Raid Final
An: The end of the first book of Imp On Fire. One of my longest fics so far. Wow, I can't believe that we finally reach the end. And we still got two more books to go! Thanks to everyone for reading this and be sure to spread this fic and leave a kudos and comment below! Thanks also to my friend https://x.com/BainCantCook for the art work on Blitzo's reaper form.
And let's give a special thanks to FleetlordAvatar, TheDragonSaver, Aurasoulyami, and DaemonQueen for their OC's. And yes I will continue to use them going forward.
I hope you all enjoy this final chapter of the first book and look forward to the second either sometimes this Fall or winter.
And yes, Starlight wings I will update next.
Blitzo had faced stronger enemies before. Much as he hated to admit it, being an Imp made you the lowest of the races in terms of power, especially against Goetia Demons. Yes, he had his other form that could drastically change things, but he didn't want to rely on that unless he had no choice, considering the price. However, there were a few things about bigger and more powerful enemies that were always advantages he took control of in such situations.
For one? They were arrogant as fuck. Their power made them self-assured that nobody could touch them, especially an Imp. Second, regardless of what type of demon you were, every single one was weak against holy items and angelic steel, which Blitzo still had. Finally, Blitzo was unpredictable when it came to fighting. He used every means possible to win. Even dirty wins.
So when he ran into the nearest room, he started grabbing whatever priceless stuff he could find and threw it at the glowing Prince Gaap. With annoyance, the Prince smacked or used his magic to block various china plates, vases, miniature statues, and even a painting or two. "Do you really have to ruin all my things? Some of these were expensive!"
"I'm sure it only caused like 0.002% in your actual bank account," Blitzo replied as he dodged a bolt of lighting, flipped over a couch, and fired bullets at the Prince, who shifted to the left.
His sword began to glow as he swiped it upward, unleashing an air slash of glowing green and white pulsing power that was ripping through the air. Blitzo's eyes widened, and he skeeted to the left of the couch as the air slash sliced the sofa in two. He looked at the sharp, perfect cut and then said, "That one was on you!"
Gaap's response was another air slash that Blitzo ducked to avoid having his head removed from his neck. Scrambling to the ground, Blitzo continued to fire more bullets as Gaap swiftly slashed in the air with his blade to slice them apart and let them land on the wall behind him. "This is foolish. Do you really think you have a chance?"
He raised his hand and fired a series of fireballs that Blitzo managed to avoid thanks to cartwheels, flips, and air spins due to his acrobatic training. He landed on the ground before rushing forward with an angelic steel knife. The Prince rolled his eyes as a quick flick of his sword disabled Blitzo, and he proceeded to kick him down and place his foot on his chest. "Did you really think that would-"
Blitzo then pulled a second angelic steel knife and stabbed him in the foot, which caused him to shriek in pain and bounce away while hopping on his one good leg. "Always carry more than one!"
He tried to charge again, but Prince Gaap telepathically pushed him away, this time into the next room, which was home to various martial weapons, including spears, swords, and axes. Rushing over, Blitzo smashed his elbow into one of the cases and pulled out a French saber, which he then used to attack Prince Gaap, who had just walked in. The two clashed blades, but it was clear that Gaap was the expert in terms of martial combat. He quickly disarmed Blitzo after a few clashes and slashed his arm lightly, which made him hiss.
Rushing to another stand, Blitzo grabbed two golden axes from the Viking era and got ready. Prince Gaap merely raised his blade and motioned for Blitzo to come forward. The assassin did so, bringing both axes in opposite directions to confuse Gaap, but failed as he quickly backed away to avoid both blows before blocking the berserker-like assault from Blitzo. He tried attacking high, low, and even with both axes combined, but the Prince was like the perfect dancer who was able to avoid each blow or block it without any difficulty. Blitzo then jumped up and brought both axes down as Gaap raised his sword and blocked them both before punching Blitzo with a glowing fist.
Blitzo was sent flying, his grip on the weapons gone, as he crashed into another glass case of weapons. Growling, Blitzo grabbed two spears from ancient China during the Ming Dynasty. He threw the first one, which Gaap easily dodged, and then was forced back to avoid Blitzo's attempts to stab him multiple times with the other one. Blitzo swung the spear around, twirling with it as he attacked in a string of combos that had Gaap on the defense. He managed to push him close to a display of samurai armor and thrust with all his might but missed as Gaap spun to the left, the spear shattering the glass and piercing the armor. Gaap sliced the spear's pole in half with one quick downward chop.
He then tried to take Blitzo's head with a swift upper slice, but Bltizo was able to dodge it and grab a nearby katana that had fallen from display and used it to block another thrust. The two clashed again. This time, Blitzo was on the defense as he used the katana to block the blows, but eventually, one did get through. Blitzo gasped as the blade went into his chest, through the armor, and usually, that would be the end since his heart was right there.
