The night before the wedding, Poonam was inside her room. She changed into a nightgown and stepped out of the bathroom. She glanced at the bed and sighed deeply as the things were scattered all over. 

She glanced at her wedding lehenga and smiles to herself. She picked it up and caressed it. She was touched seeing it, a tear escaped down her eyes. Someone wiped it with the tip of her finger and she looked up at the person it was Vikram. 

"ye tum laaye na?" she asked 

"mujhse zyda kaun janta hai tumhari icha ko?" he asked with a smile on his face. 

"lekin maine tumhe kabhi nahi bataya iss baare mein" she said looking into his eyes. 

He silently stared at her "humhe ek dusre ke mann ko padhne ke liye shabdo ki zaroorat nahi hai Poonam.." he said which made her fall for him again. 

She hugged him and he wrapped his hand around her back. "kaise mila tumhe? ye toh uss dry clean waale ne kho diya tha" she questioned

"khoya nahi tha.. tumhari maa ka lehenga hai ye bahut hi special hai isliye iski keemat bhi utni hai usne ise beechh diya tha kisiko aur mera naam bhi Vikram Malhotra hai ache se aata hai mujhe sabko handle karna" he replied

She looked up at him and kissed his cheek "Love you Vikram.. aaj tumne mujhe meri sabse keemti cheez mujhe di hai.. " 

He made a face "toh bas aise rukha sukha kiss dogi gaal pe?" he complained.

She smiled sheepishly "kal shaadi hai na hamari tumhe toh yahan hona bhi nahi chahiye dulha dulhan shaadi se pehle nahi milte hai" she said teasingly. 

"aur wahi rules todne mein maza aata hai.." he spoke and placed his hand on her waist pulling her even closer. There wasn't any space between the two, he brought his lips closer to her and kissed her lips passionately. She responded back with the same passion. 

Aarav comes out from under the bed with his lost toy car. He looked at them, and he closed his eyes "bache ke saamne aise waala game nahi khelte hai aapko pata nahi hai kya.." he said. 

Poonam and Vikram parted away from each other hearing his voice. Poonam was embarrassed while Vikram glared at him "kabab mein haddi... tu yaahan kab aaya?" he asked with a fake smile

"Aaru toh kabse khel raha hai yahan.." he said innocently 

"Toh mujhe dikha kyun nahi?" Vikram wondered. 

"Aaru ka toy bed ke neeche tha na.. toh wahi tha Aaru" he replied showing his car. 

Poonam glared at Vikram as Aarav will start his questions which she won't be able to answer. Vikram wanted to speak something but Poonam pushed both the boys out of the room "dono mein se kisi ki baat nahi sunni hai.. shaadi ke baad.. baatein hongi ab" she closes the door on their faces. 

Aarav eyed Vikram "Aap ki wajah se bhabhi maa Aaru se gussa ho jaati hai kaatti huh.." he walked to his room and Vikram sighed in disappointment but later a smile comes on his face as everything is the way he wanted to be. He is with his dear brother and the love of his life. He walked towards his room but stopped hearing something. 

Nitin said "Kavya.. Vikram aur Poonam ke bache honge tab Aaru ko toh humhe hi sambhalna hoga na?" 

"lekin aap jante ho Aaru sirf apne bhai aur bhabhi maa ki sunta hai.. dono apne parivar mei vyast ho jayenge phir mere Aaru ka kya hoga?" she asked with tears in her eyes. 

"ro mat Kavya.. humse jitna hoga hum sabhalenge nahi toh Aaru ko.." he said

"nahi.. Aaru paagal khane kisi bhi keemat pe nahi jayega! aur aap logo ko chinta karne ki zaroorat nahi hai jabtak Aaru thik nahi hoga main aur Poonam bache ke baare mein sochenge bhi nahi" Vikram interupetted. 

Nitin looked at him shockingly "Vikram.. ye kya kah rahe ho?" 

"sach.." he declared

Kavya eyed at him "Vikram beta.. ye bahut bada faisla hai aur maa banna ek aurat ki sabse badi punji hoti hai.. itna bada sacrifice mat maang Poonam se apne bhai ke liye" she said 

"main jitna Aaru se pyaar karta hun utna Poonam bhi karti hai chachi.. wo bhi nahi chahegi hamari wajah se Aaru ko takleef ho.. aur Aaru use bhabhi maa kehta hai wo samjhegi" Vikram said with trust on Poonam. He walked out of the room. 

He came to Aarav's room, Poonam was making him sleep. He held her hand tightly, he was looking at her Mehendi and trying to find something. "kya dundh rahe ho Aaru?" 

"Aaru ka naam nahi hai.. sirf bhai ka hai" he complained cutely. 

"wo toh mere dil mein hai na" She explain. He smiled at her and closed his eyes. 

Poonam patted his head lightly and soon he drifted into sleep. Vikram wondered if Poonam will agree to his decision. It is a big sacrifice for her but the current circumstances demand it. 

