Akira P.O.V

The ninja were on deck training except I don't see Kai anywhere. And Monkey King came back from putting Ruby to bed

"So, how did you put Ruby to bed? She doesn't fall asleep that easy unless she's with you" I said

"I told her a story and surrounded her with her plushies along with the cat, and she was out like a light" Monkey King said and I silently stared at him "What? I'm telling the truth!"

"You gave her some of Sandy's Sleepy Time Tea, didn't you?" I asked as I lifted up my brow, and he nodded to admit it. Then I looked back at the ninjas training and Mei was recording them, then Nya turned on the lights

"Good training. Your powers are getting stronger" Nya said "But where's Kai?"

"I'm wondering the same thing" I said and we all went back inside the ship to look for Kai

We were about to split up to look for Kai, but we heard noises coming from Wu's room, MK carefully opened the door and we met with a sight of Kai wearing the Green Ninja suit and doing some ninja moves. Of course, Mei started recording

"Fire! Unlock fire! Um... fire go! Shoot flames!" Kai shouted as he started to look frustrated "Oh, come on! Everyone else can do it, so can you. Bring heat!" Kai started doing push-ups and when he jumped back on his feet, that was when he saw us standing by the door while laughing

"Very nice. Perhaps if you tried the phrase 'fire dork' maybe it might work" Cole said

"How long have you all been watching?" Kai asked looking embarrassed

"Long enough for me to record every second of it" Mei said

"You better delete that!" Kai shouted

"Ha ha! Never!" Mei said

"Make sure to send me the video, Mei" MK said and Mei gave him the thumps up

"Don't send anything!" Kai shouted

"Kai, why are you wearing the suit?" I asked

"Well, I was hoping for some kind of clue sensei and I found this" Kai tried to explain

"But didn't sensei say something like only he who is foretold to face Lord Garmadon is destined to be the Green Ninja or something like that?" MK asked as he tried to remember Wu's words

"Yeah... But I thought if I just tried it on, it might help me see my true potential. It's not fair you guys have unlocked your cool powers and I still haven't. Besides, sensei's gone and we don't know when he's coming back" Kai said

"Hello? I'm home" We heard Wu's voice from the deck

"Sensei!" Cole, Jay and Zane ran upstairs

"You better change back into your red gi or Wu is gonna find out you've been snooping around his stuff" I said as I left the room and I heard Kai immediately started changing

On Deck

When everyone minus Kai were on the deck, we greeted Wu

"Ah, it's good to be home" Wu said

"So glad you're back" Zane said

"Did you bring anything?" Cole asked

"Oh, sensei, have you missed a lot. Zane's a nindroid, Nya's the mysterious samurai, Akira is an amazing singer, Cole's a dancer-" Jay was listing off the event's so far while he was away

"Zane is a what?" Wu looked confused

"You've been gone for a while. We'll catch you up later. But you should know that all of us except Kai have discovered our true potential" Zane said

"Have you now?" Wu sounded impressed and noticed that Kai isn't with us "Where is Kai?"

Then Kai came running up the stairs

"Right here! So glad you're back safe" Kai said and we a pair of four arms behind Wu, and stepping from behind was a man with very dark skin and red eyes

"What the?!" I exclaimed and Mei took a picture of the man

"Aah! Sensei! Behind you!" Kai lunged forward towards the man as he pulled out his Golden Weapon

"Sensei!" Zane jumped in front of Wu to protect from any upcoming attacks, but for some reason he's doing it in slow motion

"Aah! He got four arms!" Kai shouted as he pinned the man on the ground after he fell backwards to dodge the attack

"So we meet again" The man said

"He must've followed you, sensei!" Kai said

"Kai, stop! He is the reason I left. For so long as Pythor has Lloyd, he will be our guest" Wu said

"We have to live with guy?" Cole asked

"But sensei, he has four arms" Zane said

"Uh... must I remind you ever since he turned evil, he's been trying to get our Golden Weapons?" Jay reminded

"Enough!" Wu shouted

"Yes, sensei" The ninja said in unison

"This isn't about the weapons, it's about my son" The man said

"Uh... son? Who's your son?" MK asked

"And who the heck are you?!" Mei asked

"Everyone, this is Garmadon. My brother and Lloyd's father" Wu introduced

"Wwwwwwhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttt?!?!?!?!" We all shouted

