Chapter Forty Eight

Third Person's POV

Seoul, 11 am KST.

They were both standing close in front of the smaller house. Namjoon held Jimin's arm and Jimin quickly denied his touch stepping away from him, Jimin looked at him with glaring eyes.

"What's with the stare, huh?" Namjoon asked him amused, "I'll get going, let's meet tomorrow." He added and was about to kiss the smaller but Jimin looked away.

"Alright, bye then." Namjoon said to him smiling, he was hoping Jimin would at least look at him but it didn't happen.

Jimin headed straight inside the House. Sighing deeply, as he felt himself getting guilty at the way he treated Namjoon earlier.

Jimin chose to ignore the growing guilt in him and was about to walked inside his room when he heard his Hyung talking to someone inside his room. His door was not fully close and Jimin could see him, sitting and leaning against the headboard. He looked broken and the younger's heart clenches, can't bear looking at his older brother like this.

Jimin tore his gaze away and leaned against the wall, look at what he had done. Seokjin looked really hurt and he knew it was him who caused it. He wanted to walk inside and apologize for it, but he still talking to someone over his phone.

"If only our parents didn't left us then I wouldn't have to be stuck in this House and take full responsibility of him." Seokjin said through his sobs with Jimin hearing it all clearly. "I love him," Seokjin says crying, almost unable to talk straight as his sobs left out his mouth, "A-and I can't beleive I am saying this but I'm so tired of him." Jimin felt a lump forming in his throat as he listens to his older brother.

"I am tired of standing as his parent. I don't think I can go on, this is not the life I wanted." Seokjin pressed his eyes shut, "I have a life too and I want freedom, I want to live where I wouldn't even have to think of him, accompany him in every steps, decision he makes, to care for him, I don't like how he still depends on me and stick to me."  Seokjin took a deep sigh, trying to calm himself down. Just, every time he thinks about his sacrifices for Jimin his chest tightens.

Ever since their parents left them, he's the one who stand as Jimin's both mom and dad. Jimin depended on him while he has no one to depend to. He works two jobs despite being a student cause they left them with nothing, he supports his own studies and Jimin's. He was working so hard for the both of them while his younger brother busies himself ignoring him, shutting him out of his life. Even with just simply greeting or ask his older brother how he was doing but none of that happened.

They were living in the same roof yet Seokjin felt completely alone. Still, Seokjin chose to understand him, everyday. Until the day, he finally talked to him after neglecting him for years and Seokjin was beyond happy when that happened it felt surreal.

"He wouldn't want to let go of me, either. Oh god, he's so selfish for asking me to stay. How long should I be locked in this prison?" Jimin covers his mouth his expression was all hurt. It wounds him deeply how Seokjin called their House a prison where for Jimin, it was his safe place.

"I don't like the idea of staying here for the rest of my life because it's empty! The day they left us, for me, this is not a home anymore, this is just an abandoned place."

"I want to move to another place, hell I want to move in with you and do whatever I like without thinking of him, without any guilt inside me!"

"I want that, god damnit."

"But I can't because I'm the only one he has. I want him to forgive our parents, I even asked the triples to make friends with him just so he could let go of me but no he's doing the exact opposite, he's still holding on to me, god such a pain the ass."

"Just... How about me?"

"No, no, You don't have to come over, thank you for always being there for me. I'm just so thankful, you're always there for me."

Jimin held his travel bag tightly and walked off.

"Wasn't it Jimin?" Jin-young said as they find him walking alone and they exchanged look at each other, Jaebum then walked after him. The other two were about to stop him but it's too late and ended up walking towards Jimin as well.

They followed him and as Jaebum catches up he grabbed Jimin by the arm and forced him to face them, he was surprise when he saw his wet cheeks.

"Jimin-ah," Jaebum calls his name, Jimin glared at him.

"Let go!" Jimin harshly shouted, "Jimin-ah, what happened to you?" He asked but Jimin pushed him instead, it catches the other two off guard.

"Jimin, easy." Jackson blurted, disliking how he mistreats his brother, the younger shifted his gaze to Jackson.

"Shut up! We're not even blood related so stop this shit! Get lost!" It came really off and Jackson steps forward planning to attack the younger, Jin-young came forward instead and push Jackson behind him.