But something inside, past the body armor, blocked it. Gaap's confusion was enough for Blitzo to knock the sword away and roll back, dropping the katana as well as he touched his chest. Slowly, he pulled out a ripped Twilight Sparkle doll.
Gaap only raised an eyebrow at the sight.
"I guess Friendship is Magic, huh?" Blitzo joked, only to run to avoid a fireball. "I thought we were doing that whole 'only doing physical combat thing'! Magic is cheating!"
Gaap's response was to fire more magic at him. Blitzo managed to bring the skit to a halt and grabbed a British Elizabethan-era halberd, where he went on the attack again. Gaap, this time, made his sword covered in flames as Blitzo was forced to block not only the blows but also the flames. He tried to sweep and chop, but Gaap was too quick for him, and eventually, the flames were too much for Blitzo, and he was forced to drop the halberd and make for a new weapon.
He spotted an enormous blade known as a Zweihander and grabbed it, only to soon drop it from its weight as he struggled to lift it. After a few seconds of trying to do so, he gave up and grabbed a mace instead. He charged forward at Gaap with a war scream and brought the mace down, only for Gaap to use a small shield spell to block it and grab the weapon by the mantle. Blitzo struggled to move it, but Gaap's Goetia strength was stronger.
"Any other moves you wish to use?" Gaap asked in mild amusement.
"Yeah, this one," Blitzo said before bringing his foot up right between Gaap's legs. This actually did hurt him and make him yelp at a high pitch before Blitzo head-butted him in the face. He then ran out of the room as Gaap struggled to recover.
"That's...cheating!" Gaap shouted.
"Pot meet fucking kettle!" Blitzo shouted back, but the sight of Gaap preparing a large spell made him run faster. "Ah, crap!"

Meanwhile, Stella heard the sounds of fighting elsewhere in the manor and paused for a second as she waited for things to calm down, especially after the manor shook. She had suspected that Blitzo was already inside, fighting Gaap in the manor. The chaos that was heard and seen in his wake felt like it. While a part of her was tempted to look for Blitzo, she held herself from doing so, as Stella knew she would only get in the way.
Instead, she was making her way as carefully as possible to the head office of Prince Gaap. She had seen it on the tour but never gone in it. If what she suspected was inside it, then it would be valuable information. She slowly made her way down the hall at the top floor of the manor and paused before looking around the corner. The door to Gaap's personal office was there; however, there were two guards, both Hellhounds, in front of it. Both doing their best to not seem nervous.
Taking a deep breath, Stella slowly made her way forward, which caught their attention.
"Isn't that Prince's Gaap's love or something?" One whispered to the other.
"I think so..."
Years of noble lessons had made her stand tall and strong. "I have an order from my lover. Prince Gaap says this is urgent."
The two looked at each other before saluting. "Of course, My Lady. What is-"
He and his partner didn't get a chance to ask anymore as Stella quickly pulled out the machine gun she kept hidden and sprayed them both with bullets. Their bodies shook a bit before collapsing against the wall, their blood streaking down as their dead, lifeless weight forced them down. Taking a deep breath, Stella hurried to the door, and thankfully, it was unlocked.
Entering inside, she saw that it was no different from her former husband's office room. Filled with books, papers, file cabinets, a few photos, fancy decorations, and a computer with a working desk and some chairs. Stella sat in front of the computer and turned it on. Naturally, it asked for a password.
"...Alright, Gaap. Let's see if you were that obsessed with me," Stella whispered as she typed in her name.
A second later, she was in.
Smirking, she continued to look through his files, papers, and contacts and realized there was a vast treasure trove of information. Information that would be useful for the Civil War. She went into his bank accounts, and, much to her chuckle, the same password worked.
"Oh, I'm going to enjoy this."

"Fucking sick fuck."
That was what Kairi said as she looked at the trapped Angel of Fate, who was trapped in his personal Hell. The bodies of the workers here were lying in pools of their own blood, thanks to the work of her friends. Each of them was in dark grey armor that looked almost knight-like, mixed with kevlar and dragon scales. Their bodies are entirely covered, save for specific areas, such as horns, tails, wings, and halos. However, what was unique was that most of them shared a mix of both demonic and angelic traits. Others were one or the other.
Something you would not usually see in Heaven or Hell.
She walked forward to look at the Angel of Fate with sympathy. "I'm sorry, Xelka. We weren't fast enough."
The Angel of Fate barely could respond in his state. The tortured existence barely allowed anything but somber tears and cries of pain.
