Chapter 12- hell
Karma POV
I stormed towards the Ouija board Taylor had still laid out on the floor. I could feel her walk up behind me and I pushed he back without even looking at her. She had already gone too far and getting her in even more danger was something I didn't really want to do.
I dropped down to the floor, my legs awkwardly bending and I placed my hands on the planchette and calling out in my loudest tone, "Give me the fucking demon that was just talking to Taylor!"
There was silence for a long moment. Fucking dick knew what I'd be like.
After the pause, my hands slowly began to move. The words spelled 'here'.
"Get over here if you know what's best for you," I growled. I could only imagine Taylor was flinching back there but I didn't care, I needed to get her soul back.
It didn't take long before the room filled with smoke. I ran to the bathroom and searched through my duffle bag, pulling out holy water and rope. I grabbed a bathroom towel on my way out, passing it to Taylor so she could cover her weak human lungs.
I saw the figure standing near Taylor, watching her. I let out a low growl and stepped in between them. I stormed closer to the monster and splattered holy water all over his strange looking persona.
He loud out a loud cry and jumped back in pain. I stormed forward with the rope and easily tied his wrists together, dousing him with holy water whenever he tried to squirm.
He pushed him back into a small chair in the corner of the room and tied him to it. I then turned to Taylor who stood shell shocked.
"Sit," I commanded her and she instantly sat down on the bed, too afraid to argue.
I turned back to the demon. "What's your name, heathen?"
"Abigor." The demon was strong for I could tell he was hardly afraid, only in pain.
I nodded and began to pace in front of the green haired hellion. He watched me with cat-like eyes, obviously on guard.
"I want you to give Taylor back her soul."
"No."
"No?" I questioned, surprised that he would be so bold. I poured holy water on his hands and he screamed, his flesh melting away. "Tell me no again, try me."
"N-no."
I stepped forward, an idea in mind. I roughly pried open one of his eyes and aimed the holy water above it, he would be blind soon.
"Stop!" A wail filled the room. I was surprised to note that it was Taylor's voice, not Abigor's.
A light hand reached out for the bottle and I instantly lifted it higher and turned to glare at the dumb girl.
"Are you stupid?"
"He doesn't deserve this. I made the deal."
The demon watched the exchange with a hint of amusement in his creepy eyes.
"I'll give you back your soul, girly." A deep voice filled the room and I spun around to see the demon smiling largely. "It means nothing to me."
Taylor watched him with a slight smile, "Really?"
The demon just nodded. "If you let me go unscathed, I'll return it in full."
Taylor turned to me, her eyes wide with excitement. "Do you promise?"
Had this been any other human filth, I would have laughed in their face. But Taylor, there was something about her that drew me in. Her strength, her forgiveness, it was all new to me. "Yes."
"Come here," the demon called out to her.
She took a step forward and I stepped behind her, a hand resting on her shoulder as to keep her in this realm.
"Put an arm on me and I'll pass it back." She followed instructions and I could hear a slight gasp from her as he passed it back to her.
I slowly went to the ropes, sawing them loose with my knife. Once he was untied, the demon stood tall, almost as tall as me.
"'Till next time." He waved at Taylor and disappeared into thin air.