"Hold up! This is the guy you've telling us about?!" Monkey King asked as he pointed at Garmadon, and both MK and Mei were left speechless

"A talking monkey? That's new" Garmadon said as he looked surprised

"Man, I can't imagine how Mr. Tang and Pigsy are gonna react" MK said

"Tang will probably pull out his diary to write down any information about the guy" Mei said 

"These are our guests from a different world" Wu said as he cleared his throat "From here on out,  you will obey me and you will respect my brother"

"Yes, sensei" The ninja said as they bowed

"Now to the bridge. We must put our attention to more pressing matters" Wu said as he and Garmadon started heading to the bridge, and I noticed Kai glaring at Garmadon

Morning

As the sun rose up in the sky, Ruby was the first one to wake up. She was whining about Monkey King not sleeping next to her and the moment she saw Garmadon, she screamed and ran out of the bridge, then she later came back with her arms full of her plushies including the cat and started throwing her plushies at Garmadon one by one

When she ran out of her plushies to throw, she picked up the cat and threw him towards Garmadon, and luckily he caught the cat, but the cat was shaking from being thrown and started to cry a bit

'The poor kitty' I thought as I took the cat from Garmadon and started petting him, hoping he'll calm down and I looked at Ruby

"Ruby, don't throw animals like that. That's how you scare them" I said

"Okay..." Ruby said and she looked at the cat "I'm sorry for scaring you Mr. Cat" Ruby apologized and the cat licked her nose

"Looks like it's his way of accepting your apology" I said "Ruby, can you please pick up your plushies and take back to the room?" Ruby nodded and started picking up her plushies. As she leaves the bridge, the cat jumps out from my arms and started following Ruby back to the room, and I turned my attention to Wu

"So, where are we at with the four Fangblades?" Wu asked

"Oh, Pythor's managed to take the first two, but there's still two left" Jay said

"And we only need one in order to prevent him from unleashing the Great Devourer" Cole said

"Any luck finding their whereabouts?" Wu asked

"No, but the falcon is programmed to alert us if he sees any suspicious activity" Zane said

"Good. If we find the Fangblade, we find Lloyd" Wu said and he turned to look at Nya and Kai "Kai and Nya, prepare the deck and double check the anchor. We need to be ready when we first get word of activity"

"Yes, sensei" Both Nya and Kai said in unison as they both started leaving the bridge, but Kai looked at Garmadon

"I have my eye on you" Kai said as he looked at Garmadon as walks, but he ended up crashing into the doorway

After Kai left, we heard Pigsy, Tang and Sandy enter the bridge

"Good morning, everyone" Tang said and his eyes went wide when he saw Garmadon "Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh! Who is that?!" Tang jumped into Pigsy's arms as he pulled out his wooden spoon

"Who's screaming this early?!" Red Son asked as his hair flared up from anger

"*Yawn* Seriously. And I haven't had my coffee yet" DBK said as he entered the bridge with Princess Iron Fan

"How many guests from the other world are here? I'm even surprised to see demons here" Garmadon said

"This is everyone" I answered and Red Son walked towards me

"Good morning, my dear~" Red Son said and I took a step back

"Good morning" I said

"Who wants breakfast? We can't start the day without eating breakfast" Pigsy said as he left the bridge and headed to the kitchen to make breakfast

"And I'll make some tea. Mo, I need assistance" Sandy said

"Meow!" Mo meowed

No One P.O.V

For the next couple days, Garmadon has been living with the gang, and let's just say... they each had their own ups and downs with Garmadon. For example, Garmadon uses a dagger to sharpen his teeth, around dinner time, Garmadon requested a unique dish which looked like weird looking grubs and saying they're low on fat. While DBK and Princess Iron Fan including Nya and Jay were watching a romantic movie, it was later changed to something violent by Garmadon. The Bounty was flying through the a lightning storm and Garmadon was sunbathing during the storm. At night, Garmadon kept the ninja including MK and his friends awake as he played with electricity with his hands which made everyone very annoyed

In the morning, Garmadon was playing video games, but he wasn't playing the game right

"He's not even playing the game right! He's just shooting and destroying things!" Kai said

"I've noticed when he isn't focused on trying to turn Ninjago into his own image, he's actually quite fascinating" Zane said

