Alazae
Well today's the day. I pack up all my ish and move to Minnesota
with my sister. I still can't believe I'm leaving Atlanta, I love this place I grew up here. I might not have had a family at home but the streets were my family. I knew everyone on my block.

Taking a final glance at my room I said my final goodbyes to my home. It wasn't big but it was cozy and it was enough for me and Zari.

I didn't really have anyone to say a proper goodbye to many people seeing as how the teenagers on my block were mainly boys who only wanted me to let them hit and the girls were thirsty hoes with no life. All them bitches were just associates so I wouldn't go crazy. All in all some of them took care of me.

There was one person I had to say goodbye to that was Momma T she was the most adored woman on the block. She was well known for owning salon in the area, giving good advice, her amazing cooking and she was just always there for you. She was a mother to everyone. That's why it pained us all when she passed away. It was so unexpected. She died of heart failure. I still remember the last time we spoke, the day she died.

Flashback
"Come on Zae hurry up", Zari said as she rushed me. She was so eager to go to the park that was literally down the street. "Alright chill dang Im ready" I replied my impatient sister. C'mon Zari tie your shoelaces so we can leave. She did as she was told and we walked out the door

As soon as we stepped out the hot Atlanta sun hit my skin. I really should have grabbed a bottle of water or something. I was wearing light wash blue denim overalls and a white crop top that said Bad on it, with my white converse hightops. Zari was wearing some light blue shorts and a white tee shirt with her Jordan oreos.

We were almost at the park but we decided to stop by and greet Momma T like we normally do every Saturday morning, when we walked in the cool breeze of the AC hit us hard. As we walked through her salon we saw her sitting on one of the red lounge chairs in her salon.
"Are those my two baby girls" she exclaimed as she saw us "momma T" Zari screamed as she saw her. They always had a special bond. We sat down for about ten minutes before we decided to leave "bye momma love you " Zari said as she stood up " bye momma love you to the moon and back" I said as I stood up " bye babies love you too and see you soon" she said as she kissed our cheeks and walked us to the door. Then she said see you when It's your time. As we walked to the park I thought about what she meant by that, little did I know that would be the last time we ever spoke.

4 hours later

I sat at home watching the local news when a familiar face appeared on the screen. I couldn't believe what I was seeing it was momma t. She was dead. I was lost for words I called up my neighbors and they all said it was true. Why was this happening to such a good person. I was hurt that night I cried myself to sleep and I knew I had to be strong for Zari and for momma t she wouldn't want to see me like this.
Flashback over

I grabbed my bags and Zari's bags and took them to the car. I called Zari from inside and we walked down to the cemetery a couple blocks from the house. "Is it time to say goodbye to her" she asked me with tear filled eyes I slight nodded.

When we reached her grave we both knelt down in front of the stone held hands and read what was printed on it as requested by Momma T herself in her will. " think of me as living in the hearts of those I touched. For nothing loved is ever lost & I have loved so much and so many. For I shall Rest In Peace and watch over you in heaven" we talked to her like we normally do every month, except this time we won't be back we said our goodbyes prayed and left

1 hour later

You'd expect me to be upset that my sperm doner didn't say goodbye to us but nah he's let us down more than enough times for us to even be happy he never came. Our flight is boarding now and me and Zari are so tired but during plane ride we'll be able to sleep.

Me and Zari finally boarded the plane and were settled in. Zari took the window seat. She seemed to be fascinated by it since she had a sparkle in her eye. I love Zari. As soon as the flight took of we said our prayers and then Zari was knocked out. Good bye Atlanta hello Minnesota. I wonder what Minnesota has in store for us.
