Song used to write this chapter:
River of tears, Alissa Cara
Opening her house door, Judy let in the red fox.
Upon opening the door, Judy lead Nick to a chair at the kitchen table. The fox sniffed the air, "You cook stir fry?" He asked her and she shook her head.
"Zoey usually cooks. I however, can only cook microwavables." Judy said, taking a plate from the refrigerator and placing it in the microwave.
Once it was done, she sat it in front of the fox. "Eat up." She said as she went to the sink and finished unwashed dishes.
Nick inspected the vegetables before taking a bite. He would smile in delight if he wasn't wrapped in despair.
"Judy.." He said, placing down the fork.
The bunny lifted her ear but didn't look at him. "Hmm?" She hummed, still scrubbing some dishes.
"About the academy...I have to leave for training." His voice became lower as he slowly sunk into his seat.
"Well, when?"
"T-tomorrow.."
The bunny lowered her ears and stopped washing the dishes. "Y-you're leaving..tomorrow? For fifteen months.." Her voice shook with sadness as she kept a straight posture.
"Yeah." He answered simply. "That buffalo guy said the academy is on the outskirts of town."
"Very far, huh?"
Nick felt bad, "Yeah..but it's worth it-"
"Is it worth leaving me?!" Her voice suddenly raised.
Nick wanted to speak but she continued. "Is it worth leaving me, Nick? Please..tell me."
"Judy It's for a job-"
"But..." she drew in a shaky breath. "I don't want you to leave." Her voice broke.
Nick stood up and wrapped his arms around her. She hugged him tightly as she cried into his chest. "I'm sorry..But this is something I really want, Judy."
She clutched on to his shirt and breathed in his scent. She tried to speak but broke into a sob. The poor bunny couldn't quite put what she meant into to words. Though her heart broke into pieces, she hadn't even told him she loved him. But she sure as hell felt like she loved him. And she did. Which wasn't a problem. But...she'd usually hear her from her family that she'd come off as clingy or overprotective. She hasn't been in any relationships since she was seventeen. Now that she was twenty four, maybe that old clingy habit hasn't died.
Apart from that, she's becoming even more overprotective. Must've been instinct..
Nick could sense her despair and how unsteady she was. He felt bad for her, she was a emotionally unstable bunny and he knew that. But he also knew that the only way he could see her everyday and be beside her at all times would be if he became her partner. Which is why he had made this painful decision.
If only she'd understand..

He stood with his duffel bag on his arm. The wind was mostly calm either than the suddenly thick atmosphere which only became so when everything went silent.
There were only a few people around, hugging or saying to their loved ones that they loved them. Nick kept a straight stare at the ground, he tried to stay strong.
And it was hard for a fella who told themself, never let them see that they get to you. But apparently, he was letting her get to him.
The small bunny stood beside him, not saying a word. It was as if she wasn't breathing. It was definitely an awkward situation, and the deadly silence was heart wrenching enough. And the only movement she'd make is when she'd wipe tears from her face.
The sound of grinding train wheels and the screech of the brake, startled them. "Leaving for outskirts of Zootopia in T-minus five minutes." The train announcer said.
Nick clutched his fist. He couldn't leave her without saying anything..
"J-Judy.." He muttered slowly.
"Nick.." She barely said. She couldn't get the word out without more tears running down her face.
Nick felt the tears burn in his eyes, "I have to-"
"I know, Nick. I-it's just that, fifteen months is a long time." She wiped more tears.
He grabbed her paw, shifting his eyes to hers. Emerald on amethyst. "It'll only be a long time if you make it." He said to her.
The bunny began to cry some more. "N-Nick don't leave." Her heart shattered more than it already was. "P-please Nick, don't go!"
He hugged the bunny, holding her close. "I'm sorry. I really am Judy." His voice, for the first time around her, crack.
She gripped his shirt tightly, he tears damping his shirt. "You don't understand, I can't live without you." She sobbed.
"Judy, you're making it harder for me to leave." He said to her, tears damping the fur on his face.
"Leaving for outskirts of Zootopia in T-minus two minutes."
More animals started to board the train.
Nick held her tightly and said, "Don't forget about me, Judy." He slowly pulled from the hugged and looked her in her eyes.
"I'll never let you leave my mind, Nick." She muttered, and sighed.
Nick sat his bag down before undoing his tie and bringing it from around his neck.
"Take this."
He put it around her neck, tying it and looking at her. "Take it, and hold on to it. Don't lose it." He said.
Judy nodded, "I wish I had something to give you.." She slightly laughed as did Nick.
"Don't worry, I stole one of your stuffed bunnies." He said with an attempt grin.
She smiled sadly while looking in his sad emerald green eyes. "I'll miss you Nick."
"Same here, Carrots. Stay pretty for me, will ya?"
She chuckled and nodded, "Definitely. And you be a good fox at the academy. B-be at the top of your class."
He smiled, "I'll keep that in mind."
It dropped to silence again. Zoey tapped Judy's arm, "He's gotta go, Judes."
Judy looked up at the clock and sighed. She wrapped her arms around his neck and delivered a passionate kiss. Once they broke apart, Nick bit his lip to keep himself from crying. "I'll see you later, Judy." He said, turning and walking towards the train doors with his duffel bag.
"Wait!"
She ran to him and hugged him. One last time, she did.
Marking his scent in her nose, "I love you, Nicholas Wilde."
He kissed the top of her forehead. "I love you too."
"All aboard train to outskirts of Zootopia leaving now."
The train's horn honked twice and it's door began to close.
Nick climbed on to the train, going through the doors and not looking back. He knew that if he did, he would find himself staying.
Judy watched as the train started leaving. "N-Nick.." She fell to her knees and Zoey rushed to her quickly.
"We gotta go."
Judy clutched Nick's tie in her paws, bringing it to her heart. "Alright.." She muttered.
"Let's go."
Oma gawd...have you ever written something so s as that you literally start crying?
Oh gosh..I'm sorry for this sad shiz..But it'll get better.
Promise.
So..you'll have to wait for the next chapter which will come in two days.
