Third Person POV

It had been at least two weeks since (y/n) got attacked by the girls. Kaneki had still kept his promise and has stuck by her the whole time and has always been by her side no matter what making sure she was ok. Hide is still trying to figure out Luke and his personality, sadly, he still has a while to go. Those girls are still roaming around the school causing gossip and rumors, every now and then they have seen Luke with (y/n) and have given her glares. (y/n) just rubs them off and continues to hang with her friends. Luke still doesn't know that (y/n) has been bullied by the girls and he never noticed the scars and bruises. (y/n) would always have a smile on her face to hide the pain. Luke would notice this every so often, but wouldn't mention it. The group began to walk home together after school, first they would walk Hide home, then (y/n) and the boys would go their separate ways. They started to become very close friends and as they got closer Kaneki has started to realize his feeling towards (y/n) and is willing to do anything to keep her safe from those girls, just like (y/n) has promised herself to keep Luke safe.

Kaneki's POV

There has still been no sign of those girls harming (y/n), i have still kept my promise and i am willing to keep it that way, no matter what happens. After walking my friends home, i walked to my favourite cafe that i usually go to with Hide. I sat down at a table and ordered my usual coffee. I started to read my favourite book while waiting, when i heard the seat in front of me move along the ground. Realizing this, I looked up to find a girl with long purple hair and red glasses. She placed a book down on the table and i noticed that it was the same one i was reading. I looked at her in the eyes, they were purple, just like her hair. As a looked, i felt like i was getting sucked in. I couldn't put my finger on it but it felt like i was being controlled or hypnotized. She looked at me sweetly. The more i looked in her eyes, the more beautiful she became. "Hello, my name is Rise." She smiled at me, her voice made me blush, it was so sweet and comforting. Wait what?!! What am i thinking!!! I try to get out of my daze and blink a couple of times so i wasn't looking directly in her eyes. "H-hi there." I said to Rise as she kept looking at me like i was the most precious thing in the world. She blushed and realized she was staring.. We talked for quite a while actually and we had a lot in common. She seemed really nice, or was that just my mind going crazy? I knew i liked (y/n) and thought she was the one, but, this, this girl keeps putting things in my head making me see things for what they are not. It felt like i was being forced to love her...

---Time skip---

We didn't realize how late it was, it was almost 6 pm. We walked out of the cafe and it began getting awkward. I was about to say goodbye and part ways when she looked to me and lowered her head in some sort of shame? "Um, Kaneki....do you thing, you could.......walk me home? Its not that far from here." She said to me as i nodded. I couldn't stop myself, i didn't want to walk her home, she looked fine on her own. I on the other hand wanted to go and see if (y/n) was ok but it felt like i was forced to stay by her side by an imaginary rope tugging at me wherever she went. We began to walk in complete silence and i looked in front to see where we were going. To be honest if anyone walked pasted us i swore i looked like i was on drugs. We came into an ally way that led to a work construction site. Why would she live in the middle of a construction site? "Its just over there," She said getting closer to me, i felt a bit awkward and anxious. But there was something louring me to her. "I had a fun time with you Kaneki...." She said in my ear, i could feel her warm breath on my neck, i began to shiver feeling like i wanted her....but i didn't, i wanted (y/n)..."You are such i nice boy, i really like you Kaneki, do you think, you could be inside me?" As she said this her hands grabbed my shoulders and she squeezed tightly, i started to blush not knowing what was going to happen. I didn't know what was going to happen, IS SHE GOING TO KISS ME!! Just as i was about to say something, i felt a sharp pain in my right shoulder. I started to scream and pushed Rise away now out of the drug daze realizing what had just happened. As i did, i fell to the ground and held my shoulder in pain. She bit me!!!

"Mmm, Kaneki, you are so delicious!" She said this as she was hunched over wiping my blood away from here mouth! She licked her lips and stood like a crazy lunatic. Her red glasses were now smashed on the floor and her eyes were now had a crimson red blood pupil and the rest of her eye was pitch black. I no longer saw the Rise that hypnotized me, now, now i was out of my daze, all i saw was a monster and my eyes widen in horror as i saw what was in front of me....A ghoul...."I must have more!!" As my warm blood ran down my arm, Rise arched her back and these, tentacles came out from her back ripping her dress. There were four of them, two were helping her walk and the other two were trying to catch me. I started to run as fast as i could trying not to worry about my arm when i felt something stab me. "Where do you think your going!!" I looked down as i started to cough blood. It was Rise, one of her tentacles were pierced through my stomach. She threw me against the construction site and i felt my ribs shatter. The pain was excruciating as she pulled it out of my shattered body and took another bite out of my left shoulder. I started to scream and kick, i eventually shook her off and she fell to the ground, i was staring to lose consciousness and all my focus, Was this the end? Will i ever get to see the love of my life again? Just as i was about to fall into the darkness that was slowly pulling me in, Rise got ready to jump on my frozen body and take another bite when i heard bangs and clatters coming from above. The next thing i saw was a pile of metal pipes on top of the ghoul, she was dead. I started to feel nauseous and my head began to spin...No...this can't be the end...I...I still have a promise....to....keep....I began to see darkness form around the outside of my eyes slowly making its way to totally blind me from sight. "I...i love y-you (y/n)." I coughed up blood and took my last breath closing my eyes giving in to the darkness. I'm....sorry....
