whoa, calm down, beta. She's my sister. Stop talking like that to her." Edrala said with a warning glare.

Mason raised his hands in surrender. "I was just trying to be sarcastic."

I rolled my eyes and resumed walking as their commotion continued between them. My only concern was Bella, the love of my life.

'Even mine! My mate!' Luciano exclaimed in my mind.

'Yeah, She's Mine and yours but not Vlaxin's. Isn't that right?'

I know what I was doing. I was surely going to play with fire now. He had been very silent which I didn't want. I felt he knew something about this entire situation but doesn't want to share it.

'I would never give control to Vlaxin if our mate is near us.'

I believed he understood what I was doing.

However, still, I and Luciano didn't get any reply.

I growled in frustration. 'Vlaxin! Come on, talk something for me to know you're alive!' 

No reply. I can't feel his presence in my mind. I know he has done something to secure himself from me.

'I attempted to reaching him out, but some wall is blocking me.' Luciano muttered sadly.  

'How? Why?'

I waited for an answer. I thought back to the time when I was under Vanessa's compulsion. She was an influential witch but also a powerful bitch. She was one of those sorcerers who had the power to bring me in their compulsion. Well, Moon goddess gave me a big flaw there.

However, my demon got never compelled but he couldn't break the compulsion either.

"Leonardo, please hear me out for once! Your decision isn't right--" Amanda ran behind me towards our or more like my room.

She was really getting on my nerves. I knew my decision was right. It was for the welfare of my kingdom not for her race.

I stopped and turned swirled around in irritation.

"You're from a selfish category of species and I know what's your plan way to well."

Vlaxin growled in my mind.

'Stop insulting mate. She's different from her kind. You're compelled and I know you don't want to do what you're doing. Just say another word to her and you would never gain my powers.'

'I don't care. I know I'm not compelled. Vanessa has always been right and will always be right.'

"Leo, please. I beg you." Amanda fell on her knees. Tears ran down her cheeks but I didn't care for her. I heard Vlaxin whimper in my head and tried to gain the control but something blocked him. "People of this realm would suffer if you would allow supernatural above you."

Stop! I yelled at myself in my mind. I can't think about that anymore. Past is past and now I had to mend it.

I was a complicated character in my past. I never believed her, my mate. She was always right and not others.

"Alpha?" Someone shook my shoulders bringing me back to reality. I looked at the person and saw it was Mason who was trying to get my attention.

"Yeah, Mason?" I questioned him. I specifically called him his name because I didn't want him to call me with my position.

"Where are we going?" He asked hesitantly.

Oh shit! I totally forgot I was walking.

"I zoned--" the most fantastic smell hit my nose. "Mate," I whispered.

I stared around me and at last found her standing right in front of me. 

I watched her as she lifted her hand and touched the transparent blue shield around me.

She had a frightened expression on her face which made her look cute. "There's an invisible wall," she whispered.

How much I dreaded to hear her voice. My mate was here.

I lifted my hands and kept it in front of me and thought of the hemispherical shield disappearing around me and the others.

The Hemi-ball slowly appeared around me before disappearing.

Bella's face held shock all over her face. Her eyes wandered up and down my body to check if I was real before her gaze connected with mine.

I couldn't look away from her blue-green eyes. They held a different shine in them. I stepped unhurriedly towards her whereas she remained where she was standing. She just looked shocked. Her face was covered with dirt and had few scratches as though she rolled down a small hill. Her blondish-brown hair flew around her face as the wind whirled around.

I stood in front of her and tilted her head upwards with my thumb to look at her face. With the same hand, I deliberately stroked her cheeks and brushed away the hair sticking on her face.

"Leonardo," she whispered. "Are you here for real?" She skimmed her fingertips near my collar bone and gazed at me with her doe eyes.

I smiled lightly and nodded my head.

"I'm here for real." As soon as I whispered those words, she wrapped her arms around me and snuggled.

I removed my hands off of her face and wrapped my arms around her. I bent down and nuzzled her neck; breathing in her scent.

I held her close me for dear life. Her body shook as she cried.

"Please don't cry." I tried to speak strongly but my voice broke at the end.

I fucking missed her so much. I didn't know if she was save for almost a month. I sometimes had a thought that I wouldn't be able to find her forever.

'Our mate,' Luciano purred in delight.

An involuntary animalistic growl escaped my lips. But, Bella didn't pull away instead came more close to me. I felt Vlaxin's presence back in my mind.

"I-I was so afraid." She breathed shakily. "I-I didn't know where I was, Leo."

I pulled away from her. This was her second time calling me 'Leonardo' instead of 'Xanthos'.

Her face held confusion as I quickly pulled away.

"W-what did you call me?" I stuttered.

"Leonardo..." She trailed off.

"B-but my name is Xanthos, right Bella?" I feigned confusion.

"I remember everything." She stood confidently.

I again pulled her in a tight hug. She squealed slightly before wrapping her arms around me.

"Amanda,"  Vlaxin whispered in her ears. "I'm right here. I'll never leave you alone."

He growled lightly in her ears.

I no longer had control of myself as Vlaxin took the control. Bella gazed at Vlaxin's eyes in awe.

She lifted her hand and swept it below my dark pool of eyes.

"Me too, Vlaxin." She paused. "I love you, mate."

He pulled her towards our body and smashed our lips on hers before giving back my control.

He and Luciano purred happily as our mate finally confessed that she loves us. I continued what Vlaxin left me to do so.

"We love you too, mate."

"Eww! Enough of this-- what was that word? Yeah, poop. I can't bear it anymore!" Bella pulled away and snapped her head towards where the voice was heard.

I lifted my head up and stared at the person who interrupted my moment with her.

There stood a half-naked man wearing a hoodie. I growled and looked at Bella who was walking towards him. I noticed Natasha glaring at Edrala but Edrala shook her head for something.

A girl and a man who radiated Alpha power we're standing beside the half-naked guy.

All were in the same condition as my mate. What happened to them? I noted the question in my mind to ask them later.

I ran towards her side and encircled my arm around her waist.

"Wait--"

"We need to go!" Natasha yelled at the same time Edrala yelled, "we needn't go!"

Bella and I walked towards them. My mate smiled at Natasha and Edrala but then they both had a serious look.

"Someone is coming here. We need to hide somewhere safe. Let's go to the clan nearby." The Alpha muttered and bowed his head towards me.

I nodded my head and didn't question him why did he bow.

"But the only clan nearby is 'La Unité'. It's better to stay here instead of going." Edrala shouted as growls and snarls were heard around everywhere.

"I guess we are too late to escape!" Mason shouted.

"Ah! Here there was get together going on." The half-naked guy with Gamma powder radiating said.

"You would have done the same thing if you found your mate--" Mason started but I interrupted him.

"Don't waste time. Run to the nearby Clan." I growled causing them to obey me.

They shifted except for the girl and Kathy.

Urgh! Kathy is another huge problem here. "How can I--"

"Fuck off and run if you want to save your life." She just stood there.

"Xanthos, they're near us." A sweet voice spoke loudly. "We need to run!"

"I know," I said and I slipped my one arm under her back and the other arm beneath her knees before lifting her up and spreading my wings.

I knew there was no time for me to shift in my wolf.

With one single push, I flew up along with her. I gazed down at my mate and saw her looking down at were Kathy was standing.

"What about her?"

"I feel like she was purposefully stationary there," I said.

"But why? Did she realize that this was the place she lived before?"

"Maybe or she knew about the past from before and acted as though she didn't remember."

"What do you think is going to happen?" She asked as she gripped my shoulder tightly.

"To confront the evil."
