"Hanazawa-san~! Wanna go on a date with me after class?" – guy one.

"No way! He's a loser! Let's see a movie together!" – guy two.

"Don't mind them. Here! I prepared lunch for you today too!" – girl one.

"Thanks so much you guys! I'm so happy, but you don't have to go through all this just for little 'ol me..." I say as I give them a playful wink and stick my tongue out.

Ahh... It's so great to be born cute...

The name's Hanazawa Yuiko, and I'm a second year, high school student. I've been really popular in my school since my first year days, mostly for my looks and because my father is the CEO of one of Japan's famous businesses. But I also have a sweet personality, so, no worries, I'm not evil. I really am a sweet person! Some just love to spoil me by giving me gifts and plainly hang out with me.

I'm not just popular with the guys; I'm also well-liked by the girls too!

We're still on the second term, but things have stayed this way for as long as I can remember that I've gotten used to it.

Sure, I've told them not to keep on spoiling me like this, but they're all just too persistent that I just go with it. It's really fun though. I don't like to brag, but I love the attention everyone's giving me.

"But we want to!" – guy two.

"Yeah! Don't mind us..." – guy one.

"Alright... Thanks guys..." I say as I wave them a goodbye and go on my way to the classroom. Then suddenly, I hear two familiar voices shout out my name from behind me.

"Yui-chi~!"

"Yui-chan~!"

"Oh hi Ricchan~! Kasumi-chan~!"

Nanase Rika and Ueno Kasumi are the two girls whom I've been the closest to ever since freshman year. We've also been classmates for up till now, and I'm very thankful that the both of them have remain by my side truthfully ever since.

"Another sweet gift today, huh?" scoffs Rika.

"You're so lucky you have all these admirers Yui-chan!" complements Kasumi.

"But you know girls, it doesn't feel gratifying... Because these are all just ways to be close with me, and not just because I'm me, but because of what my dad is..." I say with a bit of depression in my tone.

Although, I also tend to think that the friends I have now are fake too and just putting up a nice facade so they can take advantage of me... But, I try not to get too negative, as it may damage my spiritual wellness gravely.

"Yeah... The Hanazawa corporation is just a great status that no one can ignore! Especially because you're the CEO's daughter!" pointed out Kasumi.

"But don't worry Yui-chi, we'll always be here for you..." Rika assures me.

Would you really?

"Oh my God! He's coming this way~!" Rika squeals silently, making me and Kasumi freak out.

"What?! Who is?!"

"Hey there Hanazawa-san! Can I meet with you later after school?" says Oshiro as soon as he was close enough to us.

Oshiro Ryota, one of my bestest male friends since I entered this school. It's a miracle that we've remained classmates even until now, because I'm not really a smart person, so I have fears of being transferred to other sections and losing my friends. But sometimes, I wonder if me being in the first section is just because of my father's influence again...

"Sure Oshiro-kun..." I say to him as I feel my cheeks getting a little warm.

"Great... See you later then!" he says as he then waves us a goodbye.

My girl friends start to chant and tease me, "You're one lucky girl!"

"Shut up!"

I've also developed a crush on Oshiro-kun ever since first year, and since nothing ever escapes these two, they knew about it and kept teasing me for it. But, they're kind enough to tease me without Oshiro in the area to notice.

"Pssh! She's so annoying! Just because she got asked by Oshiro-kun to meet later, she thinks she's all that!" – girl one.

"Yeah! I bet it's because she's daddy's pampered little rich girl!" – girl two.

"Hey! You girls shut your traps!" Kasumi yells at the two girls randomly passing by who were bad-mouthing me.

"Yeah... You both are just jealous that Yuiko's more popular than you girls!" taunts Rika.

They're seniors, but their personalities are so terrible. They should be model students than being mutinous girls who spout bad things on others. It's such a shame though, because they are beautiful, but their hearts are ice cold...

I don't want to turn into filthy girls like them...

But to say nothing, and turn into someone like who is that of a ghost that everyone just passes by, that's the last thing I would want...

The two girls then just pass by Takabayashi, bumping him without apologizing, and making his books fall down. The girls don't even turn around to look at him and walk away laughing to themselves.

Such witches!

Takabayashi crouches down to pick up his fallen books and dusts off each one delicately. I go near him and pick the last book off the ground, dust it off and hand it to him, "You should at least complain when they do that, you know..."

"Nah... That would be an even bigger hassle... It's better if I just stay quiet...." says Takabayashi as he gives me a gentle smile.

Takabayashi Kei, one of my very close male friends in this school along with Oshiro-kun. He's a geeky type of guy, as he always wears thick rimmed glasses and baggy sweaters. I always see him reading various kinds of books alone whenever I catch sight of him. And he always let's his long hair hide most of his eyes, since he doesn't really care how he looks.

People like Takabayashi remind me of myself in the past. My only friends were books, and people really didn't like to approach me. It's just sad... So, I wanna be his friend so that he at least has one person in the world who has his back.

"Okay then... But take care of yourself, okay Takabayashi-kun?"

"I will... " he smiles as he bows at me and walks away.

"Poor Takabayashi-kun... He's a good guy, and yet people treat him like an outcast." says Rika.

"He deserves good friends... Like you Yui-chan!" Kasumi points out.

"You think I'm a good friend?"

"We know you are..." the both of them say as they pull me in for a group hug.

"Thanks guys!"

"Anytime~!"

As the bell for lunch break rang, I do a few stretches before putting away my things and taking out my lunch box to eat with the girls.

"Hey Yui!" Rika calls out to me.

"Yeah?"

"Kasumi is having a little 'monthly' problem... So I have to help her out... Is it okay if you have lunch by your own today? We might take long..."

"I can help!"

"Nah... It's alright... I can handle her... Go take your lunch..." she beams me a smile as Kasumi looks a little 'drained'.

"Alright..." a give out a little giggle looking at my two best friends.

"Let's have lunch together today Hanazawa-san!" – girl one.

"Is it alright if we have lunch with you today again, Hanazawa-chan?" – girl two.

"I would be most delighted to have lunch with you today Hanazawa-sama" – guy one.

"I would be honored you guys... But, is it okay if I have lunch alone this time? You know, to compose myself from every now and then?" I ask of them, and luckily, they approved. So, I went to take my lunch on the school's rooftop.

Even though I hate being alone, having breathers like this once in a while can be relaxing...
