You stuffed your face into your pillow and sighed, it was so cold. You groaned, rolled over, and pulled a pillow close to your body and smiled at its warmth.

“(y/n)?” You heard footsteps run over to your bed and someone shake your shoulder. “(y/n) wake up! Someone’s at the door”. You pushed your face deeper into the pillow, then you heard the little girl giggle.

“Roman, what are you doi-“you were cut off by the little girl hitting you with a pillow.

“Get up! It’s Riza!”

            You sat up quickly and pushed the covers off your bare legs, pulled on the baggy sweatpants, ignored your messy hair, and walked outside your room. You walked down the small hallway of your two bedroom apartment and went to the fridge. You licked you lips as you opened the fridge to grab a small sliver of meat, and plopped it into your mouth.

                        You never know it Riza.

            You smiled at the taste and it took all your will to not devour the small amount left in the pack. You walked toward the door and let your left eye turn black. You opened the door and Riza stood there smiling, she donned one of her purple dresses and she didn’t have her glasses.

            “Hello (y/n). Please get ready we’re going to that cute coffee shop down the street” her eyes widened suddenly and she reached out to wipe the side of your mouth. “Were your worried I would try something in day light (y/n)?” her eyes seemed to darken.

            Rolling your eyes you nodded and glanced over your shoulder and saw Roman hiding behind a couch her kagune was out, it coiled around her arm like a snake “Roman! Stop that” the ten year olds kagune slivered back into her back and she ran off to her room which she slammed the door.

            “ come on in Riza, sorry about roman she’s very cautious with strangers” Rizas eyebrows raised and she looked around the small apartment, there was two love seats and a t.v to your immediate left and to the right led to the kitchen.

            You walked down the street with riza exchanging small talk. Riza turned to you “how long has Roman been with you?”

            You smiled “five years, I was thirteen she was five. I found her abandoned on the street she was a mess” You remembered how she staggered along the alleyways with her kagune around her protectively, her thick curly hair was all over the place.

            Riza nodded “why did you decide to protect her?”

            You blushed “your ruining my bad girl record, ya know that?” Riza laughed and opened the door to the shop, she let you walk in and you bumped into someone, something hot landed on your chest and you yelped and fell backwards.

            A boy stood in front of you he seemed around 19 and had bright orange hair “oh my gosh! I’m so sorry!” you blushed and looked down at your shirt, you were wearing a black tee shirt thankfully but it hung tightly to your body because of the coffee.

            Riza ran off and got napkins and handed them to you, the same boy blushed when you caught him staring at your body “I’m so sorry!” he then had a sudden realization, he pulled off his jacket and handed it to you as he helped you up.

            You groaned and you stomach growled loudly the boy chuckled, “Riza I’m going home.” The girl smirked and walked over to the boy.

“Hide could you please walk (Y/n) home she has terrible direction skills” Hide nodded and held out his elbow for you to lock arms with a big smile.

            “Let me buy you dinner at least “Hide said as you started walking down the street. Your stomach growled even louder, and your mouth watered as Hide’s smell entered your nostrils.

            “I’m actually not that hungry.” You began to panic and you un-linked your arms “I can walk m-myself.” You quickly started walking ahead.  The sun was sinking and slowly becoming darker.
