Apple Bloom's POV
Monday, September 3rd. 6:45 AM.
I woke up sprawled across my bed, the cozy pillow enveloping my face in warmth until a persistent voice shattered my morning peace.
"APPPPPPLEEEE BLOOOM!" The call was insistent, and I instinctively buried my face deeper into the pillow as if to escape the intrusion.
"APPLE BLOOOOM!" The voice grew more urgent, accompanied by a vigorous shake that sent me tumbling off the bed with a resounding thud.
*THHHHUMPPPP*
Okay, that hurts as hell.... The impact left me wincing in pain, a sharp reminder of the unceremonious wake-up call.
"What?! Ouch, that really hurt!!" My response was laced with a coldness born of my disdain for early mornings, a trait that clashed with my generally amiable nature. I usually like mornings, especially when there's something to look forward to, but school days? Not really. Nevertheless, I kept my head up straight with a positive attitude.
My eyes fluttered open to meet the sight of my sister, Applejack, standing with hands on her hips, an expression of amusement dancing in her eyes.
"Oops, sorry!" Applejack's chuckle at my fall only served to irk me further.
Glaring with a mix of annoyance and indignation, my gaze softened after a moment as resignation settled in. I rubbed the sore spot on my rear end, trying to ease the throbbing pain.
"It is time," Applejack stated with a gravity that belied the early hour, prompting me to rouse myself from the floor and slump groggily onto the bed. My sister's cryptic statements often left me perplexed.
"For what?" My query hung in the air as I struggled to make sense of Applejack's enigmatic pronouncements.
"School. Your first day of high school!" Applejack's smile hinted at the excitement of the day ahead, a sentiment that I met with a groan and a swift retreat under my pillow.
"Get your f*ckin' lazy butt up already!" Applejack's jest broke the tension, drawing a quick, playful response from me.
"Oooh!" My voice chimed in, my bow bouncing with a touch of enthusiasm.
The rare instance of Applejack's colorful language prompted a surprised chuckle from me, my pink bow bobbing in agreement.
"I will get changed then!" My resolve to face the day ahead began to take shape despite my initial reluctance. Glancing at the antique clock before me, a cherished gift from Granny Smith to assist with my time management, it displayed 7:00 AM. With school set to commence at 9:00 AM, I realized I didn't necessarily need to rise this early and could have enjoyed more rest, all thanks to my sister's unexpected wake-up call.
As the clock ticked towards an ungodly hour, I begrudgingly acknowledged that an early start meant more time with friends, a silver lining to the early school bell.
"Good. Oh, and Apple Bloom..." Applejack's sudden interjection caught me off guard, halting me in my tracks as my attention snapped back to my sister.
What now?
"Scootalo and Sweetie can walk with ya every day to school if ya like that?" Applejack's offer sparked a joyous outburst from me, the exuberance of my response echoing through the room.
"YESSSSIR!!" The shrillness of my excitement seemed to startle Applejack, who swiftly reminded me of the sleeping household. I had been way too loud.
"Hey! Don't be too loud! People are still sleepin', ya know that!" Applejack's reprimand was softened by our shared laughter, a moment of familial warmth that I cherished.
Brimming with joy, a wide grin lighting up my face, as Applejack, my older sister, persisted in treating me like a child despite my maturing. In her usual big-sister manner, she often overlooked my growth, still seeing me through the lens of a little kid.
Confident in my own abilities, I rarely found myself in troublesome situations, or so I liked to believe. However, the mischievous adventures my friends and I occasionally embarked upon did tend to lead us astray. After all, that's what best friends are for, right?
It was a relief to see Applejack finally placing her trust in me, allowing me the freedom to navigate on my own without her constant guidance.
Grateful for my sister's newfound trust and independence, I embraced Applejack, the gesture a silent acknowledgment of our evolving relationship. I am not little anymore.
"About time," I mumbled as Applejack disengaged from the hug, catching the echo of her laughter.
Applejack's parting words, "Get dressed already," marked the beginning of a new chapter; high school, prompting a chuckle from me. It became real in this moment.
With Applejack's exit, I turned my attention to my wardrobe, embarking on the daily ritual of selecting an outfit that would set the tone for the day.
"So, which one, Apple Bloom?" I deliberated aloud, my fingers grazing over the fabrics in my closet until I settled on a combination that felt just right for the occasion—a blue jeans paired with a pink crop top layered under a brown tank shirt, a nod to my personal style and the day ahead. I slipped into the low-rise brown boots.
"Now, I'm ready for school," I declared, a moment of quiet satisfaction punctuating the morning rush and train of thoughts.