Walking beside Kairi was a cloaked, white wolf-like angelic being with furry, white wings, a dark grey halo, and blue, glowing eyes. He was taller than most and growled. "We should make Prince Gaap pay for this."
"I think it's gonna be taken care of," Kairi said with a sigh. "Besides, the council sent us here to do a specific job. And we're risking a lot being in Hell."
"How did Gaap even know where to find one of the sanctuaries?" The angel wolf looked at his companion. "Few, if any, know we exist, let alone where our homes are on Earth."
"Someone had to have talked," Kairi said before spitting on the ground. "But that's for another day. Let's give him the peace he wants."
Taking her handgun out, Kairi aimed at the Angel of Fate's head, muttered a prayer, and fired. The bullet went right through the cranium, instantly killing them and causing the body to go limp as the system died with him. And yet, there was a final sigh from the body.
A sigh of relief.
"...It's done," The Angel Wolf said as he motioned to take the body down so they could bring it with them. "So you think this Blitzo and his team will be useful to us in the future?"
"I have a feeling they will be. This Civil War is gonna affect us all, even those of us who want nothing to do with it," Kairi sighed as she rubbed her neck. "Better to take what advantages we can. But that's that higher-up's call. Besides, if what I suspect is true, it is better to have him as a friend than an enemy."
"Why?"
"...Because I've been watching his group since his daughter let me go. And after what I've seen at the attack on the Hazbin Hotel? I think he's a Reaper."

Outside the manor was a last stand by the remaining forces of Prince Gaap. Having lost all three areas of the island's power, combined with the airships finally breaking through the barrier and their Prince unaccounted for, it was clear that the island was falling to the enemy. Many at this point had given up and fled for the shores to try and escape. Others had surrendered to the mechanical Space Marines and were being held captive. A few chose death over surrender, and the remaining ones decided to give it all one last defense point in the hopes that Prince Gaap would do something to turn it around.
The last of the commanders had set up everything they had about half a mile from the manor's grounds. All soldiers, mages, weapons, and remaining monsters were in place for a final stand. This led to all the invading forces clashing with them from all directions. Mechanical Space Marines led assaults and took cover while being slaughtered by the defenders, who were taking three down for every one they lost.
"You know? You gotta give these soldiers credit! They're either really loyal to the Prince, or their paychecks are worth their lives!" Loona shouted as she ducked under a ditch and leaned out to fire a modified M4-X assault rifle. She nailed two more of Prince Gaap's goons in the head before needing to duck from a few magical lightning attacks from some leftover mages.
Fortunately, Sakura was there to provide cover by landing in front of her and using her blades to slice in the air. Normally, metal would be a conductor for lightning, but Sakura had made sure her blades were adjusted with special metal for spells. With each swipe, she knocked the spells away and made sure Loona was untouched. The mages then tried to summon bigger spells, but multiple cracks from high-powered sniper rifles made sure they didn't get a chance.
"We should make sure they get decent burials when this is over," Moxxie said over the radio as he reloaded his rifle. Next to him, Artemis was finishing her magazine of bullets before looking over to him.
"Why?"
"Honestly, any good opponent deserves respect when they're dead," Moxxie said as he took aim and fired a shot right between the eyes of an Imp who was attempting to use a nearby heavy machine gun.
"I guess, but I'm not digging. Let the tin heads handle it," Artemis replied as she fired at the gas tank of a flamethrower user. It exploded and burned not just the sinner demon using it but the others near him as well.
Closer to the line was Millie, who had been sneaking around through the dust, smoke, and chaos with her knives ready. Next to her was The Gentlemen, who had his pistol out. He quickly identified where one of their ammo depots was and pointed out that the sooner they ran out of ammo, the easier it would be to finish them off.
"Still worried about Blitz?" He asked as they crawled closer to a large burned vehicle and winced a bit as they pressed against it. He really wasn't getting any younger.
"A bit," Millie whispered as she looked through the shattered glass of the window. None of the soldiers there spotted them as they were too busy loading containers of their ammo onto dollies and heading off to wherever they were needed on the defense line. "I know he's good and all, but taking on a Goetia Prince on your own? There were a few times when Stolas joined us on some jobs as a bonding experience. Those jobs didn't even last twenty minutes, thanks to him."
"Blitzo might be a headstrong and emotional being when it comes to being an assassin, but he's also methodical and focused," Roger answered as he and Millie nodded to each other and charged forward. He got first blood by firing his pistol at the nearest lookout while Millie threw three knives that found their points into the neck of a large lion-looking demon. The two jumped and went to work.
Millie, being the younger of the two, was the speed who dashed around and sliced anyone with her knives. She was upset she had to leave her chainsaw ax behind, but it wasn't exactly a stealthy weapon. Meanwhile, Roger was the one who ducked behind the crates of ammo and picked off anyone with a well-placed shot, even getting behind one demon and snapping his neck easily.
