three

"sakura, please tell me what's not working out," chaeyeon said. they've been in a relationship for years now and sakura wants to break up now?
"maybe we can fix it—"

"you don't understand, chaeyeon." sakura said, before letting her teary eyes meet chaeyeon's. it was obvious sakura didn't want to break up, but why?

sakura's body was shaking and she wanted to hug her but her foot didn't move. she stayed in her spot, watching her girlfriend shake.

seeing her girlfriend cry broke her heart so much.

"please, please don't do this." chaeyeon pleaded, clasping her hands together as if she's praying and bit her lip to prevent from producing tears.

"i don't want to break up with you," sakura looked at the younger with sad eyes, "but i had to do it, for us."

"am i not good enough? have you already found someone? are you playing with me the whole time?!" chaeyeon shouted, their neighbors probably hearing their arguement.

she suddenly felt her cheek sting abit.
she just got slapped by sakura.

"look, just because i'm breaking up with you doesn't mean i wanted to." sakura said as she walked out of chaeyeon's house, slamming the door close.

not forgeting to say, "maybe we aren't just meant to be."

"maybe we aren't just meant to be." she copied sakura's words as she burried her head down into her pillow that was wet from tears.

she still remembered her words. she cried again but harder, as if a sword has been stuck in her heart.

were they really not meant to be?
