Simone, now in her pyjamas is seen lying awake in her bed with Liz fast asleep next to her. She slowly gets up, sneaking out of her room and down the stairs. She made it to the kitchen, pouring herself a glass of water and quickly drinking the entire glass before refilling it and repeating the action. She put the empty glass on the counter and let out a tired sigh.

Simone(whisper):... Why can't I stop...?

She couldn't help but ask herself the same question she had been asking herself with every bite of pizza she took.

Max:... Simone?

Her head darted to the entrance to the kitchen.

Simone: oh, d-dad I-

She only now realised she was crying, wiping away the tears.

Max: What's wrong, are you okay?

Simone: Y-Yeah I just...

She couldn't tell him what was really going on. But she always had her trump card.

Simone:... H-Had another dream about M-M-Mom is all...

Max pulls her into a hug, lightly patting her on the back and kissing the top of her head.

Max: It's alright.

She closed her eyes, leaning against him slightly.

Simone: T-Thank you...

She says softly. She pulls back, wiping away her tears.

Simone: Thank you... sorry about that.

Max: Honey, it's fine. Don't worry about it. It's okay to cry, especially about something like this.

Simone:... Thank you...

She squeaked out before walking out of the kitchen. She moves back up the stairs to fall asleep, but found herself stopping when she noticed someone standing outside her door.

Elizabeth:... Simone... You okay?

Simone: Y-Yes. Just a bad dream Lizzy.

She aproaches her, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the door.

Elizabeth: W-Wait.

She stops.

Elizabeth:... I-I've never been the best at... e-expressing my emotions but... I-I just want you to know that I really do, love you... A-And I wanna help you out in times like this...

Simone:...

Simone(Thinking): Gotta keep up this mask I made for her.

Simone smiles.

Simone: Thank you... and you can help me.

Elizabeth: I-I can?

Simone: Yes... lock the door on your way in~

She winks.

Elizabeth: E-Eep...