Once they were done, they planted the C4, got out of there, and pressed the button to send it aflame. Roger then continued his conversation by turning to Millie. "Do you have faith in him?"
"Of course," Millie said.
"Then have faith he'll pull out whatever insane stunt he has for this," Roger said before getting his radio. "Billy, how much longer until-"
"Just need five more minutessssssssss!"
"You said that ten minutes ago."
"Hey, ssssssetting this sssssshit up is not easy! Unless you want an uncontrolled outbreak, I suggest you let me do my work!"
The two looked at each other and shrugged before making their way to the next ammo dump.

I fucking hate magic, Blitzo thought to himself as he dodged a magically constructed sword that nearly took his head off. He had made his way up the stairs to the second floor only to find Prince Gaap teleporting right in front of him. Blitzo dodged another stab, but that did little to save him from another telepathic push that sent him down the stairs.
Gaap followed but summoned a dark energy wave that flowed through the staircase like a river, slammed Blitzo, and sent him down even harder. He screamed as the energy coursed through his veins like fire burning through his bloodstream. It slammed him into the floor of the first floor hard, and he felt ready to throw up. Gaap wasn't done with him as his eyes began to glow a dark purple, and tentacles came out of the ground, grabbing him from every limb he had, including his tail, as he was lifted up. Slowly, they began to pull back, stretching his body to its limit.
"Gaaah! Fuck!" Blitzo shouted. "You know this only makes me get a turn-on!"
Prince Gaap's response was to teleport in front of him and place the blade against his neck. "Are you quite finished with your vulgar speech, you deviant?"
"Give me...a few more minutes...and I'll have more for an hour..." Blitzo winced.
"Satan below. How Stolas could love a pathetic creature like you is beyond me," Prince Gaap snorted. "But then again, he was always a pathetic little bitch. The only thing I regret is not being there when he died so I could spit on his corpse."
That made Blitzo glare at him with pure hatred. "You...mother...fucker..."
"Did you really think you could beat me? I am a Prince of the Goetia family. You are nothing but a stupid, fucking, imp," Prince Gaap hissed.
Blitzo then slowly calmed down as he took a deep breath. "I'm not just a fucking imp..."
Suddenly, a mark on Blitzo's face, hidden from his white makeup, began to glow blue. The symbol was a large, thick, blue open circle or an inverted uppercase "U" shape forming the top portion. Extending downwards from the two ends of this curved shape were two short, thick, vertical black lines. These vertical lines then each turn outwards at a 90-degree angle, forming two short, thick, horizontal black lines that extend in opposite directions.
It only took Gapp three seconds to recognize the symbol, and he quickly turned pale. Frozen in utter shock and terror. "Y-Y-You..."
With blue, glowing eyes, Blitzo slowly brought his limbs backward and screamed as the blue and white flames engulfed the tentacles that forced them to let go of him. Gaap backed away as the imp slowly began to get up, the fire surrounding him as a sinister smile appeared on his lips.
"...I...AM... DEATH!!!!!!"
Suddenly, there was a burst of black and blue energy that filled the area with a shuttering light as Gaap was thrown back.
***
Throughout the island, everyone suddenly went cold.
A wave of sinister, death-like energy filled the souls of every demon as all fighting suddenly stopped. For Loona, Moxxie, and Millie, this was a familiar energy for them. They had felt this at the Hazbin Hotel, and now it was here. Their hair curled, and their skin crawled as the terror of a dark shadow loomed over them. Breathing became harder, and their hearts were beating like crazy. Instincts inside of them were telling them to run. Run away as far as possible and even swim if need be.
"This...is..." Moxxie whispered in terror.
"Just like then..." Millie muttered. Her hands were sweating so much that her blades fell from her grip.
Wolf instincts that were the basis of every Hellhound activated in Loona. All of them screamed at her to do anything, from running away to playing dead. Her tail went right between her legs, and she nearly felt her bladder ready to leak out from the intensity of the power. It was bad the first time, but now it was even stronger and more profound the second time. And the smell.
It smelled like pure death.
For those who did not feel it, the four hired assassins all reacted in various ways. For Artemis, her mind turned back to those days of hers as a salve, and she whimpered while curling up. For the first time since she was a child, she felt utterly helpless and wanted nothing to do with whatever this thing was. Sakura took a few steps back and began muttering in Japanese. She had known many demons in her life, but nothing was like this. Something that didn't even feel demonic and yet ancient at the same time. Billie Bile, still working on getting his creation ready, had stopped and nearly dropped what he was holding. Every scale of his body was shivering, and he had a feeling whatever it was that had created such a wave of power was beyond anything he could make.
