Luke

Psycho had many, many definitions.

Some choose to follow one, while select few rather follow the other. But, I had my own.

It was Maggie fucking Norris.

The woman was undeniably the apple in the devils' eye. I knew she said the same about me, probably in much more odious detail.

I didn't give a shit what the girl said about me though, but it irked me that she did a favor for me. If I could even call it that. Regardless, I didn't like the idea of her having anything over me.

You never do favors for people you think of with such revulsion, not without consequence, or without expecting something in return. I didn't want anything to do with the brat, so after I sealed off this deal, that would be it. The only very thin tie we would have is our best friends.

I stared at the building for a moment longer. So, this was where the little brat worked. Moarde's Automotive.

My lips curled into a grin as I thought of all the wreckage I could havoc in a matter of seconds, but I pushed it away. I didn't want to have anything that could link us any longer; I had better things to do than argue with some chick I fucked once upon a drunk ago.

At the reminder of her soft skin, I felt my jaw lock tight before I cursed myself. The wrong head had listened, too.

It was a natural reaction, I told myself. A chick with a pair of perfect tits, and a nice ass would turn on any man. Maggie just so happened to be one, too.

I gave myself a couple of extra minutes before I got out. I left the car running behind me, since I wouldn't be gone for too long. I didn't have to worry about it being taken, either. Everyone knew better than to fuck with the mayors' trophy golden boy.

It was a nice little shop, I'd give her that. Nothing like the one I planned to open, but I couldn't compare too much.

Once I grasped the cool handle, I stepped in, and observed over my surroundings. Bigger on the inside, for sure. The tiles were clean and spotless, and sitting on top were several shapes and designs of peeling chairs against the white walls. Since I was the only customer in-shop, I stepped ahead, immediately. There the little brat was.

I crossed my arms, a snarky grin sliding across my lips as I approached her. She hadn't even noticed me yet, much to my shock. She was too busy talking to a short, chubby faced man, who was staring directly at her tits.

They were talking in hushed whispers, but I genuinely didn't give a fuck. My gaze fell to the bell right by her hand.

With a cheeky grin, my palm slammed against the golden bell until it hurt.

Her head whipped toward me, sharp green eyes widened with shock. It was a strange, but humorous sight to see her so struck.

My hand fell from the bell, but I stepped close enough to lean my elbows on the desk. "What's up, Norris?" Acknowledging her by her last name came easier than her first now, considering it annoyed the shit out of her.

Her eyes narrowed at me. "Ugh. Why are you here?" The man glared up at her, his eyes squinting. She caught his warning, then turned to me with a forced smile. "I mean, what can I do for you today?"

I propped my head on my fists, tilting my head. "No introduction? Welcome to Moarde's Automotive might better suit my needs."

I saw her hand ball into a fist. "Oh, you can shove your needs right up your—"

"Maggie!" the man rushed out, his eyes widening. "That is the mayor's son, a very respectable young man." I had to stop myself from snorting at that. "And, he has chosen to trust us with whatever need he has. Treat him with respect." His face was as red as a tomato as he glared at Maggie, who looked to be conjuring every murderous thought of me.

The girl was too fun to fuck with.

I lifted my elbows from the desk, grinning at her. Her eyes squeezed shut, before she widened her smile into one that looked as if she were posing for a mugshot.

"Welcome to Moarde's Automotive Shop," she sounded like a robot, her voice flat. "Is there anything I can do for you, Mr. Vaudest?" Involuntarily, I felt my stomach roll at my fathers' last name.

I didn't want to give her the score of the correction, so instead, I tapped my fingers against the wooden material. I met the mans' staring eyes, who I presumed to be the manager, then nodded at him. "You can leave me and Miss Norris." I let my eyes fall back to Maggie, who was glaring right into my soul.

The man nodded then scurried off in another direction. I could feel his attention wavering over the both of us, just waiting for a slip up from Maggie.

My lips drew into a smirk as I observed her over. The uniform hugged her figure so perfectly, I had to adjust my eyes back to hers before I got too caught up.

She crossed her arms at me, the accusation in her voice hanging. "So, are you going to keep eyefucking me, or are you going to tell me why you've burdened me with your presence, today?"

I blinked at the scowling woman in front of me. I shook my head, then rerouted my head back to the original plan.

The sooner I got out of here, the damn better.

I pulled the bills out of my wallet before I could hear her shit. The girl was more stubborn than me, and that was saying something.

I placed a stack of bills in front of her. "Here."

Her head tilted to the money, then to me. "You know that we fucked a year ago, right? I know that I give fantastic head, and it might have made you a little delirious, but I don't need to be paid for my talents."

She gave more than fantastic everything. She was easily the best fuck I ever had, but she'd never hear it from me. I had to push the thoughts of myself in the back of her throat away long enough to finish.

"If I was paying you for that night, I'd be paying you for ending it, angel," I chuckled. "But, it's the money for fixing the car."

She rolled her eyes, then shoved the bills back to me. "I already told you, I'm not—"

Frustration itched at my skin as I pushed them back at her. "Just take the damn money, Norris."

"Shove it up your ass, bitch."

She was such a goddamned brat. That, as well as being a smart ass was her default option.

I couldn't deny it, though, it was funny to see someone argue back. The only people who did were Kade and Levi, but they were my best friends.

Maggie Norris was simply the bestfriend of my best friends' girlfriends. Other than that dim connection, she was a stranger. A brave stranger, at that. I couldn't think of the last time someone spoke to me as disrespectfully as she did.

