Chapter 4
*(y/n)'s POV*
I showed BB-8 around my college campus for about an hour until I was starting to feel hungry since it was close to the afternoon. "Well, BB-8, I think we should head back to my apartment. I'm starting to feel hungry. Come on." I said, as BB-8 beeped in response, and, then, we headed back to my apartment.
When we got to my apartment, I, slowly, picked up BB-8 and started walking up the stairs, while grunting at the same time. "Maybe I can give you some of my car oil for lunch. How does that sound, BB-8?" I asked, while grunting a bit. BB-8 looked at me and he didn't beep back this time. I stopped in my tracks and looked at BB-8. "I don't know what kind of oil you use, so maybe my car oil could be an alternative oil for you." I said.
Then, BB-8 beeped in response, which I was pretty sure he accepted my offer. "Alright, then, BB-8. I'll give you some of my car oil as soon as we get inside." I said, and, then, I continued up the stairs, and I also continued to grunt.
We finally reached the second floor and I set BB-8 down. We went up to my door, unlocked it with my key, and, then, we walked inside.

In outer space...
*Rey's POV*
After traveling through lightspeed for a long time, we finally reached Earth. The planet looked so beautiful. It was almost a mixture of Takodana and Ahch-To. "This planet is so beautiful. I've never seen a planet with so much blue and green before in my life." I said. "It is beautiful, Rey." Finn said from behind me.
"The red light from the emergency beacon is blinking faster. We must be getting closer to where the escape pod is." Poe said. I looked at the scanners to find the location of where escape pod was.
"I've got the coordinates. Let's head down there. But first, activate the cloaking device, Poe." I ordered. "Why do we have to activate the cloaking device, Rey?" Poe asked. "Because I have a feeling that nobody on this planet has any knowledge about us since we're in a different region of the galaxy." I explained. "Good thinking, Rey. Activating cloaking device." Poe said, as he pressed a button to activate the cloaking device on the Millennium Falcon. Then, I flew the Millennium Falcon towards the marked location.
*Kylo's POV*
"We should be reaching Earth in five minutes, General Hux." I said, while looking at the scanners. "Good, Ren." General Hux said. "The scanners show that the Millennium Falcon has reached Earth and it's heading to the location of where that escape pod landed. I'm sure that's where the new Resistance Base is located. I'll type in the coordinates of where they're going." I said, as I typed in the coordinates.
I could sense that General Hux was looking at me, curiously. "Ren, what's the plan once we confront those on board the Millennium Falcon?" He asked. "We'll deal with that later, General Hux. When the time comes, we'll be ready to determine our plan. Do I make myself clear?" "Whatever you say, Supreme Leader." General Hux said. Then, we proceeded to follow the location once we reach Earth.

On Earth...
*(y/n)'s POV*
After I was done with my lunch and I gave BB-8 some of my car oil for him, I looked at the time on my cell phone. It was only 12:39 pm. But, then, I let out a yawn.
"Well, BB-8, I'm gonna take a nap because I'm so tired for waking up so early this morning." I said. BB-8 beeped at me. "It's not your fault for waking me up so early, BB-8. I'm tired all the time anyway. Maybe after I'm done with my nap, we'll go outside and play since it's so nice and sunny out today. Does that sound good?" I said. BB-8 beeped, merrily, and he rolled side-to-side.
I giggled as I laid down on my couch and pulled a blanket over me and said, "I'll take that as a 'yes' then, BB-8. We'll definitely play outside later. Well, I'm gonna go to sleep. Try not to break something if you're gonna roll around in my apartment while I'm sleeping." Then, I closed my eyes and I tried to go to sleep.
But, then, I felt something metal on my arm. I opened my eyes and I looked down and saw BB-8's head laying against my arm, looking like he's sleeping next to me. I smiled and, gently, patted his head with my other hand. "Thank you, BB-8." I spoke, softly, and, then, I closed my eyes and drifted off into sleep.
*Rey's POV*
We landed the Millennium Falcon in a forest area where we were close to the location of the escape pod and where we could possibly find BB-8. Poe grabbed a small tracking device with the same blinking red light on it so can follow the emergency beacon signal from the escape pod. I grabbed my Lightsaber, while Finn and Poe grabbed their small blasters just in case we needed any back up.
After Poe and I unstrapped ourselves from our chairs, we all walked out of the Millennium Falcon and we started following the signal from the escape pod. "The light is blinking even more faster. We must be getting closer to the escape pod." Poe said, while looking at the tracking device. "Good. At least we'll get BB-8 in no time." Finn said. "Keep at it, Poe." I said, as Finn and I followed Poe.
As soon as we were out of the forest, I glanced to the left side and there was a building close by. It looked strange. It looked like a place where people lived.
My thoughts were soon interrupted when Poe called out, "You guys, look! The escape pod!" I looked to where Poe was pointing and from a faraway distance, it was the escape pod. I let out a silent sigh of relief.
Then, instantly, Poe ran as fast as he could towards the escape pod. "BB-8!" He called out. Finn and I started running after him. When Poe got there, I could slightly see him looking around the escape pod.