Although he was also scared and stunned, The Gentlemen knew this feeling very well. Having been in the business for far longer than any of them, he knew the rumors, whispers, and tales. He slowly turned to the manor and realized what just happened. More importantly, he realized who it was most likely that was causing this.
"Blitzo...what have you done?" Roger whispered to himself in horror and worry. "Why did you...why did you agree to a deal?"
For the others, many of Gaap's men had finally found their last straw. Many just gave up and ran in whatever direction they could from whatever was causing this power. Some just decided to take the easy way out, choosing a means of quick death rather than whatever was coming for them. Even the mechanical Space Marines, designed to not fear death, paused in their fighting as their systems felt overwritten by a strange emotion they had no words for in their databases.
Eventually, the power slowly receded, but it was still there. But what was it that was causing it was the question that echoed in everyone's mind?
***
Prince Gaap had spent his entire life learning about magic and the means to access various powers in his efforts to establish himself not only as a prime Goetia but also earn the love of Stella. He had to be the best to achieve this, and power was necessary. Gaining it had many forms. Some are legit, others forbidden.
Among them, he learned of one way to gain power, but at a cost.
Much as everyone liked to think there was only Good or Evil in the world, there existed a third power. A neutral one. One that was so powerful it was beyond morality.
Death.
The eternal fate of all life one way or another.
Death itself was said to be a being force as old and just as powerful as God.
It took no sides and focused solely on one thing: ensuring that the souls of the living properly reached the afterlife. So long as the balance of souls was maintained, then it was satisfied.
However, some fools like to play with death. Mixing with powers, they were not meant to handle. When someone ruined the balance, Death sent its own agents to deal with them.
The Reapers.
Beings that were neither angelic, demonic, or mortal. Beings that were beyond the mindset of most powerful beings as they were empowered by death itself. Reapers were those who had made a deal with Death to serve them in exchange for a wish.
They were so rare to see that some even doubted they existed.
But they did.
And Gaap was looking at one right now.
As the dark blue flames began to subside, a figure strolled toward the stunned Prince Gaap. He was no longer an Imp, even if his figure was familiar. Blitzo had undergone significant changes thanks to his hidden power.
He was now a menacing, shadowy figure wreathed in vibrant blue flames and crackling electrical energy. A dark, almost black, silhouetted body with jagged edges of sinister ghostly nature.
He had glowing white, almond-shaped eyes without pupils and a wide, toothy grin filled with sharp, pointed teeth. His cured horns were engulfed in the blue flames that formed a fiery mane. There was nothing beyond his eyes and mouth but the eternal flaming void of the realm of death itself. Showing the hollowness that was inside of him now. The tattoo he usually had on his head was gone, and now it was glowing bright blue in the center of his chest over a pure black spectral image of his previous clothing.
Raising his arms, crackling with the electrical energy, a series of bright blue burning energy blades erupted from the top of his wrists, as well as chains of blue thunder. With a dark chuckle, Blitzo the Reaper spoke, "MY TURN, BITCH!"
(Drawn by https://x.com/BainCantCook)
With his blue flames blazing behind him, Blitzo streaked for Gaap, who barely had time to roll out of the way. When he attempted to back off, Blitzo turned around and back-slashed him in the shoulder. Despite it being a single cut, the wound blazed with burning pain as the blood boiled as it came out. Gaap hissed and felt actual pain for the first time since the fight began. He was not on the defensive as Blitzo slashed him with his blades in a barrage so fast that Gaap was forced to use a combination of his magical blade and his free hand to create wards to defend from all sides.
Blitzo then retreated his blades to grab both hands of Gaap. He then threw himself forward, headbutted him, and proceeded to kick himself off the taller demon's chest and into the air. Whipping his chains forward while in mid-flip, Blitzo connected them to the wall behind Gaap, going over each of his shoulders, before the chains dragged Blitzo down with both feet extended.
The Reaper's heels connected with Gaap's chest and he was sent flying through the room, through a set of double doors, and into a long hallway with paintings. Spitting out blood, Gaap growled as he got up and summoned glowing orbs of starlight that levitated around him. The moment Blitzo showed up, he shoved his hand out and sent them forward like missiles. Blitzo only chuckled as he suddenly started moving forward, dodging them and even slicing them apart with his blades.
Gaap continued to throw starlight missile after starlight missile in a panic as he backed away. When that didn't work he pressed both and the ground and summoned large spikes of ice that started freezing the hallway as headed towards Blitzo. The Reaper didn't even once panic. He just took a deep breath and unleashed a streaming hail of blue and black fire that instantly burned the ice, stopping the ice storm dead cold. It didn't even melt, it evaporated into thin air the moment it contacted the flames.
