Chapter 70
<—————————————>
Maggie
The girls and I swapped humored looks as the boys, who were failing so far, attempted to achieve the perfect dough.
"Why the fuck is it still sticking?" Luke growled down at it, his brows scrunched as he attempted to lift the dough from the counter.
I stifled a giggle, leaning back into the counter. At my amusement, Luke jerked a glare up to me that only increased my laughter.
"Go slow," I advised through it.
"I am going slow," he whined, raising his fingers that were covered in dough. "The flour isn't working."
Laughing, I stepped closer, grabbed his hand, and started to tear the dough from his fingers. I squeezed his hand in mine, earning the best warmth of my life when he twined our fingers together.
Just as the dough tore from under Kade's roller for the thousandth time, he cursed, then threw it to the side. It started to roll off of the island until Kimberly caught it.
He shoved a hand through his hair as he glared down at the ruined dough. "Bullshit. Nothing, but bullshit."
Kimberly chuckled, going to his side and placing the roller back down on the island. "Hey." Wrapping an arm over his waist, she nodded down at the dough. "You're doing fine. More than that, really. No one gets it perfect on their first time." His frown remained wedged in place as she pecked his lips, but it calmed his grouchy expression down significantly.
It had been four days since our confessions at the fire pit. The tensions between the boys had definitely settled a bit, which was good. It wasn't entirely okay, but it was better than what it was.
Luckily, my period had come to an end two mornings ago, as well. As abrupt as it was, Luke had made handling the pain and the discomfort seem effortless for me. Now that it was over, it also gave me more of a chance to join the activities.
Despite the cold, we went touring the town a bit, skiing, and rented snowmobiles, before heading back to the house for a homemade dinner that wasn't really homemade since we picked it up from a restaurant, and just brought it back here.
While we ate, the girls and I suggested we watch a horror movie. The boys had accepted, and sworn up and down that they would be the ones consoling us through the movies.
It was bullshit.
Not even thirty minutes in, Luke was hauling me into his lap, hiding his face in my neck, and refused to tear himself away from me, afterwards. Levi was misty eyed and fidgety from all of the jump-scares, and wouldn't leave the room by himself. Kade was hiding under his and Kimberly's blanket and had his face turned into her chest, and used the excuse of being sleepy. They all had bullshit reasoning, but the moment another jump-scare came, they all nearly gave the girls and I heart attacks from how loud they cursed. Levi even tried to run, but ended up tripping over his and Raven's blanket.
After we had our fill of laughter, the girls and I offered to switch movies. They all suggested The Lion King, but none of them would get up on their own to refill the popcorn or anything unless one of us went with them.
They were pretty fucked, to say the least.
We were all making the cinnamon rolls, now, and had separated the tasks to make it quicker. The girls and I did the mixing, and gave the rolling and assembling to the boys.
So far, their tasks weren't going too well.
Luke was still cursing the flour for causing his dough to stick to either the island top or the rolling pin. Kade was tearing the dough in half from being too rough with it out of aggravation. And Levi was getting his perfect, much to their annoyance.
Levi grinned at them both, tsking his tongue to say, "Boys, boys." He was already spreading the butter over his dough since he had finished it ages ago. "I told you, it's all about patience—"
Kade and Luke turned their glares to him, then snapped with the same malice, "Shut the fuck up, Levi!"
Levi chuckled, placing his brush down. "Bitch all you want. I'm not letting the dumbasses who couldn't learn to roll basic ass dough hurt my feelings any." Grabbing the bowl of cinnamon and brown sugar, he threw a pinch at them, a boyish smirk on. "Here. You two need a little bit of sweetness."
Luke was growling out another curse one minute, and in the next, he was grabbing the bowl of powdered sugar, then tossing it in Levi's direction. It landed on his shirt, and some of it got on Kade's sweatpants, too.
My mouth fell in shock. Kimberly and Raven grasped me by the arm to tug me back.
"Oh no," Kimberly mumbled, glancing between the three men.
Raven leaned against the opposite counter, a glass of juice that was really wine in her hand. A chuckle came from her. "Shit's about to get ugly."
Levi slammed his bowl down so hard, it made me flinch. "What the fuck is your problem?" he snapped at Luke, who showed no regret with his response, "I warned you to shut—"
Before he could finish, Levi had grabbed his bowl of icing that we had already prepared, as well as the flour, and threw them at both Kade and Luke. The leftover flour covered the ground below us until it was all a mess.
