"This is one of the strongest spells I've encountered" Hanna says looking at Claire. "It's a very dark spell... The type Noah's old coven used to use." She said glancing at Archie. Her son pales slightly.

"Can you break it?" Elijah questions standing at the foot of the bed Claire lays on. Henrik sits by her head which is resting in his lap. His touch obviously helps sooth the pain she's in as she doesn't groan as much and her body doesn't twitch as often. However, the discomfort is still clearly expressed on her face.

"I don't know" Hanna whispers. "Without the counter curse it could take days. She doesn't have that kind of time." Elijah growls angrily.

"This has Esther written all over it." Henrik said looking at his brother.

"Claire knew she was up to something... I assume she found out and Esther shut her up." Elijah growls. "Whatever it is, it has to do with Finn as well. She was with him last night."

"You don't think Finn helped do this to her?" Henrik asked him. "He wouldn't. It's practically impossible to harm your mate."

"Practically" Elijah mutters. Henrik sighs and looks down at her. He pets her hair softly.

"Can't you read her mind? You've completed the bond right?" Archie asked pacing along side the bed.

"Esther must have thought about that.. I don't feel her. I don't feel her pain and I can't hear her thoughts." Elijah grumbles.

"But you're still a vampire" Archie tells him. "Can you enter her mind? See something that could give us a clue as to what is going on?" He asks. Elijah thinks about it.

"It might work as long as Esther hasn't blocked her mind completely." Elijah says walking over to her head. Henrik reluctantly trades places with Elijah. Elijah shifts and rests her head comfortably in his lap. He messages her head gently and tries to get inside her mind. "Come on, Elskan" He whispers quietly. "Help me understand."

Ever so slowly he manages to slip into her mind but he struggles to stay inside. Something's fighting him, trying to force him out. Elijah knew it had to be Esther and knew he had to be quick. By the time he's forced out, he had all the information he needed.

"We don't have much time." Elijah said standing up. He gently rests her head on the pillow. He bends down and kisses her forehead. "I will fix this, Elskan" He whispers for her ears only.

"What's the plan?" Henrik asks.

"Stop our dear mother from killing all of us." Elijah answers simply. He turns to Hanna. "Try and break the spell, find the antidote, anything. When we face Esther, I'll try and get it from her."

"I'll do everything I can." Hanna assures. Elijah nods before turning to Henrik. He motions for his brother to follow him. Henrik looks at Claire before leaving with his brother.

"Is there anything I can do?" Caroline speaks up.

"Keep watch over Madelyn." Hanna tells her. "Archie and I will do everything we can."

"Do you mind?" Archie asked walking over to her. Caroline shakes her head and gives him her hand. He gently siphons from her.

"If you need more, I'll be with Madelyn." Archie nods watching her leave before turning to his mother. "So, where do we start?" He asks.

"With this" Hanna says pulling out a grimoire he's never seen. "This was your fathers from his time with his old coven."

"Are you sure we should be looking through this? No Hocus Pocus shit is going to happen?" Archie asks nervously.

"First off, language. Secondly, the coven is destroyed, their all dead. The only thing we have to worry about is the allure of the spells. They have a habit of pulling in even the purest of witches. If it becomes too much, do not hesitate to leave. If I tell you to leave, listen to me and don't fight me on this. Do you understand?" Hanna asked sternly. Archie nods determined to help his sister. "Let's begin" She said opening the book.

"The pentagram represents our connection to magic" Esther explains to the two Bennett witches standing in the middle of the pentagram in the forest clearing. "The salt is a symbol of the Earth."

"The torches?" Bonnie questions eyeing Finn nervously.

"Five torches. One for each of my children." Esther explains as Finn, rather reluctantly, lights the torches.

"What's the spell you're doing?" Bonnie asks.

"As the witch who cast the spell that made them vampires, I can also reverse it. When they become human again, they can be killed. As they are linked as one, my brave Finn will be the sacrifice. With his death, will come theirs."

"And you're just willing to die?" Abby, Bonnie's mother, questions Finn.

"Willing is not the word I would use" Finn growled. Esther gives him a warning look. Finn presses his lips together and says no more.

"Leave him!" Elijah demands appearing at the top of the steps at the back of the Mystic Grill. He and Henrik had been searching for Klaus and Kol, neither of them willing to look at their phones. The moon was reaching it's apex and their time was running out. "We still need them, Niklaus." Elijah growls walking towards them, Henrik right behind him.

"What did mother do? What did she do, Elijah?" Klaus growls. Henrik walks over to Kol making sure he was alright after recently being daggered.

"You tell me where the witches are or I'll have my sister kill Elena right now." Elijah told him in a less than polite tone.

"You told me we had until after nine" Damon said feeling slightly panicked. Elijah snapped. He shoved Damon against the brick wall.

"That was before my mates life was in danger" Elijah growls. "You've wasted enough time. Find the witches, break the link. If you're delay has caused Claire to lose her life, I will kill everyone in this town." He growled before shoving him away. Damon quickly disappears.

"What are you talking about, Elijah?" Klaus asks lowly. Elijah turns to him and glances at Kol.

"Claire's been poisoned by Esther. She's under a very dark spell." He said. Kol growls and punches the brick wall. "She doesn't have much time. Esther has linked us all together. She plans to turn us human and kill Finn, who she has under her control. If Finn dies, we all do."

"How does she have Finn under her control?" Henrik questions.

"Esther was blackmailing him. He either helped her with her plan or she kills Claire. Claire found out and Esther poisons her. Esther is the only one who knows the counter curse, the antidote. I assume that's why Finn is still with her."

