Valentine's Day had turned into a roaring success, and Avery finally came to realize that perhaps not every witch was a whore—That there was a record of standard. Though Aria didn't fault them all that much, it was their upbringing and being sheltered by those like their families that brought them to treat witches like that.
And so when Aria explained that not every witch liked their arse to be grabbed or to be complimented on their arse, they started getting confused.
"Then what the bloody hell am I suppose to say to a gal?"
"Merlin sakes you lot are completely thick, what else do witches have—And please I swear if you say tits I'm smacking you upside the head." She had stopped Avery just in time, at least Rabastan had gotten more of the basics down and in private he was a much better flirt than in public.
"Er, you have a very nice nose...?"
"Mother Diana Crone, already here, bare with me." She went to grab his hand and pulled up three fingers, he allowed it for the most part but she hadn't missed the strange glance he had given either of his mates.
"Rule of three, eyes, hair, smile."
"That's it? That's you're bloody secret?" She let go of the bloke's hand and pinched the brink of her nose in complete damnation.
"Here watch..." She whispered, and she turned to a random Ravenclaw student in the year below them all as she smiled in a greeting. "Sarah darling, I love what you did with your hair this morning."
"Thank you! I saw it in witch weekly, I had to try it."
"Could you show me tonight, I always have trouble containing my waves." The two birds had gone back and forth until Aria pushed the bird to go to class.
"See, was that so difficult to understand?"
"I don't want to bloody talk about witchy weekly, gods that's any blokes' worst nightmare."
"And you think I want to read that trash magazine? Sweet Merlin that's not the point. If you compliment a witch on her hair you've noticed her. That's the point. It's a conversation starter." Avery groaned, he was in complete disagreement and attempting to argue. But Rabastan told him to knock it off while McNair attempted on his own account.
And shocker to both Rabastan and Avery, he was doing rather well with the witch.
In Avery's surprise, he was too busy to see Rabastan's pout, and she groaned as she came to stand closer to the lad and in his hold. He's been so needly lately that Aria simply was in awe that he turned into an utter teddy bear, even risking it now as he held onto her and kissed her cheek.
"If you keep acting like that your mates are going to say you've turned soft."
"They wouldn't dare." He said just behind her ear and she groaned out loud.
"Why does it sound like they're afraid of you?"
"Because they are." Her eyes dulled up towards him in record of being disappointed with he said.
"Oh Reggie! I wanted to tell you your essay was brilliant. Slughorn agreed with me, he's sending an owl to your parents about your grand improvement."
"Merlin, Ari don't scare me like that...I can't afford another owl home."
"Nonsense it's a good parcel." He smiled in record but then scratched his head.
"Er...Can you not call me Reggie?"
"Well I'll be...Too old for it are you?"
"Yes?" She pouted her lips now too, and Rabastan closed his eyes as he slightly pleaded with Regulus to swallow his pride for the sake of Aria's feeling.
But the second she let out a small sniffle the lad caved. "Wait, Ari no it's fine you can call me Reggie...it's perfect. I love it."
"Oh you need more of a backbone love, but since you said it's perfect it's staying." Pinching his cheeks in reward for his agreement to the nickname.
"Did Aria give you a pet name too?" Regulus muttered, trying to find himself some clarity in the mist of the almost couple. Apparently Lestrange was waiting for a better time to ask Aria if they wanted to make it official, but part of it was that he wanted to give some distance between the last time he fucked Barns to this commitment.
"Of course she does, but it's private."
"Now I have to hear it." He chimed, and this caught Avery's attention as well. And with the conversation with the random witch, McNair came over with a cutting grin however caught the tension.
"Apparently Roswell gave our mate a nickname and hasn't shared." She perked her lips and smirked. "I need some leverage, now I have to get going to—"
"I thought you're joining us in the library?" She shook her head and explained why she couldn't, part of her still hesitate in being with the entire group of them.
Whether it was the racist comments or the sexual innuendos, there was only so many times she could repeat herself before it became old. It was obvious that they weren't used to a witch ordering them around, but here she found herself dreading being in the library with them and decided to lie about needing to be elsewhere.
And Rabastan hadn't caught on to it—But Regulus did.
"I'll see you later then?" She questioned and Rabastan didn't allow her depart without a goodbye kiss and thus the Ravenclaw was off elsewhere.
"Where'd she say she needed to be?"
"Tutoring Wes? Wesley? I forgot the bloke's name." Regulus laughed, snorting as he did so.