He decided to speak to her about it after the wedding as he doesn't want to put her in a dilemma and ruin her happiness. He left from there and Poonam saw him leaving. 

"ye pareshan sa kyun lag raha tha? mere room se jab gaya tab toh thik tha" she wondered. She thought of asking him after the wedding. 

On the day of the wedding, there a few rituals with Aarav need to perform without any nuisance. The elders protested as he is mentally ill and won't understand the reason behind the rituals.

Vikram looked at them "mera bhai har wo rasam karega jo uska haq hai! Warna main koi bhi rasam nahi karunga" he declared.

"Lekin beta.." the priest tried to explain.

"Dekhiye panditji.. Shaadi meri hai bhai mera hai mujhse zyada iss shaadi ka intezaar usne kiya hai I am sorry chachaji lekin mai.." he looked at Nitin

"Vikram tum sahi kah rahe ho.. Aarav karega har ek ritual jo use karni chahiye" Nitin replies with a smile on his face.

Vikram looked around and shouted "Aaru..."

He and Chintu were playing, and he comes running and stood in front of him "haa bhai..."

Vikram held his hand and said "jaise ye panditji kahenge aapko waisa karna hai thik hai? Aapne sab ache se kiya toh bahut saari chocolates dunga main"

Aarav smiled "okay."

The priest told him what to do and Aarav followed with Vikram's guidance. Aarav got up and run away from there and accidentally drops the Aarti thal.

"Are.. ye kya kar diya" the priest said

"Jaane dijiye panditji.. Nasamajh hai" Vikram said and glanced upstairs. He had moved to Poonam's room, no matter what the world says he knows his brother cares for both of them equally.

Aarav entered the room and shouted, "bhabhi maa.."

She turned and smiled "haan Aaru"

He looked at her from head to toe "aap toh bahut achi lag rahi ho.. Matching kar rahi ho bhai ke saath" he said excitedly.

"Tum toh match kar rahe ho hamare saath" she replied ruffling his hair.

Aarav forwards his hand and Poonam looked "ye kya hai Aaru?"

"Ye na Aaru ke paas kabse hai aur ye aapko dena hai" he said unknown to himself why he is giving it to her.

Poonam takes the box and opens it. There were gold earrings, she left in disbelief seeing them as she remembered Vikram told her that Aarav had bought the gift for his would-be sister-in-law a few years ago.

A smile appears on her face as there was a lot of improvement in him. "Aaru tum.."

He smiled and said "pata nahi Aaru ko aisa lagta hai jaise bahut kuch yaad nahi hai Aaru ko.. Aaru sabse alag kyun hai?" he questioned her innocently.

Poonam kissed his forehead "kyuki Aaru sabse best hai.. Aur ye bahut hi sundar hai aaj bhabhi maa yahi pehengi"

Aarav clapped hearing her, she takes off her heavy earrings and wears the one Aarav gifted her.

"Ab Aaru bhai ke paas jayega.. Dance karna hai na bahut saara" He said

"Thik hai lekin pehle khana khao.. Mujhe pata hai kuch nahi khaya hai tumne khelne mein lage hue" Poonam spoke in concern.

Aarav nodded yes, Maria comes into the room with the footplate. She feeds him with a spoon and Aarav quickly eats it. He runs out of the room and searches for Vikram. He comes to the garden and sees the horse standing there. He moves to it and caressed it "hello ghodiji... Aaru ko pata hai aap ke upar bhai baithne waale hai unhe girana mat warna Aaru aapki pitai karega"

Vikram smiled hearing his words, he looked at the relative and said "yeh hai mera samajhdar bhai..."

Aarav stared at Vikram and some flashes appears in front of his eyes. He instantly bends down and Vikram looked at him "Aaru kya kar raha hai?"

"Bhai aap mere upar pair rakhke chad jao.." he said and Vikram was shocked hearing him.

"Aaru lag jayegi tujhe.." He said

"Ohho Aaru strong hai.. Dudh bhi peeya hai aur bhabhi maa ne khana bhi khilaya hai jaldi" he replied. Vikram sighed deeply, for a moment he thought his old brother is back but reality again hits him hard.

He places his feet on top of his back and climbs on the horse. Aarav stood up and moved in front. Chintu also joined him and both of them were dancing.

Wedding Venue

Nitin and Kavya were welcoming the guests. Kavya said "pata hai aapko Aaru mein kaafi badlav aa gaya hai mujhe lagta hai jald wo pehle jaisa ho jayega"

"Yeh toh bahut hi achi baat hai Kavya.. Aaru thik ho jayega toh hum uski shaadi bhi karwa sakte hai" he said with a hope.

"Haa.. phir humne jo wada bhaiya aur bhabhi se kiya tha wo pura ho jayega" She said getting emotional.

He kept his hand on her shoulder and she smiles at him.

