Luna groaned out in frustration, smacking the steering wheel with both hands before wincing at the pain in her palms.

"You have got to be kidding me."

The girl had been on the way home after watching tryouts when her car had decided to spontaneously break down in the midst of her journey. Luckily, Luna had managed to pull over to the side of the road just in time for the engine to come to a spluttering halt. Being hit by another car didn't really seem too appealing, and she was glad to have made it to the lay-by in time.

Breaking down really didn't help the fact she was already late enough to her appointment as it was. Staying behind for tryouts had already been a risk of missing the weekly session and being deserted in the middle of Beacon Hills only added to her list of troubles.

Truly, Luna didn't really understand why she continued going to her appointments anymore. She had learnt a while back that a psychiatrist wouldn't help her with how she was feeling, especially when she didn't even know how she was feeling. As far as the blonde was concerned, she had gotten over what had happened a fair amount of time ago. Or, she had simply gotten good at pushing it to the back of her mind and ignoring it. Not for three months had a tear been shed and Luna didn't plan on breaking that record,
any time soon.

People dealt with sadness and loss in a plethora of different ways. Some cried endlessly, others went into denial, few isolated themselves. A lot of those who dealt with it pretended they were over the situation, whilst a lot of people got incredibly angry.

Luna had gone from crying, which only made matters worse, to getting angry which got her kicked out of one of her many schools. After those two phases, the blonde girl simply became a member of the many humans who acted as though they were over it. She became was one of those who sucked up their problems and dealt with them deep inside, so that others wouldn't have to. She didn't want anyone to see her pain anymore, no one had ever understood it and she was sure that no one ever would. She was done with people pitying her, getting bored of her whirlwind of emotions, pretending they cared when they really didn't. Luna was bored of it all so she sucked it up.

Luna was the type of person to pretend that she had no problems, simply for everyone else's sake. For her family's sake, she made out that she was okay and threw away her sadness and grief, and for old friends sake she hid it with a mask.

Luna Thomas was always one to run away from her problems, but always with other people in mind.

The numerous therapy sessions she had attended other the months had only managed to make her feel much worse, which she did not enjoy in the slightest. The girl knew she had to remain strong and refused to show any weakness, not wanting to feel the same pain that she had felt since it happened. It seemed that she had erased as many memories from her mind as possible, simply in order to make it easier on herself. This way, Luna woke up each morning and the pain wasn't so bad.

The blonde was a huge fan of ignoring the problem until it went away - she always had been and always would be. It was far simpler to forget her issues and troubled past, it was so much simpler.

Luna had merely attempted to proceed as normal and had succeeded until that morning. Being alone on such an occasion had made her heart quiver, broken down her walls ever so slightly. It was a major set back to her system but she knew she couldn't dwell on it, she wouldn't dwell on it. The teen didn't have time to dwell on the past, only look to the future. Luna was the only thing keeping her family from crumbling at the seams even more than it already had.

Her routine was the only thing that kept herself from falling apart.

Truth be told, Luna only went to these sessions to please her parents. At first, they had wanted to help and the girl obliged for their sake. Although, she couldn't help but feel as though they were the ones who needed the help and not her. Getting their daughter some help gave them a form of closure and it was an odd circumstance, in Luna's opinion.

"Screw everything." She muttered under her breath as she swung her car door open and hopped out, feeling utterly hopeless in the middle of Beacon Hills.

Inspecting her simple Mini Cooper, Luna frowned. The girl had never been too good with cars but she would have had the initiative to know if something specifically was wrong with it. The vehicle had just given up on her for no particular reason, as good as dead. There was no smoke, noises or dents. The gas was marked over half way and the tires were intact. It seemed as though her car had just died for nothing, it was in perfect condition.

Perhaps it was just sick of driving her places?

A pout formed on her plump lips as she adjusted her skirt, pulling it down slightly. Luna pinched her neck and bit down hardly on her lip as she started to stress out, pacing back and forth. She would have been lying if she had said she had the slightest idea of what to do in the currently terrible situation. Her car was dead, her parents weren't home and Allison didn't have a car to pick her up even if she asked. The brunettes was dropped at school by her father - how convenient. Luna was now deserted and late to see her therapist: wonderful.

Stomping her foot like a pathetic child, the petit girl glared daggers at her car. It certainly was not her friend at that moment, anything but. All that Luna had ever done was care for the machinery. She washed it, polished it, loved it and this was how it repaid her.

Luna had few possible options. One was to call a garage repairs or a tow truck to get her out of the mess she was in, but the girl felt too embarrassed to do that considering there wasn't even anything wrong with the vehicle. It was too much hassle and she didn't want to go through it, seeing as she was stressed enough as it was. Dealing with payments for fixing her car would only be another weight upon her shoulders.

The blonde was all too aware that she needed to ring and cancel her appointment but honestly, she didn't have the guts to. If her parents found out that she had cancelled and not shown up, they would kill her. Luna needed to go to that session. She had no choice.

With a groan, she kicked at the dirt beneath her feet. The small rocks cascaded across the ground and stuck to the souls of her heals, causing her to stumble in her step. The swift push of air made a small hurricane of dust around her ankles and stained the sides of her shoes, causing Luna to let out another groan. They just so happened to be her favourite pair and now they were ruined, just like her entire day. It would certainly be one to remember, that was for sure.

The girl cursed to herself and yanked the hair tie from her pony tail. She ran a forceful hand through her, now free, hair and pinched the bridge of her nose. Why was this happening?

Crossing her arms, she puckered her lips and eventually sussed out what she was going to do, making a semi decent plan on the spot. The second option, and only idea she had left, consisted of either hitch hiking or walking back to her home. But, seeing as she didn't want to get in a car with a stranger and wind up getting kidnapped or murdered, Luna decided on the latter. She could get her car towed the next morning and walk to school, so it didn't matter too much if she left it, she just hoped no one tried to hijack it in the mean time.

Sighing, Luna locked her car door and threw her keys in her bag. She gripped it to her shoulder and swivelled around on her heels, starting to walk in any random direction, deeply hoping that it would bring her to where she wanted to go.

   Peachy.
