Not a day went by that I didn't think of Emily and my parents, It's already been 3 months.

 After the pack heard what happened to their Alpha, Luna and Emily, they we're devastated. And so was I. Since my parents died my aunt and uncle were really there for me and Asher. They moved in with us a week after the accident and brought their little daughter, Emma. Unfortunately they're moving out right now because my aunt is pregnant and she wants a place where it's more quiet. Their 7- year-old daughter was such a cutie but sometimes she was just asking too much, like now. 

 "A boy said to me that he liked me and that we are going to be mates. What are mates?" She asked with those puppy brown eyes. She is way too cute to ignore. I hate it when I just can't ignore her cuteness. 

"Mates are like soulmates, the moon goddess made one for everyone. Your mate can also reject you but that's very unlikely because they are in love with you the second they look you in the eye." I said to her smiling. It's almost my birthday and I hope I will finally be able to find my mate. Maybe then I'll be able to move on.

 "But why is he saying we are mates, he looked in my eyes a lot of times but there wasn't anything." She said and made a sad face. 

"You and your mate both have to be eighteen, if you are eighteen and so is your mate, you can find each other." I said looking at the trees. 

 Every tree remembers me of her. Every car reminds me of them.

 "So Luna Lily is Alpha Asher's mate then?" She said. Asher became Alpha a few days after the accident. He is now Alpha for already 3 months. He didn't go to college which I thought he would. I'm a senior this year and hopefully I will graduate because I'm so done with school. 

"Yes the Luna is most of the time the Alpha's mate." I said thinking about my parents. They were such good Alpha and Luna, they would be so proud of Asher and Lily.

"I think I understand now, I hope my mate will be nice." She said giggling.

 "I hope so too." I said giving her a kiss on her head. 

"I have to go to school, see you later."

"Byeee!" She said excited. My aunt came from behind her and gave me a kiss on the cheek as a goodbye. 

"We will be gone when you come back but we'll call and you my child have to call us any now and then." She said with a sad voice. I will miss her so much but at least I can see her whenever I want.

I arrived at school a good 20 minutes later. I hate traffic sometimes, without it I would be at school in 10 minutes. But it can be a very good excuse for ditching classes. 

I walked to the front of the school and memories started coming back. I hold back the tears. 

"Hey are you okay?" I turn around and see a gorgeous boy standing in front of me. He looks kind of familiar, but I can't really place it. Maybe it's just coincidence 

 "Yeah I'm fine, just a bad memory about this place." I said still trying to hold back the tears. He looks at me with a worried expression.

"You don't really look like you're fine." He said while wiping away a tear with his finger. When he touched me I felt sparks. Wow this guy gets comfortable around us quick. 

"Hmm.. cute guy, maybe he's our mate?" Starlett said in my mind. 

"Well I don't know you should be the one to know, I still have one day before I found out who my mate is." I said to her and shut her off immediately, I don't want to blush when she is putting crazy thoughts in my mind. 

"Yeah eh my friend died here almost 3 and a half months ago." I said sad. Now I felt more tears streaming down my face. Wait, why am I telling him this?! Now he'll probably think I'm some freak. I look at him and he looks shocked and maybe a bit guilty. 

"Oh I'm sorry." He said looking at his feet. Starlett was right, he is pretty damn cute. 

"Yeah I know right?" Starlett screamed in my mind. 

"Can you please back off I'm trying to have a conversation and I don't want to make a fool of myself because of you." I said getting angry. 

"Whatever." She said and thankfully she put up her walls. 

"Hey what's your name?" I asked curious about him.

 "It's-" He said while getting interrupted by Jennifer. 

"KATTYY KATT I HAVEN'T SEE YOU IN LIKE FOREVER, I MISSED YOU!" She screamed from behind me and I laughed. She always called me that when we were younger. I turned around and was pulled into a tight hug.