"Did she now? Best watch out, heard he had a few nice things to say about her too...Shite I forgot my textbook. I'll meet you there." And thus Regulus had escaped as well while the elder Slytherin students found themselves going off to the library, but Raabstan still felt mildly uncomfortable with what Reg had mentioned.
Was Wesley as bad as Lockhart?
Regulus on the other hand gone straight to her classroom and she narrowed her brows...
"Er..."
"You told 'Bas you're tutoring Wesley?" She groaned and opened the door enough for him to come in.
"I can't sit with them Reg, it's awful. Gods I feel degraded just being around them."
"I know what you mean, I'm sorry you feel that way...But I'm sure if you told 'Bas—" She disagreed in the instant, it worried her how the truth would make him either angry or offended.
"What is it that they that makes you feel degraded?"
"How many times am I suppose to voice how wrong Avery is about witches? McNair is fine for the most part, he just piggybacks. And Rabastan wouldn't make those comments in front of me at least, but it's just all of it Reg. It's exhausting." He sighed in revelation, but he did feel an ounce of pride to be given the truth of the situation—Or better yet, figured the lot of it out.
"I best be off, have fun tutoring Wes."
"Hm, I do need a breather too."
"Is he that overbearing? Merlin Ari, speak up about this."
"It's still slightly odd that just last year I'd be sporting bruised knees because he'd trip me, but now he's a pouting mess if I haven't kissed him an allotted five minutes...Call it culture shock but even Aidan wasn't like this." Regulus was completely out of his element but the least he could do was give her some reassurance..
"Isn't that what couples do? They dote on each other, or is it the honeymoon phase."
"We're not dating yet."
"Yet. He's pitching for a good word Ari, he's smart I'll give him that. But if you want him to fuck off you can just say so." She shrugged, and with that the conversation had ended with a final smile and thus Regulus made his way down to the library.
And of bloody course he ran into Wesly.
"Oi...Wes right?"
"And what can I help you with little snake?" The regret of starting a conversation was prevalent as he groaned with his eyes closed. Which gave the bird the perfect opportunity to soak in the beauty that was Regulus Black.
"Ari used you as a lie to get a break from those idiots, could you—"
"Ah, I'll take my leave. If you see Ari tell her she could use me as a lie anytime." And thus Regulus nodded and went along towards the lot of them, and within five seconds he realized what Aria had meant.
He didn't notice it before as it was their natural behavior, but this was certainly not appropriate for a witch to hear. And Aria was far too pure to hear this bullshite.
Aria did join them for dinner, but Regulus payed attention to how silent she was in the midst of it all. And although Rabastan had asked her a few times if she was feeling alright, it wasn't a complete lie to tell him she was simply tired.
She was, more than normal as it was a rather feminine reason and she doubted sharing it would prove to be any help when dealing with this sexist bunch.
"I promise you I'm fine, just might have an early night..." She whispered back, and he returned the grin as he offered to sleep with her in the classroom.
"Think it's best if I get some rest in a real bed...Can't afford to be tired this weekend." Aria was still unsure if she felt enough to play tomorrow, but a game against Gryffindor was what she was counting down.
Course the Marauders made it damn near entertaining when they taunted playfully whenever she would pass them in the hall. Cracking jokes about birds or big cats, entirely on neutral ground—Until they find themselves on the pitch.
However she narrowed her attention for a slight moment to said Gryffindors and frowned. Remus wasn't at the table with the lads and she was starting to feel slightly worried.
"Any secrets you can share about strategy for the game? I'm curious."
"Unfortunately you'll be staying curious, the captain is still working it out." It was one of the few times she spoke that evening, unless it was to Regulus to the front of her or Rabastan to the side.
And unless she was spoken too she didn't try and make a conversation with either Avery and McNair, but they were too obnoxious to notice.
"Love I can take your patrol tonight if you aren't feeling up for it."
"You're sweet but I'll manage, Clem will wake me up from a nap and I'll go late." He didn't know how he felt about simply letting her go, yet there was no changing her mind when she's decided for herself.
With that being said she bid the lads goodnight and continued off with Clem upstairs—But in truth she simply did her homework in the common room in the company of her birds, it was a pleasant change. Especially when they decided to change the topic of interest to the game, the quidditch team shared that they were going to give it their all.
And Aria couldn't be more excited in that regard.
An elder year Ravenclaw decided that he'd join Aria so they could patrol quicker and return back to bed, and for the most part it was a light conversation until she caught Lupin walking rather quickly down the hall.