My time at middle school was a bit rough; my grades were decent, with a mix of B+ and A+, maybe a stray C here and there, nothing too major.
As I transition to high school, I am resolute in my decision to approach things with a greater sense of seriousness.
Ah, ol' middle school... you know what the worst part was? Diamond Tiara!
Where do I even begin? She's the epitome of evil—manipulative, ungrateful, greedy, mean, selfish, and spoiled to the core!! She has no idea how to treat a friend with kindness. Despite her bullying tendencies towards me and my friends, she occasionally joins our group. However, our interactions usually revolve around mindless games like Spin The Bottle or Truth or Dare. It's baffling how mean she can be! If she dislikes us so much, why bother hanging out with us?! -___-
Just the thought of Diamond Tiara makes me groan...
But there's something that worries me, and I groan at the mere prospect...
What if she ends up in my classes?! Ugh!!! Thankfully, at least I have my loyal best friends, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle by my side.
"Don't miss your time walkin' with your best friends!" Applejack's reminder rang out, prompting me to hasten my preparations for the day ahead.
With a quick farewell to Applejack, I set off to meet my friends, anticipation bubbling within me as I imagined the adventures that awaited in the halls of high school.
In response, I hurried down the stairs.
"Yeah, I know, AJ," I assured her, giving Applejack a tight hug before parting ways.
"You'll be in the same high school as me. If you ever need help, don't hesitate to reach out! I'm here for you anytime, no trouble at all!" she reassured me with a warm smile, returning my embrace.
"Thank you, I'll remember that..." I replied.
While I hoped it wouldn't come to that, having her support was comforting. I knew I would be fine regardless. She truly was the best sister!
"Goodbye!" Applejack waved as I left.
Instead of waving back, I simply smiled and made my way to the meeting spot designated for my friends.
Standing there, waiting, I noticed that Scootalo or even Sweetie Belle hadn't arrived yet. And, they were five minutes late, my best friends—usually punctual—nowhere in sight. Impatience crept in, leading me to tap my foot on the ground.
I recalled Sweetie Belle mentioning that she's never late. Well, that was quite the fib.
Suddenly, a peculiar sound grew louder, drawing nearer.
*PANTS*
...
*PANTS*
*PANTS*
A peculiar sound broke the silence, drawing my attention to the approaching figures of Scootalo and Sweetie Belle, who seemed oddly out of sync.
Turning around, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle were walking together towards me. Beads of sweat glistened on their foreheads.
"Hey...?" My smile faltered as I noticed the unusual closeness between my friends, a subtle gesture that hinted at a deeper connection.
"Hey! Sorry, we were late—What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Scootalo's confusion mirrored my own, while Sweetie Belle's greeting held a hint of innocence that belied the tension in the air.
"Hello, Apple Bloom!" Sweetie Belle's cheerful demeanor clashed with the palpable awkwardness that settled between the trio.
"Are you...?" I hesitated, my gaze shifting between my friends as I struggled to articulate the unspoken question hanging in the air.
"Are we what?" Their synchronized response only added to the confusion, a moment of uncertainty that lingered between us.
"Are y'all holdin' hands?" My pointed observation drew an immediate reaction from Scootalo and Sweetie Belle, who quickly disentangled their intertwined fingers with a mix of embarrassment and denial.
"N-no!" Sweetie Belle's hasty denial was met with a slight retreat, a physical distance that mirrored the emotional tension in the air.
"It's not what you think!" Scootalo's blush and awkward gesture underscored the unspoken truth that I seemed to sense.
"Ooo-kay lovebirds, let's go to school, let's not waste more time," My playful jab punctuated the moment, my smirk hinting at a deeper understanding that eluded my friends.
"We are not lovers!!" Their vehement denial was met with shared blushes and awkward glances, a silent admission of a truth left unspoken.
"Ew!" Sweetie Belle's exclamation underscored the awkwardness of the moment, a mix of discomfort and amusement evident in her tone.
Scootalo made a retching sound; she is obviously in denial about her identity and orientation.
I laughed at their reaction. They were so cute with each other. It amused me how oblivious they seemed to their mutual feelings, despite my own awareness.
It got really obvious that they likeeeeeeeeee each other!!
Without exchanging further words, we strolled to school.
~ At School ~
Apparently, Sweetie Belle, Scootalo and me will be in different classes but the best thing is that we will still be together a lot!!!
I have four classes with Scootalo and five with Sweetie Belle. The worst, bad, awful, I would rather die, news is that I will also have classes with Diamond F*ckin' Tiara!!