 "Can't b- breathe." I tried to say. Jennifer immediately let go of me while saying sorry. 

"It was just a month, you clearly survived without me." I said with a smirk. She pouted and shook her head. 

 "Well it was very hard but are you yourself again?" She asked curious. I had changed a lot when Emily and my parents died. I didn't really saw or talked to Jennifer and Addison the last month. I tried to pick up the pieces of my broken heart and tried moving on. Well I learned moving on is never going to work but I learned how to live with the pain. 

 "Well I have to pick up my schedule and I have to search for my locker." The cute mystery guy said. He turned around and walked away. 

"Bye and good luck with your locker." I said to him. He just turned around and gave me the best smile I've ever seen. Why is it suddenly so hot in here? Oh yeah right, there's a extremely hot guy in front of me... That would increase the temperature a bit. 

"He's cute." Jennifer said looking after him. I think she won't think that in a few months, when she becomes 18 and finally knows Ethan is her mate. But I felt very angry when she said that about him. Starlett sure as hell didn't like it. 

"Mine." I growled at her. Did I just growl at my best friend because of a boy I just know for 5 minutes. She looked at me with shock. I have Alpha blood so when I growl I tend to make people scared... She started laughing at me while saying something like 'I knew it he's your mate'. I didn't really listened because I was looking at the spot where the guy stood. 

 Speaking of mates, a month ago was Addison's birthday and she found out that Mark is her mate. He was already eighteen and in a few months he's 19. They are really cute together, I mean come on he brings her to school to make sure she's safe. I wonder if he already marked her. Because last time I saw them was on Addison's birthday when they found out.

"Jesus Christ Kath I could hear that growl all over there." Addison said while walking to us and pointing to her car, a baby blue Fiat 500. She hugged me tight just as Jennifer but this time I wasn't chocked to death... 

 "Oh I know that face, you found your mate." Mark said smirking and as I was about to say something back I smelled something different. I couldn't smell Addison anymore, her smell had changed. It was still there but less intense, like it was mixed with something. 

"Addi what's that smell?" I said sniffing. Mark's smile grew wider and Addison started blushing. She pulled her hair off her right shoulder and I saw her mark, it looked like a birthmark but it were the initials Mark, MW. 

Mark marked her, haha get it? 

"You're so not funny you know that right?" Starlett asked annoyed. 

"Yep, I know but I'm still laughing." I said popping the -p. 

"So Mark you finally did it?" I said laughing. He looked very proud and smiled towards Addison, which made her blush even more. "Andd Addi when are you going to mark Mark." I added with a smirk. Females always marked their man a few weeks after the male marked them. 

 "Addi, your face is starting to get as red as your hair." Jennifer said laughing. 

 I wasn't surprised that Mark already marked her. When you find your mate there is this mating- process to combine your scent with the scent of your mate. First you find each other, obviously. Then later he has to mark you, which is a bite in the neck. Marking hurts like hell at first but then it feels nice, I know it's very weird but not for werewolves. After that you have to mate... Then after that the two scents are mixed and other werewolves are warned that you already have someone.

"Markk heee what are you doing here, you already graduated right?" Kelsey, the pack slut said with a fake voice. Ugh I hate that chick. Addison looks furious. She stepped in front of Mark and growled at her. Mark looked surprised at Addison. 

"Go away he already has a mate." Addison growled at her. By the looks of it she is really pissed.

"Oh go fuck yourself like he wants you." Kelsey growled back. She looked kind of scared and caught of guard by Addison.

Mark smiled and said. "That's not necessary she gets that from me, her mate." Kelsey's face immediately went red and she walked away. Very fast, smart girl.

My brother was so sweet to inform the principal to give me the exact same schedules as Addison and Jennifer. He is a werewolf, one of our pack so whenever we need to leave for pack reasons we mind-link him. Most of the people of our school are humans who have no idea we exist. But there still are quite some werewolves.

