The next day, Shadow was about to head towards the Nature Kingdom to visit Y/N when suddenly, Sonic stopped his tracks.

"What do you want?" Shadow asked. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to the Nature Kingdom to see Y/N. Why?"

"Oh she's not at the Nature Kingdom. She's at the Animal Kingdom visiting Princess Cream."

"Thanks for that information."

"Any time sir!" Shadow soon arrived at the Animal Kingdom. He looked around and saw many different creatures everywhere.

When he walked inside the Castle, he saw you talking to Princess Cream and having some girl time. He even saw you petting an adult tiger. Shadow smiled and walked towards them.

"Hey girls." You looked up and smiled. "Hi Shadow."

"Hi Mr. Shadow." Shadow looked at the tiger.

"Don't worry. All animals here are friendly." Cream said.

Shadow smiled and pets the tiger gently.

"What are you doing here Shadow?" You asked.

"I wanted to see you again."

"Me?"

"Yeah." You blushed a little.

"That's so sweet." Cream said.

Cream got up and accidently bumped into the book shelf. Suddenly a book fell on her head.

"Ow!" She rubbed her head in pain and then looked at the book that fell.

"Huh?" She picked the book up and looked at the page that it opened to.

"What is this?" Cream asked herself.

"Mr. Tails!" Tails quickly flew towards Cream.

"What's wrong Cream?"

"Do you know what this is?" Cream gave Tails the book as he began to look at it.

"I do actually. This is the Animal Kingdom's Artifact."

"Artifact?"

"You don't know about Kingdom Artifacts Cream?" You asked.

"No. I haven't learned them yet."

"Well I don't know much about them but I heard that they are very important." Tails said.

"Who would know more about this?" Shadow asked.

"I think I know who might." You knew who to go to.

Later, they arrived at the Legend Kingdom to visit Queen Tikal.

"So you guys wanna learn about the Kingdom's Artifacts?" Tikal asked.

"Yup."

"Follow me to the secret library." They began to follow Tikal.

Tikal pressed a secret button to open the hidden doors. They walked inside as the doors closed behind them.

They arrived at the hidden library and saw lots of books everywhere. Tikal pressed another button revealing her Kingdom Artifact and a very big book next to it that was hidden in the walls.

The Artifact was protected in its small dome and it was glowing brown.

"Whoa!" Cream was shocked while you smiled. Shadow loved seeing you smile.

"Nice library." Tails said.

"Thanks. This is the Legend Kingdom's Artifact. Its power helps protect the Kingdom." Cream was about to touch it but Tikal stopped her.

"You must not ever touch it unless it is necessary." Tikal opened the big book and flipped a few pages until she found the right one.

"Many centuries ago, Each ruler from each Kingdom were enemies towards each other because they believed that being different or having different abilities was a huge threat. So they each created these Artifacts to help protect their Kingdom from danger."

"Since they were not together as one, their Artifacts weren't as powerful as they thought they would be. Soon, dark forces of evil came to their lands and stole their Artifacts for power."

"Each Kingdom tried to stop them but they were to powerful. The Kingdoms realize that they have to work together to defeat the dark forces of evil."

"They united their powers together, they were able to use the Artifacts powers against the evil dark forces and banish them for life."

"After that, the Kingdoms decided to work together from now on and uses there powers to make their Artifacts connect to each Kingdom for extra power of protection."

"But what they didn't know, is that evil presents was still within and that a few of the Kingdoms were cursed but it wouldn't arise until a few centuries later. So if the artifacts loses its glow and color, it will no longer work and it will serve to the forces of evil."

"Wow. I can't believe that actually happened." Tails said.

"Each Kingdom has to protect their Artifacts incase something like this happens again so that's why you must protect the Artifacts at all cost. Here's some pictures of the Artifacts for each Kingdom." Tikal said as she flipped a few pages.

"This is the Ice Kingdom Artifact."

"Wow. That's a lot." You looked at it surprised.

"True. But at least they keep each of us safe." Tikal said.

"Thanks for showing us around Tikal." Tails said.

"No problem. Happy to help."

"See you later." You waved goodbye to Tikal.

"Bye." Tikal said as they left.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" Shadow asked.

"I'd like that." You smiled softly.

"Bye."

"Bye." You both went home while saying goodbye. What they didn't know is that the three mysterious hedgehogs were watching the whole time.

"It appears that King Shadow has found his future Queen." The middle one said.

"This is bad! This is really bad! Wait...she's not even Queen yet. So we're good." The right one said with a smile.

"Idiot. So what do we do now?" The left one asked.

"It seems that Y/N doesn't even have any feelings for the King yet so now we can plan something that will make things take a little bit longer." The middle one said.

"He only has a week and a half left. What do you plan on doing?" The left one said.

"Oh don't worry. First we'll warm things up and then steal these Artifacts from these pathetic Kingdoms." The middle one said. Suddenly, a little kid in the black cloak came towards them.

"What's the news?" The middle one said.

"He's going to see her tomorrow."

"Perfect. I'll just have to send in my best men."

"Um...who are they again?" The right one asked.

"You'll find out soon enough." The middle one said with an evil chuckle as their eyes began to glow red.
