She was putting some ointment when Caleb barge in without knocking. Hindi na siya nagreklamo dahil unit din naman nito ang tinitirhan niya.

The last time she noticed and tried to asked him what kind of book he was reading, he gave him a cold shoulder. Tho, ganoon naman talaga ang trato nito sa kanya.

"Why? May party ba?" She asked and continue putting ointment on her bruise legs.

Nang matapos siya agad niyang itinabi ang ointment sa side table.

"None. You know how chaotic my Father's family, hindi ko alam kung paano natitiis ni mama na pakisamahan ang mga 'yon." Anito na nakasimangot.

Caleb was not fond of his father side. Simula noon, at hanggang ngayon din pala. Avis thought that one was going to change. Sa edad nilang 'yon, kung tutuusin wala na dapat ang mga ito sa bahay na tinitirhan nina Caleb. That house was built for them. Not for his father's family.

Ang alam niya ay may sariling bahay ang mga ito, pero mas gusto nilang sumiksik sa poder nina Caleb. Well, it's more convenient to them to live with Caleb and Caliber's father. Walang bills na babayaran and hindi na nila problema ang pagkain para sa araw araw. The only problem with them is that, masyado ng mga itong pinakikialaman ang buhay ng may buhay.

And because she was curious and Caleb was busy. Ginulo niya ang kapatid nito, they knew each others number and telegram dahil tinatawagan siya nito kapag may kailangan sa kanya. User talaga ang magkapatid na Carson! Hmp!

Avis: What happened to Caleb?

Caliber: Don't know. Ask him. Busy ako, bebe time.

Napasimangot si Avis sa sagot nito. Kailangan ba talaga nitong sabihin na may bebe time ito?

Avis: He's not talking! Hindi naman kita guguluhin kung kumanta na ang kapatid mo diba? So? What happened? I'm sure you know something.

She was biting her finger nails while waiting for Caliber's reply. Sumandal siya sa head board at kumuha ng unan para ipatong sa binti niya. Avis was too focused on her phone while waiting for Caliber to reply that she didn't noticed Caleb was already in his side, looking, reading the conversation of her and his brother.

Caliber: Look around you and be ready. Baka may leon na lalapa sa 'yo. Better ask my baby lion and prepare to sing a song for him. I'm busy, I have no time to entertain you. Ang oras ko ay para sa future wife ko, at hindi para sa ex ng kapatid ko 😏

"Aba'y napaka tarantado ta—" Napatigil siya nang makita si Caleb sa tabi niya. He was still holding his book, pero naka sara na 'yon. His attention was now solely for her.

"You can just ask me," walang emosyon na sabi nito sa kanya. He rolled his eyes and open his book again to read.

Ay wow. You can just ask me daw pero nagbasa ulit?

"Never mind." She whispered. Tamad niyang ibinagsak ang katawan sa kama at ginawang pantakip ng mukha ang unan na nasa binti niya kanina.

"My mother bought a new luxury bag and jewelries for you and for Kuya's girlfriend. Hindi nagustuhan ng mga kapatid ni Papa, they're talking like it was their money." Her mouth formed into an 'O' when she heard him talk.

"May sariling pera naman si Tita ah?" That's what she knows. Avis know from the start that Rayleigh won't use the money of his husband, Kaleb.

"It's actually my money and Kuya Caliber's." Naiiling na sagot nito. "Siya lang ang bumili, pero credit card namin ang ginamit niya."

"That's..."

"Yep," he looked at her dead serious. "Ganoon ka talino ang mama namin." It wasn't sarcastic. Avis thinks that Caleb just complimented his mother for outsmarting them.

"Dahil lang doon?" Ang babaw naman...

Caleb sighed and closed his book, and placed it on the side table. Same with his glasses. "May iba pa. But that's too much information for you. Now, do something to make me sleep." Nangunot ang noo ni Avis dahil sa pagiging bossy bigla nito.

Bahagya siyang dumukwang at may kinuhang bote sa loob ng cabinet ng side table, it was a freaking sleeping pills. Pinakuha niya 'yon kay Klane. Ang secretary ni Caleb. She was dead tired and her body couldn't keep up!

Kumuha siya ng isang piraso at inipit 'yon sa labi ni Caleb. "Here, swallow that pills and you will sleep within a few minutes. Easy peasy, parehas tayong makakapag pahinga." Avis smiled sweetly and Caleb grimaced.

FOR the first time in History. Caleb came to Lust community looking a decent human being and not a walking zombie. His friends was shocked seeing him with his casual clothes.

"Naghihimala ba?" Light asked when he saw their other friends surrounding him. "Oh, it's just Caleb and he looks good today, hindi ka mukhang panda, he smell fine and that... Buddy, is a miracle indeed!"

Inirapan niya ang kaibigan.

"At dahil nandito ka! Caleb, hindi ka makakatakas sa amin ngayon. Huwag mo naman kaming i-ghost, let's party people!" Castiel yelled and even dance like a worm.