Kade glanced down at his ruined shirt, his fists clenching. "You're dead," he hissed out, slamming his roller down so hard, I thought it cracked. "You're both fucking dead."
At our laughter, all three swept their glares over us. Our amusement only worsened.
Luke narrowed his eyes at me. "Something funny, Norris?"
I shrugged, no longer even fighting my giggles. "You see me laughing, don't you?"
Darting his tongue in the corner of his cheek to stop from joining me, he nodded, and took a step closer. "Yeah?"
In a quick second, he had grabbed me. With his grip, it was impossible to go anywhere else if he didn't allow it, first.
Kade had snatched up Kimberly to my side, too, earning her laughter and struggles. When she threatened to break free, he trapped her by the back of her waist, and hauled her into his arms to stop her from leaving.
Raven was stuck in Levi, too, but she definitely wasn't fighting it. Nuzzling his face in her neck, he made sure to knock the flour on her and with their skin being pressed together, the icing got to her, quickly.
Dragging me back into him, Luke didn't stop until I was marked with the same mess he had. To top it off, he made sure to squeeze at my sides in order to nearly crumble me with laughter, too.
"Let me go, you idiot," I squeezed out past my laughter.
The raspiness of his laugh in my ear made my blood curl in satisfaction. "Still feeling like a comedian, baby?" he teased, dragging kisses along my face. His curls did the same. "Come on. Tell me what the hell's so funny—"
Before he could finish, I had grabbed the bowl of milk to my side, and without waiting, tossed it into his face.
A mischievous grin lit my face at Luke's drenched one. "That."
His face went blank, and he blinked as he attempted to process the past couple seconds. I took the chance to break free from his hold, running opposite to him until I was behind the kitchen island.
Slowly, a silly grin stretched over his face. "Fine." Shrugging to himself, he grabbed the leftover bowl of flour. I scooted even farther away, giggling over, "Don't do it." Luke shook his head, chuckling, "Nah." His long legs reached me in a matter of seconds. "You asked for it, angel."
Laughing, I grabbed the bowl of cinnamon, and ran in the opposite direction until we were chasing after one another. Behind us, flour and cinnamon were being tossed up in the air, with our laughter to follow it.
Since everyone else had joined in the food fight, I could hear their laughter just fine. From the sounds of it, they were on another side of the house, so with Luke on my heels, I rushed off in the other direction.
By the time everyone finished with the fight, we were all covered and perfect examples of disaster. It took a very cautious, and mutual truce from either side in order to rejoin each other in the disarranged kitchen.
My lungs burned from all of the laughter, as well as the activity. Luke had chased me all the way up to the second floor, and cornered me. The only way I made it out was by pretending to play into a kiss, then hitting a hard right for the exit. He caught up to me everytime, though.
Luke seemed to be replaying the story, too. He swiped his flour stained finger over my cheek, a grin on as he handed a cloth to me.
Rolling my eyes, I snatched it. "Prick." I cast a glare between all three men, next. "Just so there's no confusion: you all lost."
Levi scowled as he swiped at the icing from his eye. "Fuck that. All of you got an easy win." Raven rolled her eyes, and sunk into the chair next to me with a huff. Levi had gotten her good, too. "Sore loser."
"Hell yeah they did." Kade chuckled, using his rag to swipe at Kimberly's face, which was turnt with counterfeit anger. "We took it easy on you."
That was true. They could have easily caught up and tackled us through the house walls without much effort. Luke had gently tackled me across one of the beds upstairs, and held me there where I was smothered with lip puffing kisses, tickling matches, and now, ruined clothes.
I loved it.
My heart was beating so fast, it seemed to ache. It wasn't a bad thing. Not at all. It was a simple moment, but definitely one that I wouldn't forget.
As granny had said, this was me winning. These moments, with some of the best people in my world were me taking those pieces back. Right now, I didn't think it possible to ever question or doubt their presence again.
The boys started to clean the mess that they had started. They told us that we didn't have to help, but we did, anyway since it would only make it quicker in the end.
Luke continued to peck my lips every single time we passed one another, and it knocked me off bad, just as everything else he did. Ever so often, he would come over to my side of the island, pretending to be sweeping, but was really snatching kisses from me.
