I walked through my small apartment, in the heart of downtown Toronto, searching for my black pair of heals. My roommate, Maisie, borrowed them and never knew how to put things back. Of course, when I go looking for them, she's at work.
I step into her mess of a room, the cold floor giving me a shiver. She always kept a window open, she got warm very fast. A sudden breeze rushed in a my curly blonde hair blew in front of my face. I pushed it back as well as I could while searching for my heals. I threw her clothing onto her bed, finally finding my shoes. I grabbed them up quick and ran out of her room, closing the door behind me.
I put on my skin tight, black dress. I touched up my makeup, applying a bit more eyeshadow to enhance my light blue eyes. I slipped on my black heals before grabbing some money, stuffing it in my bra, and heading out the door for another night of partying.
I wandered the floor of the night club, searching for someone to dance with. I normally had men lining up to dance with me. For some reason, I was of no priority tonight. I finally gave up and sat down on a stool by the bar.
"What can I get for you?" The bartender, with sleeves of tattoos and a jaw line that could kill, asked me.
I thought for a second before pointing at a girl a few seats down from me, "May I have whatever she is having?" The bartender nodded and got to work while I searched through the crowd. I was lot leaving this club without a hookup, I had the entire apartment to myself.
The bartender slid me my drink, I thanked him, and stood up. I swirled the drink in my hand as I approached a group of guys, one standing on the outside while the others talked. I walked up to the outsider and tried to talk to him over the music, "Want to dance?" I asked him with a sly smirk.
He gave me a small shrug, "Sure!" He smiled. I grabbed his hand as I took another sip my drink. I brought him out to the dance floor and began, what I thought, would be just another one night stand.
I turned around and planted a firm kiss on his lips, still holding my nuisance of a drink. "Why don't we bring that back to the bar?" He suggested, saying it into my ear. I nodded and brought it back over, placing it on the edge. He brought me over to the side of the dance floor and placed a hand on my hip, keeping rythyhym
By the end of the night, my makeup was smudging on my face and the guy, who I never quite got a name from, was still with me. Not that it was annoying, but most left after this long just dancing.
"Want to go back to my place?" I asked him with a smirk. "Its right around the corner."
"I would love to." He whispered into my ear. We left the loud and sweaty nightclub to be greeted by a slight breeze. The streets were still crowded, what do you expect from a Friday night in downtown Toronto?
"I never did get a name from you." He stated, looking down at the sidewalk.
"I like to keep that a secret." I said deadpan, he looked at me as if I had five heads. "I'm kidding, my name is Opal. But that is all I tell."
"Well in that case, only call me Mitch." He smiled as we approached the front doors to the apartment building.
"I have never had a hookup even as for my name before." I laughed, pressing the buttons on the elevator to go up.
"I do try to be a gentlemen." He laughed as well. "That is, until we reach the bedroom." He added on, I unlocked the front door and pushed him up against it when we got in. "Do you not have a roommate?" He asked in between each kiss.
"Working." I answered, before kicking off my shoes and bringing him to my bedroom.
