♟Chapter 34♟

X A N T H O S
"Leave me the fuck alone!" I growled.
I struggled as Mason and twenty packguards tied silver chains around my wrists and my ankles.
I wriggled and shuddered when the silver started reacting with my skin. I couldn't feel the pain that it should entirely inflict. I felt numb.
"I would massacre you all as soon as I would release myself from here, assheads!"
They have no right to do this on me. They can't chain their Alpha.
"We are truly sorry, Alpha but we've no other choice. You've wrecked half of the packhouse. We don't want you to hurt any pack members," Mason said shaking his head.
"And why am I in this state?" I asked as calmly as possible.
No one replied to what I questioned.
"I asked you a question!"
All looked at each other and seemed hesitant to answer.
"Come on, don't hesitate to reply to your Alpha."
"Your mate--" one of the pack guards started but I cut them off.
"She's your Luna!" I yelled and broke one of the silver chains that were tied around my wrist. I didn't feel anything. My attention was only at my pack guards. "It has been a week since I last knew anything about her. No one would know the pain of losing your mate twice. No one would understand what it would feel when you get what you yearned for the most but left as soon as it came!" I broke the chains which were tied at my ankles.
"I'm sorry, Alpha. I couldn't find any way to reach there. The spell that is spanned around the underworld has made it nearly impossible for us to track that place." Mason said with his head hung down.
"I have heard this many times, you asshole!" I snarled at him. Though it wasn't his mistake I acted irrationally. I had little to no control over my body. "However, you're supposed to be my beta and do what I order!" I unnecessarily used my Alpha power.
He just bowed his head along with other members.
Growls after growls erupted from my throat.
I yearned for my mate. I need the message that she is safe and sound. I need her scent to linger where ever I go.
"Urgh! I fucking need her." I broke the last chain before clasping my hand around one of the pack guards neck who heroically tied me with silver cuffs. "And you, a piece of shit, is going to die." With that said, I snapped his neck and carelessly dropped him to the ground.
I glanced at others who were in the cell. Everyone stared at the dead corpse lying with petrified expression.
I smirked and tried to catch hold of my other prey but stopped at what Mason told next.
"Xanthos." I clenched my jaw but didn't interrupt him. "Bella wouldn't agree to what you're doing." I nodded in understanding. "Just think what to do next, Alpha." He sighed.
How was I supposed to think what to do next when I don't know how she was doing--
'Why can't we try to transition ourself?' Luciano suggested in my head.
My mouth formed a thin line. How was he calm?
It has been years for me since I last was a king. A king should always be calm and collected during the chaos. I was trying to be relaxed but my other two souls were already steady and were planning for something.
I was never a perfect king in my past life but now I would try to be a good one. My weakness was that I can get compelled easily by any influential sorcerer which I would try to bring in my control.
"We--" I pointed at myself and Mason, "--would be transitioning."
Mason frowned. "You've not done that before. Do you know how to do that?"
'Tell him you know,' Luciano muttered confidently. Too confident to be good.
'You know?'
'Just tell him! Time isn't gonna wait for us.'
"I know." I breathed out the answer.
Mason smiled a little. "I know you don't know."
I ignored the statement and turned towards the guards.
"Out," I demanded the pack guards. They tilted their head to a side before exiting the cell.
It was a small enclosure which was located along with the other rooms of my floor so that I could punish those who were a part of my pack and would have done something which shouldn't have been done with me. It could be called has 'Special chamber'.
"Do you think they would allow us to come along with them?"
"Isn't that Natasha's voice?" Mason asked with one eyebrow raised.
I nodded my head and continued to listen. A girl squeal was heard which caused me rolled my eyes.
"Kathy?" Mason asked with two eyebrows raised.
I hummed. "Yeah, it's Vanessa there." I bitterly snickered. "She hasn't remembered the past yet."
"Again, why was she here?" It was Edrala's voice.
What are they doing here?
'How to do transition, Luciano?'
'I know what to do. Let me out and I would take care.'
'I doubt you know what to do. But I know you remember a lot of sorcery than mine.'
"Could we come along with you? We may help you with something one day." Natasha was pleading to Mason. I rolled my eyes.
"I have got no time here. I don't want to argue with you all." I growled.
I let Luicano's human self out.
'Luciano? You may proceed.'
'Haha, I don't know how to do. But I would try.'
'What?!'
'I just want to save my mate.'
'Give me my control back.'
He ignored me and started twitching our hands. A big blue sheet enveloped the cell. I felt the energy in my body getting drained.
"Xanthos? You're going to transition the entire room." Mason yelled.
Shit! What was he doing?
'Luciano? What are you doing?'
The floor underneath my feet quivered and a loud blast echoed in my ears.
"This isn't--Ahh!" Natasha fell off of the ground.
This isn't how the transition works.
I struggled until I got my control back.
'You're a fucker, Luciano. Damn! I thought you remember the past tricks that we created!'
'The only soul who knows each and everything is Vlaxin. Not to mention, he is so quiet right now.'
Bright white light surrounded around me and others. I felt my leg slip forward and before I knew it I, with others shifted to a place which was my last thing for me to come.
"Ahhh!" My ears hurt because of the shrill scream.
All fell to the ground and groaned in pain.
"Shit man, this isn't how the shifting process from one world to the other world works." Mason got up from the ground.
"Eww! We're in a dirty forest." Kathy whined and gazed around. Natasha rolled her eyes.
"I hope they don't have those 'modern' technologies which could detect that we're here." Edrala scowled.
"Its either hide or die situation," Mason whispered.
My hands lifted on their accord and before I could comprehend what I was doing, a light blue half ball-like structure built slowly around me and others; like a spider spreading its web.
'Vlaxin?'
However, Luciano didn't get any reply.
"Wow!" Kathy shrieked.
"Could you stop screeching!" Mason scowled.
"Okay!" She screeched again.
I tried my best to ignore her and set my mind to fulfil my intentions of coming here.
"Let's go," I said with determination.
Here we come, inferis.