I squeezed the water out of my rag. "How about we heat up cookies, instead?"
Luke passed me a look. "Why don't we make more cinnamon rolls?"
I snorted, turning to face him. "You guys didn't make shit, but a mess." Once the words were out, he landed a kiss to my lips, then another quick one, causing my heart to crush under the weight of his. At my scowl, a big, innocent grin lit his face up. "You had icing on your lip, angel."
I smacked him in the arm with the rag, despite how fuzzy the skin felt, now. "You three are never allowed to bake in the same space, ever again."
Levi chuckled, shrugging the insult off. "Come on. Don't put me in the same category as them." The muscles in his arms strained in his sleeveless shirt as he pushed the mop under the table. "Technically, I was the victim in this situation."
"Talk shit, get hit, bitch." Kade shrugged, wiping one of the counters down. "You talk a lot of shit, so you always get hit. Simple."
Luke chuckled, situating the dust pan in place. "Exactly."
Levi scowled, and focused his attention on Raven, who was taking another sip from her glass. Displease licked at his expression, before he clamped his lips shut, shook his head, then went back to mopping.
I watched on for a moment longer, before tending to my own counter. That same tension from the reunion dinner was threatening to break through the surface, but it wasn't as intense.
While I cleaned, I stared down at my damp rag in thought, before pausing. Someone was staring holes into the back of my head, and from the thump of my pulse, I knew who.
I glanced back at Luke, who was watching me with an expression that made me feel as if I were covered in the rarest of jewels rather than icing, flour, and only god knows what else. When we caught eyes, his expression only softened even further into a delicate state. I wasn't even sure if he was aware he was smiling, but it was a dreamy sight.
It was something. Despite there being so many other hearts in the world, and in this room alone, his was the only one that could tug me into its own beautiful rhythmic pattern, and have me as satisfied as ever just by hearing one beat of it. Even without physical proof right now, I knew it was just as erratic as my own.
His smile remained, even when he turned around to finish his sweeping. My own never faltered as I stepped closer. Just as he had done, I passed it off as cleaning, but was really just wanting to be close to him.
Heat crawled up my backside, and we weren't even touching. "You look so ridiculous with this mess on you."
Luke chuckled. "You're absolutely beautiful with anything on you, Norris."
My gaze dislodged into something less controlled, and more mesmerized. My blood warmed under the skin just at his words alone. It was something he always did for me.
The more I tried to edge past the electricity he accumulated from the inside out, the more it continued to build until my vision was blurring at the corners. I didn't know of how much more I could take of him until my heart gave out.
Words couldn't grasp my full gratitude, awe, and...everything for him. Despite the situation at home, despite everything that I took as a negative and as a fault in myself...he made me forget that I believed them as that in the first place. He made me feel as if they weren't even a factor, but if I felt as if they were, then they wouldn't be taken negatively as long as he was around.
My positives were his positives and my negatives were his favorite positives. Just as him me. I wanted every part of him as mine, to cherish until he saw that they all sparkled and glittered the way I did.
While the conversation in the room continued, I broke off to cook the cookies and ice cream.
Levi and Raven were mopping up the icing that had gotten on the fridge, now, but continuously hitting the other with the mop to earn the other's laugh. Kimberly was sitting on the counter with Kade tucked in between her legs. She was trying to clean Kade's face with the rag, but getting snuck with his kisses every time she attempted to swipe the cinnamon off of him. Despite her scowl, she giggled every time, earning a bigger smile from Kade.
Just as my feet shuffled, I was tugged right back around by a set of large, familiar hands. An effortless invisible hand tugged my cheeks into the air at it.
A beautiful smile sat on Luke's face as he observed not under. "You wanna go and get cleaned up with me before the food gets done?"
I tipped my chin to him, erasing my smile with a smirk. "And, what makes you so confident that I want to share anything with you, pretty boy?"
Luke tilted his head, his eyes narrowing at my snark. His fingers looped in the hole of my jeans, yanking me over to him. "This attitude of yours, Norris. I'm sick of it."
With another squeeze, my vision tipped, and just as quickly, I was hanging upside down. Luke's hand pressed me into wide shoulders, and snatched any chance of me getting away.
"Luke," I giggled out. "Put me down."
"Fuck that." His hand stroked at my backside as he chuckled. "I gotta teach you a lesson, now." The laughter in the room earned a scowl from me and a, "Traitors."
