Hiyaaa don't worry we'll get to the good stuff soon in this chapter :D !

My plane finally lands after what feels like forever, when in reality it wasn't that bad of a flight. After going through the terrible baggage claim, I'm finally catching an uber to campus.

I get in, cringing at how gross these seats seem, but I say nothing. I just keep my mouth shut, although my driver, Jessica, is really trying to make conversation. I feel somewhat bad, but I'm nervous, anxious and tired.

We finally arrive, and I feel ready. I have to be, right? I can't just tuck my tail between my legs and run back to Washington. It's not like there's anything left for you there anyway... I want to smack my subconscious, but she's right. This is what I need now, a new beginning -- a fresh start.

Jessica is kind enough to help me grab my bags from the trunk. "Have fun! My son used to go here, he loved it, in fact-"

I politely nod every so often at the talkative woman, although I'm literally supposed to be moving into my dorm.

"Um, yeah, thank you!" I squeal. Luckily, she smiles and gets back into her car. I grab all four of my suitcases, thanking myself for the fact that they're all the rolling kind. As I walk further onto campus, I take in the scenery. I'm happy that I've chosen a campus that's green, where pine trees are scattered along the grass. The buildings are brick, with ivy trickling down the sides. A small part of me finally feels excited to be here.

There are a plethora of students wondering around. Lost freshman, myself included, helicopter parents asking the student guides for help. I wonder if my parents would do that... I shake my head, and notice a boy with a handsome smile coming my way.

"Hey there, you looking for your dorm?" He asks, his brown eyes shining with energy. I smile politely.

"Um yeah, I'm in the uh," I dig my hand around in my pocket, pulling out a crumpled piece of paper. "Lucille 23A."

"Ah, Lucille is cool, great building. It's on the other side of campus though, upstairs." My jaw drops when I realize I'm going to have to trek across this entire school, then go up a flight of stairs.

"Well that's...awesome," I mutter.

"I'm Peter, Junior with Senior standing. I can help you with those bags by the way, it's kind of my job," He says with a nervous laugh, rubbing his hand through his hair.

"I'm Sara, lost and confused freshman," I attempt to joke, and although it's lame, he chuckles anyway.

"Here, let me help you," He says, taking two of my suitcases, leading us across the campus.

"So, where you from?"

"Washington. You?"

"I'm from Idaho actually."

"Oh wow, well it's nice to have an out-of-state person at my side," I say with a smile, meandering through a crowd of students. Peter laughs, telling me about how he got here. His eyes light up when he mentions something about science, and it takes me back to how I used to be about writing. I shake away the thought.

"Anyways, we're at Lucille dorms," He states, coming to a stop in front of another rusty brick building, only the bricks here are darker than the others.

"I can take it from here," I say with a smile.

"Are you sure...I mean these stairs are no friend to people with four suitcases," He says with a charming smile.

"No, I'll be fine, you've already taken me here. Thanks again by the way," I say, grabbing my bags from him, more so rolling them to me.

"Alright, you win," He puts his hands up in defeat. "And you're welcome. I hope I see you around again," He says, backing up, biting his lip nervously.

"Yeah, me too." And I actually mean it. Peter was nice enough to help me drag my stuff across the school, and was also kind enough to talk to me about his life. Maybe he'll be my first friend should I run into him again.

I look up the stairs, and groan.

I hoist my one of my suitcases up onto one stair, then another, and another. As I'm about to make it to the top, a body collides into mine. I lose my grip, and my suitcase is sent tumbling towards the bottom of the stairs, where I had started.

When I finally grab the railing to steady myself, I scowl and look up to see a guy, crossing his arms, his scowl mirroring mine. This guy, no jerk, is shockingly handsome. His jaw is strong, and he's got dark hair that's slightly curly that leans to one side, but not too much.

He's got a sleeve on his right arm, serpents, words, and other things making their way up to his chest, which is covered with a black shirt. His other arm has a quarter of a sleeve done, leaving his forearm and down untouched. I'm at a near loss for words until he opens his mouth.

"Watch where you're going," He growls venomously, as though I've stabbed his kitten right in front of him.

As I look at his eyes, they're a deep green, and seem to have no room for kindness.

"Excuse me? You just ran into me! And not to mention my suitcase," I point to the bottom of the stairs where the purple luggage remains on its side. He looks over my shoulder with nonchalance, adding to my frustration.

"Oh man, what a bummer. It also happens that it's not my fucking problem," He replies cooly, his eyes narrowing with each word. His eyes scan me from my head to my toes, making me even more mad.

I huff, and turn my back from this insanely rude jerk to get my stuff and start my trek over once again.

As I pick up my suitcase, he lights a cigarette, walking past me as if I my being is a nuisance. I gape at him, despising the way he thinks he's so cool with his tattoos and cancer stick. What a jerk! With this newfound anger, I find it just a little easier to get my luggage to the top of the stairs.

