Don't you just love when an idea of yours is just smashed into the earth? That's exactly what happened the minute we reached the barrier.

I was praying that Haze couldn't walk though. Apparently the Gods didn't feel like granting me that wish because when I walked past the barrier, he walked in with me!!!

Of all days, today is the one where my mother decides to leave me alone?! She's always bugging me but not today!

"Why are you staring at me like I have 3 heads? Is my hotness blinding you?" Haze asked slyly. I swear, I'd backhand him if I could.

But I can't since apparently he's a Demi-god and everyone will get ticked off if I slap a new camper.

Then again, that's if he stays. Which I hope he doesn't. Oh gods, please let him leave!

"I'm not and you're not hot. I think the ink from your tattoos has gotten into your bloodstream," I fire back at him.

He places a hand on his chest and makes a face that tells 'how dare you offend me.' I just roll my eyes once more at his stupidity.

"Oh don't act so hurt," I say as I see Cole running up the half-blood hill.

Cole is sometimes too sweet to be related to me. We're only half siblings but he treats me like I'm his actual little sister.

"Kally!! I didn't know you were comin- wait, Haze?" Cole stops mid sentence and looks at Haze confused.

"Wait, wait, wait, you know him?!" I exclaim. Why is my life falling apart?

"Yeah, I know him Kally. We're really good friends."

"Sup Cole," Haze simply responds. This can't be happening. Cole can't be friends with Haze. Why must the gods torture me!

"Ok, well then explain how he can get past the barrier Cole!"

"Duh, he's a half-blood," Cole says. See, told you. Boys are denser than a bag of rocks.

"Well obviously Cole, but who is he the son of!" I say through clenched teeth.

"Hades," Haze says, responding for Cole.

Oh. My. Gods. I protest against any thoughts of him being cute that I had before. Those were thoughts that are gone now. Forever. You can ask Poseidon to get them from the bottom of the ocean if you want to.

"Hades?" I repeat, looking Haze up and down. I mean, it explains the biker type clothing and boots and tattoos I guess.

"Yeah. Don't worry though, you can still check me out all you want," he says, winking. I groan.

"I may be a daughter of Aphrodite but that means nothing. Don't think I'm gonna fall for you over your dumb pick-up lines."

"Got it Blonde," Haze says. I roll my eyes and start walking, well, more like storming down the hill. Cole quickly runs after me.

"He's not a bad guy Kally. He's just kinda flirty sometimes," Cole says, trying to change my mind about Haze. He's too kind hearted to be a son of the goddess of victory. He barely brags when his team wins capture the flag! Which is often if they team up with Ares kids.

"You know my opinion on boys, Cole. It's the same opinion that swayed me to become a huntress."

"I knowwwwww but maybe just give him a chance! He's pretty nice! Well, about as nice as a hades' kid can be but still!"

"I'll think about it."

Cole smiles. I roll my eyes and storm to the Artemis cabin. Since she's a sworn maiden, her cabin is mainly for us hunters of hers.

Of course though I'm normally the only one here because I live near by.

"Well look who's back!" I hear a familiar voice say. I turn and see Jason with his arm around Piper.

"Hey you two. What's up?"

"Nothing much," Jason says, smiling.

"We saw that you were back and came over! We were just with Leo and Calypso," Piper says.

Jason and Piper are one of the cutest couples here. Along with Annabeth and Percy, Hazel and Frank, Leo and Calypso, and in my opinion, Will and Nico.

"Cool. How is everyone?" I ask.

"Good! Everything's been running smoothly," Piper says. Jason nods in response.

Now, if you're thinking, "Kally, aren't you ever sad when you're around all these couples?!", you're wrong. I like seeing everyone together and happy.

I choose my life and this is how I shall live it. I don't need a man in my life, even if Cole thinks I do. I can do just fine on my own! I've done fine so far.