Raven chuckled, then turned back around. "Well. This rag's long gone, now." Throwing the dirty cloth into the trash, she motioned over her shoulder for Levi. "Justin, hand me another one, please. I wanna get another counter."
I froze. So did Kimberly. And Luke. And Kade.
Oh fuck.
Raven just called Levi by another guy's name, and not just any name. Her ex's name.
Justin was the guy who Raven dated for a couple of years, back in high school. He had cheated on her with one of her best friends at the time, named Amber and Natasha. They both attempted to beat Kimberly to death because they wanted Kade, who they had been sleeping with until Kimberly came in the picture. It was all a disastrous web of crazy, sadistic bitches that everyone was somehow connected in, but I thought it had ended when their lives did.
Raven hadn't caught it, her expression as nonchalant as ever. By Levi's normal demeanor, I figured that he had missed it, too. Either that, or he was extremely well at keeping a poker face.
I wasn't sure about the last option, though. Personally, if it were Luke and I, it would result in a murder case.
If Luke called me by another girl's name, then there was no way in hell I would or could pretend as if he didn't. Hell, they'd probably be his last words before I jumped his ass, choked him out, probably sliced him into pieces, and all else. And, if I called Luke by another guy's name, then there wouldn't be a good enough poker face in the world, that was for sure.
I jerked my gaze to Kimberly, who was already staring at me with a stunned expression.
Kade and Luke stared at Levi in confusion. Kimberly caught Kade's eyes, his eyebrow raised down at her. At her shrug, he looked to Luke and I, who were just as baffled.
The room remained silent for a moment, clawing at my skin in the harshest ways possible. I wasn't sure of what to say, or if anything should be said at all.
Luke squeezed my waist to answer for me, thankfully.
"We'll be right back," I called out to the group, which Luke followed up with, "No, we won't."
Quickly, he got us up the stairs, and to our floor. I was more than glad to exit the tension downstairs.
I wasn't sure what Raven was thinking, or if she were even thinking at all. I didn't know if she had said Justin's name since she was drunk, but either way, a drunken tongue always spoke sober thoughts. Even if the thoughts weren't meant to come out in a rude manner or in the way the drunken tongue said them, the thoughts still existed in another form, no matter how badly someone denied it.
Raven was my best friend, of course, but cheating was wrong. Levi was the sweetest, and didn't deserve it if that were the case. From what Kimberly told me, Justin was a cheating, narcissistic, piece of shit. Why would she even think of exchanging Levi for him?
It wasn't my business, and it wasn't my relationship, though. I wasn't sure if Levi was keeping his temper under wraps, or if he had really missed it and was clueless. Either way, I hoped they resolved whatever was going on.
Luke pushed the door to our bedroom open with his shoulder. "Can I put you down, or are you gonna give me mouth, Norris?"
"I always give you mouth," I retorted just to prove a point.
Chuckling, he placed me down to my feet. When I was to the floor, he was tugging me back into him by my hand.
"So..." he started, bringing my hand to his lips. My emotions spiraled into a hazardous pattern as he kissed my palm. "You heard that shit downstairs, too, right?"
I glanced down at our hands. "I did."
"What are you thinking?"
I nibbled on my lip in thought. This was the most difficult part.
Levi was his best friend, so of course he would want to know if I knew something about Raven, my friend, that could potentially hurt his. Vice versa, too. If Raven did tell Kimberly and I something, I didn't know if one or the other was right to confess. It was all a mess.
I shrugged it off, and just decided on honesty, first. "Raven hasn't said anything about Justin in years, so I honestly have no idea."
Luke nodded along, his expression heavy with concentration. "I don't know how Levi missed it, but he had to. The fucker has a better hold on his temper than Kade and I, for sure, but when it comes out, everyone knows it. There's no way in hell he would've let that shit go if he did hear it."
With the way I'd seen Levi fight before, I knew that his silliness and sweetness only stretched so far, especially when it came to Raven. I remembered in high school, when Justin started to spread lies about her, and Levi had seen bruises along Raven's wrist from Justin attempting to corner her. That same week, Justin had to get surgery from how badly Levi beat him.
I remembered this fight, specifically, because I was there, cheering Levi on while he beat his ass.