Continuing his retreat and barely avoiding the flames, Gaap tried to do another spell but Blitzo unleashed his chains and wrapped them again around the prince's hands. A wave of electrical energy went through his very body as if being jolted by electrical cables. Grabbing the chains, Blitzo then swung the chains towards the windows of the hallway, shattering them and sending Gaap into a fancy zen garden.
Wincing, Gaap used his magic to pull the shards of glass out of his body and try to slowly heal from the wounds, but an angelic bullet to the side made him lose concentration and scream in pain. Blitzo, already having jumped through the window, was having no intentions of letting his prey go for even a second. He fired his last magazine of angelic bullets at the Goetia Prince who created a strong energy shield to block them. Once he ran out, Blitzo went on the attack again. Wounded this time, Gaap was forced to take several blows from the energy blades before he teleported away.
The teleportation took Gaap to the outside of his manor just in front of the doors. He clutched his wounds and gasped for air as his blood started seeping on the ground. This is impossible! Impossible!
But the pain was real. He was facing a Reaper. A fucking Reaper! For the first time Gaap realized that the situation was beyond control. He could already hear his army failing him, the N.O.R.N system was broken, he was facing a reaper and...and...
"Am...Am I going...to lose?" He whispered to himself as he shook his head. No, he couldn't lose. He had come too far. Sacrificed so much. Worked so hard. Everything had finally come into his hands. All he ever wanted. Power. Titles. Stella. He couldn't lose to a fucking Imp!
The doors behind him exploded as Gaap turned around and saw them covered in blue flames. From those flames came Blitzo who was still grinning with his blades extended. Gaap growled as he stood up fully and summoned all his magical power. He was going to end this once and for all. "Just die already!"
He summoned all his energy into a giant ball of multiple different types of magic, all coming together in a single orb, and, with a great cry, unleashed the ball of energy at Blitzo, who didn't move. There was a sudden burst of magic and light that shook the surrounding area as the explosion went off; the entire front of the manor's main entrance was blown away, as were many other parts of the manor's front. Gaap himself was pushed back by the intensity of the explosion, which caused him to cover his face with his arms as he shut his eyes.
When the multi-colored explosion finally ended, he slowly lowered his arms to see that his entire manor's central front entrance had been completely destroyed. It was barely standing, with a large hole in the center and multiple burn marks from the aftermath of magical outbursts everywhere. If anyone was in the area of the explosion, they were surely destroyed to the last atom.
There was no sign of Blitzo anywhere. Had he finally gotten him?
Suddenly, Gaap gasped as he felt something enter his back and go right through his chest. He looked down in horror and choked on his blood as Blitzo's energy blade went right through like a knife through melted butter.
Blitzo's voice then whispered behind him. "SURPRISE."
Suddenly, Gaap felt his very insides exploding with pain as the dark black burning energy of entropy itself went through his body. Its currents caused his entire body to shiver and explode in various parts as his one arm and leg burst inwardly from the energy. His organs were damaged and rippled, and his bones cracked from the straight. Even his skin started to peel. He was in so much pain that he barely could scream.
Once the damage was done, Blitzo retreated his blade and let the Prince fall on his stomach, gasping for breath as he lay half-dead. Blizo's body was engulfed in flames for a bit before he slowly returned to his natural self. Once he was back to his normal body, Blitzo gasped and clutched his heart before falling to his knees. One hand pressed against the ground as he took a few deep breaths and threw up before shaking his head.
"Fuck, I hate doing that," Blitzo coughed as he got up.
"...you...uhhh..." Gaap could barely speak as he struggled to move, barely clinging to life.
Blitzo slowly walked around him and looked down at the broken Goetia Prince. He glared down and snarled. "Feel that? That's the feeling of helplessness. Of pain. Of death. That's what Stolas felt, and it's my gift to you."
"Please...I...am...more useful...to you alive..." Gaap coughed as blood escaped their throat. "I have...m-m-money...r-r-resources...i-i-info..."
"Not anymore, you don't."
Blitzo looked over his shoulder to see Stella walking towards them; her outfit was a bit burned and ripped, but she was no worse for wear. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "How did you escape?"
"Good karma from your daughter," Stella answered, which made Blitzo even more confused, but her focus was on Gaap. "I managed to get into his computer. I gained access to his accounts, information, details, and more. All of it I sent to our family's computer back home."
"Nice," Blitzo said with a smirk.
"Also, next time, try to avoid getting me blown up," Stella muttered in annoyance.
Blitzo sheepishly pointed to Gaap. "Hey, that was all him. Not me."
Prince Gaap slowly started to crawl to her and reached out with a hand. "S-S-Stella...help me...please..."
