Just because

Does it resonate with you?

the sleepless nights,

the tang of saltiness,

a soothing coldness,

to warm your numb cheek?

Does it resonate with you?

the thumping of your heart,

so loud and blaring,

booming off your eardrums

in your hollowed out soul?

Does it resonate with you?

thoughts begging to escape

your throat,

but mincing up with your tongue;

the air flinging a string of garbled nonsense?

Does it resonate with you?

when the moon would come up

and smile with the stars;

when the sun would run hiding

amongst the clouds;

when you see me,

being me?

Do you want to know? Do you want to hear? Do you want to see my naked hollowed out soul,dear?

When you say yes, I will stand still for you like an obedient pentapetalous flower, waiting to be detached from all her five petals.

The winds or the currents or the torrential downpours can kill the stalk I remain for you as. All I fear is the naked judgement I would see when I bare my soul to you.

It's daunting.

It's scary.

But just because, I feel vulnerable to show the truth, I shouldn't stay behind the bars of veneer and secretly gloat over my skills to paint a plastic smile on my tin face, until the end of time.

I have to confide in you.
I need to confide in you.

Perhaps when you know, you would want to impart the hollowed out soul of this girl in tatters with your favorite colors.

I want you to see me smile.
I need you to smile at my smile.