I had recorded it, too, since Kimberly had missed a couple of days during her and Kade's breakup. She wasn't a fan of violence, but was just as eager to watch the video with me since she knew what Justin was putting Raven through. Raven was upset at me for instigating, but I couldn't help myself. The fucker deserved it.
Luke and I locked eyes, again. The beauty in them made my heart blossom with something heavy, and I couldn't help myself from memorizing every bit of them.
We both leaned in to kiss the other, but it was harder to break it once we started. I only did it to mumble out, "I say we just mind our business." Luke nodded in agreement, saying, "Observers?"
A sigh of relief flowed from my lips. "Observers." I glanced to the bathroom with a smile, then back to him.
Luke matched it, lifting his arms to discard of his shirt. "Let's go, baby."
Kissing my head, he undid the clasp of my bra for me while I did his jeans, and we tossed our clothes in the same pile. They were probably gone from all of the mess, today.
"You know, I really liked hiking today," I commented, following after him into the bathroom.
Luke let me pass him, shutting the door after us. I heard him snort from behind me. "How the hell did you enjoy it when I carried you half of the way?"
"Correction: you picked me up and wouldn't put me down for half of the way." I stepped in front of the shower, turning the handles to the perfect temperature. Luke liked it freezing cold, while I enjoyed the heat, so we comprised on warm. "So, I simply did what I always do."
His chuckle echoed through the room, and through my heart, too. "Which is?"
We both stepped into the spacious shower. His large frame nearly seemed to fill it, while folding over mine in in all of the most protective ways, as well.
This was one of my most favorite times of the day we shared together. It was just us, and ourselves as bare as ever, emotionally and physically. There was nothing to it, except just being the other's person.
I shrugged, my smile cocky. "Being sweet, gentle, and always, always listening to you." The strong pressured water thankfully discarded my skin of the muck, quickly.
Luke tipped his chin, a sexy grin that made my stomach whirl sprawled out over his face. "Yeah?" The spray of water drenched his hair, shading it darker as he approached me. "And you're sure that you're talking about my Maggie?" He grabbed my body wash while I did his.
"Mhm." Pulling the top back, I laughed, "And, don't you dare bring up the skiing incident, pretty boy. That accusation is still under your review of bullshit."
Luke laughed until my ears were full of melody, placing my wash to the side. "I'm still planning on getting you back for that shit."
I rolled my eyes, and stepped closer so that he could reach me with the wash. Despite where we were, the heat from being near him basked me in its intensity, and it shifted the atmosphere into a sauna. When his hands grazed my skin, a thrilling sensation ran up my backside, and never stopped.
Tension settled in the air, and that was how I knew he felt it, too. His hands held a certain firmness, yet tenderness that I couldn't avoid. I turned back around to face him, but my limbs had already turned to jelly moments ago.
My eyes dipped over his exquisite figure, as bare and as mine as ever. The beautiful carving of his v-line, the build of his toned six pack, the outline of the tattoos on his forearms, chest, and muscles. And the scar I thought most beautiful in the world, right on his throat. They all made for a flawless portrait.
Luke was already watching me, eyes hooded low with heaviness, both physically and emotionally. The water slipped down the striking features of his face, dripping down the very body that I could admire for hours on end.
His gaze dipped over my figure quickly, but that was enough to turn my world upside down, and his next words only increased that, "You're the most beautiful girl in the world, Maggie, you know that?"
The butterflies in my tummy riddled me senseless, and by the flutter of my heart, I knew some had slipped into my chest, too. I hadn't even realized how close our bodies had gotten until his cock pressed into my naval, already erect from a quick glance at me.
A soft smile wrapped my lips up as the sweetest confidence rolled in my tummy. Our eye contact didn't labor as I dropped my hand in between our bodies to confront it.
My fingers grazed the tip of his cock, and nothing had ever felt so natural until I did. A sharp, jagged breath swept away from Luke's lips, his cock jolting even deeper into my palm.
Just as I lowered it, Luke was stopping me.
His hand fell on top of mine, and his other tilted my head up so that he had my eyes. What awaited me was lust, but above all else, concern and care for me.
A shaky breath came from him as he leaned forward, planting our foreheads together. Even with the water, the skins scorched under the others.
"Maggie," he said, fingers raising to comb through my hair. I leaned right into the pleasing feeling. "Don't you dare think you have to do anything you're uncomfortable with or uncertain about. You never have to with me, or with anyone else, you hear me?"