Tinabig niya ang kamay nito na naka-akbay sa kanya at tumango. He needed to clear his mind.

"Sure. I think I need a drink." He said.

Sumipol ang ibang mga kaibigan niya, ang ibang kaibigan niya na may asawa na. Nagpaalam muna. A consent from their wife is a must. Ang ibang single pa katulad niya nagtulungan na para iset up ang bar ni Alistair.

Caleb thought that Alistair mini bar was run out of liqours since his friend was not bugging him for money to replace the liquor. Bakit ba niya nakalimutan na may talent na magnanakaw ang ibang kaibigan niya?

"Good thing, the new manager know me. Sinabi ko lang na nagpapakuha si Alistair ng iba't ibang klase ng alak, pinapasok na kami sa stock room. Perks of being handsome!" Narinig niyang pagmamalaki ni Laur.

"Kaya pala walang kinikita ang bar ko." Sarkastikong sagot ni Alistair at binato ang hawak nitong kutsara kay Laur.

Laur just laughed and pointed Castiel. "Siya rin naman ah! At least ako alam ng manager mo na ikaw ang nagpapakuha, e siya? Bud! Castiel was always there, ginawang karinderya ang bar mo!" natatawang sumbong nito.

Caleb shake his head. His friends were a bunch of weirdos.

"What? The sisig was good! I can't get enough." Castiel shrugged and continue washing and drying the shot glasses.

"Sa sobrang sarap naghingi ka na din ng kanin?" Mikael asked sarcastically.

"Nakakahiya ka." Killian commented.

He was just silently watching them. They're all ganging up on Castiel and Castiel was defending himself with his nonsense words. While Jyrelle and Kyst sat beside him. Pinapagitnaan siya.

"What?" He asked.

"Heard your ex girlfriend is back for good." Kyst said while playing with the baby bottle he's holding.

Sa kanilang magkakaibigan, Jyrelle and Kyst was the only one who knew what happened between him and Avis. Words accidentally slipped in his mouth.

"Well, did you find it? Again?" Jyrelle asked.

"I... don't know. It's complicated." Nakakunot ang noo na sagot niya.

"Why? Bud, don't use 'It's complicated' to us. Alam mo sa sarili mo na nakita mo na ang hinahanap mo, you're just too afraid to get dump again. Stop being toxic will you?" Naaasar na sabi sa kanya ni Kyst.

"How?" He hopelessly asked.

Tinapik ni Jyrelle ang balikat nito at ngumiti lang sa kanya. As if his smile was the answer to his question.

"By the way, may model na lumapit sa akin noong isang araw. She's asking things about you, hindi ka na daw niya kasi nakikita and... news have wings." Kyst playfully smirked at him.

Caleb sighed. "What? Don't tell me alam din nila na isang babae nalang ang inuuwian ko ngayon?" Sarkastikong tanong niya at tumatawang tumango sa kanya si Kyst.

"Hindi nila alam na—" Caleb looked at Jyrelle, his friend chuckled and raised his hands on the air.

"Yow! You're the center of attraction tonight. Caleb Carson! Please lead the prayer, kakain muna daw tayo bago magpakalasing!" Castiel voice echoed inside Alistair mini bar. Na i-set na pala ang videoke.

"Why don't you lead the prayer moron?" He hissed.

"Do you want me to get burn and turn into ashes?" Castiel asked and rolled his eyes. "Kalvin Demon! Come here, you lead the prayer. Baka sakaling maging Kalvin Angel ang pangalan mo."

Kade sarcastically laugh and smack Castiel's head. "Nakakatawa 'yon?"

Kade grab the microphone and surprisingly, he knows how to pray. Whoever influence Kade, he must thank him or her. At least, may isa sa kanilang magkakaibigan ang nagiging matino.

He was silent the whole night even though his friends was kept on asking him about a certain woman, forcing her to talk or else Ryker will interfere.

"As if magagawa niyong panakot si Ryker! E hindi na FBI 'yan!" Killian said, tsaka lang nito na realized na malakas na ang pagkakasabi nito nang may tumamang lata sa ulo nito.

They started the nonsense argument. Habang silang dalawa ni Yves ay tahimik na umiinom sa gilid, pinapanood ang mga kaibigan nilang maghabulan at magbatuhan ng chichirya na pulutan dapat nila.

A smile crept into his lips. At least, somehow, his mind refreshed. Thanks to the idiots who entertained him tonight.

"Next time you'll order a food, text me her favorite. I'll cook it for her." Bumaling siya kay Yves.

"Why?" He curiously asked. Feeling a little jealousy towards his friends.

Yves chuckled and tapped his shoulder. "Don't look at me like that. She will be part of our family here, soon. It's natural for me to care for you and your woman."

Naiiling na natawa si Caleb. His toxic. He knew that from the start. He will never be that better man whom a woman deserves.
