We see Y/n, Linze, Elze, and Yae walking through the capital.

Elze: Say, since we're in the capital anyways, why don't we get some shopping in?

Yae: A fine idea.

Y/n looks around and notices that some people have animal traits.

Y/n: Hey, the people with the animal traits. I didn't notice any of them back in Refelt. They got a name?

Linze: They're called Demi-Humans. Those are beatsmen you're looking at, but we use that to describe elves, dwarves, and fairies as well.

Y/n: I see...

Y/n: This world's got Fantasy written all over it.

Elze: Hey, Y/n?

Y/n: Hm?

Elze: What's going on with that girl?

Y/n and the others look to where Elze is pointing and see a young girl.

Y/n: I don't know... I'm going to go check on her.

Y/n then walks up to the girl.

Y/n: Hey, are you alright?

The girl then turns to face Y/n, and screams in fear.

Girl: Why?! What do you want from me?!

Y/n: Nothing, really! You look worried, so I wanted to see what was bothering you!

Girl: Well... I lost my sister in the crowd... We agreed on a place to meet if this happened, but I have no idea how to get there from here.

Y/n: I can help you, if you want it that is.

Girl: I would. But how are you going to help?

Y/n then pulls out his scroll and opens the map.

Y/n: Just give me the name, and we'll get there!

The girl then gives Y/n the place, and he inputs it on his scroll. They then follow the map, and see a girl in a blue outfit.

Girl: Olga!

The girl, who is identified as Olga turns towards the girl and the others.

Olga: *gasps* Arma!

Arma then runs up to Olga and hugs her.

Olga: You had me worried.

Arma: Sorry about that.

Olga then turns to Y/n and bows.

Olga: I appreciate you taking care of my sister!

Y/n: No problem! Always happy to help! See ya!

Arma: Thanks so much!

Y/n and the girls then walk away, with Arma waving goodbye.

Elze: Now then, there's still time to go shopping.

Y/n: We won't be able to do everything we all want if we stick together, so let's split up, and meet back at the inn.

Elze: Sounds good!

Yae: I have no objections!

Linze: Sure!

*Time-skip*

We see Linze, Elze, and Yae at the inn they were staying at, but Y/n is nowhere to be seen.

Yae: I wonder if he was mugged in some dark alley.

Elze: That's the only excuse I'll take.

Linze: I'm sure he just lost track of time.

Y/n: Hey!

The others turn to see Y/n in an attire with a pattern that's like his old one, with a bag on his back.

Y/n: Sorry about that! Took longer than expected!!

Y/n then pulls out his scroll and it shows that it's 5:25 pm.

Y/n: Wow, it's already 5:25.... Really lost track of time there...

Yae: That scroll of yours also keeps track of time for you?

Y/n: Yup! There's a lot this bad boy can do!

Elze: So, what's with the new outfit?

Y/n: Didn't wanna wear the same clothes every day. That would be terrible on my part if it got dirty, and I had nothing else to wear. And look at this!

Y/n then shows a ring with Ruby's symbol on it.

Linze: That's a nice looking ring, Y/n!

Y/n: Thank you! A ring maker taught me how to make it, then I went and had it enchanted with magic. It makes me resistant to any magic I have an affinity for, at the cost of taking double damage when I get hit by magic I don't have affinities for. In other words, I made the perfect item for me!

Linze: That's nice!

Yae: And despite being a boy, you're rather cute!

Y/n: *small blush* Please don't say that...

Location: Silver Moon

We see the outside of the Silver Moon, and notice that it's raining. However, two people, whose names are Dolan and Barral are seen playing a game of chess.

Y/n: Still playing chess, I see.

Dolan: That's right.

Y/n: It's almost been a week now! Shouldn't you be back at your shop?

Dolan: No one's going to come due to all this rain.

Micah: And there's nothing you could possibly be repairing or cleaning in the meantime, right?

Y/n: *sigh* What about your place, Barral? Is going to be alright?

Barral: Should be. My wife's taking care of things there. But anyways, Y/n, you think you can making me another one of these boards so I can play at home?

Y/n: Sure, no problem!

Barral: Thanks, you're the best!

Dolan: Check!

Barral looks and notices that Dolan's Bishop is right in range of being able to take his king, so he grabs his rook, and knocks out the bishop.

Dolan: Damn! You stubborn bastard!

Micah: Hey! Calm it down, will you?

Dolan: It's just a friendly game dear!

Y/n: I wouldn't say that... Some people from my hometown have held chess tournaments. Those can get ugly FAST. *to Micah* Anyways, Micah, have you seen anyone else?

Micah: I'm pretty sure Linze is in her room right now, but Elze took Yae down to Parent's Café to try that new desert they came out with. I hear you're the one who invented it.