"Jimin, we're just concern and right now I don't think we should let you go all alone." He explains and Jimin shook his head.

"So you're suggesting that I should be with you? You thought I didn't know? It was your mother who ruined my family and why the fuck you think I would want to stick with you?" Jimin mocked.

"Let's just go. Leave him. I can't put up with him anymore. He's right, we're not blood related so why care?" Jackson says staring at younger with despise, "You're lucky, your dad and brother were nice and was a complete opposite of you, just imagine if they were like you, do you think we would put such effort just to befriend and be nice to you? I don't think so." Jackson spat to him, quickly Jaebum faces his brother.

"Yah, why the fuck you said that?"

"No, we needed to tell him that because he's too much." Jin-young shushes, Jackson. "No, I don't want to keep my mouth shut anymore." Jackson looked at Jimin with a smirk on his lips.

"Seokjin-hyung spent his whole night at our House. Even your brother had given up on you because of your attitude! No one would want to be with someone like you! You are meant to be alone because you're selfish!" Jackson shouts at him and Jimin's expression bore pain.

Jaebum puched Jackson square on the face, "Son of a bitch, I told you to shut your mouth!" Jaebum growled, Jin-young hurriedly went in the middle stopping them from hurting each other.

Jaebum turned to look at the smaller and saw him walking away, Jin-young held him back as he tries to follow him. Frustrated, Jaebum looked at his brother, Jin-young only shook his head. Jaebum shifted his gaze to Jackson and the latter only look away.

Jimin grabbed a taxi and asked the driver to bring him to a peaceful place. The driver did not get what he meant and asked him for a specific place, Jimin heard it but obviously he ignored him on purpose. Somehow, the driver brought him to Seoul Forest.

Arriving at the said place, Jimin took a few minutes walk and stopped by a bench. He sat there and he was out of it, dried tears on his cheeks and face unreadable.

It wasn't because he has unconditional love for Jimin. He is just obligated from doing it. Jimin was once again, proven wrong. The pain that his brother had caused him is much worst than what he felt with his parents, what he learnt and heard fills his heart with so much pain. Jimin never thinks badly of his Hyung, he admires him and the only flaw he sees in him? Falling in love with someone who Jimin sees a bad person. The smaller never felt, Seokjin despises living with him because his older brother always treat him good. Hence, Jimin thought, Seokjin is contented on living with him. Hearing Seokjin blurting everything to Taehyung, broke Jimin's heart into pieces and until now he kept hearing those inside his head.

Jimin had prepared himself, he made sure of it, thus, as the time comes his older brother leaves him just like what their parents did, it doesn't hurt that much but then Seokjin assured him he'll stay, he promised Jimin and the younger believes it. Thinking about it, Jimin would still understand if he can't fulfill his promise even Seokjin said it himself because his love for his older brother is greater than the betrayal he might feel but with the things he heard from him, the pain and betrayal had overshadow his love for the older.

Looking at it, you could say Jungkook still lucky. He had a family that really loves and care for him and Jimin? He has none. No one.

Shortly, Jimin closes his eyes as darkness took over him.

__*__

Jimin opened his eyes and the first thing he noticed was the unbearable headache. He shifted his attention to the room he was in and tried to sit but fails miserably.

"Please, don't move too much." Jimin's expression changes into confusion. Jimin rapidly looked over his side, a young man smiled at him.

"Oh." Said by the other male, voice coming off the door. Jimin turned to look at him and he's shaken a bit, when he recognizes him.

It's Kibum. The person who they had saved and the one he met at the Hospital that found him crying.

"You are awake." Kibum says relief, "We saw you lying unconscious earlier and brought you here in the Hospital." He explains and Jimin put the pieces together.

"So you're taking the full credits now? Excuse me, I saw him first and told you." Argues the young male beside him, Jimin looked at him again. The young man rolled his eyes and stared at Jimin, smiling.

"I'm Sunoo! He is my older brother and he's stupid." He said, Jimin nods his head. "Wah, you didn't even laugh or smile at what I said?" Sunoo complained.

"Yah, Sunoo, stop." Sunoo only stick his tongue out, Kibum only chuckles.

Kibum moved closer and hand Jimin his phone, the smaller stare at it for awhile and grabs it. Jimin with his eyes wide stare at Kibum worriedly, as if he just saw a ghost.