"I heard a new pack just moved in town." Addison said walking up to our lockers. We have our lockers next to each other. The one on my right is empty, that was Emily's once. On my left are Addison and Jennifer. I open my locker and a picture falls out. 

It's a picture of me, Emily, Addison and Jennifer at our first real party. I smile at the memory. Until I feel sparks again. Someone's hand is now resting on my shoulder. 

"Nice picture, I really didn't expect that your locker would be next to mine, such a coincidence." I turn around and there he is, sexy mystery guy. His dirty blonde hair is cut perfectly and he probably doesn't have to do anything to it because he is just perfect, his ocean blue eyes are looking right at mine. When I see him I don't feel that sad girl who lost her best friend and parents in just one night. I feel like me again, something I haven't felt in a very long time. 

"You still haven't told your name." I said smiling. He starts smirking and oh my that smile pff... Why are you doing this to me moon goddess, please just let it be my birthday I need to know if it's him. 

"My name is Blake, and yours is Kath or Katy right?" The mystery boy, eh, Blake said with a cheeky smile. My face heats up, how did he know my name? 

"No Katharina but you can call me Kath or Katy if you want to." I said with a bright smile. One that I really meant. 

"Katharina, it suits you, it's beautiful, just like you." He says and my knees almost gave up when he said my name. He had this accent I never heard in my life before... And I know quite some accents and languages.

"Ahh you guys are so cute I really hope you two are mates." Jennifer squeals excited through mind-link. I wait till he is going to look weird at Jenn but it never happend. Since when is she not secret about werewolves around people?

Wait is he a werewolf? I sniff and yes he is a werewolf, god and a Alpha to. How can I never noticed that before? 

"Because you're stupid." Starlett said trying to tease me. 

"Like I didn't know already." I said annoyed. 

"Soo, you're an Alpha?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. He gives me, again, that gorgeous smile and I melt all over again. I never felt this way with someone. God I'm being so cheesy what's happening to me?!

"Yes I am, I just moved here with my pack a few days ago." He said while putting his books in his locker. 'RINGGG.' Ugh school, I want to go back home. This is going to be an interesting day.

"Shit Jenn, Addi... We have PE right now." I said with a groan. It was thankfully our last period. Both Jennifer and Addison sighed and we walked up to the dressing rooms. 

"I hope there are some nice people in there." I said looking at my feet. We used to be with four, which is great if you have to team up in pairs or with four people. We walk into the field and I see the tree.

I saw her all over again and I forgot for awhile that I actually have a PE-class to go to. I felt a hand on my shoulder and sparks were flying through my body. That could only mean one thing, eh person, Blake. 

"Hee the teacher wanted to start but you started walking at this tree." He said looking worried. I liked that he was worried about me. Wait what am I even saying I just met him this morning... But there was just something in me saying that I had to hug him. 

"Yeah that would be me, just hug the poor guy before I take over." Starlett said excited and annoyed at the same time. 

"Well then fuck it I'm gonna do it." I said maybe a bit too confident. 

"That's my girl, make me proud." She said happily. 

So I did what I said to Starlett what I was going to do, I hugged him. I threw my arms around his neck and my face in the crook of his neck and I started crying. He put his hands around my waist. The sparks were going like crazy and so was my wolf. I pulled away and he took my face with his hands and wiped a tear away with his thumb. 

"Well that was intense, sorry for that." I said with a light chuckle. 

"It's okay I understand, is this the tree you told me about, about your friend." He said with a concerned tone in his voice. I just couldn't speak because of what just happened. Did I just hug him like that? Without feeling extremely weird about it?  

"Yes it was, Kath found her first." Jennifer said walking towards us with a sad look and red eyes. Thank you I mouthed to her. She smiled weakly back. Next to her was Addison with tears in her eyes. We all hated this spot.

 "Guys, we need to get back." Addison said with a small smile. We all walked back and I realized I would find out who my mate was, tomorrow.