Y/n: I didn't invent it. I just showed them the recipe.

The door then opens to reveal Elze and Yae.

Elze: We're back! And we're soaked!

Yae: Yes, but we came bearing gifts!

Micah: Welcome back! How did it go?

Elze: We got it! The line was short thanks to all the rain.

Yae: This treat is quite delicious!

Y/n: They had some there, and were able to bring some back?!

Elze then brings out four boxes and hands one to Micah.

Elze: This one's for Linze. This one's for me and Yae. And this one's for the Duke. *to Y/n* Y/n, would you mind delivering it to him?

Y/n: Why me, exactly?

Elze: Well one, you have the Gate spell, and two, you'd be sharing a treat with the Duke. He is a nice guy.

Y/n: *sigh* Point taken.

*Time-skip*

We now see Y/n, along with the Ortline family trying the sweet that Y/n made, that being cinnamon rolls.

Sue: These are so good!

Ellen: Mind your manners in front out our guest. Truly, this treat is exquisite! What did you say they were called?

Y/n: They're called Cinnamon rolls.

Alfred: You know, I envy the people of Refelt, and your hometown. They can enjoy this whenever they please. If I could use Gate like you, I would purchase it daily.

Y/n: I do have the recipe. I could give it to your chefs, per your permission, of course.

Sue: That's great! We can eat it everyday for the rest of our lives!

Ellen: Now Sue, that would be to much. We should limit ourselves to every other day.

Y/n: Still a bit much, but okay...

After they finish, Y/n brings out the chess board and shows it to Alfred.

Alfred: Hmm... Okay Y/n, you say this game is called Chess?

Y/n: Yup! It's a two player game. It takes a lot of strategy, and your objective is to take the opponent's king. Whoever does that is the winner of the game. Up for a game? Just to let you know, I won't go easy on you, just because you're the Duke, and you're new to the game.

Alfred: Very well. I do wish to try it.

Sue: No fair! I want to play to!

Y/n: How about this? After my match with your father, you can play against me.

Sue: *pouts* Okay...

Y/n then sets up the board, and tells him about the basics, and during the match, shows him a few other moves, such as Castling and Promotion.

Alfred: Fascinating... So if one of my eight pawns makes it across the board, I can promote them.

Y/n: Yup! Pawns are seen by many as sacrifice pieces, but if you get at least one across, the game can really change as a whole. You could have two queens on the board, making it harder for your opponent!

Unfortunately, Sue starts getting upset, as she wants to play.

Sue: HURRY UP AND FINISH THIS GAME, FATHER, I WANNA PLAY!!!

Alfred: About that Sue... This might take a while, why don't you go play outside?

Sue: BECASUE IT'S RAINING OUTSIDE!!! Y/n!!!!! MAKE HIM GIVE ME A TURN, THIS ISN'T FAIR!!!!

Suddenly, Sue starts tickling, Y/n, getting him to laugh.

Y/n: STOP! STOP IT!!!

However, Sue doesn't stop, and Y/n quickly uses Petal Burst and gets away.

Y/n: *panting* Keep that up Sue... And I'll make sure you never get a turn...

Sue then stops, and after a bit, Alfred and Y/n being able to give Checkmate onto Alfred. Y/n then plays a game with Sue, which makes her happy, and just like her father, managed to get her in Checkmate.

Alfred: That game was quite fun! I'll have to show it to my brother sometime!

Y/n: I bet he would like it! Anyways, I gotta head back!

Alfred: Wait! One more game! I'm sure we can make it a quick one!

Y/n: Sorry, but I have to decline... Chess games can take a long time, if you've got two experienced players! How about we play another time?

Alfred: Of course!

Y/n: Thanks!

Y/n then leaves the room, and sighs.

Y/n: That was close... If I didn't give a good reason... I might have been playing Chess all night... Maybe even have a dream about it.

*Time-skip*

We now see the team in the Capital's Guild Hall.

Yae: The Capital's Guild Hall makes Refelt's look small.

Linze: They have more quests here to. I'm glad we decided to check it out.

Y/n: Yeah. Now, Yae, I have a question for you.

Yae: What is it?

Y/n: I already have Linze and Elze's stances on it, so I want your opinion, as it will determine what we do. Slime. Yes or No?

Yae: No. In fact, I'd do any other job in the world that doesn't involve slime.

Y/n: Alright.

Y/n: I'll respect their decision... Even though my inner pervert tells me to take it anyways... And get their reactions... And add those reactions and nudeness to the ol' noggin.

As Y/n look through more quests, he finds one.

Y/n: Hey, what about a Dullahan?

*Time-skip*

We now see a bunch of ruins, with Y/n and Yae running through the area, as the Dullahan comes up and attacks, but Y/n quickly blocks with his scythe, allowing Elze to use some of her aura to punch the Dullahan a far distance.

