The man who flick her forehead scoffed and sarcastically looked at her. Masama niya itong tinignan. Caliber Carson was standing in front of her, looking like a walking dead.

"Nag drugs ka ba?" Tanong niya rito.

Caliber forehead crease. "What kind of question is that? Do I looked like one?" Sarkastikong tanong nito pabalik.

Her side lips rosed up and nod her head. "Sa totoo lang. Ang pula ng mga mata mo, mukha kang sabog, kamukha mo 'yung mga nahuhuling drug user sa TV." Pang-aasar niya rito.

Caliber shake his head and pulled the chair so he can sit. "Hindi ka ba nakita kahapon ni Caleb?"

She sighed. "Nagkita, and talk a little."

"Nasabi ba niya sayo na pinapapunta kita sa opisina ko?" He asked again and she nodded her head. "Sinabi naman pala bakit hindi ka pumunta?" Masungit na tanong na naman nito sa kanya.

Avis pouted her lips as she remembered her conversation with her beloved ex boyfriend. She can feel her heart shattering into pieces again, alam naman niya na magbabago ito sa loob ng ilang taon siyang wala.

"He said something and... it hurts, so, umuwi nalang ako at nagpahinga." Umiwas siya ng tingin sa lalaking nasa harapan niya.

Caliber made a face before leaning his elbow against the table and used his hand to support his head. "Deserve mo."

Avis eyes widened and quickly looked at him. "May galit ka talaga sa akin! Mag e-explain ako ha?"

"No need. I don't need your explanation. At hindi ako galit sayo."

"Pero noong first day ko dito palagi mo akong tinitignan ng masama, nilalagpasan, you even talk shit about me if we're going to have a small talk!" Reklamo niya habang pinupukpok ang ballpen sa lamesa. Mabuti nalang at kaunti lang ang mga pasyente niya ngayong araw.

"Who wouldn't? And let me correct you, I'm not mad. I'm pissed. You left my brother without explanation, you broke him, for me you are the reason why he changed. You never knew how devastated he was when he saw that fucking post it note of yours. Wala kang alam because you are enjoying your life in France."

Avis was fighting back her tears. She had a great life while studying abroad, but she's still carrying the guilt of not having a proper break up with Caleb that time. She was crying every night and everytime she remembered him.

"Nope. Anyway, I might pull you again if I need an Ob inside the O.R. Alam ko naman na competent lahat ng Doctor sa Hospital namin but I like you better than Doc. Baylon." Caliber grimaced when he say the Doctor's surname.

Umiling nalang si Avis sa lalaki. "Sure, you can pull me as long as I'm not busy. Here, call me if I'm not around."

Ibinigay niya rito ang calling card na agad naman tinanggap ni Caliber. Wala siyang pasyente na naka schedule bukas para sa mga nagpapa check up. She's planning to spend her day to stay inside their house and wait for calls kung may manganganak man sa mga pasyente niya.

"Au revoir, Avis." Caliber playfully said. Avis rolled her eyes.

She smiled innocently. "Au revoir! Faites attention, vous pourriez trébucher et dire doucement à votre frère que je l'aime." Bye! Be careful, you might trip over and gently tell your brother that I love him.

Caliber smirked smugly to her. "I can speak and understand that language, you know. And my brother will probably say, je ne ressens pas la même chose." Mas lalong lumawak ang ngisi ni Caliber nang makitang nanlaki ang mga mata niya.

"Mapanakit ka! Lumayas ka dito! Madapa ka sana!" She yelled and crossed her arms.

Avis pouted her lips when Caliber left. He's right tho. Caleb will surely reply 'I don't feel the same' to her 'I love you'.

"CALEB, you should rest! Huwag mong masyadong pagurin ang sarili mo, anak! Kung kailangan mo ng tulong nandito naman kami, kaya pa naman magtrabaho ng Papa mo!" His mother ranted.

She's been forcing him to at least get some sleep and a nice rest for a day, hindi na din niya mabilang kung ilang beses niya nang nasabi na ayos lang siya at hindi niya kailangan ng pahinga. His body was used to this routine. If he wanted to sleep then he'll drink a sleeping pill.

"Ma, ayos lang ako. Why don't you bother kuya instead? He looks like a dead man too." Caleb answered, his eyes was still glued to the book he's holding.

"Bakit ba kasi dalawang lalaki ang naging anak ko? Ang titigas ng ulo!" He heard her mother mumbled. He even heard her asking God to guide him and his brother.

"Ma? By any chance..." Isinara niya ang libro at tumingin sa Mama niya na nagdadasal pa rin. "Did you approved Avery Scarlett Lane's application?"

Tumigil sa pagdadasal ang mama niya at tumingin sa kanya na parang wala itong kinalaman sa mundo. His mother, who's mumbling a prayer a while ago was now mumbling how cruel her son is. Tumaas ang kilay ni Caleb sa mama niya.

"Ma?" He called her in a cold voice.

"Hoy, Caleb! 'Wag na 'wag mong gagamitin sa akin ang boses mo na 'yan! Nanay mo pa rin ako," sermon agad nito. He leaned his back against his swivel chair and crossed his arms above his chest. "And did I heard it right? Avery Scarlett? Avis? She's here?! Bakit hindi mo agad sinabi sa akin?! Oh gosh, I need to go and find her. I miss that young lady!" His mother giggled while cupping her face.

Caleb sighed as he watched his mother acting like a teenager, and like Avery was her long lost daughter, he hates the fact that even that woman left her, malakas pa rin ang kapit nito sa mama niya.

Her mother didn't knew at first that they broke up. Wrong. Avery left with a post it note. Ending the relationship should be decided by the both parties who's involved. Kaya nang mag-umpisa na siyang maghanap ng babae na malilibang siya, sa kanya nagalit ang mama niya. His mother even accused him cheater. Nice.

"Rest okay? I'll go find Avis!" Her mother said and left his office.

He massage his temple and pressed his palm against the table. He suddenly felt dizzy. He squeezed his eyes shut and stay rooted in his place for a while, at 'yon ang nadatnan ni Killian na bigla nalang sumulpot.

"You okay bud?" Agad na tanong nito at dinaluhan siya.

Killian helped him to walk towards the hospital bed inside his office, pinalagay 'yon ng mama niya kanina sa secretary niya para makapag pahinga siya. Looks like he's going to use it.

"What are you doing here?" Caleb asked in a sultry voice.

"Check up ni misis, good thing Frances suggested Dra.Lane. Didn't know you have an Ob friend?" Killian looked at him with curiosity.

He scoffed as he laid his back on the soft mattress. "Friend my ass. She's not my friend."

"Fuck buddy?" Tanong ulit ni Killian.

"May asawa ka pang aasikasuhin diba? Bumalik ka na don! Don't be a nosy fucker." Singhal niya sa kaibigan at tinalikuran ito. He was ready to sleep without the help of sleeping pills when he heard Killian's chuckled.

"Makakaasa kang ikaw ang topic mamaya sa Lust Community, 'wag ka sanang madapa o mabulunan habang nagta-trabaho ka!" Killian said between his chuckled and tapped his shoulder.

He sighed and closed his eyes. An image of Avery, looking at his crotch and asking him personal things flashed through his head. Just the thought of her face made his body stiffened and his buddy down there slowly going commando. Padapa siyang humiga sa kama at pinilit ang sarili na makatulog!
