" Dali! I'm Hungry!" I whined waiting to see the friendly tip of Dali's tail. I heard the clicking of Dali's claws on the cave as she entered. Dali slumped around the corner and smiled when she saw me sitting there. " I'm sure Fentre will be home soon with food!" she smiled and brushed her tail against my cheek. I giggled and pulled at her tail gently.  Dali stroked my head with her free paw smiling. I dropped her tail and waddled over to a small pond of water we had in the corner. i bent over and began licking intently. I heard small shifts in the snow and i jerked my head up. I yipped happily " Da, Da, Da!" I ran up the small slope and waited at the entrance and saw Fentre coming towards the cave. Fentre was soon at the entrance carrying a grey floppy thing. I raced down the entrance and accidentally  crashed into the back of our cave. Dali was looking at Fentre confused then stood up and went to talk to him. I was busying dusting myself off when Dali came back looking furious and worried at the same time. She said roughly " Luke come and get your dinner." I tilted my head and ran over to where Fentre was with the grey floppy thing. Dali soon came looking more worried then furious. She gently clawed off a bit off meat for me and I busily ate it my ear pricked up. Fentre asked me " do you know what this is?" Dali widened her eyes when he said this. I told Fentre " i don't know Grey floppy thing?" i was to busy eating my share of the meal to care what it was. Dali slowly said " this is a wolf." I shrugged and said " So why should I care i'm just a coyote! Dali smiled at this and said " we need to go to the winter den Luke." I whined " But it's small there and cold unlike our normal den!" Dali ate a bit of the wolf and soon after we ate it all came over to me. " you need to get your rest tomorrow will be a long journey!" I scrambled over to my warm den made from all sorts of furs from different animals. I snuggled down into it. I heard Dali and Fentre argue a bit before they came to rest as well.