Like I said, I would rather to die than to have classes with her............ I just wish she was nice then maybe..
Just maybe, we could actually be besties by now but it seems like it will never happen, like literally never.
I don't think we will be best friends, ever!
Because I hate her!!! Right now, I'm sitting in the classroom, waiting for the class to start because we have free time before classes start.
Classes start at 9:15 AM, and right now it's 9:00 AM.
"So guys, did you all hear the news?" Scootalo whispers to me and Sweetie Belle, I sat behind Scootalo because somebody took the seat in the front. Scootalo sat next to Sweetie Belle.
"Yeah.. Diamond Tiara will be having classes with us, ugh!" Sweetie Belle said.
"What?!?" I shouted. They stared at me blankly.
"You didn't know?" Sweetie Belle pointed out.
"Well, of course, I did know, but I already checked. She just has few classes with me right?" I chuckled.
"Actually..... Apple Bloom, you have all classes with Diamond Tiara.." Sweetie Belle said, nervously. There was a moment of silence until I said something.
"You're lying." I said, raising my eyebrows as I nervously chuckled hoping they were playing around.
"No! I'm seriously not! It's the truth." Sweetie Belle shouted, my confidence suddenly went down.
I literally screamed in my mind but in reality I gulped and covered my face.
*clicks*
*clicks*
*clicks*
Is that the sound of heels? Oh no.......
It's the sound of my biggest enemy of mine coming to destroy my life.
And then..........
A girl with light lavender hair, with white highlights, wearing a pink short dress with a white jean jacket, white heels, a silver tiara clip on her hair, diamond earrings, and not to mention her beautiful baby blue eyes just came in room, guess who!
Diamond Tiara...
She arrived with her so called best friend, Silver Spoon.
"Oh, thank goodness, I am finally here!" Diamond Tiara sarcastically winced.
I rolled my eyes with annoyance. Very funny.
"Yeah, It took forever to walk here! I am so sorry Dia, my mom couldn't do it today." Silver Spoon said.
"Whatever." Diamond Tiara said, giving her an attitude.
They walked in and chose their seats, Diamond Tiara took a seat next to me on my right. Silver Spoon chose the opposite side on my left. I'm in the middle of them.
"Well, well! Take a look at this, Silver." Diamond Tiara pointed out to me and my friends.
I rolled my eyes again, not looking at her.
"Oh, it's the blankies!" Silver Spoon giggled.
They always call me and my friends blankies whenever they felt like it.
'Blankies' in their definition means no talent: blank , inferior, or invisible. A typical bully move.
They did say I have no talent. And hey, excuse you, I help my family out with apple-bucking and other duties. She just does not know who I exactly am!
We didn't even look at her, we just kept looking away. Sweetie Belle and Scootalo were talking. We were pretending that we didn't hear what they said.
"Bitch, your eyes should be on me because I am the most fabulous person in existence!" Diamond Tiara tapped my chin.
"Hello to you too." I said, looking at somewhere.
She came and sat on my desk, blocking my view. Silver Spoon joined but as soon as she gets closer to me, Diamond Tiara glared at her.
Silver moved away from me then she left Diamond Tiara to me and bothered Scootalo and Sweetie.
I have absolutely no clue why Diamond Tiara did that. Did she want to bully me not the others? Ugh, guess, I am her favorite target but why?
"Get the hell away! Do you have anythin' better to do than this bullshit." I cursed. I just had to curse. I never cursed a lot but she pissed me off so much.
"Oh but honey, this is so much better." She said, pouting like a cute cat.
She scooted her butt on the desk, closer to me. Not that I like it, but look at her, damn, she has a big butt! Wait what, Apple Bloom?! Stop it!
She tapped my chin, and put her small cute index finger on my chin. She moved it so I can see her.
I did the weirdest thing that I almost never did with Diamond Tiara before............. I blushed.
"Oh! Is that a blush I'm seeing right now?" She chimed, smirking.
"G-get your ass off my desk." I said, blushing. I tried to cover my face because some people in my class were staring and it's embarrassing okay?!! I also looked away when I said that because I am #embarrassed.
"Sure but honey, you owe me." She said, getting off my desk and went over to my friends.
Shit. What is this? The feeling, that makes you want to do something to her, the heat, the blushes. I definitely don't understand this.... Ahh, just make it stop!!!
"Just fuck off. Picking on us won't help you with anything." Scootalo said.
"Fine, you want me to go away? Then do something...... kind?" Silver Spoon said, like she didn't know what to say.