"I know." The beat in my chest thundered even harder as I nodded. "It's okay." My thumb grazed the tip, again, causing his chest to suck in under a razor-edged sigh. "I want to. I promised I'd always tell you if I was uncomfortable or anything else."
When I tried to sleep with him after the lake-house, he refused immediately, thankfully. My mind had been so darkly rooted, and I wanted any form of a distraction I could find. He didn't want to take advantage of that, and I didn't want to know how things would have turned out if he had.
Now, though, I was surfaced and balanced, genuinely, for the first time in my life. My mind was cleared from the fog mess, and I was here. We both were.
I wanted to be connected with my soulmate in every way there was, and nothing was excluded from that. I trusted Luke with my body, my heart, me, in ways I hadn't even thought possible to achieve until him.
All I wanted was him, and I didn't want to miss a single part of him, either. Out of everything and everyone in this world, all of his were the ones I couldn't find a fault in. They were as beautiful as him, and I would never stop appreciating them.
I gazed up at Luke through my lashes, my hand to his jaw. His blues roamed mine so immensely, they nearly felt like my own. There wasn't an artist alive that could truly touch their beauty.
"It's okay," I swore, stroking his jaw. "And, so am I, and this. Right now, with you..." My smile softened. "I'm more okay than I've ever been in my entire life."
Softness carved his expression out, but in the midst, concern continued to swarm, in search of any other words that could have went unspoken by me. There was none, though, and there would never be with him.
"If you're uncomfortable or if you don't want to, though, you don't have to, either," I rushed out, nodding back at him. I smiled in reassurance. "It goes both ways."
Scoffing, his eyes fell to his cock. "Want is never a fucking problem when it comes to you, Maggie, trust me on that." Our eyes crossed before he leaned forward to have the softness of his lips on my forehead while he murmured, "I just wanna make sure that you're sure. That you know that we don't have to do a single thing that you're uncomfortable with, ever. Sex alone doesn't make what we have, and I promise you that shit, Maggie." His hand went to the side of my head. "I want you to know that you're free and have every right to do anything, say or stop anything, that you know you can trust me, trust yourself with me—"
I nodded so hard, my damp hair got stuck to my cheeks. "I trust you, Luke." I kissed his cheek, gently. "I promise you I trust you more than anything and anyone, in every single way there is, especially this."
Luke leaned back, his gaze searching mine before he gave an understanding nod. My words had reached him, from the heavy ache of appreciation and awe settled in his expression.
When he came closer, my pulse slammed even harder against my skin. A second later, I was lifted into his arms, and my back was against the shower wall.
His head tilted as he observed me over, fire lightning behind his eyes. We knew the other's body like the back of our hands, but there was something about the way he watched me.
Intensity was the most rawest part of it. Alongside it was the perfect mix of so many things, but ultimately, admiration, possessiveness, and appreciation. I had never felt as beautiful and deserving until he bestowed it in every part of me.
One hand fell between us. Heat flourished through me as his fingers detailed over my stomach at a slow rate until he got to my pussy, and of course, his finger was able to slip into my slick folds with ease.
Just as the moan rumbled from the back of my throat, he was removing that hand, and moving them to my waist, instead.
"Norris." He flicked his head at me, want ringing through his eyes. "Hold onto my shoulders for me, yeah? Tight, too."
Confused, I started to question the demand, but before I could, he was lifting me up.
It took a moment for me to make the realization. My back was against the shower wall, Luke was in between my legs, and I was figuring out why the demand was made.
"Luke, I'm gonna fall," I giggled out. "And, I'm ready." I was already wet just from being around him, so we definitely wouldn't have that problem.
Luke grasped either of the legs that were hanging off of his shoulders and found a grip. "I can't help myself, baby, you know that." Yearning burned into his gaze as he parted my thighs for himself. "I gotta taste you, again, even if it's only for a minute."
His hair tickled my skin as he raised one hand to my stomach, the spot as fiery as ever. His free hand dug into the side of my thigh as he leaned in, and began to stroke his tongue over my clit.
My head nearly cracked against the wall at the wasps of pleasure that only increased as his mouth did, eagerly lapping at and sucking at my clit. Fire erupted through my stomach, and burned in my blood until my skin was running hot, too.
