Chapter 22

"What do we do!?" Garroth asked panicked.

"We need warm water, towels and a bed, we need to get her on the boat." Liochant instructed. Garroth picked me up in his arms and I groaned.

"What if she can't make it to the boat?" Laurance asked.

"I can make it." I replied, grunting in the process. We all waded through the waters, and I occasionally groaned as I felt the first two contractions. We managed to board the ship without any problems, but once everyone was on, I couldn't stand up any more.

"Katelyn, Travis, we need towels, and warm water." Liochant yelled. They both nodded, running off to retrieve the items. "Laurance, blankets."

He ran off as well and Liochant, Aphmau, and Garroth helped me down to one of the beds where I laid down. "Garroth, Try to calm her down, Aphmau I need a surgical blade."

"Okay," she ran off to find a surgical blade if we even had one.

"Okay, have you felt any contractions yet?"

"Like eight!" I groaned, gripping the sides of the bed. Garroth helped prepare me for giving birth, when everything was in order Liochant ordered me to push. A scream erupted my lips as I pushed, having to stop to breath, tears were streaming down my face. Garroth gripped my arms tightly.

"You can do this, just push again," he instructed. I nodded, taking another deep breath and another scream escaped from my lips.

"I see the head!" Liochant exclaimed. "A little more (Y/N)!"

"I'm trying!" I screamed.

"Hold on stop!" Aphmau yelled. I waited a moment before I was told it was over. I took several deep breaths, and saw a baby wrapped in a blanket, Laurance cradled my child in his arms.

"Boy or girl?" I asked, panting, trying to catch my breath.

"Boy." Laurance announced.

"Do you guys have a name picked out?" Travis asked.

"We were thinking of something like Laurance Liochant Ro'Meave?" Garroth asked. Laurance looked up, surprised.

"Really?" Both of them asked. I felt another contraction which was strange. Then a surge of pain, and I let out a shaky breath.

"Is something wrong?" Katelyn asked.

"...No, I think it was just a nerve pa-" I stopped and let out another shaky breath as I felt another contraction. "I'm not done..."

"What?"

"There are twins!" Aphmau screamed excitedly.

"Okay, (Y/N) push!" Liochant yelled, getting straight back to work. I screamed again and stopped, I was feeling tired and falling asleep, Garroth grabbed my arms again.

"Stay awake! You're almost there!" He exclaimed. I shook my head, there was so much pain. "Please, try."

Slowly I nodded, and pushed until Liochant told me to stop. "It's a girl!"

I smiled tiredly as Garroth took her. "What about her? Did you have a girl name on hand?" Katelyn asked.

"Katelyn Zia Ro'Meave." Garroth smiled. A smirk appeared on Katelyn's face.

"Then she better live up to the name," she smiled, looking over Garroth's shoulder.

"Guys, maybe we should leave them to rest for now." Aphmau suggested. Laurance handed me Laurance as everyone exited, and I smiled at the cute sleeping baby.

Garroth pulled the covers over me as he cradled Katelyn close to him. "Is this okay? Two kids?" I asked, yawning.

"It's going to be hard I assume, but when we get back to Phoenix Drop were getting married, no matter the question. I want to be with you forever."

"I want to be with you forever too." I smiled, my eyes growing heavy.

"Here, hand Laurance to me, I'll lay them down in our makeshift crib and you can rest."

"Thank you," I mumbled, handing him Laurance, then almost immediately falling asleep.

I woke up the next morning to crying, and I saw Garroth, cradling both Katelyn Zia, and Laurance Liochant, trying to calm them down. I stood up from the bed and walked towards him, taking Laurance from him. "I think they might be up hungry Garroth..."

"Oh..." He nodded and we both sat back down and I fed them while Garroth and I just spoke about the wedding quietly. "I just can't believe it sometimes..."

"Believe what?"

"That I'm with you, we have two kids, were safe from any harm that might come to us... I don't know how this life became so... perfect."

"Because of that stupid test..." I whispered. Garroth shivered, like just the thought of the test brought him back.

"I was just beginning to forget... but now that you bring it up, it was at that time I knew that you were an important aspect, but I didn't know how, but you were the one to kill Shad... It's almost... Unreal."

"In a good way or bad?"

"Very good. It's just... I-"

"Can I see the babies?" Aphmau asked as she ran into the room. Both of them were asleep, currently. I had finished feeding both of them and I was very hungry. Garroth handed her Laurance and stood up, and began walking towards the door.

"Where are you going?" I asked, standing up with Katelyn.

"Just grabbing you something  to eat, I can only imagine how hungry you are-"

"I could have grabbed it-"

"It's okay, I'll be quick. Plus you're holding Laurance." I nodded, and Aphmau sat down next to me.

"So that must have been surprising, twins!" She smiled.

"You have, no idea..." I laughed. She placed a hand on my arm, smiling brighter than before.

"You and Garroth are going to be great parents, and these two are going to be great warriors-"

"Who said they were going to be warriors. My children are going to be guards. Katelyn will be greater than Katelyn the Fire Fist, and Laurance will be greater than Laurance Zvahl, second in command of Phoenix Drop... well at least he was second in command... that is until everything collided..."

"I'm back." Garroth announced, holding come porridge. I smiled as Aphmau stood.

"I'll leave you two to talk," she handed Garroth, Katelyn before leaving. He handed my my porridge and sat down.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