My fingers tightened around the edge of the wood as we glowered at one another. Neither of us broke it until my neck craned.

My head tilted to the side, the laughter tumbling right out of my throat. "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah," she responded without missing a beat.

I nodded slowly, burying my tongue in my cheek. "Yeah?" I didn't want to pull this card. It was my least favorite, but...this girl needed it.

I plastered a counterfeit grin on, then turned. Resting my elbows on the desk, I motioned toward the old chairs. "You know, the mayor might like to come and check this place out with me next time." I turned around to face her, and was met with such hatred dimmed eyes, I felt my stomach roll.

Oh well. I was more than accompanied with being hated. It was a fan club at this point.

I cocked a grin at her. "You wouldn't like your nosy little boss to know that one of his employees was the reason for a visit from the mayor, would you, Norris?"

Her eyes fell from mine, and back to the money. "Luke," she hissed. "Don't."

I bit the inside of my cheek to stop from smiling. I leaned toward her on my elbows, then scooted the money closer.

"Here's what you're going to do," I offered, smugly. "You're going to put this money in your pocket, and go and get you something nice because god knows you need it." I shrugged. "And, I'm going to walk out. Go home, and never have to see that annoying little face of yours, again, mmkay?"

Before I could catch her reaction, I turned to leave. I had enough of the girl to last a lifetime.

My fingers were on the handle before I paused. I craned my neck to see her manager, or boss, or whoever the fuck the creep was, watching me. A smirk pulled at my lips before I turned to him.

I could practically hear Maggie's sharp breath as I approached the man. I knew what she had in mind, but she'd be wrong.

The man was weird earlier, watching her tits. The little gremlin wouldn't even stand a chance with the woman, literally. He had to be in his 40s. It was obvious he was on some type of power trip, so why not remind the little pervert of who truly had the power?

He lifted his cap, then flipped it on his head. His black eyes widened before he thought he pulled his shit together. "Mr. Vaudest, what can I do for you today?"

I craned my neck at him carefully. Little whisks of hair that I knew he proudly called a mustache, yellow teeth, breath smells like fresh cigarettes and rotten flesh. And, he had the nerve to talk to Norris like that. The fuck was he thinking?

"That girl." I thumbed at Maggie, who I felt glaring right into my back. "How long has she been working here?"

His eyes fell over to her, his cheeks flushing. I wasn't sure if he thought to be embarrassed by her performance, or if he was imaging all of the ways he wished to fuck her. Either way, I felt something poke at me the longer he watched her.

Dark eyes found mine again. "Maggie?" he questioned like a fucking idiot.

"Unless her name tag was wrong, then obviously," I responded dryly.

His throat bobbed, voice nearly squeaky. "Of course not. Uh...Maggie's been here for a year, I believe." He lifted his hat, scratching at his head.

"Mhm." My fingers trailed around the tools he just had in hand, casually jumping between them. "Has she gotten a raise or any promotion during that time?"

His startled expression deepened. "Oh...uh, no," he cleared his throat. "I don't believe so, no."

I placed the wrench down, then leaned against whoever's car this was. Meeting the jumpy eyes of the creep, I tilted my head at him. "Why not?"

He shoved his hands into his pockets, his eyes falling. It was funny that he had no shame in being a little disrespectful pervert to her, but here he was now: shameful. "Well..."

I rolled my eyes. I was sick of hearing his voice. It sounded like he'd been throat-fucked, for fucks sake.

"Yeah, I don't care," I responded flatly. "But what I do care about are the people of this town." I hated how alike I sounded to my father when I said that. "And, I bet that girl you've been eye-fucking for a year has been loyal. So, here's what you're going to do."

I was speaking too fast for the idiot, I could tell. He looked like a puppy, just standing there with his eyes to the ground, cap now off and strangled in his hands as he listened.

I lifted off the car, flicking my head at him. "You're going to give her a raise. And, she'll be the one to decide the amount. Her and I are very close acquaintances." I was lying right out of my ass; the only close we'd gotten was me having her on my face. "And, she'll notify me if my requests aren't met, Mr. Wandering Eyes Who Will Get Said Eyes Ripped Out If They Even Glance At Maggie Norris's Tits Again." My lips tilted into a malicious grin at him, but he was too distraught to catch anything. He surely caught my warning, though.

"And," I added, running a hand down the scruff of my jaw. I needed to shave soon. "Give her the rest of the week off, paid."

His head raised, eyes widened with shock. It was funny to see the shaky little bitch's demeanor. "B-but she's the only—"

I rolled my eyes. "I don't care, because my requests will be met. I don't give a shit what kind of dialogue has to go on, but I expect Miss Norris to be met with as much respect as she's given this place for the past year. We clear?"

His chest was rising and falling so quickly, I let my eyes skip over it. He wanted to argue. My lips curled into a grin as he nodded. I stepped past the his frightened stature, clapping him on the back so hard, his body nearly went through the wall.

I could see black strands hanging right past the wall. I heard Maggies' footsteps retreating back to her position, but there was no use for it. I wasn't going to tell her what was said if she hadn't heard it for herself. I didn't want her to think I was helping her, because I wasn't. I was only doing it to get under her skin.

Her eyes were digging into my back as I strode toward the exit. The bell rung after I pushed the door open, but before I fully made my exit, I paused.

With a smirk, I called out, "See you never, Norris."