Y/n: Good job, Elze! Finished off those horned wolves that were following us?

Elze: Yup! There were about 20 of them, but thanks to my aura, I was able to deal with them no problem!

Unfortunately, the Dullahan does get back up, but Yae blocks the incoming attack with her katana.

Y/n: Linze, I'm going to use my Silver Eyes, I just need you to trap in one spot!

Linze: Got it! I'll do my best!

Yae then tosses the Dullahan's head to it, and Elze knocks it down, giving Linze the right spot to freeze it.

Linze: Grasping Ice, Come forth! FROZEN CURSE, ICE BIND!!!

Linze then freezes the Dullahan, and Y/n quickly activates his Silver Eyes, vaporizing it in an instant.

Y/n: And... We're done.

Yae: That was utterly exhausting.

Y/n: So anyways, from what I've learned, these are the old ruins of the kingdom, am I right?

Elze: That's right. It sure would be cool if there was a bunch of hidden treasures somewhere.

Yae: That it would, but the capital wasn't destroyed, it was moved. I doubt they would've left anything valuable behind.

Y/n: Well then, let's confirm there's nothing here. SEARCH, TREASURE.

Y/n tries, but gets nothing from the search.

Y/n: Looks like they didn't leave anything.

Elze: Ah, dangit.

Linze: Hold on! Y/n, try and broaden your search. You may have searched for treasure, but that only means there's nothing you would see as treasure.

Y/n: Hm. Didn't think about that. Okay, let's give it a go with a new item. SEARCH, HISTORICAL RELICS.

Y/n then tries again, and turns around with a smile.

Y/n: Got something! The only catch is we might have to go underground, and there's rubble in the way.

Linze: I can take care of that! Just lead the way!

Y/n and the others then make it to the area that Y/n had mentioned. Linze then steps up and prepares a spell.

Linze: BURST FORTH, RAGING FLAME! GREAT CRIMSON INFERNO!!!! ERRUPTION!!!

A giant explosion then occurs, knocking a huge amount of debris everywhere.

Y/n: Linze, warn us next you use that! But still... Thanks for the assist!

Linze then glows a small blush at what Y/n had said to her. As the smoke clears, two giant doors appear, and Y/n opens them revealing the inside of the cave.

Y/n: Might be dark. Linze, can you create a little light so we can see where we're going.

Linze: Of course! COME FORTH, LIGHT! TINY ILLUMINATION!! LIGHT!!!

A ball of light then appears, and the four begin their quest downwards, which does give Y/n some creepy vibes.

Linze: This place is certainly creepy. I wonder if it might be haunted.

Yae: What?!

Y/n: *sigh* Yae, it's not haunted. Linze, don't scare us like that, please.

As they continue to walk, they find some ruins with writing on them.

Y/n: Woah... Linze, do you know this language?

Linze: No I don't. I'm familiar with most ancient magic scripts, but this is completely foreign.

Y/n: I see...

Elze and Yae start to look at the writing, but as they do, Y/n pulls out his scroll and takes a picture, scaring the two.

Elze: *screams for her life*

Yae: *pulls out her katana* Everyonegetbacktheghostswantblood!!

Y/n: When did Yae learn how to talk Ruby?

Y/n: *laughs for a second* Relax, Yae. Look.

Y/n then shows Yae and Elze the picture he took with his scroll. it does manage to calm Yae down, as she puts her katana.

Yae: Just how many things is that scroll of yours capable of?

Y/n: A lot of things. It'd take a few hours just to explain it all.

Y/n then steps back a bit and starts getting some more pictures as the girls investigate the area.

Elze: Hey, come check this out!

Y/n then stops and sees a glowing red rock.

Elze: You see that rock in the wall?

Y/n: *sarcastically* Yeah, clear as day.

Linze: I'm pretty sure that's an earth spell stone.

Y/n: Alrighty then! Then leave this to me!

Almost instantly, the three girls back up, shocking Y/n.

Y/n: What the hell?! Why are you girls all the way back there?!

Elze: Well... We don't know what it'll do... so just incase.

Linze: Just to be on safe side.

Yae: Aye. never hurts to be careful.

Y/n: Yae learned how to talk Happy as well? What the hell?!

Y/n: *sigh* Fine. Here we go.

Y/n then touches the stone and magic power flows through it. Suddenly, the middle area starts to glow, and it starts to crumble apart.

As the four walk in, they notice an odd statue right in front of them.

Y/n: Anyone know what that is?

Elze: Nope. But it does look pretty magical.

Yae: It kinda looks like a statue.

Y/n then walks up and touches it, which then reveals glass under it.

Y/n: A glass statue? That's not something you see everyday.

Suddenly, the light starts to die down.