"So Esther, who is trying to kill us, is the only one who can save our mate" Kol rolls his eyes his anger only building.

"Hanna is working on breaking it now but it's not a guarantee. When we get to mother, distract her. I'll try to enter her mind and get the counter curse. We only have one shot and if we do this right, the only one who dies is Esther."

"I can live with that" Kol smirks.

"Henrik, return home. Try to find the linking spell mother used. The quicker we can unlink the safer we'll be" Elijah says. Henrik reluctantly nods. The brothers go their separate ways.

"No, it's too soon, the moon is not high enough" Esther whispers seeing Kol, Elijah and Klaus walking towards the pentagram. "Go! Quickly!" Esther urges the Bennett witches. "My sons, come forward." Esther welcomes.

"Claire" Finn mouths to Elijah. The sorrow in his brothers eyes is enough for Finn to understand that she's running out of time.

"Whatever you think of us, killing your own children will be an atrocity" Elijah tells Esther while subtly trying to get into her mind.

"My only regret is that I did not let you die a thousand years ago" Esther tells them.

"Enough. All this talk is boring me." Klaus rolls his eyes. "End this now, mother, or I'll send you back to Hell." Klaus threatens.

"For a thousand years, I've been forced to watch you." Esther begins to talk. She's so focused on justifying her actions, she doesn't seem to notice Elijah picking through her mind. "Felt the pain of every victim, suffered while you shed blood. Even you, Elijah, with your claim to nobility, you're no better. All of you. You're a curse on this Earth. Stretched out over generations. If you've come to plead for your life, I'm sorry, you've wasted your time."

"Got it" Elijah smirks. Esther frowns her eyebrows. Elijah turns his head to Finn. "I have the counter curse." Finn nods understanding.

"No! Sisters! Do not abandon me!" Esther screams. The brothers shield their eyes as the flames from the torches flare. When the flames burn out, Esther is gone.

"Claire" Finn whispers. Elijah is already gone. The remaining brothers race back to the mansion.

"Such a simple counter spell" Hanna whispers reading the spell off the sheet Elijah wrote it on. "Complicated curse, simple counter spell. You're mother is clever" Hanna grumbles.

"Can you do it?" Elijah asks anxiously.

"Yes" He, along with the others, sigh in relief. "Archie will need a source for power." Hanna tells them. Elijah instantly holds his hand out. Archie grabs his wrist siphoning from him.

Being siphoned from Claire and being siphoned from Archie were two completely different feelings. When Archie siphons from him, he felt the usual pain and discomfort one would feel from a Siphoner. However, with Claire, it's pleasurable.

Archie and Hanna do the spell. They repeat it multiple times. Each time Claire's heart rate slows to a more normal pace, her skin tone lightens, her face and body relax. When their done, Archie lets go of Elijah leaving the Original very thirsty. Caroline hands him a blood bag. She knew he'd be thirsty because she was always thirsty after Claire siphoned from her.

"She's exhausted. It'll take a while for her to wake but she'll be alright." Hanna tells them.

"Thank you" Klaus says sincerely.

"You're not the only ones who care about her" Hanna reminds him. "Let me know when she wakes." She tells no one in particular before leaving with Archie. Kol is in the bed with her before any of his brothers could blink. He wraps his body around her, resting his head on her chest. Elijah lays on the other side of her close enough for their legs to press against each other. He could do much more with Kol hogging most of her.

Henrik grabs a seat from the living room and brings it into the room where Claire is. He sits on Elijah's side. Klaus does the same but sits on Kol's side. Finn watches her from the foot of the bed. The guilt is eating him alive.

He took the blame for her condition. If he hadn't given in, if he kept Claire ignorant, she wouldn't be like this. He felt helpless, useless. He felt undeserving of her.

"This isn't your fault" Elijah says as Caroline slips out of the room. "Mother didn't give you a choice."

"I still feel responsible" Finn mutters, his eyes glued on Claire.

"Don't" Klaus tells him. "Mother is clever. Even if she came to one of us instead of you, Claire still would have ended up like this." Klaus whispers.

"How is she?" Rebekah asks softly as she and Asher enter the room.

"Hanna says she'll be fine, she just needs rest." Elijah tells her. Asher steps away from Rebekah for a moment. He looks at Claire feeling anxious. Rebekah moves in front of Asher. She leans against his body kissing his neck to calm his anxiety.

"You heard Elijah, she's fine." Rebekah comforts. Asher holds onto Rebekah tightly. Rebekah cuddles into his grip. She then looks at Klaus.

"There's something you need to see" She whispers. Klaus looks away from Claire and at Rebekah. His sister turns in Asher's arms to pull out her phone. Klaus stands and walks over to his siste.

"Come to brag about your skills as a torturer?" He asks as Rebekah plays a video.

"Look at the images on the wall behind Elena" Rebekah said ignore his little comment. "The Natives told the story of our family history, look at the images on the far wall."

Interested, both Henrik and Elijah move towards their sister. They find a spot to look at the phone.

"What is it?" Henrik asks.

"A native worshiping at the Great White Oak tree." Rebekah explains.

"And? We burned that tree to the ground" Klaus tells her.

"Look at the markings that precede it. That's the native calendar" She tells him.

"This can't be right" Elijah frowns his eyebrows.

"A White Oak tree, three hundred years after we fled back to the Old World. There must have been a sapling, a new tree to replace the old. That tree could kill us. It's not over"
