Hush My Dear

Aziraphale breathed in the scent of a fresh book. It was perfect for late night reading. That was the angel's main intention. Crowley's main intention was to get some well deserved sleep.

He urged the angel to at least share a bed with him as he slept. He didn't mind Aziraphale having a lamp on as he slept. The most important thing to him was that his angel was right beside him.

"Goodnight, Aziraphale."

Crowley directed his gaze to the angel. Aziraphale kissed Crowley's forehead and whispered, "Goodnight dear, sleep well."

After that Crowley finally settled, drifting off into a deep sleep. It didn't take long for him to find himself dreaming. Everything felt so real to him.

There was something about plush white clouds that relaxed Crowley. He was an angel again. He could feel the cool air of Heaven against his wings. It was so open. This was Crowley's Heaven, his old home, the one he missed so dearly.

Of course Heaven wasn't like that now. Heaven was much different. Don't spoil Crowley's dream though.

Crowley couldn't help but smile the moment he saw Aziraphale laughing amongst other principalities. He loved seeing his angel so happy. He knew that his angel noticed him. Something about the way that Aziraphale smiled at him and waved a little. Crowley could have swore he saw the angel give a little wiggle.

Crowley began to walk over towards Aziraphale. He was so tempting, especially since he kept smiling at Crowley.

He didn't expect to begin to fall through the clouds. He began to burn. He couldn't help but spread his wings, but it was hopeless. Those caught fire in time.

He found himself vaguely sauntering downwards into a pool of sulfur. His lungs were burning and he quickly realized his halo was shattered.

He fell again. Things were feeling so good. It still felt so real.

Soon the smell of burning sulfur became the smell of burning paper. Crowley knew the feeling of the place was too good to be hell. Some deep feeling in his chest let him know that it was Aziraphale's bookshop.

He didn't want to look up, but he knew he had to. There was something different about this time in the burning bookshop. An angel was calling out for Crowley.

"Aziraphale! I'm coming Aziraphale!"

The demon quickly got up from laying on the floor. He sprinted towards where Aziraphale was calling out for him.

It was too late though. The angel was trapped under a burning bookshelf. It was only a few seconds before his angel went up in smoke.

"Crowley, dear. Wake up."

The demon's eyes fluttered open. He found himself staring Aziraphale, who was now brushing tears from his cheeks.

Crowley hugged the angel and cried, "A-Aziraphale I lost you! I lost you!"

Aziraphale pressed the demon's face to his chest. Crowley sniffled and sobbed, "Don't you ever get far from me angel."

Aziraphale rubbed Crowley's back and said, "You just had a bad nightmare Crowley. It's alright. I'm right here."

"Yeah, just a bad dream. It wasn't all just a bad dream Aziraphale."

Aziraphale titled Crowley's chin up. His blue eyes met the demon's yellow ones.

"I'm still here Crowley, and you're still here. Everything is okay."

Aziraphale wiped his thumb across Crowley's left cheek. Crowley's eyes dialated as a bright halo lit up behind Aziraphale's head.

"Your halo turned on Aziraphale."

The angel smiled and said, "Yeah, that happens when I love something. I love you Crowley, and I promise I'll always be here."