"Did you call anyone and told them I'm here?" Jimin questioned which Kibum immediately dismisses and denied.

The smaller nods in relief and pushed himself to sit, struggling to do it, Sunoo volunteer himself to give a hand. Sunoo helped Jimin despite in reality he wasn't even exerting force to pull Jimin and surprisingly the smaller did not complain.

"Are you confident you are now okay?" Kibum asked him full of concern, "Let me drive you home." Jimin quickly looked up, rejecting the offer.

"No! I don't wanna go home!" Jimin firmly said.

"Where are you going then, Hyung?" Sunoo asked now holding Jimin's arm. Jimin didn't answer and proceed to walk up, Sunoo follows him still holding on to him. For some reason, Jimin find it hard to just yank his arm away from the younger because he had this angelic face.

"You can stay at my condo." Jimin shook his head at the offer and starts walking up but Sunoo held his arm back, Jimin glared at the younger but his facial expression fell down as soon as the younger made a pleading face.

"The person you're trying to call is unavailable, please try again later."

Seokjin is baffled. He was contacting his younger brother countless times already yet he did not answer any of those.

"It's getting late and Namjoon told me he drove him home." Seokjin stresses out, face contorted with concern and Taehyung smiled softly, stroking the older back.

"Relax babe, he must be somewhere and having his time, he always does that." Taehyung tells him softly making an effort to calm his boyfriend.

"He didn't tell me or text me, informing where he is." Seokjin says stress out, rubbing his face frustrated.

"You're in bad terms how is that possible, Babe just drop it, the way I see it, he just want to be alone. Let him be, he's not a little kid anymore."

"Do you think so?" Seokjin asked like a little kid who's believing everything he's been told, Taehyung smirked at him.

"Yes." He answers.

The doorbell rang across the room and Seokjin's eyes widened. The older made his way to the main door thinking it was his younger brother who had knock on the door. Taehyung's expression immediately changes and leaned his back on the couch.

"He should've get lost for good, Ugh, this is really annoying." He mutter under his breath.

Seokjin's expression fell as his eyes landed on them. It was Jungkook and the rest of his friends, Seokjin had ask them about his younger brother and explained the situation, maybe they were worried as well hence they decided to meet him in person instead.

They all went inside and sat down, Taehyung smiled at Jungkook as their eyes meet but the younger avoid his stare and didn't return the smile. Taehyung rolled his eyes and chuckles as he turn his gaze away. After the confrontation, they never talk again. It appears Jungkook had take it to the heart, maybe because he felt guilty knowing he's the one who sell out Jimin to him nonetheless it still surprises Taehyung.

"Hyung, do you now have any idea where our Jimin is?" Hoseok asked, Jimin shakes his head.

Most of them were worried expect for one and Jungkook didn't miss that. He has the urge to punch the latter, he hated how he plays he was worried in front Seokjin but then can't also keep how happy he was.

"Hyung, don't take this personally, but have you been in a fight with Jimin?"

"Yes," Seokjin answered honestly, "The night before he went to Ilsan we got into a fight." He tells them.

Now it made sense why no one's at home when Jungkook came that night. It was so wrong of him that he didn't answer Jimin's call. Things wouldn't have come this far if he was in Jimin's side the night it happened. He is the first person that comes into Jimin's mind if he needs anyone, Jimin said it himself and with the mistake he made, Jimin would never call him again.

"Despite of the fight, Namjoon said he drove him home but I was here all day he never shows up." Seokjin explained, Yoongi nods his head.

"Jimin had a wound on his hand, was it because of the fight?" Jungkook curiously asked him, by the stare he was giving the older it made Seokjin shrunk in guilt. Seokjin looked away ashamed of himself for leaving Jimin even though he was completely aware he had hurt himself.

"Seokjin-Hyung didn't hurt him if that's what you're implying, he got hurt after throwing tantrums inside his room." Taehyung answered on Seokjin's behalf. Jungkook's expression darkened and threw Taehyung a look.

Taehyung smiled sheepishly, "Oh no, Did I say tantrums? Sorry, I don't know any other term to describe it." Taehyung says chuckling, Jungkook clenches his fist.

"You fool, don't make a joke in times like this. This is a serious matter if you forgot." Yoongi said giving him a lecture.

