Aaryan's POV

The ringing of the alarm woke me up and I opened my eyes and a big smile escaped my lips as soon I saw Rayna hugging me and I pulled her more close to me.

"Morning."I greeted and she snuggled in my arms.

"Morning."she mumbled.

"Wake up madam and why didnt you went for walking today?"I asked.

"I felt lazy."she said making me laugh.

"And..."she said but stopped mid sentence.

"And?"I asked.

"Today you will go back to your house and I have to sleep alone again."she said but didnt open her eyes.

"I will also be sleeping alone."I said.

"Are you excited to meet the kids?"she asked looking at me and I looked at her and caressed her cheek.

"For the first time I am away from them for two days.Like staying in different room is different but they never stayed away from me."I told her.

"Can we just lay here all day like this?"she asked.

"C'mon sleepyhead.Freshen up and go for walking.I will prepare some breakfast for us."I said and woke up and got down from bed and carried her in my arms.

"Aaryan what are you doing?Put me down."she screamed.

"I will take you till washroom as you are so lazy today."I said and carried her towards washroom.

I placed her on her legs and asked her to quickly get ready.

Rayna's POV

As I was waiting for the kids I noticed Nivedita aunty walking towards me.

"Hello aunty."I greeted her as I walked towards her.

"Hello Rayna.How are you?"she asked looking at my hand.

"I am fine.The pain is almost over and thanks to Aaryan."I said and somebody came and stood beside her.

"Meet her.She is Rayna,our son's girlfriend."aunty said.

Son's girlfriend.

That means he is Aaryan's dad.

"Hello uncle."I greeted him.

"Hello Rayna."

"Mommy."I heard two voices and turned around to see Piya and Surya running towards me.

"Hello."I said as I sat on my knees and hugged them.

"How are you?I missed both of you."I said.

"We also missed you mom."both of them said in unison.

I broke our hug and stood up and they were surprised to see aunty and uncle.

"Grandma.Grandpa."Piya called them.

"Hello."uncle said and picked both of them in his arms.

"So where will you go now?"uncle asked.

"I will take them to my house and Aaryan will come to pick them up by 7 p.m. in the evening."I said.

"What about your job?"aunty asked.

"I adjusted it according to their routine."I said.

"Can we drop you to your house?"aunty asked.

"Okay."I said and we were walking towards his car.

"Piya let's seat at backseat,okay?"I said and aunty looked at me.

"Okay mommy."she said and they sat in the backseat and as I was going to seat beside them I noticed that aunty was staring at me.

"What?"I asked.

"Nothing."she said and sat in the frontseat and I sat beside kids.

I think they dont have a good relation and he is not even talking with Aaryan then why does he seems so cool.

"Had lunch?"uncle's voice bought me out of my thoughts.

"Yes uncle."I said.

"Do you want something Piya and Surya?"he asked the kids.

"No."

"Pizza."

Surya and Piya said respectively.

"Okay so let's go to dominos as our Piya wants it."he said.

"We never went to dominos.This is the first time we will have it."aunty said to me.

"First time?"I asked.

"Yes."uncle said.

"For Piya we can also go to dominos."uncle said and I smiled and in ten minutes we reached infront of dominos.

We went inside and found a place and sat together.

"You give order.We dont know anything about it."uncle said but before I could say something my mobile rang.

I took out from my bag and Aaryan was calling me.

"Hello baby.Reached home?"he asked.

"Give mobile to Piya and Surya."he continued.

"Actually I am in dominos with uncle and aunty."I said and looked at them and gave them a smile.

"What?who uncle?my dad?You are with dad?Why is mom with dad?Is he saying something to you?Wait I will come there.I will not tolerate if he disrespects you.Why is he there?Why is mom with him?Maybe he forced mom.Wait I will come."he said and cut the call before I could say something.

This guy.

I looked at uncle and aunty to see them looking at me.

"Is Aaryan coming here?"aunty asked.

"Uh...yes...I mean he wants to meet you..I mean he can meet you afterwards but."

"Actually we could hear everything."uncle said and I didnt know what to say.

"You dont have to feel bad.Go and order the pizza kids like and I am happy he cares for you so much."uncle said and I gave him a smile and was leaving to give order.

"Wait."he said and took out his wallet and gave it to aunty.

"You go and give cash."he said to her.

"No..uncle..I mean."

"Nivedita go with her...It's our treat..."he said cutting me off and we both went to give order and I showed aunty the menu card.

"You order.."she said.

"Just look at it."I said and she started reading the otens on menu card.

"Oh my god!so many pizza..I used to buy pizza base and cut vegetable and make pizza...i never knew there were so many varieties."she said making me smile.

"Nothin can compare the pizza made by mom but you try this today."I said and went near her ear.