"Sure, the four arms are freakish, but all in all, he doesn't seem that bad of a guy" Cole said

"He's right. Mr. Garmadon has been giving a lot of interesting facts about the monsters in this world that's really note worthy" Tang said as he took out his 10th diary after filling out the other 9 diaries he owned

"He even helps me take photos at certain places that I can't go or see" Mei said as she looks through her photos

"He might be pulling the wool over all your eyes, but not mine. He's up to something. And I'm gonna be ready for it" Kai said

"Or you're just completely paranoid" MK said with a sweatdrop as Ruby climbed on his head

Akira was on the deck training, while Wukong was training MK. While training, Ruby tugged on Akira's skirt

"What's the matter?" Akira asked

"There's a picture on the screen" Ruby said as she pointed at the computer screen in the bridge. When Akira took a look, she was surprised to see both the Serpentine and Lloyd "The Serpentine and Lloyd! But I thought Kai was supposed to here... Looks like I need to let Jay or Zane know about this" Akira said as she left the bridge to find them. As she was walking down the hallway, she saw both Jay and Zane "Found you guys!"

"Akira? What's up?" Jay asked

"What's up is that the falcon found both the Serpentine and Lloyd" Akira said

"Seriously?! But wasn't Kai supposed to keep an eye out?" Jay asked

"When I went to the bridge, I didn't see him" Akira said

"Where did Kai go?" Zane asked

"I have no idea, but he's definitely getting an earful about leaving his post" Akira said looking angry

After alerting everyone, Cole was setting up the coordinates towards where the Serpentine are. Then a few minutes later, everyone came in and Kai was rubbing his ear

"Looks like Pythor is at the Temple of Fire" Nya said

"That means the Fangblade is there" Kai said

"And Lloyd" Garmadon said

"That's the same Fire Temple where Kai and Lord Garmadon first faced off" Jay said

"Really? Cool!" Mei said

"If my memory serves me correct, I'd say one of us cheated back when we last fought" Kai said as he glares at Garmadon

"And I remember someone needing their sensei to save them" Garmadon said as he glares back, but they both earned a medium punch to the head by none other Akira

"Will you both knock it off! For the sake of the Fangblade and Lloyd, can we get along or do you want to become a practice dummy when I train?" Akira threatened and they both went silent

"My darling is amazing~" Red Son said as hearts started floating above his head "I can't wait for our wedding"

"For the last time, she's not marrying you!" MK said looking angry

"The same threat goes for you guys too" Akira said as she looks at Red Son and MK

"Since the last time we've been there, it looks like the volcano has grown unstable" Nya said

"In other words, it could blow up at any minute if we're not too careful. And based how it looks... this looks highly combustible environment" Red Son said as he looks at the volcano "It's a shame, it would've been a great place to live with my family"

"Maybe when it's no longer on the edge of erupting" DBK said and Princess Iron Fan nodded in agreement

"Oh great. Just what I like. Fighting armed and deadly snakes in a highly combustible environment about to blow up!" Jay shouted

"Have you really?" Tang asked as he pulled out his diary to write down any information and Jay sweatdrop

"We will do what we must" Wu said

"Yes, sensei. But where are our weapons?" Zane asked

"And why is Lord Garmadon not here?" Then Kai ran out of the bridge

"Kai!" Wu called out to him, but Kai ignored him and continued running

Kai reached the room where the Golden weapons are stored and saw Garmadon holding each of the weapons in his four hands

"I knew I couldn't trust you! You thief!" Kai shouted

"Ah. Foolish child. I look forward to teaching you a lesson" Garmadon said

"This ends now!" Kai said

"Indeed!" Then they both started fighting each other

The others came towards the door and heard a commotion going on in there

"Kai? Are you in there?" Nya asked as she tries to open the door, but it didn't budge since its locked "What are you doing?!"