"Nah." The deepness of his voice didn't help the weakness in my legs. "You know what you're supposed to be doing, Norris." The hand on my stomach fell to my ass, and squeezed. "Always fuck my face back like I know you want to, baby. I want it all from you."
My nod was weak, just as the rest of me if this continued on much longer. Him holding me was the best decision, because I couldn't do it myself, right now.
I moved my hips along to his tongue, but when the tremble of my body threatened me, Luke took the lead, digging his fingers into my hips and rocking my pussy back along his face, only increasing the friction. If he wasn't doing that, then he was moving his tongue along to a mind numbing rhythm.
A burning pressure was building in my tummy, and through it, I couldn't imagine how it could get any better.
He was right; his shoulders were my support. That, and his hair. I was probably ripping it from my grip, but if I were, he wasn't voicing it nor making me stop.
Instead, every time I tugged, it brought the vibration of his curses against the walls of my pussy, right along with my moans. "Fuck, Luke."
His groan bounced through the shower, and right through me, too. "I'm losing my fucking mind not having you wrapped around my cock, right now," he ground out, despite fighting his own argument from how fucking perfectly his mouth was moving. "I need you, Maggie."
Through myself, I managed to force a breath for good luck out. I was only a few seconds, if even that, from coming, but I needed him inside of me more than anything else.
I shoved at his shoulder with a weak hand. "Then, come on."
Luke chuckled, pressing a kiss to my swollen clit, and another to my trembling thigh. My legs were weakened just from a couple of minutes of what he gave, so thankfully, he did most of the work by lowering me.
Before I got to the ground, he tightened his hands around my thighs, and hooked them around his waist until his cock was running up and down my clit with every move made. I couldn't take the tease.
Quickly, I took the moment to situate myself against the shower wall, but Luke's next words ceased all else.
"You're so fucking sexy, Maggie," he said, appearing to be in awe as his eyes trailed over my figure. At my blush, his smile grew. His thumb trailed over my lip until the spot and everything around it was vibrant. "You're so beautiful, angel, you know that, right? If you don't, then you will now, because I'm gonna tell you every fucking day of my life. You're so goddamned beautiful, baby."
Warmth kissed my heart. "That's you," I teased, despite how hard it was to just speak, now.
Luke laughed, and I tugged him closer by his backside until we were flush together. I didn't want any space between us.
His lips brushed just below my earlobe, his voice as gentle, yet smooth and addicting as ever. "You're okay?"
I nodded. "I'm okay."
He brushed my hair behind my ear, then leaned back to kiss my forehead. "Promise?"
I laughed, softly at his concern, but took the same appreciation of it. "Promise."
We met eyes, and the tension in between them both was enough to burn a village without ever touching us. His bruised knuckles trailed my cheek, an awestruck smile painted over his face.
Slowly, he planted his forehead against mine, but before he got there, he cushioned a gentle kiss to my cheek. "You know what?"
A haze drowned my vision out. "Mhm?"
His voice was low, but just as heard, "I'll never understand how I came out to be the luckiest fucker in the world by having you as mine, Maggie Norris."
My insides turned to mush, then into something that couldn't be placed. I couldn't even produce the words of how honest that was for him instead of me. We were each others blessings.
Just as the thought passed, something nearly resembled a bomb in my chest. That was what it was, I was sure. I would have grasped it had I not been worried of Luke's reaction.
The feeling started off dangerously slow at first, but it never started off small, because it was always there when it came to Luke, just unnamed. It was physical, emotional, everything.
Luke's touches weren't making it any better. Firm, possessive hands gripped either of my thighs for dear life as he kissed along my neck with a possessive intent behind it. His lips only chose to settle when he reached the spot that left me writhing under his hold.
The shower walls seemed to blur around me as the feeling of only right took me over. One hand remained on his back, and the other went to his muscles.
I'd been fighting it for so long, a part of me grew stiff with panic at it's honesty. It's impact.
For the first time, I let it be. As I said, it'd always been there, just lurking, just building, and fighting and waiting for me to give it a name.
I glanced over Luke, and the feeling only intensified. It ran me over like a train, riding and hauling me over its tracks until I finally fell off with the truth attached.
My trembling lips parted, but a moan fell out before anything else. I tried to recollect the courage I had faked all of my life in to get the words out, but that wasn't it. It was fake for a reason.
This, though, what I felt for Luke, it was real. I needed real courage to confront the most honest, raw, and sincere thing I'd ever encountered in my life.
