Key Locations
Districts (Sectors):
Number zones that are cities carrying either important resources or pockets of inhabitable land unaffected by the environmental decline. High-ranking officials within Syntech are considered managers or administrators. They oversee their separate districts, having to report back to the Board. Highest ranking D.E.I.T.Y.s can have Districts for their own control. Certain Districts are built around points of importance, such as the Prison Facility in District 27.

Maladh:
One of the many new cities founded by Syntech to house refugees displaced by the catastrophe. Syntech gave control of the city to Osman IV's family in order to see it rebuilt. They started construction of the palace at the center of the city. From there, they built the city outwards, taking in those who could afford to move into their newly built kingdom. They were soon tasked with building houses for the poorer refugees. Not wanting to ruin their image, they divided the city into separate sections.

Maladh (Centre Ring):
Upon completion of the palace, the rich and powerful came to Maladh to rebuild their lives. Only these people could afford the opulent houses that encircled the palace. Once they were established, a surrounding wall was built to protect their wealth.

Maladh (Lower Ring):
Once the center ring of the city was established, Osman IV felt he was ready to welcome the poorer refugees from the surrounding area. Smaller houses were built outside the walls of the city and left available for any families that would come claim them. After only a year, construction of new houses was halted and a final wall was built to enclose the area. Large areas inside this wall were left empty allowing new refugees to construct houses of their own.

Maladh (Palace):
The first part of the city to be completed. Osman's family built the palace as a monument to their status and riches. What first started out as a simple, regal palace, has expanded into a showcase of rediscovered technologies. With the center ring of the city keeping the palace from expanding, Osman IV chose to build towards the sky.

Ruins of Dubai:
After the catastrophe, Dubai was abandoned and left to deteriorate. Without the technology and means to rebuild the mega structures, efforts were instead put into fixing smaller towns, or building new ones entirely with updated sustainable infrastructure.

Sharjah:
Sharjah is a city built on the coast of the Persian Gulf. In the early-2000s, a project was started within the city to preserve their culture and their buildings as they were in the mid-1900s. This project was carried through as a tradition throughout the generations ever since. In recent years, they have fought to maintain this preservation by pushing back against Syntech's industrialization of the world. Because of this, the town's militia has grown stronger and stronger. They have built themselves one of the strongest independent clans of the district.
Sanctuary:
Located in Norway in Tepui. The capital of Syntech and their base of operations. It is in the middle of a lake with a massive waterfall behind it. High tech in design, it is the most developed city on the planet. Equipped with highly functional defence system, dwarfed only by the Floating Fortress. (See: Floating Fortress)
Syntech Outpost:
One of the many outposts Syntech has built throughout their districts. They serve as a base of operations for local agents. Many are also equipped for training new recruits and strengthening their forces. Citizens see them as government buildings to request help from Syntech or to solve disputes in their town.
Resistance Base: (Neo-Human Coalition Base):
The main base of operations for the NHC in the main UAE district. Nabila manages the base and uses it to train new recruits for the Coalition. A small radio dish sits at the middle of the camp shielding the entire base from detection by Syntech. It is from this base that all the Neo-Human Coalition's plans are hatched from.
Xi'an:
The capital city of the Neo-Human Coalition. Its ancient walls have been upgraded and repurposed for the defence of the central city.
Chengdu:
The main defence city for the Neo-Human Coalition. Chengdu is the closest city to The Wall. It used to be one of the transportation hubs of the old world which have been repurposed to send supplies to and from Xi'an.
The Wall:
The Himalayas, now a battleground ravaged by a perpetual war. Syntech fights to grow their influence to the east, wanting control over the fertile soil that they so desperately lack. On the other side, the NHC fights to push them out, while also financing guerilla forces within Syntech territory.
Blackout Zone:
Located in Southeast Asia, the Blackout Zone is shrouded in perpetual darkness. Its affecting area is vast; covering a 2300 km radius. The flora and fauna in the Blackout Zone have adapted to the drastically changed environment. Humans have created perpetual lighting sources to keep the darkness at bay, having learned to live in the Blackout Zone. The aptly named City of Lights in Singapore houses an entertainment hub, giving the outside world the illusion that the area is flourishing.
Data Bank:
Left-over relics of the old world. They act as information hubs for the world before the Calamity. Inside, they hold various artifacts, objects, or even media. Held with extreme importance and sought after for their societal benefits. Certain Districts are built around Data Banks, mining and utilizing their important information.
The Database:
An old library/computer database built before the Cataclysm. It was used to store the knowledge and history of the world so that future generations could access it. Built in the United Arab Emirates, far south-west of the city of Maladh. Syntech has recently started looting the database and erasing any incriminating information about themselves. They have left a sentry within it to fight off any intruders and stop them from finding any further information.
Eatabah:
A small town built near a cliff side. The only landmark of note within the town is Syntech's water filtration plant. Many of the townsfolk work at the factory as the town offers little else in the way of employment. If it weren't for the water pipes leading in and out of town, most would never be able to locate the small town.
Eatabah Water Treatment Plant:
This plant was refurbished by Syntech to filter and purify the water being sent to the different towns and outposts throughout the district. Syntech offers very little maintenance to the plant, expecting the citizen to look after it alone. But as the plant aged, it became harder and harder to maintain.
District 27 Prison Factory:
This large facility stretches kilometers into the distance. It was one of the first projects started once Syntech gained control. Its main purpose was build infrastructure for the world and help bring it together again. But its purpose has changed in recent years. The factory is overseen by the watchful eye of Major K'sana Zykova. However, she has become more akin to a prison warden as her workforce has turned to prison labor rather than citizens being paid for their work. The factory is advertised as working on infrastructure for rebuilding the world. Instead, the factory primarily makes munitions, tanks, and other weaponry for Syntech to use.
Due to the factory's size, a tram system was built to move people from wing to wing. It has also become the number one way to move prisoners about the facility. The only way to escape this tram system is to fall several stories to the metal floor below.