"And then you can notice their ingredients and taste while you eat then we can make it at home."I whispered in her ear making her laugh.

"Done."she said and I ordered pizza for all of us,including Aaryan.

"Mom."we heard a voice as we were going to our table.

"Dad."Piya shouted as soon as he saw Aaryan.

"Let's go and have a seat."I said before he could say something to mom and we went towards the table.

I hurridely went and sat beside kids and mom sat beside me and Aaryan has only one chair left,beside uncle.

He looked at me,then at mom and then at the chair.

Piya got down and ran towards him.

"How's my princess?"he asked as he picked her in his arms.

"Good daddy.We had so much fun with grandma and grandpa."she said and Aaryan looked at aunty and put Piya down and she came back and sat on her chair.

Then he went towards Surya and picked him up.

"How is my little boy?"

"I am a big boy daddy."he said making us laugh.

"Okay..my big boy had fun?"he asked.

"Yes daddy."he said and Aaryan placed him on his chair and looked at me and then at chair and went and sat beside uncle and I controlled my laugh.

"Are you fine?"he asked me.

"Yes."

Then he looked at mom wanting to ask something and then looked at kids.

"Wow...grandma has done your hair so nicely."he said to Piya.

"And grandpa did my hair."Surya said.

"And he told us you didnt like fruits."Piya said making us laugh.

"But he said you were good in demics."Surya said.

"Academics."uncle corrected him.

"Yes..Academics."

"He gave us so many choclates."Piya said.

"And he promised that next time he will buy lots of dolls and cars for us."Piya continued.

"We have many dolls and car in our home Piya."he said.

"And dont make it a habbit as you dont know when somebody will suddenly throw you out out of their life."he continued.

"What?"Piya asked.

"Nothing.I said we have many toys at home."he said as our order came and Aaryan divided the pieces equally among us.

"Have you washed your hand?"he asked kids and they nodded in a no.

"Let's go and.."

"I will take them."uncle said cutting him off and carried both of them in his arms and took them towards the washroom.

"What happened suddenly?"he asked aunty.

"He realized his mistake and trying to change."aunty said.

"What?He said that and you believed it?Where was he for so many years?where was he when I was struggling to manage two new born kids?where was he when each and everyday was becoming tough for me?"Aaryan said,almost shouted.

"Aaryan calm down."I said.

"How can I calm down Rayna?I remember all the days I was almost on the verge of crying as it was becoming tough to handle Surya and Piya...I know I am wrong but didnt he even think once before throwing me out with two little kids in my arms."he shouted.

"I am sorry."uncle said as he put made Piya and Surya sat on the chair.

"I am sorry."he said once again as he sat beside Aaryan.

"I realized my mistake.I was wrong to put society first and my family second."he said.

"Sorry is not enough for all the pain I have gone through."he said.

"I know that but still I am sorry."uncle said.

"What do you want?I will not leave Rayna and marry some of your friend's daughter."Aaryan said and he chuckled.

"If I wanted that I would have never met Rayna.I just want you to forgive me and accept me in your life and kid's life."he said.

"How can you change so suddenly?"Aaryan asked.

"Maybe I realized my priorities."he said.

"After so many years?"Aaryan asked.

"Better late than never."dad said.

"Can we talk while having pizza.I want to take a taste of dominos pizza so that I can see what makes it so special and try to prepare it at home."mom said making me laugh.

"Yes.It doesn't taste good when it gets cold."I said and we took a bite.

"Wow."uncle and aunty said at the same time.

"Tasty,right?"I asked and they nodded in a yes.

"Nivedita we should come here atleast once a month to have pizza."uncle said and Aaryan's eyes widened.

"Aaryan we all make mistakes.I realized my mistake and I am trying to improve.Can't you give me a chance?"he asked.

"It will take time."Aaryan said.

"I know.I dont expect you to come and hug me."he said.

"Okay.So you two stay together?"uncle asked and we looked at each other.

"No."

"Thank god."uncle said and aunty laughed.

"I told you that they dont stay together."aunty said.

"I am asking Rayna to move in with me but she said that she will move in my house after our marriage."Aaryan said.

"Good."uncle and aunty both of them said in unison.

"So when is the marriage?"aunty asked.

"We have not talked about it."I said.

"Within an hour I spent with her...I realized she is a nice girl dont loose her."uncle said to Aaryan.

"What?you are saying this?"Aaryan asked.

"Yes."uncle said but didnt speak further.

"Let's enjoy pizza."I said to cut the awkardness off and we finished the pizza silently.

After finishing pizza we decided to leave first as uncle and aunty took the kids to washroom as their hands got dirty.

"Maanav."he called.

"Monica."I said and they both looked at us.