By the time Finn and I got there, Poe turned to us, shocked and confused. "He's not here." He said, with his arms up. "What? What do you mean he's not there?" Finn asked. "He's not in the escape pod, Finn. That's why the door is wide open. He must've gotten out. Where could he be?" Poe said, while he was looking around. "He has to be somewhere around here. He's out here all by himself." Finn said, as he started looking around with Poe.
While that was happening, I looked for any clues all around the escape pod. I found some roll marks on the ground that belonged to BB-8. Then, I noticed by the parachute that the strings were cut up in small pieces of string. I kneeled down on the ground and picked up a couple of strings. It confused me because I knew that BB-8 can't get himself out of something if he's tangled, like the time I saved him from Teedo on Jakku.
Then, I glanced down at the ground and I found an important clue. "Finn, Poe, come here!" I called out. "What is it, Rey?" Finn asked, while he and Poe kneeled down next to me. "I don't think BB-8 is alone. Look at this." I said, as I pointed to the clue on the ground. Shoe prints. "It looks like someone found BB-8. That explains the shoe prints, the cut up strings from the parachute, and why he's not here." I said.
Moments later, we all stood up. "Well, if somebody has BB-8, they can't be too far for us to look for him." Finn said. "You're right, Finn. They have to be around here somewhere close by. We don't know for sure, but BB-8 might be in danger or something." Poe said. "Then, what are we waiting for? Let's go look for him. We'll start over there to that area where that large group of people are walking. Maybe BB-8 and whoever has him might be there." I said. "Lead the way, Rey." Poe said, while gesturing me with his hand. Then, I started walking towards that area, with Finn and Poe following behind me.
*Kylo's POV*
After General Hux and I finally made it to Earth, we followed the location of where the Millennium Falcon was heading. It took a few minutes to get there, but we finally made it to the location, which was near a forest area. I landed the transport pod further away from the forest area so no one wouldn't see us or the transport pod.
"Well, General Hux, let's get going." I said, as I unstrapped myself from my seat and I stood up and I checked to make sure I had my Lightsaber on my utility belt, which, of course, was there. "Yes, Ren." General Hux said, while he unstrapped himself from his seat and stood up. Then, we both walked out of the transport pod.
Once we were out, I started walking towards the spot of where the passengers that were on board the Millennium Falcon were located. "Ren, where are you going?" General Hux asked. "I could sense the passengers are nearby, General Hux. We're getting closer." I said. "Good. At least you know that better than I do, Ren." "Because you don't have the Force, Hux." I said. I could sense that he was rolling his eyes.
As soon as we turned to a corner, I stopped in my tracks when I saw who I wasn't expecting to see. "I don't believe it, General Hux. It's that Force-Sensitive scavenger scum, Rey, and that traitor and the Resistance's best pilot." I said, as I saw the three of them walking away. "They're the passengers?" General Hux asked, dumbfounded, which irritated me. "Yes, it's them, General Hux. Come on." I said, as I walked towards the escape pod, with General Hux following behind me.
When we got to the escape pod, we noticed the door was completely open and there were cut up string pieces from the parachute. It was weird. "Something tells me that those three are looking for the droid, Ren, since it wasn't with them." General Hux said. "Then, it must be somewhere around the Resistance Base where Rey and the others are heading." I said, while I was looking at the direction of where I no longer saw Rey and the others.
"Ren, not to be rude or anything, but does this whole area look like a Resistance Base to you?" General Hux asked. I stood up and looked at the buildings nearby. I hate to admit it, but General Hux was right. None of this looked like a Resistance Base. It seemed pretty normal.
"You've got a point there, General Hux. It doesn't. But we're still gonna confront Rey and the others." "And how do you propose we do that, Ren?" General Hux asked, while crossing his arms. "Simple. We'll find them, follow them while they're looking for the droid, and when the time is right, we'll confront them." I explained.
"Well thought out. Also, I just noticed something, Ren. It seems to me that those three aren't just looking for the droid. Look down there." General Hux said, while glancing down at something on the ground. I looked down and saw what he was looking at. Shoe prints next to the roll marks from the droid. It looked like someone had already found the droid before Rey and the others did.
"Well, General Hux, let's get going. We'll find Rey and the others, the droid, and the person they're looking for. Come on." I said, and, then, I started walking towards the same direction Rey and the others walked earlier, with General Hux following behind me.
"Ren, I do have one question." General Hux spoke. "And what would that be, General Hux?" I said back. "If you said earlier that Rey is Force-Sensitive, wouldn't she sense your presence?" He asked. "Oh, that won't be a problem, General Hux. I blocked Rey from me." I explained.
"If she ever decided to make another Force Connection with me again." I mumbled under my breath. "What else did you say, Ren?" "None of your concern, General Hux. She won't be a problem, that's all." I said.
"Good. That's the last thing we need is having a scavenger scum ruin our mission." General Hux said. "Absolutely. We'll find her and the others without them noticing us." "Even when they find the droid and the person they're looking for?" General Hux asked. "Exactly." I said.
As we were walking, I kept having all these thoughts in my mind. Especially one. Who's the person that has the droid that Rey and the others are looking for?
