You looked at the ground as it started to get further and further away from you. What you didn't realize is that the ghoul had picked you up and was licking the blood from his lips wanting more of your flesh. He bit deeper in the same spot as before. As you felt the flesh ripping away from your body, you stared to feel sick and began to get dizzy. Your body soon began to become heavy, no longer being able to feel your legs, you gave way and put all your body weight on the man hoping that he would be a good support to keep you off the ground. You were about to lose consciousness as you could smell the iron from your blood. You couldn't stand blood and the way it smelled, it managed to always get to your head making you feel sick. Its one of those things that if it is your blood you just can't handle it, but when it comes to others, then it doesn't bother you. Just as you were about to give in to the darkness, a memory came flooding back into your mind.

~Flashback~

You and your mum where getting some food since you have been out all day shopping. You never liked crowded places and they made you feel uneasy and claustrophobic. You would never let go of your mums hand, you would fear you were going to lose her. Looking in the opposite direction, you noticed a pretty doll sitting in the window, she was beautiful with her long blond hair and chocolate brown eyes in a pretty blue dress with a round hat. You being so young, were encouraged by the doll's beauty to go over to her. You walked up to the window in ore, but what you didn't realize is that you had let go of your mothers hand, and was now lost in the big crowd of people. "M-mummy? Where did you go?!" Frantically you looked around, but could see no sign of her, you started running until you where out of the crowd of people and open to the green landscape. You walked up a hill crying your eyes out. You sat under the tree on top of the hill and brought your knees close to your chest, crying hoping your mum will find you soon. A couple of minutes later, you heard someone walking towards you, looking up hoping it to be your beloved mother, it was a boy. He was a bit taller than you and had sky blue eyes and short blond hair. "Hello there, are you ok?" You looked down and started to remember you lost your mum and how you would never get to see her smile."I-i lost my mummy and don't know where she went." You started to sniff and hug your knees tighter. The boy then looks down in sorrow as he started to walk over to you and sit beside you. "I'm sorry you lost your mummy. Would you like me to sit here with you until she comes?" You look up at him with thankful eyes. You slowly nod as he gives you a sweet smile. "My name is Luke, whats yours?" He asked in a simple tone. "(y/n), my name is (y/n)."

~End of Flashback~

Why was that popping up into your mind now? That was the first time you met Luke. Was your life flashing before your eyes? Is this......my...end? Just as you were about to give in to the darkness, you heard someone shout. Your hearing was muffled at the time but you knew that someone was there. T-thank y-you......You mentally said as you closed your eyes sinking into the dark as you knew that someone had finally found you and you could go to sleep knowing that someone was there helping you. 

Kaneki's POV

I was sent to the shops by Anteiku to receive our weekly order. I have been at Anteiku for two weeks now thanks to Touka. She found me roaming around at night trying to fight the urge to...resist. But it has been hard these past weeks and i have had to change some things about me. I grew my hair a bit longer and now have to wear an eye patch, which gets uncomfortable sometimes because of the shape of it and the way it sits. Today was my first day working in Anteiku as a waiter, i have mainly been upstairs where the apartments are trying to focus on the real world and trying to resist the urge. But, there is one thing i can't get off my mind, and its (y/n). She was and still is the love of my life, and, i just left, left her and all my friends with no warning, no calls no nothing. In reality she probably thinks im dead, which i should be, and i kind of can't go back now and just show up like nothing happened. It was now getting late as i started to walk faster to the store wanting to get back to Anteiku before anything happens, but, with just my luck, the one thing i hoped would never cross my path, did. I started to get hot, i didn't like this, but the smell was so...so intriguing, like it was wanting me to just get one taste. I could feel myself get hotter by the minute as my body longed for the taste, just....one....taste. With out knowing i ran to where i could smell it......it started getting closer....closer....until, i was met with the red substance on the floor. Looking down the alley way, i smelled it getting stronger. Just as i was about to jump, i stopped myself. Not just because i am not one of those monsters, but because of the sight i saw in front of me. My eyes widen in shock to find a horrifying site. There, in the slightest bit of light you could possibly get in an alley way, was the love of my life. Her limp body was in the arms of a monster as they were biting her shoulder. I couldn't see them as they were well hidden. They still fed off of her and then started kissing up her neck. I felt the rage rush through my body as my blood boiled. I still couldn't see the ghoul's face but i still caught the scent of him. "STOP!" I yelled as i was worried about (y/n). I looked at her as she closed her eyes with a slight smile on her face as she fell into nothingness.