"Sir."Maanav was shocked to see him.

"You said you have an emergency and wanted an hour off.This is your emergency?"Aaryan asked Maanav.

"I am sorry sir I lied.Anyways meet my friend Monica."Maanav introduced us and Aaryan looked at me.

"And this is my boss and his girlfriend ,Rayna."Maanav told her and she was too shocked to say anything.

"Hello."me and Aaryan greeted her.

"Hello."she greeted us.

"Okay...come to gym soon and from next time dont lie."

"Mam."Piya shouted looking at Monica and Piya and Surya ran towards her.

"Mam?"Maanav asked.

"I was their day care teacher but recently they left the day care."Monica said.

"So you and sir know each other?"Maanav asked.

"Yes."Monica said.

"Now I am feeling like a fool to introduce both of you."Maanav said but she didn't say anything.

"How are you?"Monica asked kids.

"We are fine.We miss you."Piya said.

"I also miss you both."she said as she kneeled down and hugged both of them and kissed their cheek.

"Aaryan let's go."aunty said.

"Bye."Monica bid goodbye and stood up.

"Bye mam."Piya and Surya said in unison.

"Bye sir.Bye Rayna."Maanav bid us goodbye.

"Bye and come back to gym as fast as you can."Aaryan said and we left.

"So you will go back to gym and pick the kids from Rayna's house after work ends?"mom asked.

"Yes."Aaryan said.

"You go to gym.We will drop Aaryan and kids at her house."uncle said.

"Okay.Bye mom."Aaryan bid mom goodbye.

"Bye Aaryan."uncle bid him goodbye making me laugh.

"Let mommy rest.You also rest for some time and then start your homework."Aaryan told kids and they nodded in a yes.

"Bye."he said to me and left.

Nivedita's POV

"So what should we do now?"I asked him as we dropped Rayna and kids at her place.

She insisted us to come inside but Naveen declined saying that we have another plan making me surprise as I dont know about the plan he was talking.

"I dont know."he said.

"Then why did you lie to Rayna that we had other plans?"I asked.

"I wanted to spend few hours of my day off only with you."he said making me shut my mouth.

"So what should we do?"I asked.

"Remember how after our marriage one day we went to beach and stayed till late night there?"he asked.

"Yes.I remember."

"Let's do it today."he said.

"But you have cold and you will get more cold."I said.

"Just a little cold and even if I have cold you are there na to take care of me."he said.

"I am there but I can only be with you.I cant take your pain."I said.

"Just be there by my side."he said.

"Anyways lets go."he said and started the car.

"This is wierd."I said and he looked at me.

"From sitting beside you near the beach to standing next to you in social gatherings we had a long journey and again we are back to sitting next to each other on a beach."I said and he raised his eyebrows questioning me.

"I never thought this day will come.I thought that till I die I will stand next to you in that stupid gathering and parties."I said.

"I just started living with you and you are talking about dying."he said.

"Many years has gone Naveen."I said.

"I know."

"The age has gone."I said.

"I know."

"Those age and years will never come back."I said.

"I know."

"Okay."I said.

"I know age and years have gone..but there are more days to come and I cant go back and change the past but I want to make your future beautiful."he said.

"I dont know when we will die...or who will die first but what I want to do is create beautiful memories for us till we die."he continued.

"If only you could have understood it before."I said.

"But anyways...I was not even expecting you to understand now also and as you said better late than never."I continued and he smiled.

"It's not like I dont want it...it's just that..."I was trying to speak what I was feeling but was not able to form the proper words.

"I understand.As I said earlier for all these years you kept our relation and now it's my turn."he said as we reached the beach and got down from car and walked towards the beach.

"Is Rayna good for our son?"I asked him as he held my hand and I looked at our entwined hands.

It feels odd,a good kind of odd.

"She is nice girl.As long as all of them are happy.At the end happiness is important."he said as we sat on the beach.

It's been so long since we came here.

I started making random drawings on sand and he laughed.

"You have not changed."he said.

"Maybe I was just lost."I said.

"Let's go and find sea shells and make a bracelet for Piya."I said.

"Okay.Let's go."he said and we started searching for sea shells and collected few sea shells.

"I will make bracelet for Piya."she said.

"And I will make bracelet for you."he said as he showed me the few sea shells he had hidden in his pocket making me laugh.

"I dont know what to say."I said still laughing.

"Say you will wear it."hesaid.

"I will never remove it."I said and he smiled and we walked towards the car.

"Let's have dinner outside."he suggested.

"You are not well.Let's go home and I will prepare hot khichdi for you and we can eat it with papad."I said and he smiled.

"Okay."he said as we sat in the car and drove towards home.

A silent but peaceful journey.