"Sorry, Hyung. I am just trying to lighten up the mood a little," Taehyung lied, throwing them a silly look, Jungkook glanced away irritated.

"Should we report this to the police, Hyung?" Hoseok intercepts.

"Guys, don't go overboard. He is an adult, he left without a trace because they had an argument and it's obvious he did that because he wanted his time alone." Yoongi pointed out convincing Seokjin even more.

"What if you're wrong?" Jungkook asked and he sound so concern that it catches Taehyung's attention, he made an "oh" expression and smiled cheekily.

After their conversation they decided to leave Seokjin, they decided to not report it and just wait until tomorrow. Jungkook steps inside the car but Taehyung held him back, Jungkook faces him expression cold that Taehyung had to remove his hand off of him as if he got himself burnt.

"Shit, Jungkook-ah. Don't stare at me like that, I'm not your enemy but a friend." He says laughing at Jungkook.

"I thought you don't care?" Taehyung asked mocking him, "I don't think this is what a person would do if they do not care." Jungkook only scoff being teased by his friend, he turned away and grab the car door handle.

"You like Jimin, don't you?" Taehyung asked, Jungkook stopped for a moment. A smirk playing on Taehyung's lips, Jungkook's reaction only proves his point.

"Oh, you can't because have a girlfriend." Jungkook faces him and hit him on the face, catching Hoseok and Yoongi off guard who were inside the car.

"I feel so sorry for your girlfriend, I mean it." Taehyung says laughing.

The other two hurriedly stepped outside and pulled them away from each other.

"You disappoint me, Jungkook-ah."

It made the other two confuse, staring at them clueless. Taehyung harshly pulled himself away from Yoongi's grip, "It's all okay, now." He said to Yoongi, raising up both of his hands.

"I'm going, you guys should go too." Taehyung says dismissing it.

Yoongi looked at Hoseok dumbfounded, Hoseok only shrugged at him. They both looked at Jungkook who was now fuming in anger, they were just too afraid of him thus they chose to keep their mouth shut.

Jungkook is seated in the passenger seat and Hoseok was looking at him at the rear view mirror, Hoseok fake cough and spoke.

"Jungkook-ah," He called his name, Jungkook lifted his head and stare back at him.

"Why don't you try calling Jimin back, let's try looking for him before we call it a night." He suggested.

"Jimin had turned off his phone for a reason. Let it go, let Jimin be, he would show up if he wants to."  Yoongi tells him annoyed, opposing his suggestion. Hoseok waited for the younger to speak but he never did.

"Don't you have anything to say, Jungkook-ah?"

He didn't answer, Hoseok refrained himself from pushing it and drives home. Jungkook left first and head inside the House, he then locked himself in the room and sat down on the bed.

"I feel so sorry for your girlfriend."

Jungkook felt guilty towards his girlfriend. He was neglecting her for a week and only called her when he needed a reason to avoid Jimin, it was the same night he had thought of focusing his attention to his girlfriend and forget the fact he actually like someone else beside her. With that in mind and her being on the other line, Jungkook couldn't talk to her, he just can't do it even with his girlfriend cursing him he kept his mouth shut, he was spacing, he could only think of Jimin.

What was Namjoon doing there? What are they talking about? Have Jimin finally said yes? Does it mean they agreed on dating each other already? Those thoughts inside his head were playing and he regrets not answering Jimin's phone call.

Jungkook did not even notice his girlfriend drop the call.

Jungkook attempted to just ignore his worries but every time he closes his eyes, he could only see Jimin, no matter how he tries, Jimin keeps on coming back to his mind and that pushed him to go back to Jimin's place.

It's always Jimin, he never leaves Jungkook's mind. Jungkook is full of guilt, he strive so hard to set it aside but he can't escape it, he did her wrong.

Jungkook clearly knew it was wrong to continue their relationship when he's falling deeper to someone day by day but he can't still figure what to do, he doesn't have an answer for that, he still value the times they had been together.

Jungkook's phone rang...

Jungkook quickly checks, in hope it was Jimin. His face fell down, turning into disappointment when he saw his Mom's caller ID. He knew the reason why she called, she wanted him to go back, Jungkook ignores that and drop his phone.

He covered his face with hands, head hanging low.

"Jimin-hyung, just... where the hell are you?"