Luke lifted his head from my neck, his eyes glazed over with desire. They ran right into mine, either one of us seizing under the intensity of it all.
His eyes dipped to my lips, stringing along the most emotion behind it. I knew what he thought I was going to say, but that wasn't it. I wanted to say the truth, but fuck.
Over everything else, this was the one that I knew would make or break me.
"Maggie," Luke whispered out, his soft gaze moving to mine, again. "This is all about you, okay?" His eyes settled on my face, his hand following up a moment later and clasping my jaw. "I want you to do anything you want. You take and ask for anything you want. You have all control, and you always will, you hear me? You won't ever have to question that shit or anything like it with me. Ever." He cupped my chin, tilting my head back so that he could catch everything. "All of it, all of you, and all of me is yours, okay?"
My gaze softened at him, as well as the meaning behind his words. It was beautiful, and it meant the world to me. It was him reminding me that I had the very thing I thought was taken from me: my permission, my privacy, my wants and consent. I had it, and he wouldn't let me forget it.
I nodded, slowly, my smile sprouting around a bed of affection. "Okay."
Our eyes remained as linked as we were, the string so connected between us, it seemed physically visible. Just as the same feeling from earlier rid up on me, I leaned in to capture his lips to stop my own from spilling.
Luke was as ready as always, returning the kiss with a promise that nothing could ever satisfy me like they did. Our moans mixed in as my tongue parted his lips. Either one of ours chased after the others, immediately catching up to the game. We were drunk off each other.
One of my hands fell from his face to guide him inside of me. My thumb stroked at the tip, which was already dripping with pre-cum. A part of me wanted to take it down my throat this instant just to fuck with him, but we would have time for that later.
"Maggie, fuck," Luke hissed as I slipped his cock along my folds. His fingers dug into my back as he hauled me against him. "I need you, baby. On me. Right now."
I giggled at the strain in his voice, sinking down onto his cock, each inch only making me yearn for more. With his size and the time frame of our last intimate moment together, it took my body a bit longer to adjust, but I could take it.
Luke was trying his hardest to keep his eyes open, but by the flutter of his lashes, he was dazing off the moment I had him in. His muscles constricted around me, his jaw clenched down hard. I loved the sight.
Our moans blanketed over the others when my hips shifted. "Fuck." Another curse was muffled in the corner of my neck. "You always feel like heaven around my cock, angel." A kiss went to the scorching skin on my forehead, and he nodded against it, as encouraging as ever. "You've got it, baby. You've got me. You've got every fucking thing you want, you hear me?"
I nodded, roughly, my heart pounding. The vulnerable parts of me I only trusted him with made way into my next words, "Make love to me." I kissed his shoulder, softly. "Please."
Luke peered back for a full view of me, and he read me as well as all of the other times. His gaze wandered into a pool of appreciation, as well as agreement before he kissed my forehead.
One hand tightened around my waist, and the other went against the wall, right above my head. My nipples scraped against his chest, earning a shudder from either of us. The muscles in his arm constricted under the tattoos, and I nearly crumbled at the sight, alone. It was definitely one of my favorites.
I moaned as he thrusted his cock into me to its full length, hitting my most sensitive spot along the way. Then, again and again. It was slow, so full of passion and patience that it nearly felt like an out of body experience.
That same wave was now drowning me in the best way possible. I knew a way out, though. I knew the perfect escape to finally get my oxygen back, and it was the most heaviest statement I would ever let fall from my lips.
The words were at the forefront, just waiting for release.
I parted my lips to voice it, but a wave of fear washed over my tummy, one that made my lips snap shut. Fuck.
The intensity of the situation blurred my vision with tears, but I was still able to keep Luke's handsome face in my view. I would never miss it, or him, not in a lifetime.
Luke draped kisses to whatever skin he could, his touch light but so sensual. My hips matched his thrusts, continuing on until we were indulged in the other.
"Luke," I whispered, kissing the scars along his throat. "I hate you."
That was all I had for now. If I tried to say what really was printed over my heart, I would probably faint.
His chuckle rocked his chest against me as he kissed the side of my head. "I hate you more, angel."
I gave a soft smile, using my shaky hand to maintain his grip to me. Not just physically, but emotionally. If I wanted to get the words out, I knew I'd need that and more.
