The Fifth Hokage! A Life on the Line!
"RASENGAN!" He stuck Kabuto. The wind picked up and I stared in awe at the sheer force that flung Kabuto back, smashing him right into a boulder. A path of destruction in his trail.
No way. That was incredible.
Kabuto was in a crater formed in the boulder, trembling greatly. Naruto mastered it . . . in one week.
Naruto coughed up blood, and Kabuto leaned against the boulder, panting. What the? He should be down! That was incredible power! An A-Rank Jutsu. Yet he's standing. Why
Naruto fell back onto the ground. "Naruto!" I screamed. Tsunade ran to his aid. Naruto. He's . . . "How can you be standing after that?" Tsunade asked. Kabuto smirked, still panting. "I focused my chakra at the point of impact. Before he even hit me I started healing myself. You see now why Lord Orochimaru values me so highly. Not only for my skills and knowledge of jutsu, but most of all for my recuperative powers."
No. It can't be. "No matter how great the injury, I can repair and reenergize any damaged cells."
I watched him closely. That's impressive, but Kabuto isn't as strong as a Sanin. There must be a limit that is approaching. His chakra levels is low.
"Naruto on the other hand doesn't have that gift. He looks finished." He took a step before tensing, coughing up blood and collapsing. I smirked. Despite your ability, Naruto's Rasengan was far more powerful then your healing speed.
Tsunade placed her ear on his chest. "Ah! His heart is failing." What? I stood and ran towards them. "NARUTO!" I screamed sitting next to him as Tsunade tore his shirt open and started healing.
Tears streamed down my face. "He-he's not going to die right? He's not right?!" I frantically asked her. She bit her lip and didn't look at me.
It felt like someone knocked the wind out of me. No. This can't be happening. "You're wasting your time. It's all over for him. With my last strength, I severed his hearts chakra network. I cut him off from getting any help from the demon." Kabuto spoke.
I Flash Stepped next to him and slammed my chakra empowered foot on his back, making him cough up more blood. "You better hope that Naruto wakes up before I finish you off. If my brother dies, I'll slowly tear you to shreds." I threatened darkly.
Kabuto shivered in slight fear at my threat. I stomped on his arm, shattering his bones. He screamed in agony and I stomped on the other and his right leg. His screams blocked out Tsunade's crying.
Naruto's not going to die. He can't. This isn't real. He's fine. He just needs to get a good nights rest. He's fine!
"Steel Storm!" I watched in horror as a sea of weapons headed for Tsunade and my brother. "NOOO!" I flash Stepped next to them. Chains exiting my back and creating a barrier.
Haruto landed in front of Kabuto. "You're as useless as ever." He said to his comrade.
I glared murderously at them before turning to them. Naruto lay there, Tsunade hovering over him, crying.
No. I grabbed his right hand, tears overflowing my eyes. "No! Please! Don't die! Please don't leave me! Naruto! Don't die!" I cried out. Panic welled within me at the thought of losing my brother. It happened so quickly, it's almost unreal.
How could I lose him? How could I have been so weak to do nothing but watch?! "PLEASE! NARUTO! Don't leave me alone. Don't die! I-I can't-without you, please! Don't leave me! NO!"
I closed my eyes and began sobbing uncontrollably. Naruto! Please don't die! If there is a god, please don't take my brother away from me! Take me! You can have my heart, my life, just don't take Naruto!
I continued sobbing. No, Naruto. Suddenly a warm hand caressed my cheek. Opening my eyes, I looked through my tears to see Naruto smiling at me.
"It's alright. I'm not dying before I become Hokage. And I'm definitely not going to leave you alone. Never." My bottom lip quivered as I continued to cry. I gave a sharp nod. "Yeah." I cried.
He chuckled before touching Tsunade's necklace. "Don't forget our bet. Told ya I'd win."
"What the hell Kabuto?! Why's the brat still alive?!" Haruto shouted at the broken ninja. Kabuto was looking at my brother in disbelief, as he closed his eyes. But his chest still moved.
Tsunade smiled at him. "To become Hokage. That is still your dream Naruto? One more time. Just one more time. For the last time. I want those words to be true." She lifted his head and placed the necklace she was wearing around him.
I smiled at my brother. Thank god.
As soon I was sure of his survival, I turned to Haruto and Kabuto, a murderous glare on my face.
"Kabuto." I seethed. He flinched at my tone and I stood. However Haruto unsheathed his twin blades. "Not so fast. You and I have a score to settle."
I put down my shield and channeled more chakra then I normally use in my hands. My aim isn't to simply beat them. It's to kill. For trying to murder Naruto, I will stain the earth with their blood. Both Kabuto and Haruto.
I'll kill them.
I lunged at them. "HAA!" Haruto grabbed Kabuto and jumped away as I wasily destroyed the area. However it was more damage then I usually do. Not batting an eye, I followed after. Haruto abandoned Kabuto and went for me head on, channeling his own chakra into the blades.
We clashed and flung each other farther away. The sounds of crashing drew my attention to Orochimaru, who had slammed Jiraiya to the ground and headed for Naruto.
I was about to head to them when Haruto appeared in front of me. Shit! I shouldn't have looked away!
I tried moving out of the way, but his sword still pierced my side. Coughing up blood, I punched him away and quickly grabbed my side, trying to stop the bleeding.
Stealing a glance, I saw that Tsunade had jumped between the two, taking the blow through her chest. "Tsunade." I groaned, trying to forget the pain in my side. Shit. It hurts. I don't know if he missed my vitals or not.
Despite the roaring pain, I Flash Stepped to them, before landing a powerful blow to Orochimaru, sending him back. I collapse to my knees but put my arm out protectively in front of Tsunade and my unconscious brother.
"Don't come any closer!" I shouted. "Miyu, you're injured." Tsunade said, pain in her voice. "I don't care. I'm not going to let that monster touch you or my brother. Even if it kills me!"
I thought of putting up a shield, but if I did I couldn't land anymore powerful strikes. Those chains . . . they take everything out of me.
Orochimaru lunged at me, sword in his mouth and stabbed the same spot Haruto had. "AHG!" I shouted in pain. "MIYUNA!" Tsunade screamed.
I grabbed onto Orochimaru, holding on tightly. "I told you. I won't let you anywhere near Tsunade! Stay away from her!" I grabbed his arms and squeezed. Orochimaru let out a scream of pain as I continued to do more damage.
"Lord Orochimaru!" Haruto ran our way. I flung the slithery bastard at him. Quickly standing, I stood protectively in front of the two.
"Tsunade . . . and Naruto . . . they are going to be very important to the village. And they'll help it out, and bring in a new era. I will not let you get in their way. Even if I die, I will make sure of it!"
Orochimaru stood, chuckling. "And what can you do with what little power you have? Even your brother has learned such an incredible jutsu, yet you couldn't learn it" I know I'm weak. I know.
I can't do much, but if I'm going to die, I'm going out with a bang!
"Haruto."
"Ninja Art: Guillotine!" He roared. I turned to see it directed at Tsunade and Naruto. Turning, I ran.
I'm weak. I'm scared. I'm useless. I can't do anything. But I will not let them die. Shoving the two away, a large amount of chakra made of lightning hit me.
After a second of excruciating pain, everything thing went black.
Am I dead?
Was I able to do at least one useful thing before dying?
Is this god's way of accepting my offer?
Oh well, I don't care. As long as Naruto is safe, that's all that matters.
