Miyuna Uzumaki: Enemy of the Leaf!
Third POV
Shikamaru leaned against the tree, standing on a low branch, waiting patiently. It's been two years since he became Chunin and was entrusted with this mission. He had to make sure he did the best he could and more.
It's not everyday you can get high Intel on the enemies. But it's not as easy as he had thought. He sighed loudly, looking off tiredly.
This is a long mission, and he wanted nothing more then it to be over. But he wasn't going to simply rush it along.
No, that wasn't him, despite his attitude on the subject. "Yo." A voice spoke by him suddenly. "Wha?!" Shikamaru jumped high into the air and turned, falling off the branch and onto the ground.
He groaned loudly and peeled his eyes open to stare at the person.
A girl stood on the branch. Her long blonde hair is full and pulled into pig tails.
She wore orange shorts, and an orange jacket with black sleeves and a thick black line running down the zipper of it. It was unzipped a bit to reveal mesh underneath. She had one hand on her hip and raised an eyebrow at him.
She peered down at him curiously with light blue eyes. "You alright there Nara?"
Shikamaru sighed loudly and sat up, rubbing his head. Now a day's he wore black pants, black long sleeve, and the Chunin Vest.
Although it had only been two years, the two certainly changed in that bit of time. "Why do you feel the need to do that Miyu?" He asked tiredly.
Miyu smirked, amusement clear in her eyes. She hopped down onto the ground next to him and offered a hand.
He gratefully accepted it and she pulled him onto his feet with ease. "Sorry, force of habit." She shrugged nonchalantly, but a small smile remained on her face.
Shikamaru sighed at her statement, but couldn't help the smile that made its way onto his own face as he stared at his friend.
Miyu's POV
Shikamaru and I sat underneath the tree; talking. "Eh? So Sakura and everyone else became Chunin huh? That's great." An image of the pink haired girl popped into my mind.
Shikamaru nodded and the two of us stared up and peered through the leaves to see bits of the sky. "Is Naruto still on his training journey?" I asked the question I've wanted the answer to since last I've met with him.
Shikamaru nodded, glancing at me. "Yeah. He misses you a lot. When he comes back, I could tell him. Why you really left." I sighed, closing my eyes.
Two years ago, I left the Leaf with Sasuke. Leaving my brother behind. I made it look as if I was planning on turning against them. Because of my childhood, the village believed it.
Other then Grandma Tsunade and Shikamaru of course.
The real reason I left was to gather Intel on Orochimaru and the Akatsuki. I became a spy for the Leaf. Orochimaru didn't suspect a thing when I arrived.
He believes my mind is so easily swayed. Four eyes didn't for a while, but thanks to my treatment as a child and my acting skills, it lifted all of the suspicion and I was given free range.
The only ones who knows of this are Grandma Tsunade, Shikamaru, and a few higher up ninja. Shikamaru and I have been meeting frequently so I could tell them of his plans. Where, when, how, and why. And the Leaf has saved many based on my information.
All while believing I betrayed them.
I betrayed them so I could protect them. Protect them from Orochimaru. And so I could protect Naruto from the Akatsuki.
"Kiba's still pretty upset about you breaking his arm and stabbing him. But I don't believe he hates you. He thinks about that day you left. Although he bought your act, he can't bring himself to believe that you faked your kindness to him. Telling the rest of the Rookie Ten shouldn't cause any harm. After all, despite what you did, they still care about you. Naruto and Choji both refuse to believe that you became a traitor."
I closed my eyes briefly before staring intently at the sky. "No. The less they know the better. As long as they consider me an enemy, they're safe."
My mind wandered to the encounters I had with some of the Akatsuki. I had run across Sasori a few times with Haru. He instantly recognized me as the twin of the Jinchuriki of the Nine Tails. However Haru cleared things up with him.
Haru is a spy for the Akatsuki, informing them of Orochimaru's moves. But there's the other motive as well.
He's done so much for me the entire time. He became a spy for me. So I could get some information about them.
It's a little . . . hectic keeping track on both. Orochimaru for Sasuke and the Leaf, Akatsuki for my brother. But I've been doing fine so far. They're not making their move just yet on him.