"Discovering my true potential!" Kai said

Unh! The door won't budge!" Jay said as he tried to open the door

"Why is Kai even fighting Garmadon for?" MK asked

"Kai thinks he'll unlock his power if he stands up to Lord Garmadon!" Nya said

"Why would he think that?" Zane asked

"Simple. He still believes that he's the Green Ninja" Akira said as she walked towards the door. She placed her hand on the door handle and pulled the door out from the hinges. When they entered, they saw Garmadon on the floor

"I defeated him! I did it! Are my eyes glowing? Did I unlock my powers? Is this my true potential? Argh! Why isn't it working?!" Kai asked and everyone looked at him with a disappointed look 

"Idiot, you can't defeat someone if they allow themselves to be defeated" Akira said as she shoves Kai to the side and helped Garmadon up

"I wasn't going to hurt you, boy. I was only fetching your weapons" Garmadon said

"But you were trying to steal them!" Kai accused

"I asked him to get them. Perhaps it is best you do not reach your true potential or else someone could get hurt" Wu said

"Way to go, hero" Cole said sarcastically

"Even I wouldn't do something like that" Wukong said

Then everyone heard a thud

"Sounds like we've finally reached our destination" Cole said and everyone ran outside on the deck. In front of them was a temple and a volcano "The Fire Temple"

"Hm... With some work, I think this place will be quite livable" Red Son said

"Seriously, dude?" MK sweatdrop

Pigsy, Tang, Sandy, DBK and Princess Iron Fan stayed on the Bounty with Nya, while Wu, the ninjas and the Monkie gang started heading towards the temple

"The volcano seems to be on the verge of eruption, guys. All recent indicators tell me that this place is becoming increasingly fragile. Even the smallest rupture can make the whole thing go off" Nya said through the intercom of the falcon

"Then we must not use our weapons" Wu said and the three ninja put their Golden weapons away, while Kai had his out still

"Kai" Nya said in a warning tone while Akira was glaring at him, and Kai let out a breath

"Yeah, yeah. No Fire Sword" Kai said as he put his sword away "But only because I wouldn't want anything to prevent us from getting that Fangblade"

"Or my son" Garmadon said

"There. The Serpentine must be inside the inner core. From here on out, we travel by shadows" Wu said

"It's the only way I know how" Garmadon said

"And Macaque's" Wukong said under his breath

'Macaque? Who's that? A friend of his?' Akira thought to herself

As the group journeyed to the volcano's core, there they saw the Serpentine digging and in the corner of Akira's eye, she saw Lloyd in the cage

"Guys, over there" Akira pointed

"*Gasp!* Son!" Garmadon whispered shouted when he saw his son

As the Serpentine continued to dig, one of them hit something that sounded metallic

"Argh! Out of the way fool!" Pythor shouted as he shoves the Serpentine to the side and he pulled the third Fangblade "The third Fangblade is ours!" And the Serpentine started to cheer as Pythor lifted up the Fangblade. As the ninja, Wu, Garmadon and the Monkie gang sneaked closer, Pythor noticed them through the reflection of the Fangblade "Ninja? Attack!" Pythor ordered and the Serpentine started attacking them

"Light as a leaf! Attack like there is no tomorrow!" Wu said as they started to fight back against the Serpentine

"Wind!" Jay shouted and sent out a gale through the volcanic bursts and attacked the Serpentine

"Wind? I thought he was lightning?" MK said

"Can ninja even change their elemental power?" Mei asked

"How about less talking and more fighting!" Red Son shouted as he sent fire towards the upcoming Serpentine

Kai was surrounded by the Serpentine, he pulled out his Golden weapon and the lava started glowing

"You idiot! Your weapon is compromising our safety!" Akira shouted as she kicked one of the Serpentine away from her

"I will do what I must" Kai said to himself as he fought against the Serpentine, but as he fought, the lava's level started to slowly raise

"Let's get out of here! But not before we leave them with a parting gift. Boys" Pythor signaled the Constrictai and they dug through the ground, once they got out, more lava came out

"They're making the volcano unstable!" Zane said

"Any minute this place is gonna blow! We have to get out of here!" Jay said

"Not without my son!" Garmadon said

"Dad!" Lloyd called out to his dad

Without a second thought, Garmadon jumped over the lava, and fought against the Serpentine that blocks his path. That made Pythor grow annoyed

"Lose the boy!" Pythor ordered and the Serpentine carrying the cage dropped him by the rocks as the lava continued to raise

"Dad!"

"Lloyd!"