She lowered her gaze and looked into his fading eyes.
"I...I did this...all for you...my love..." He pleaded in desperation and sorrow as he reached out for her. His eyes are still filled with the adoration he's always held. "M-M-My best f-f-friend..."
"My best friend died years ago," Stella answered as she pushed his hand away. "And I have never loved you, Gaap. And after everything you have done to me and my family? I can safely say that I hate you. I hate you with everything that I am."
The look in his eyes, so broken and hurt, showed that such words hurt more to him than any damage his body was suffering from. He let out a shattered hearted sob as he turned on his side, whimpering and curled up like a child who had a nightmare. All his efforts, his dreams, and his ambitions were gone. Rejected and broken like his own heart
And now he was left with nothing.
Blitzo slowly pulled out his flintlock pistol, armed with an angelic steel bullet, and handed it over to Stella. She was surprised at first and looked at Blitzo who nodded. "For your son."
"...For Octavius," She said with determination as she took the pistol. "And for Stolas."
"For Stolas," Blitzo repeated. "Just make sure to shoot in the heart. I need his head intact for what I need to do next."
With a gulp and slight shake in her hand, Stella pulled the flintlock back and aimed directly for Prince Gaap who didn't even move, beg, or whimper. He just stared at her with broken eyes and yet even now she could tell that all he saw was her so-called "grace" that had enraptured him. With both hands holding the gun, Stella whispered her final words to her former best friend.
"Goodbye, Gaap."
BANG!
The bullet made it's way right through his chest as a blood spurt rippled out. Gaap gasped for air and pain before his eyes rolled to the back of his head, the light in them fading as he went limp on the ground. His chest rose one last time before he exhaled his last breath and in a few seconds there was nothing from the dead Prince.
Nothing but the smell of his already decaying corpse.
The gun slipped out of Stella's hand as she took a moment to close her eyes and let a single tear drop down for one once close childhood friend, but she soon wiped it away and shook her head. "It's over..."
"Not yet," Blitzo said as he pulled out the soul-summoning orb he got from the Man in Black. He put the necklace around the limp head of Gaap and waited. Suddenly, the orb began to glow green as Gaap's eyes also turned into a glowing greenish color that made Stella step back in surprise.
"Can you understand me?" Blitzo asked.
"Yes," Gaap's voice spoke in a monotone.
"I want to know everything about the Big Hand. The real people behind this revolution you are doing," Blitzo growled.
"I know very little. They came to me, offering me a chance to get my revenge on Stolas and claim Stella as my wife. In return, I was to support their forces with money, supplies, and equipment. My N.O.R.N. system was also to be theirs to use as a means to help win the war." Gaap's corpse spoke.
"What magic is this?" Stella asked in shock.
"You don't want to know," Blitzo said before turning back to the semi-undead corpse. "What's their goal?"
"According to them, their main goal is to free Hell from the rulership of the Royal Family. They believe that Lucifer has fallen weak thanks to his daughter's Hazbin Hotel system. They seek to return to the old glory days of Hell. Although, I suspect they have another motive as well."
"What motive?" Blitzo asked with narrow eyes.
"I don't know."
Blitzo muttered to himself for a bit before asking. "Who is the Big Hand? I need names."
"There is only one I know. Green Jack. His real name is Plutarice."
Both Stella and Blitzo looked at each other in alarm before Blitzo asked, "Mammon's son?"
"Yes."
"...Fuck," Blitzo sighed as he rubbed his forehead. "You know what? That's for another day."
"...Can he answer any question?" Stella asked as Blitzo turned to her and nodded. She then walked up to the semi-living corpse of her former best friend. "Did you ever regret killing my son?"
"At first, I did, but then I figured it was better in the long run. Your children were a liability-"
He didn't finish as Stella smashed his head over and over again with her foot. Screaming and cursing him over and over again until there was nothing left of his face but mush. The green orb went dull again as Stella took a few deep breaths and turned away in a huff. Blitzo slowly got the necklace and pocketed it. "Well, I think I got the info I needed before that."
"Sorry," Stella whispered as she looked at the manor, clutching her hands over and over.
"Don't. I understand," Blitzo said as he walked over and put a hand on her side. His phone then rang, and he answered it quickly. "Octavia? Yeah, it's over. We won."
He then smiled and nodded before handing the phone to Stella. "It's your girl."
Stella grabbed it quickly and pressed it against her ear. "Octavia?"
"Mom! Thank the stars!" Octavia shouted before letting out a soft sob. "I thought...I was so worried..."
With watering eyes of her own, Stella softly smiled and felt all the horrible things she had gone through the past few days wash away upon hearing her sweet daughter's voice. "I'm okay, sweetie. Blitz...he saved me... it's over..."