They heard the noise and moved out. Vikram called them and they danced with him for some time.

Aarav disappears and Vikram gets concerned. He looked around "Aaru.." he shouted

"Ohho.. bhai jaldi aao na Aaru ko aapka welcome karna hai" he said standing at the entrance of the hall.

Vikram and others looked at him surprisingly.

"Lekin tum kyun hamara welcome karoge? Ye toh tumhari bhabhi ki dost karengi na.." Vikram said

"Nahi.. Aaru karega ab Aaru bhabhi ki side hai.. Hai na bhabhi ki dost?" he asked Shruti who was standing beside him.

"Yes brother.." she shared a high-5 with him. It seems within a few hours he had developed a friendship with her or he was just following Poonam's instructions.

Vikram now gets confused with his behavior. It has been three years and he had spoken to Kavya and Nitin aggressively but with Shruti, he is friendly whom he had met just a few hours ago. He thought of taking him to the doctor once and getting certainty about his improvement.

Vikram moves and Shruti performs his Aarti. Aarav said "bhai.. Pehle paise nikalo phir andar aaoge aap"

Vikram gives him the envelope and he shares it with Shruti "bhabhi maa kehti hai share karna chhaiye.."

Shruti smiled "Aap na bahut cute ho Aaru..."

"Wo toh main hun" he replied and then steps aside so that everyone can enter inside.

He moved to the stage and sits on the decorated couch. Aarav sits beside him and questions him. Vikram takes a deep breath "Aaru.. ab teri bhabhi maa kahi nahi jayegi.. Maine kaha na"

"Promise todna nahi warna Aaru aapse baat nahi karega" he said

Vikram smiled "nahi todunga.."

The music plays and Poonam enters the hall. Aarav runs to her and demanded to hold the end of the shed of cloth. The person stepped back and he held it, he enjoyed walking with her.

Vikram couldn't let go of his eyes on her. He forwards his hand and she kept hers. He pulls her up and she placed her hands on his shoulder.

"Sochlo Poonam ab bhi waqt hai main aur Aaru bahut pareshan karenge tumhe umar bhar?" he questioned.

Poonam smiles lightly hearing his words "soch liya hai Vikram.. Jo uss din kaha tha aaj kahungi Tumhari zimmedari aajse meri hogi! Ye mera wada hai" she promised him.

He was emotional for a moment, Aarav hits his forehead "ohho aap dono phirse game khelne lag gaye.."

Poonam hides her laughter and said "Aaru hum game nahi khel rahe hai.."

"Toh jaldi se ye daalo na.." he picks up the garland and forwards it to her. She held it and Vikram took another one. They exchanged garland and Aarav clapped "woohu..."

Vikram and Poonam sat down and Aarav sat in between them for the picture.

Soon they moved to the mandap for the wedding rituals. They sat down the priest began to chant the mantras. Aarav was sitting behind them, the priest ask to tie the knot. Kavya was about to do it but Aarav pushed her away "main karunga" he shouted

Poonam looked at him "Aaru.. aise nahi karte hai"

"Lekin Aaru ko karna hai na sab" he said making a crying face.

"Karlo tum.." Vikram said and he happily tried to tie the knot but he was struggling with it. Shruti helped him and he smiled at her.

Poonam insists Nitin and Kavya perform her Kanyadaan and they got emotional with it. They performed the ritual and then VikNam (Vikram and Poonam) stood up for the wedding vows.

Aarav held the flowers in his hand and began to throw them toward them the moment they began to take the rounds. "1" he counted.

The priest chanted the mantra and Aarav sighed "jaldi karo na.. Abhi toh 6 baaki hai"

Vikram glared at him "Aaru.. chup chap khade raho" he scolded him.

"Use kyun daant rahe ho? Aaru tum gino." she said supporting him. Aarav smiled and showed his tongue to Vikram.

Finally, they completed the seven rounds and sat down in their places, Vikram picked up the mangal sutra and tied it around her neck. She had tears of happiness in her eyes. He then applied the sindoor to her hairline three times.

Aarav picked it up and applied it on his own head. Poonam glanced at him and laughed "Aaru... ye kya kar rahe ho??"

"Ohho.. maine na wo dekha na hanumanji waala show.. Unhone bhi aise lagaya tha.." he said innocently.

"Bhai ko ab kuch nahi ho sakta.." he replied and Vikram's eyes turned moist hearing him. Vikram called him closer and Aarav moved to him. Vikram pulled him into his embrace and caressed his head "jab tak tu mere saath hai mujhe kuch nhi ho sakta.. Hai na Poonam?" he asked

Poonam nodded yes. The priest was just left amazed at Aarav's intelligence.

"Dekha panditji ye hai mera bhai.. Sab samajhta hai aur aap log ise hi rasmein karne se rok rahe they.." he said.

The priest blessed the three and the wedding gets completed.
