*Chapter Eleven*
"Thank you so much for doing this for me Bonnie" Claire said for like the millionth time that day.
"Claire, it's fine" Bonnie said smiling at her. "But we don't have all day, I have a date tonight" She said smiling.
"Oh, really?" Claire asked smiling feeling like she was in the best mood. "With sexy, washed up jock, bartender?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows. Bonnie nodded excitedly.
"Yep, but I made a promise that I was going to help you today so here we are" Bonnie said and Claire smiled at her. "Please don't thank me again" She added quickly. Claire laughed and nodded. "Get comfortable, I'll go grab some of her books." Claire nodded and sat on the couch.
Bonnie came back with a few different books. They were history books, history for the supernatural. Claire couldn't help but to feel excited.
"So, any idea of what exactly we're looking for?" Bonnie asked. Claire sighed slightly disappointed.
"I have no idea" She muttered. Bonnie sighed.
"Well, we better just start looking... See what we can find" Claire nodded and started flipping through the pages. As time went on and they got nowhere, Claire could feel herself growing impatient and disappointed.
"It has to be somewhere in these book!" Claire snapped causing Bonnie to jump slightly. Claire pushed herself off of the couch and started to pace.
"Baby, just relax. We'll find it." Bonnie said.
"You don't understand, Bonnie" Claire snapped. "I need him here with me. I feel, empty without him." She whispered. "It's like the need to have him around just amplified when he held my hand. When he whispered in my ear" She tucked some hair behind her ear. "And now he's somewhere, God knows where, probably trapped and we can't find a way to bring him here!" She shouted.
"Claire, relax" Bonnie asked trying to calm her down.
However, Claire was too far in her head. Her stress levels rising as she paced faster. She muttered to herself. She felt like she was letting ghost boy down by not having him here. She knew that he didn't want to be wherever he was trapped and she knew it was up to her to get him out.
"Claire!" Bonnie shouted coming in front of her. Claire looked at her startled.
"What if we can't bring him here?" Claire whimpered. Bonnie sighed realizing just how important this was to her. "I've been seeing this boy for years, Bonnie. He's been waiting on me for years" A few tears fall down her cheeks.
"Oh, Baby" Bonnie whispered hugging her. Claire hugged her back, crying on her shoulder. Bonnie rubbed her back soothingly.
Then, Bonnie tenses. She gets that feeling she got when she was at the seance before Emily took her body. It started off light but it quickly escalated to extremely pain. Bonnie whimpers before she cries out.
Claire tightens her hold on Bonnie as the with tries to get out of her grip. She's not thinking straight. She can feel the same feeling she got during the seance. The feeling of power. The feeling of being complete. The feeling of finally of being... full. Now she knew it was coming from Bonnie and her instinct was to hold onto Bonnie tighter and to keep doing whatever she was doing.
"Claire, please!" Bonnie screams as Shelia walks into the house. She races into the living room and sees what's going on. Her eyes widened.
"Claire Forbes you let my granddaughter go right now!" Shelia shouted finally snapping Claire out of her daze. She quickly lets Bonnie go and stumbles backwards. Bonnie falls to her knees feeling extremely weak.
"Oh my God" Claire whimpers covering her mouth. Did I do that? Claire thinks to herself in horror.
"What were you thinking?! You could have killed her!" Shelia shouts. "Get out of my house! And you stay away from my granddaughter! Don't ever come near her again you freak! You're an abomination! I don't ever want you in this house again!" Claire whimpers not understanding what was going on.
"Please, I'm so sorry" Claire cries taking a step forwards but Shelia sends her an aneurysm. Not an extremely strong one, just one to make sure she keeps her distance. Claire cries out, holding her head and stumbles backwards.
"Out! Get out of my house!" Shelia snaps forcing Claire to leave. Claire sobs as Shelia slams the door in her face.
"Angel?" Claire whips around at the sound of ghost boys voice. She looks at him feeling an odd sense of relief. He's standing in the middle of the lawn and she races to him, as fast as she can. He meets her half way and pulls her into a tight hug.
She continues to cry, a mixture of sorrow yet happiness. He holds her tightly in his arms. Savoring the feeling before he loses it. He kisses her on top of her head tenderly.
"It's alright, shh" He whispers comfortingly. He rubs her back slowly. "I'm here, now, I'm here" He whispers kissing her head again.
"For how long?" She asks dreading the answer. She looks up and their eyes connect.
