eurydice walked near the
pool of their backyard, where
the fire exit lead her. she
looked from left to right to
see if someone saw her. when
the coast is clear, she went to
the pool and dipped herself
on the cold water. after dipping
herself, she's now really wet.

she went out of the pool and
coughed, eurydice was about
to get back to the party inside
their house when someone
called her name.

she looked who was it, vivian.

❝ anong nangyari sa 'yo?❞ her
half sister asked, confusion is
evident on her face. ❝ bakit ka
basang-basa?❞ she followed up.

eurydice don't know why she
suddenly felt nervous. she just
faked a cough and reasoned,
❝ naglilibot lang ako nang dalhin
ako ng mga paa ko rito. i w-was
just attracted by the pool, then i
s-slipped and fell on the pool,
that's why i'm now wet. good
thing i know how to swim, kung
hindi nalunod na ako.❞

vivian nodded at eurydice's
reason. ❝ gan'on ba? then let me
help you go to your room to
change your clothes. baka
matuyuan ka pa.❞

she agreed at vivian's offer
and they went to her room, she
dried herself and changed her
clothes then they went back to
the hall, where most of the
visitors are.

❝ i'll be talking on some of the
guests. have fun! you can eat
lots of food there.❞ then vivian
left her along the crowd.

she just sighed and went to
the table where the foods are.
she get a plate and put some
foods there, then she sensed
that someone pat her shoulders.
she looked at that person.

❝ hey my dear niece. how's the
food and the party? ❞ her aunt
asked with a smile on her face.

❝ let's see if that smile of yours
will not fade when you knew
what happened to your husband,❞
eurydice said . . . in her mind.

she just smiled. ❝ well everything's
going pretty well. it's just a
simple party but i like it. hindi
gan'on ka-ingay. kayo naman po?❞

her aunt clapped, she was about to
answer when she was interrupted
by one of their maids.

❝ m-ma'am, si sir.❞ the maid was
stuttering and doesn't know what
to say.

❝ oh, bakit? anong problema?❞

❝ s-si sir po. may masamang
nangyari sa kaniya. nakita po siya
sa banyo niyo, duguan,❞ the maid
said which made hecate to
freak out.

❝ ano? teka, dalhin niyo ako sa
kaniya! tumawag na rin kayo ng
ambulansya!❞

the maid accompanied her and
asked one of the guards to call
an ambulance.

eurydice on the other hand was
smirking. she can't help but feel
the enthusiasm for what
happened to his uncle.

❝ looks like another funeral will
happen and now, the justice
i am looking for is now an
inch away from me.❞ she
smirked of that thought.
