Okay, so the idea I had was that Hinata dies in the war, but is given a chance to prevent the war from happening, by preventing Madara Uchiha from turning against the village. She'd be about 13 when she meets the two, at their little river spot. It'd probably become a MadaHina fic in the end, but it'd still be interesting to see what would happen if this were to happen. I wrote a small summary about it.

Summary: Neji wasn't fast enough when the Jubi launched it's wooden quills. Hinata protects Naruto with her life, dying before his eyes. Or does she? Once in death, she is given a second chance by the Rikudo Sennin, to change the future, and prevent the war from happening. She's sent back in time, before Konoha was formed, to the Warring States Era. Now born again as the new prodigy heiress of the Hyuuga Clan, Hinata is forced into battle for her clan, soon making them one of the top three contenders in the war: The Hyuuga, the Senju, and the Uchiha. Watch history begin to change its course as the kind, the proud, and the idealistic all converge at one point.