"Not nearly long enough, my darling Angel" He whispers. He lifts his hand to her cheek and caresses it softly. "You're so beautiful" He mutters.
"What's your name?" She asks. He smiles at her.
"Henrik" He answers her. "Henrik Mikaelson"
"How are you here? What did I do to bring you here?" She asked.
"I don't have much time but I'll explain as quickly as I can" She nods giving him her full attention, not that he never not had it. "You're what they call a Siphoner in the supernatural world. You're a witch but you can't make your own magic. What you did to Bonnie was take her magic, had you held on long enough she would have potentially killed her." Claire gasps as more tears fall from her face. Henrik's expression falls as he quickly tries to comfort her. "But you didn't, she's fine and she's going to be fine" He reassured her. He wipes away her tears. "God I hate watching you cry" He whispers kissing her forehead.
"How does this help me see you?" She asked looking at him.
"Ever since you were born, we've been connected. Our souls were connected... I'm not alive, Angel." He tells her hesitantly. "Back in the tenth century, I was killed as a boy. I had just tapped into my own magic before I died and I was sent to a place called the Other Side. I was fading because of how young I was and because I had just tapped into my magic when I died. But then you were born and you kept me from fading, you kept me from disappearing" He said smiling at her. "As you grew, so did I. I was only eleven when I died but you not only kept me from fading but the magic of our connection helped me grow to who I am now."
"How can I bring you back?" She asked him desperately.
"I don't know... I do know it's going to take a lot of power and a very strong spell. Something that strong could kill you, my Angel" He said caressing her face.
"I want you here, with me" She whispered.
"You have no Idea how much I wish I could stay by your side" He said grabbing her face with both his hands. "To be there for you, to be able to touch you when I want, to talk to you when I want, to protect you. But I can't and I know you'll find a way to bring me back. I trust you. But promise me you will not put your life in danger for my sake."
"Henrik" She whimpered.
"Promise me" He said sternly. "I couldn't bare it if you got hurt because of me. It's already torture watching you from the Other Side and not be able to do anything. To not be able to comfort you, to be there for you. Promise me" He whispered.
"I promise" He smiled at her. "Why does I feel like this? Why do I want you here so badly? I feel like I've known you my whole life. That I can trust you. That you're the one I want the most."
"Didn't you hear me, my Angel?" He asked tucking some of her hair behind her ear. "Our souls intertwined on the day of your birth. We're soulmates. We were designed for each other. I'm not your only one."
"What do you mean you're not the only one? Who else is out there?" She asked.
"We're running out of time, Angel" He told her softly.
"No! Please, don't leave me" She begged. "I need you with me." She gripped onto him tightly but she could feel him slowly being taken from her.
"Calm down, Angel, I'm always with you. You won't see me but I'm here, I promise I will never leave you" He reassured. "You will find a way to bring me back, I know you will and I will wait however long it takes. Just don't hurt yourself, don't put yourself in danger and don't hurt your friends." He said knowing she would never forgive herself if she hurt Bonnie again.
"Please stay" She begged.
"I wish I could" He whispered kissing her forehead and then he was gone. Claire whimpered holding her stomach tightly as she felt tears racing down her face.
Claire looks back at Sheila's house, sobbing quietly to herself. She makes her way home feeling absolutely exhausted by the time she got there. She wasn't surprised when she had the house to herself, she simply went up to her room and laid in bed.

Dear Diary,
I don't even know how to describe today... I hurt my best friend, I could have killed her. Seeing Bonnie on the ground in pain, knowing I was the one who caused it, broke my heart. Then Sheila was furious, I don't blame her. She hates me now, I'm sure. She called me an abomination, a freak. I didn't mean to hurt Bonnie, I didn't mean to hold on for so long. I didn't even know what I was doing.
Apparently I'm a Siphoner. I can't make my own magic so I have to steal from others. It's how I am able to see Henrik, ghost boy. I saw him, I talked to him, I hugged him. He was there longer than last time because I had more magic this time but when it was out, he disappeared. He told me about a Siphoner. He also told me about us being soulmates. He said our souls were intertwined and that he wasn't my only one. Did he mean his siblings were also my soulmates? The ones I dream about? I don't know. I don't really understand any of this and it all completely terrifies me.
What terrifies me the most isn't the fact that I hurt Bonnie but the fact that I want to do it again. I want her power, I want to feel... full again. Without the magic, I feel empty and I don't like it. But I'd rather be empty than ever hurt Bonnie again.