Y/n: Uh, Linze, quick question. How long does that light spell of yours last?

Linze: Well, light magic is one of my weaker affinities. But I can keep a spell like this up for about two hours. Strange, it hasn't been half that long, and the light is definitely fading.

Y/n then notices a glowing orb in the statue, and immediately realizes what's going on.

Y/n: I know what's going on, so we're getting the hell out of here!

Y/n activates Petal Burst, and right as he grabs the others, the "statue" starts to glow, and the ruins start to collapse. As soon as Y/n makes it out, he drops the others and falls to the ground, and the rubble breaks the only entrance

Y/n: *panting*

Elze: What was that thing?

Yae: Was that a magic beast? I've never seen anything like it.

Y/n: Well, whatever the hell that thing was, we better be ready to fight it.

Linze: You think it might be able to escape from the rubble?

Y/n: I'm not trying to jinx us, but it might find another route out.

Suddenly, four lasers pop right out of the ground.

Y/n: Or it comes right to us.

A giant explosion then occurs, and out of the debris, the "statue" steps out and charges at Y/n, but he quickly dodges it with Petal Burst, and starts shooting at it, but does not damage.

Y/n: Dammit!

Linze: BURST FORTH, FIRE! CRIMSON DUET. FIRE ARROW!!!

Linze shoots off the fire spell, but the creature absorbs it. However, Y/n immediately notices where it goes it.

Y/n: That's it! That has to be it's weak spot!!

Linze: I may have just made it stronger...

Y/n: Don't worry, I know how to end this! Yae, keep it distracted, so it doesn't notice me! Elze, stay back, and when I say to attack, activate your Null Magic!

Yae and Elze: Got it!!

Yae then runs towards the creature, and hits it, but gets knocked back in the process. The creature then tries to attack Yae, but before it can attack, Y/n says one thing.

Y/n: APPORTS!!!

Suddnely, the red orb is in Y/n's hands.

Y/n: *Image Below*

As Y/n looks at the creature, keeping his smug look as it flails, he tosses it towards Elze.

Y/n: Now Elze! Crush it!

Elze: BOOST!!!

Elze then punches the orb, breaking it, and the creature disintegrating right in front of them.

Y/n: *sigh* Well that was a thing.

Elze: Hey Y/n, how'd you know that the red sphere was important?

Y/n: When it start glowing when Linze's magic was disappearing, I knew it was draining her magic. Now for a real question? Who or where do we report these ruins to?

Linze: I think we should report it to the kingdom, considering that we found it in the old capital.

Y/n: Good logic. Duke Ortlinde might be our only connection, so let's go.

*Time-skip*

We now see the team in the Duke's house, as they explain the situation to him.

Alfred: I see. I'll send out an expedition team and see what they find.

Y/n: Well, I've got some good news and some bad news. First, the bad news. The ruins were destroyed.

Alfred: I see... That is bad news. And the good news?

Y/n: I lucky got you some pictures!

Alfred: Pictures?

Y/n: Right. You don't know what those are.

Y/n then pulls out his scroll and shows Alfred the photos.

Alfred: My! What is this device?

Y/n: Right. First time seeing this. It's a special item I found when I was a kid. It can do a lot of things, and one is freezing moments of time and storing them in here.

Alfred: You never cease to impress me, Rose.

Y/n: I don't know if it'll work, but I can try and make you a copy of these.

Alfred: Please try! I think it would go into the mystery of why the capital was moved.

Y/n: That's a big chuck of your kingdom's lore that shouldn't be left blank. Do you any records of that time?

Alfred: I'm sure there were once, but none remain. Forgive me, but I may need your assistance once more. Would you be willing?

Y/n: Yeah, I can help you men if the time ever arise, and I'm not busy of course.

Alfred: I understand, and it is rather reassuring.

As the four head out, Elze speaks up.

Elze: Why do our jobs never go smoothly?

Linze: I'd feel better about it if we found some treasure.

Y/n: Well, you can't get them all Linze. For right now, the only thing I want to do is go to bed.

It's now the next morning, and we see Y/n in his room, making the photos.

Y/n: Man, having every Null Magic, along with Ruby's abilities, is kinda broken! Well, now that I've got these done, time to deliver them to the duke!

Y/n then heads out, tells the others where he's going, and opens a gate to the Duke's front gates, and shocks the two guards, and sees the carriage.

Y/n: *sigh* I guess I'll have to wait.

Suddenly, the carriage stops, and Y/n sees Alfred step out.

Alfred: Well met as always, Y/n.

Y/n: Yeah, same here.

Alfred: Listen, if you've made the images of what you showed me yesterday, they'll have to wait, as I'm in dire need of your help.

Y/n: Dire need? What's going on?

Alfred: It's my brother. He's been poisoned.

Y/n: That's not good.