"Remus?... Ah I thought it was you. Are you feeling better?"
"I ugh—Madam Pomfry suggested I get some fresh air...I-I don't want you to get sick too Ari." She held her hands up in a white flag as she smiled and offered that the steam from any choice of tea would be good for him before bed.
"Alright, goodnight Rem...Get some rest yeah? It's not worth it to strain yourself for class tomorrow if you really don't feel well." She left with one last smile as Remus returned the reply and unknowing to her, his cheeks were more than red.
"Er, Remus wait!" She shouted, not that loudly as she didn't want to wait the pictures or ghosts that might be around. Following forward did she pick up the parchment that had fallen to the floor.
"You'd think the bloke would know his furry little secret by now, it's insulting at this point...Moony." At the sound of the nickname the large piece of parchment enacted in record of familiarity.
MR MOONY:
Presents his compliments to Ms. Aria Roswell for managing to secure to our most proud possessions.
MR. WORMTAIL:
Agrees with Mr.Moony that Ms.Roswell is a very bright witch, and suggests that she return it at one to any of us.
MR. PADFOOT:
Would like to register his astonishment that Ms.Roswell had even dared tried to steal from us.
MR. PRONGS:
Agree with all his mates above and wishes that she would tell Lily what a handsome bloke I am.

"Even in a bloody enchanted parchment do you manage to be all cocky in attitude—And sweet." She smiled down to Remus little comment, it was duly his voice that she heard whilst reading it...Well it was like that with all of them.
MR. PADFOOT:
I suggest that Mr.Moony pluck up the courage and ask Ms.Roswell out on a date.
MR. PRONGS:
I agree with Mr. Padfoot.
MR. WORMTAIL:
I agree that Mr.Moony should get a move on.
MR. MOONY:
I suggest both Mr. Padfoot and Mr. Prongs keeps their wits in mind before I—

Aria turned to see that her partner for tonights patrol returned and thus she withheld the parchment in her school robe and hurried along to get ready for bed. Clem's bed curtains were already closed and thus she too closed her own to feel protected and secure—Though she even added a small silencing charm around as she couldn't deny her curiosity for the object...Nor the surprise these lads would bring in this type of enchantment.
"Now what was Remus doing with this...I doubt this is a toy from Zonkos."
MR. MOONY:
Appreciates the concern but does suggest in returning this piece of parchment to one of us.
"Oh do you now, not until I get some answers." She shot back, and thus called upon another marauder.
MR. PRONGS:
Reiterates that this isn't meant to be in the hands of a Ravenclaw and it best it's returned to us Gryffindors.
"That's not conspiutious at all, and slightly conceded...Now tell me before I light this piece of parchment on fire."
MR. PADFOOT:
I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good.
"What does that mean?"
MR. WORMTAIL:
I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good.
"Okay but what does that mean, I know you lot aren't up to any good...If you haven't noticed the whole entire school does."
MR. MOONY:
I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good.
"Really Remus? Even you?" She groaned, spending her Thursday night talking to a parchment was not what she had planned on, at all.
MR.PRONGS:
I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good.

"And I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good too. Merlin it's like clockwork with—" Her mouth parted as she watched the ink make way and soak up in account to where it was called for...It was very hand drawn the likes of Hogwarts. Surely the work of Remus if—

"You stole my drawing!" She groaned shaking her head, she should've asked more questions if that was the case. Sweet Merlin did she feel like an idiot.
Parting the folds was Aria in for another surprise, one she had surely realized was the key to all their pranks and ominous knowledge of everyone.
But then she caught her name slightly bigger than the rest, they surely were keeping tabs on her—Hell her name was there and Clem's was absent...Which only meant that they really were keeping tabs on her.
She felt both offended and slightly relieved, that perhaps it was overprotective nature that Rabastan suddenly felt over her that they've always possessed.
The sudden thought hit her that she should give this back to them and soon, however in scanning for their names...They were all by the whomping willow.
"They must be waiting for him to shift back..." She mumbled, smiling sightly as she continued to look here and there to see who their targeted enemies were. But then she smirked, Rabastan was a clear one right next to Snape and the rest of their roommates.
Then there was Lily, Regulus...Victoria Barns.
Aria felt a strange comfort wash over her, that although she wasn't the best of friends with them...They still managed to find their own way—perhaps borderline stalkerish in a way, but it was the thought never the less.
The Ravenclaw was going to return it soon...Though after she made herself a copy of it.