Shikamaru nodded, understanding my problem. But some emotion flickered in his eyes. "You're acting that day . . . it was really good. Almost as if you felt exactly that." I glanced at him before looking up. "Hm." I murmured, thinking about the harsh words I spoke to Kiba before I left.
They weren't all wrong. I really did feel that way. Even if I love the Leaf, a part of me hates them for all the torment they put me through. It really made an impact on my life. I can never forget the damage they did to me. A part of me still hates them. But I'm not simple enough to let the past consume me.
I need to move forward despite all that has happened. "Some of Orochimaru's men are going to be infiltrating the Leaf in three days. They're planning on stealing some scrolls from the Hokage Tower. There'll be three of them. Each specializing in the elements Water, Earth, and Wind."
He sighed, looking a tad annoyed. "Again? That's the third group in the past two months." He complained, making me chuckle.
"Well apparently those scrolls were something Orochimaru had acquired once, but his base was taken over and everything was confiscated. He's been pretty cranky for not having it."
Shikamaru glanced at me curiously. "He sounds like a pain." He commented, making me sigh. "You have no idea."
He chuckled lightly at this. "Anything from the Akatsuki." I pursed my lips tightly in annoyance.
"No. It's not easy getting information from someone who is inside a puppet. But they're not after Naruto yet. We'll meet again with him in a few days. I'll place a seal on him and try to infiltrate his whereabouts later on. See if I can figure out what their plans are." I informed him.
He looked at me carefully. "Miyu, that's really dangerous." He began to warn. I smiled lightly, raising an eyebrow. "Shikamaru, in case you forgot, Orochimaru is one of the Legendary Three Sanin who was once a member of the Akatsuki and I managed to gain his trust. Well, enough trust as that man has to anyone." I added thoughtfully.
He doesn't tell me everything. Especially if it involves the Leaf directly. I have to sneak around and listen in.
He's very secretive unless he trusts you 100%. Which he doesn't to anyone. Except maybe that damn Kabuto.
But it's not going to be easy. He's right. Doing that will be a life on the line kind of thing. It wasn't easy infiltrating Orochimaru. But since I'm dating Sasuke it was easier to do so.
The Akatsuki won't trust me. The twin of one of their targets. No one would. That's why this is hard. And to be in Orochimaru's good graces I had to go out on missions and follow his orders.
It sure hasn't been a picnic, that's for damn sure. "Well, that's all I have to report." I stood, dusting the grass off my pants. "I have to be back by sun down. Orochimaru and Kabuto went to the base in the Rain Village a week ago. They'll be back tonight."
He nodded and stood as well. "Alright, I'll let Lady Hokage know of his plan. Thanks for the hard work."
I smiled lightly and turned. "Watch over them for me." I could feel his gaze on my back, burning a hole into me. "Of course." He whispered. With that in mind, I jumped into the trees and headed back to the base.
I'm thankful Shikamaru tells me how they're doing. And I'm happy to know Naruto and Choji believe in me. I love Sasuke, I do, but I don't think I could have betrayed my brother.
This way, I can protect both of them. Although I can't ever return to the Leaf. I can't return to my brother. I have followed him a bit here and there.
As an overbearing sister, I wanted to make sure he was safe, no matter where he was. That's why I chose these clothes. They're similar to his. And that makes me feel better.
It's not easy to check on him though, since Pervy Sage is always with him. There were a couple times I messed up and was almost discovered by him. I had to make clones and transform them into sexy women with long black hair.
I noticed Jiraiya has a thing for traditional beauties. And Tsunade of course.
Things sure have changed in only two years.
I continued on for a while, keeping up a nice pace back to the current hideout we were at. I was sent out to retrieve a serum from the Hidden Mist. It's a simple task so I wasn't sent with anyone.
Besides, I do better alone, it's easier that way. There's no one that I really like to go out on missions with either, other then Sasuke of course. I guess I'm good with Haru too. Not so much the sound losers or any of the other followers.
Actually I ended up stabbing Jirobo eight times and breaking all six of Kidomaru's arms after hearing of their battles with Choji and Neji. I had a babysitter with me for a while for that. I regret nothing
As I neared the hideout, someone caught my attention below. "Miyu." His deep voice spoke. I immediately jumped down next to him. "Yo. I'm back." I smile lightly, staring into his dark eyes. He nodded and turned. "Come on." He spoke, walking on.