"That's stupid, you don't know nothing." Diamond Tiara said to Silver Spoon. I saw her getting hurt, not that I care or anything. But still...... Treatin' your friend like that? That's Diamond Tiara for ya.
"Let's sleepover at Apple Bloom's house next Friday. I got something to do this Friday but we will have lots of fun by then..." Diamond Tiara said, staring at me.
"Apple Bloom's fine with it... Right?" She said, when all eyes were dropped on me, she gritted her teeth.
"Uh, no way, Diamond. I--" I stopped when Diamond Tiara glared at me then smirked.
She walked over to me and whispered in my ears.
"Do you really want me to tell them that you blushed and that you like me?"
'Like? I don't even like you. I hate you... (I didn't said it)'
I sat up straight, and she backed off.
She went back to where she stood before. My friends and Silver Spoon, stared at me waiting for my response.
'Fine... Only because if she told everyone, I doubt they would believe me or whatever, she probably will do something bad, so I just give up.'
"Ugh.. Sure, I guess we can sleepover at my place..." I said, folding my arms and looked away.
"Seriously?" Sweetie Belle and Scootalo said in unison.
"Yup." I slowly said as I popped the 'P'.
"Mm-kay, I wouldn't mind if it was just us but with them..." Sweetie Belle said, then we all looked at Silver Silver and Diamond Tiara.
"Eh.." Sweetie Belle said.
"Right?" Scootalo agreed.
"Whatever, just accept it, but no silly business okay, Diamond Tiara?" I said.
I don't know why I cut my friends off. Probably because they were complaining too much. I understand but just get along with it because I want the day to end already. It has been already bad...
"Thanks, darling!" Diamond Tiara said to me, giving me a peck on my cheek. A kiss... I blushed so much, that it was the color of apples. She just went over to Silver Spoon and talked.
"Huh, 'darling'?! And did she just kiss you?" Scootalo shouted, being confused.
"That's the same thing Rarity always say. I guess fancy people always say that, I do too sometimes." Sweetie Belle said, and I shoot a glare at her. She didn't see that.
I did that because it was totally unnecessary to say and it wasn't totally helpful.
"Um, Apple Bloom?" Sweetie Belle said.
"What?" I snapped back to reality.
"Are you blushing?" She said, pointing out my blush.
"What are you talkin' bout? I am not!" I slowly started to cover my face.
"Are you sick or something?" Scootalo blurted out. What? Are you crazy, I'm fine!
"Of course not, Scootalo, she looked fine when we were at our spot." Sweetie Belle flicked Scootalo's head.
"Ouch!" Scootalo said, grunting.
She rubbed the spot on where Sweets flicked on.
Sweetie Belle just smiled.
"I'm just curious and it was a thought anyways, lemme check though." Scootalo said.
She put her hand on my forehead.
"She's heating up!" Scootalo shouted. She quickly took her hand off my forehead.
"Seriously?" Sweetie Belle said, she put her hand on my forehead and she took it off quickly.
"Oh my gosh, yeah!" She said, gasping.
"Call 911!!" Scootalo shouted.
"Guys, I am fine! I'm not sick, I just feel hot, that's all...." I end up looking at Diamond Tiara and looked away.
Wait, was it because of what she did to me earlier, the hand thing, that she made me blush? That one?
"Okay.." They said in unison.
"Oh but do you know why Diamond Tiara kissed you ?" Scootalo said.
"Whoa, seriously?" Sweetie Belle giggled. Lame, she missed the show of infamous Diamond Tiara.
"I don't know, she's weird, she always does weird things. She's Diamond Tiara. Ya know that." I said, making up.
'Honestly, I don't know why she kissed me on my cheek.'
"Weird..." Scootalo said.
"Totally..." I said.
"Okay, heh, let's just go back to our seats and focus on classes because it will start in a few seconds." Scootalo said.
"You're right." I said. Sweetie Belle nodded.
For a second there, I looked at Diamond Tiara for no reason and she whipped her hair. It was in slow motion and I blushed. She looked like.... an angel to me.......
Cute... I thought.
'Wait what???'
*RINGSSSSSSSSSS* *RINGSSSSSSSSS* *KLEEEEENNNGGGGGG* *KLENGGGGGGGG*
"Good morning, class! I am Mrs. Aubreeina." A woman came in, I've heard of her before. She is sweet and she makes good jokes. She is our homeroom teacher too.
"Morning." We all said.
We introduced ourselves and so go on.
"Okay, so you know, I'm an English teacher but I'm not mean, so I will give you just for today because it's the first day of high school, free time!"
We cheered.