Although I'm still unnerved and agitated with that smoking jerk-wad, I notice the door is ajar. Confused, I push it open, and frown noticeably. My roommate has clearly already set up her side of the room, what with her posters covering almost every square inch of her side of the room. Her closet is a mess already, and there's a bunch of junk on her desk that sits on the edge of her bed. Great, I'm rooming with a total messy Marvin.

I roll my bags to my side where there is an empty bed, and begin my unpacking -- the part I loathe the most of any trip or vacation. Just as I'm about to put on my bedspread, a girl waltzes into the room, her black hair in a long braid down her back.

"Sara, right?" She asks, her blue eyes meeting mine. She's pretty thin, with a heavy bust and a short stature.

"Yeah, um..." I trail off, scolding myself for not paying attention to my room assignment.

"Elena," She says with a smile. Elena's eyes pierce through mine, making me uncomfortable. Her tank top is black, as are her shorts and the fishnets underneath them. At her feet are black Doc Martens. She's got a lip ring and a nose hoop. I take a mental note of just how different me and this girl are.

"I hope you don't mind that I've taken this side," She says, turning her back to reach for her phone that's plugged into the wall.

I shrug. "No not really," I mutter.

"Where are you from?" She asks, scrolling through her phone, smiling at something on the screen. I continue to make the bed.

"Washington, you?"

"Santa Cruz, originally. Now I'm here. You're a freshman, right?"

"Yeah, are you?"

"Nope. I'm a sophomore," She grins ear to ear, pointing at herself proudly. I smile politely, wanting to finish making my bed in peace.

"Would you mind if my friends stopped by to see my dorm?" She asks, still on her phone. I frown while my back is turned to her. I'm not really in the mood for her friends, and I have no idea if they'll be covered in black with piercings.

"Uh, sure," I say, not wanting to be standoffish. She grins again. "Great! Because they're outside."

I bite my lower lip to prohibit myself from speaking.

Elena prances towards the door, and opens it wide enough for three guys to walk in. I continue to put the pillows on my bed, and then fill my closet.

"Hey guys, this is my roommate Sara. Sara, these are my pimp daddies," She says, gesturing to the three guys.

Out of all of them, one with the sleeve and a quarter stands out the most. He sneers at me, and I feel overwhelmed by his angry intensity.

"Sara, this is Jake, Eli and Luke."

Jake has short brown hair, and obviously he has tattoos, but these ones are on his neck. I cringe a little, imagining letting a needle puncture my throat. He gives me a friendly smile. Next to him is Eli, who has a stud in his eyebrow, and his lip. He's got dark skin, and is undeniably attractive. Then, there's the jerk I ran into earlier.

"It's nice to meet you," I say slowly, as if entering a shark tank.

Luke snorts.

I want to throw my suitcase into his annoyingly attractive face.

Just as soon as I was introduced to the guys, they return their attention to Elena.

"So, are you still coming tonight?" Eli asks, crossing his arms. Luke is still glowering at me. I want to scream, "What are you staring at!?" Obviously I don't.

"Yeah, I'm trying to get Josie to go. Ever since the last party she's been just about done with all of the ones I've invited her to," Elena says with a laugh. I continue to fold my clothes, ignoring the people in my room.

"She's annoying as fuck anyway," Luke says from behind, his words loud and clear.

"You fucked her," Jake reminds him. I groan internally. The amount of curse words I have heard all within the time span of 30 minutes...

"Yeah, and I'd do it again," He replies, and I can only hear the smirk from behind me. I roll my eyes. These guys sound like jerks. This is the jerk squad.

I'm beginning to feel more and more awkward the more these people are in my dorm, talking about parties and their experiences.

"Sara, want to come tonight?" Elena asks, tapping my shoulder as I've set my desk up. I look up at her, then the guys behind her who are eyeing me suspiciously.

"I highly doubt that Sweatpants wants to go out into a social setting," Luke says, lifting his brows lazily. I look down at myself, oh... I really am still in my sweatpants from this morning.

"Shut up Luke," Elena says as she flips him off. "Ignore him, he's a bitter Benson. Anyways, you can come with me and we could get ready together and go," She says with a hopeful smile.

"I-I'm not sure," I say. I used to go to parties, before everything happened.

"Oh come on! We can always leave if you're having a bad time! But it's college and you are my roommate and I think we should go and have fun," She rambles on and on until I find myself nodding in order to get her to stop talking.

"Okay, I'll come," I say with my hands up. Elena gleefully jumps and turns around to the guys who have made themselves comfortable on her bed, except for Luke.

"Are you sure? You might have to put on actual clothes. You do have those, don't you?" Luke asks, a malicious smirk on his face. I start to feel the anger arise in me once again.

"Shut up! Jesus," Elena says with an exhausted look on her face. The condescending smile on his face makes me just want to bash his head into a wall.

"We're gonna go and get some alcohol. What do you drink?" Elena asks, grabbing a purse from somewhere inside her abyss of a closet.

"Um..I don't know actually."

"Okay well we'll just grab what we can," Eli says, giving me a smile. I return it to be polite, holding my breath until they all finally scramble out of the room.

I slump onto my bed, pinching the bridge of my nose.

What am I about to get myself into?