I sighed lightly, staring at his back. I'm still the closest person to him, but overtime, the darkness in his heart only grew more and more.
I tried, I tried to get him to let go of the hatred, but we were living with Orochimaru. The epiphany of darkness.
Walking by him, I slipped my hand into his, to which he held tightly. The most I can do in this situation is being there for him. Keeping him anchored to sanity. I'm not giving up on him. Not in the long run.
"I see you're back." Suddenly an arm is slung around my shoulder, pulling me a bit away from Sasuke. I glanced over to Haru, who had a smirk on his face. I raised an eyebrow at his closeness but didn't really care.
"I thought you were in the Sand." I said. He shrugged nonchalantly. "Eh. Not too hard. The new Kazekage sure is observant though. I was almost caught." My mind drifted to Gaara. I had heard the news earlier on.
I'm glad that he was able to turn his life around. Naruto really inspired him. But that's my brother for you. Always inspiring people.
Sasuke's hand that was in mine clenched and pulled me away from Haru and back to his side. You can't tell because he shows no emotions now a days, but he looked pretty annoyed. "Oh relax Uchiha. Like I would like an Amazon like her. She's barely a girl." Haru rolled his dark blue eyes.
Annoyed, I elbowed him roughly between his ribs. "Ah!" He cried out and clutching the area I hit.
"See." He groaned out. Little brat. "Anyway; is there any progress on you know who?" I turned to Sasuke. He nodded, looking forward. Haru stood and walked along with us. "Just a matter of time huh?" He murmured. I sighed loudly, looking up at the night sky. "This'll be troublesome."
~
"You're creepy as usual." I spoke, leaning against the cold wall as soon as I entered the room. There stood Orochimaru and Kabuto, looking into some scrolls.
They got back last night, but I didn't bother checking in with them. Kabuto immediately shot me a dirty look. "You will treat Lord Orochimaru with respect." He hissed.
I raised an eyebrow at him. "Yeah, okay." I scoffed, which enraged him further. He was about to go off again when Orochimaru cut him off. "You have it, right?" He asked. His slithery voice is something I never got used to. It always creeps me out.
Reaching into my pouch, I lightly tossed it to him. He caught the syringe with ease and his golden eyes twinkled with that sinister mischief.
"Well done Miyuna." I nodded in a respectful way. I always complete my missions. Even ones from a complete and total psychopath.
"Train some more with Sasuke and Haruto. You still haven't quite mastered Wood Release, right?" I grit my teeth and refrained from grabbing my arm. I kept emotion from my face as best as I could.
Of course staying here means I've improved my poker face. "Yes Orochimaru." I said, nodding my head before turning and leaving. I pushed back my feelings. No matter what happened, I can't let it get in the way of my mission. It doesn't matter. Their safety is all that matters.
I walk through the dark halls, scrunching my nose up slightly as I passed one room. I stared at it a bit. The smell of the room smells of mold and old cardboard. But the person in there is another story. This chakra scent is like morning dew.
Hm, if I remember correctly, that's one of Orochimaru's new experiments. I shook my head and continued my way.
I headed out to the training area where I usually go. Sasuke was already there, using his Sharingan on Haru. I smirked mischievously as the two fired jutsu's at each other.
I quickly weaved my hands together. "Lightning Style: Pulse!" I slammed my hand on the ground. Lightning crackled all over the ground and raced forward, shocking the two up ahead.
Of course, being the ninja they are, they jumped up and away, breaking from the electrical current.
I took my hand off the ground and laughed at their annoyed expressions. "Ha, ha. Real funny." Haru grumbled. I controlled my laughter a bit. "I thought it was." I grinned.
Sasuke sighed, shaking his head. "Really, you never change do you?" He asked. I walked over to him, grin in tact, and pinched his cheek. "Oh but you love me." I teased. He rolled his eyes and swatted my hand away. But the corner of his lip moved up in a small smile.
I smiled lightly at him, enjoying his smile, then I smirked mischievously. "Alright then. You pansies ready to fight?"
