A/N: Contains Dick having a small panic attack.

Jason walked into the kitchen and handed Alfred the bandages and smiled over at Dick. He could see Dick's small form shaking but not from the cold but from him being nervous. Jason sighed a little bit.

"Master Jason, would you mind taking Mister Dick upstairs and giving him a change of clothing while I attend to his school uniform?" asked Alfred but Dick quickly shook his head 'no' at what Alfred said.

"N-N-No...I'm...it's fine really'' whispered Dick and looked from Jason to Alfred. Alfred glanced over at Dick and Jason just watched for a second. It was odd, it was as if they were having a silent conversation before him, like he has seen Bruce and Alfred do many times before. Finally Dick nodded his head and looked downwards. 

"Great'' said Alfred who turned and left the two along. 

"Come on Dick'' said Jason who waved Dick to follow him out of the kitchen. Dick slowly jumped down off the counter top and silently followed behind Jason. He saw right away that Dick held the arm Alfred was just working on behind his back so that he couldn't see it. 
That only made Jason want to see it even more so.

They slowly and silently headed up the very large staircase and down the hall until they reached Jason's bedroom. Jason quickly walked in and flipped the switched and turned to look at Dick who eyes were wide once more. Jason could simply tell that the whole manor was very impressive to Dick and Jason fondly remembered when Bruce first brought him home and how every little thing was just so big, fancy and amazing. Jason chuckled a little bit and walked over towards his closet and began looking for something Dick and himself could wear.

After finding some clothes, Jason tossed them over towards Dick and Dick caught them with ease. 
"The bathroom is right there if you want to get changed'' said Jason as he pointed towards his bathroom. Dick simply nodded his head and slowly walked pasted him. Just before Dick shut the bathroom door he glanced up and over at Jason who was just undoing his tie. 

"J-Jason?" whispered Dick, making Jason freeze what he was doing and look over at Dick.

"Yeah?" questioned Jason as he watched Dick slightly bit down on his bottom lip.

"Thank y-you'' whispered Dick and his ocean blue eyes met Jason's eyes and Jason couldn't help but smiled at Dick.

"No problem'' said Jason and a tiny smile formed upon Dick's face just before he shut the bathroom door.

As soon as Dick shut the bathroom door he could feel his heart racing within his chest, the quicken breaths he was taking and the shaking on his hands and the light headed feeling that was washing over him.

"This is all too much, too much! I shouldn't be here. I don't belong here. Why are they being so nice to me, I don't deserve it. I need to leave, I can't be here any longer. But what if I leave, will Jason hate me, will he stop being my friend. I....I can't breathe'' thought Dick, his mind was racing as he was beginning to panic. He walked over towards the sink and turned the water on for a moment, trying to focus on the sound of the water but his mind was racing too fast along with his breathing. 

In, out, in, out, in, out as he breathed quickly, he couldn't seem to be able to hold onto the air longer than a second. Dick looked up into the mirror before him and he remembered punching the one at school, now worry and fear was bubbling up in him. He was now worried that he was going to get into trouble at school, get kicked out and what if his foster parents learned about it, he would be in so much trouble, so many hits would becoming his way. Dick shut his eyes tightly shut and bit harshly down on his bottom lip, causing it to bleed.

Just then Dick jumped backwards, away from the sink as he heard knocking upon the bathroom door.

"Dick? Are you okay in there?" asked Jason. Dick sighed and quickly turned off the water and walked over towards the door but froze before he could open it. He had no idea what to do, each little step and choice he made right now would affect everything later on, if he just told Jason he was fine and that he had to leave, then Jason would probably hate him and then he would be all alone again and have no friends, no body. But if he told him the truth then that could show Jason just how weak and pathetic he really was and Jason might disappear still.

"I-I....I'm...umm...I..." began Dick, his mind was still racing and yelling at him to do this, don't do this and a whole lot of what ifs.

"It's okay Dick, take your time. I'm not going anywhere'' said Jason and Dick held his breath as he listen to Jason's foot steps. He nodded his head and exhaled loudly. He glanced over at the mirror for one second and then down at the clothes on the toilet seat.

"What should I do?" thought Dick as he ran his shaking hands through his midnight black hair.

Jason sat down on his bed and bounced his legs up and down as he waited for Dick to come back out. He could tell by Dick's voice that he was panicking at that second but he didn't want to push so he backed up and told Dick to take his time, but as the time went on Jason grew more anxious and worried.

Just before Jason forced himself to stand up and check on Dick, the bathroom door slowly began to open. Jason stood up quickly and glanced over as Dick inched his way out of the bathroom, wearing Jason's clothes. 
Dick had his school uniform folded in his hands. Dick slowly raised his head up and looked up over at Jason who smiled at him.

"Okay!'' said Jason who walked over towards Dick and took his school uniform from his hands. Dick watched everything that Jason did. "I'll give these to Alfred to clean and we can go watch some TV'' said Jason but before he moved towards his door to leave his room he saw something flash across Dick's face.

"Unless....unless you don't want to?" questioned Jason but Dick shook his head 'no' very quickly.

"I just d-don't want to be late going h-home that's all'' whispered Dick as he lowered his head and looked down at the floor.

Jason so badly wished that Dick wasn't in the situation he was in, that he didn't have to go to a place where he was always in fear and always getting hurt. But right now, he was going to protect Dick and make him feel safe for a little bit.

"Okay'' said Jason who walked towards his door and held it wide open for Dick. Dick looked up at him and gave him a little smile which clearly was Dick saying thank you and Jason nodded his head.

The two of them set off down the hallway. 

Both not knowing that this evening was the beginning of something new, the start of change for not just one of them but for all of them.