"...Mom, we had a council. The Goetia Family. All of us heads..." Octavia said as Stella fell quiet, allowing her to speak. "...I was able to get support...a lot of it...but we didn't have the votes...the official degree of the family is that we're taking no sides as a united family...but we're free to fight for whichever side..."
Stella closed her eyes and side. She figured this would be the most likely outcome. The Civil War had now come to the Goetia Family. However, one advantage they had was that having defeated Prince Gaap, they earned what he owned by right of conquest. It would be a big help for them in the future.
But that would be for another day.
"Octavia? Listen to me. First, I'm proud of you, and your father would be too," Stella whispered with a soft smile. "Second, we'll discuss this another day. Right now? All I want to do is get home and hold you, sweetie."
"I... I'd like that... I'll send our forces to come reinforce you right away."
"I'll see you soon; I love you," Stella said as she hung up and handed the phone back to Blitzo. "Thank you."
"No worries," Blitzo said as he looked over at the damage his raid had caused. He sighed heavily. "And to think. This is only the beginning. I still got those five assholes to kill."
"...Well, I think they don't stand a chance," Stella said with a smirk as Blitzo gave a grin back.
The sound of the front gates bursting open as the two turned their heads to see Moxxie, Millie, Loona, Sakura, Roger, Artemis, and Billie Bille, leading the group, rush in with guns ready. Billie Bille had a strange-looking flamethrower with a toxic sign on it and a gas mask ready on his face. "Alright you bastardsssss! Prepare to face my greatest...cre...ation..."
They all stood there as Blitzo and Stella stared back with the destruction of the manor and the dead corpse of Prince Gaap around them. The former then smirked and waved. "Yo. What took you fucks so long?"
"Oh, come on!" Billie Bille pouted as he pulled off his gas mask and hissed. "I wanted to really try this new liquid death I created! It was going to melt the ssssskin off and cause the eyeballssss to explode!"
"You can test it on whatever goons managed to flee the battle," Loona said as she walked past him and quickly went to check on her father. "You good, Dad?"
"Yeah. Even better? I got the name for our next target," Blitzo said before stretching his back. "But that's for another day. I just want to get off this rock, find a hot tub, and sleep in it for sixteen hours."
"I could go for that too," Moxie admitted as he rubbed his shoulder.
"So I take it the contract is complete?" Artemis asked as she slung her sniper rifle over her shoulder.
"Yup," Blitzo said as he turned to the four he hired and smiled in thanks. "You earned your pay and then some. Plus, we took down Prince Gaap's island. We're gonna be in the fucking history books for this one."
"Fuck yeah! Everyone's gonna know our name!" Billie Bille shouted in celebration.
"Hmm, this was a nice final mission. But I think I'll retire for good and head home this time," Roger said as he pulled out a cigar and started lighting it up. "Maybe I'll take up bingo to compensate?"
"From raiding a nearly impossible island fortress to taking up bingo?" Blitzo asked in amusement.
"Have you seen old ladies play bingo? They play it hardcore," He replied with a smirk as the others chuckled.
"Well, I intend to head back to the orphanage at once. After a proper celebration. Sushi and sake? On me," Sakura offered.
"Fuck yeah, I can dig it!" Millie said with a cheer.
"Well, we better head back to Sir Pentious," Moxxie said as they made their way back to the entrance as a group. "You should also probably let your sisters know you are okay, Blitz."
Blitzo blinked. "Sisters?"
"Yeah, Tillie and Barbie Wire," Moxxie said as he turned to his boss, who had a blank look on his face. "What's wrong?"
"But I only have one-" His eyes widened, and he let out a nervous chuckle. "Uh, I'll catch up with you guys. I...uh...have a weapon I need...to...pick up..."
Before the others could say anything, Blitzo ran off; he hurried until he was in the manor's ruins and quickly pulled out his phone. "Please, no. Please no. Please, no."
He accessed a Word file he had that had a list of all the most essential things in his life. Things he had written down in case he ever forgot them whenever he used his power, as it was the price each time for use. He accessed the one that had names and looked at them before coming across what his old self had written long ago.
Barbie Wire:
Your Twin Sister. She's your other half. Acrobatic star. Cunning. Smart. Teases you a lot. Looks most like Mom but has Dad's attitude a lot. She's famous, rich, and bisexual. Look up "Important Events" for incidents that you two have done together that might come up. Also, she loves to make fun of you a lot.
There was a photo of her with the details.
He didn't know this person.
It was like looking at a stranger.
Sliding down the burned wall, Blitzo covered his face with his hands.
He had avenged Stolas, but at what cost?
And how much more was it going to cost him when it was over.
He didn't know.
And deep down?
He was afraid to know.
