Charlie lays in her bed, pyjamas on, messy hair, but not asleep. Just staring up at the ceiling. Her attention was only caught by a knock at her door. She glances over to see her father Henry.

Henry: Hey Charlotte. You still upset about Sammy?

Charlie: Yeah... but that's not all... You remember Simone?

Henry: of course.

Charlie:... w-well... I was checking on her yesterday... and I found out that... she has a g-girlfriend already!

She threw her arms up, letting them fall back down.

Charlie: I called in sick today because I just wanna cry even thinking about them together!

Henry softly sighs, walking into the room and sitting on the end of her bed.

Henry: Charlotte... Before me and your mother had begun dating, we were great friends. But then one day... she wasn't single anymore. I was in love, yes, but she had fallen in love with another. So, I chose to respect her choice and remained her friend. One day, they broke up. She came to me in her distress and one thing lead to another... and we got married!

Charlie:... that... actually isn't a bad idea... thanks dad!

She sat up and gave her dad a hug.