Garmadon fights his way through the Serpentine, but he started to fear that he won't make it to his son on time. Then a shadow flew passed him, there he saw Akira making her way passed through the Serpentine to get to Lloyd. She saw a Serpentine with a spear, she grabbed hold of the spear and tossed the Serpentine over her shoulder. Once she got close to where Lloyd is, she used the spear to lift the cage and she saved Lloyd in time

"Akira!" Lloyd hugged her

"Thank goodness, you're alright. Let's get you back to the others and your dad" Akira said as she picks him up and headed towards the others. Once she got back, Garmadon headed towards her direction

"Son" Garmadon said looking relieved

"Dad!" Lloyd jumped out from Akira's arms and jumped into his dad's arms. Akira looked down and saw Kai jumping down towards the Fangblade that's about fall into the lava

"Leave it, dude! It's not worth your life!" Mei shouted

"Not without the Fangblade!" Kai said as he continued making his way towards the Fangblade

"But what about Kai? Kai!" Lloyd called out his name, but failed noticed the ground beneath him is breaking

"Lloyd!" Garmadon shouted as he tried to catch his son, but sadly misses. The broken part of the ground landed on the lava, but no one knows how long it'll hold

"Dad!" Lloyd cried out, Garmadon was about to save his son, but was held back by the others "Dad! I'm sinking!" Then Akira jumped down to get to Lloyd, once she got to him, she doesn't have any good balance to safely jump back up to the others

"We have to get out of here or else none of us will get out of here" Wu said as they escaped through the only exit left

"But my son!" 

"And Akira!" Red Son and Garmadon were trying to go back to save Lloyd and Akira, but the exit was now blocked

Kai was jumping from rock to rock to get close to the Fangblade, as he got close, he tried to grab it before it slips into the lava

"Kai! Help us!" Lloyd shouted and Kai saw both Lloyd and Akira. He looked at the Fangblade and back towards the duo, and after a minute of thinking, Kai made a decision. He made his way towards Lloyd and Akira

"Come on, let's get out of here" Kai said as he picked up Lloyd

"But the Fangblade..."

"We have to give up on getting it now" Akira said

"Yeah, and this place is falling apart!" Kai said as he tried to think of a way to get out of the volcano

Outside of the volcano

Everyone was running outside as they pushed both Garmadon and Red Son as they both called their names. When they got to the Bounty, the volcano erupted

"Kai..."

"Son..."

"Akira..."

Then suddenly, something came out from the peak of the volcano. Everyone saw Kai, who unlocked his true potential while carrying both Akira and the knocked out Lloyd

"It's Kai! He's found his true potential!" Jay said

Once Kai landed on the Bounty, he placed Akira down and his body no longer glowed, then he passed out from exhaustion

Bridge

Garmadon was holding Lloyd in his arms as he started to wake up

"Dad? Is that really you?" Lloyd asked

"It is, son" Garmadon answered

"Dad? Why do you have four arms?" Lloyd asked

"He's gonna be okay!" Cole said and everyone cheered

"Thank you, Kai and Akira" Garmadon thanked them

"But how did you survive? How did you discover the key to unlocking your powers?" Zane asked

"I knew when I had to make a choice. I wanted the Fangblade so badly, to prove I was good enough to become the Green Ninja. But then I figured it out. All of my training to become the best ninja wasn't in preparation to become the Green Ninja. It was to protect him" Kai said as he looked at Lloyd

Then the ninja looked at Lloyd and they all came to the same conclusion

"What? Why is everybody looking at me for?" Lloyd asked

"That means..." Then the ninja brought out their Golden weapons and placed them near Lloyd as a green glow appeared in front of him

"Woah! That so cool!" Mei said as she took a picture

"Definitely cool" MK agreed

"Lloyd is the Green Ninja. I had thought it would be one of you, but it was him the whole time. It all makes sense. Not only have you four have been chosen to protect the Golden Weapons, but also to protect the chosen one" Wu said as he approached his nephew

"That means..." Garmadon looked sad

"The battle lines have been drawn, brother. Sadly, our family has only become more divided. Brother versus brother and now, son versus father" Wu said

Everyone went silent for a minute until Jay started to chuckle

"This is heavy and all, but what ever happened to the Fangblade?!" Jay asked

"If I have to guess, probably in Pythor's hands by now" Akira said as she looked out the window of the Bounty, unaware that a burgundy colored flame appeared on her hand and disappearing after a quick second. But Red Son was the only one who noticed and must prepare for the worst to come for her
