The Interview

A woman walked down a long hallway, metal doors at her side. Each one was locked with state of the art magnetic locks and 3-inch bolts, in case the locks failed. Looking down at her clipboard, she walked by a door and heard a girl say: "So what? Killed the bastards. And I'd do it again too! Hahaha!". The woman peeked inside through a small slit in the door to see a man with a recording device interviewing a young woman with long brown hair in a pony-tail, wearing an old bloody '#1' t-shirt. She looked decayed, almost like a walking corpse. But her eyes, the girl's eyes were beyond anything she'd seen. They burned with a rage that she couldn't understand. But before the woman could continue further, the girl's eyes looked straight at her and she smiled. The woman jumped back, continuing to walk down the hallway until she reached the end. A door, made from titanium was in front of her. A man stood next to the door with a gun in his hand and full body armor, "Clearance card?" the man asked

"Here," the woman replied, pulling out a blue card. The man took the card and looked at it. giving it back, the man said: "I would advise you sit a few feet away from the table. The last person who did this ended up with the table in their head," as he turned around and opened the door, "also, have you filled out your death papers?"

"What?"

"Do you want to be cremated or buried?"

"I-I don't know," the woman replied, making the man sigh

"*sigh* Of course, just make sure your gun is loaded," the man said, closing the door behind her and locking it. The woman looked in her coat to make sure her hand-gun was there. Looking up, there was a table with a single light above it and a chair a few feet away. The woman walked to the chair and sat down, looking at a pair of hands on the table. One was made of metal and the other seemed to be skeletal. Both hands had chains attached to their wrists as the woman looked up, "About time you came. What took you so long? Traffic?" a voice asked as the woman gulped

"I-It took a while t-to get through security," the woman replied

"Bah, the security here is nothing comparing to what I'm used too,"

"Really, Ms. Loud?"

"Please, call me Luna," Luna said, leaning toward her. The light from the ceiling revealing her face. A streak of purple rand down the middle of her hair as a large grin was on her face. Sharp teeth lined her lips as one of her eyes was missing, instead replaced by a back orb with a red dot. The woman nodded as she looked down at her clipboard, "A-Alright... w-well, my name is Ava and I'll be interviewing you today," Ava said

"Ava... what a lovely name. But could you please come closer? The lighting in here is horrible and by the sound of your voice, I'd say you'd be quite beautiful," Luna said, making Ava blush

"I-I don't know,"

"Oh, come on. I'm not gonna bite... at least not very hard," Luna replied

"C-Can we just get on with the interview?!" Ava shouted, still blushing.

Later:

"So you want to know how I got like this?" Luna asked

"Y-Yes," Ava said

"How I became this... thing? How my heart stopped beating and yet I'm still alive? How I looked like a robotic corpse you find at a haunted house?" Luna questioned. Ava nodded as Luna leaned back in her chair, "Truth be told, I've got a lot of questions as well. How I'm still alive? How I got in here? These are the questions I've got. So how about this? I'll answer you questions and you answer mine, deal?"

"Deal," Ava replied

"Alright... I don't know,"

"What?"

"I don't know," Luna said, "simple as that. I died and then I woke up in a lab filled with my sisters' things,"

"Which sister?"

"Lisa, that damned little maniac," Luna said, leaning forward, "did you know she put tracking chips in our skulls? Like some sorta animals. Even my brother... my... brother... what was his name again?"

"Excuse me?" Ava questioned, writing everything down

"Sorry. It's just been so long, that and I'm missing a part of my brain. What was his name? Lenen? Loln? Line?"

"Lincoln. His name was Lincoln," Ava answered for her. Luna smiled as she looked straight into Ava's eyes, "Ah, yes. Lincoln. He was my favorite sibling. *Sigh* I remember when Mom and Dad brought him home. I also remember singing to him when he'd cry at night and nobody else could get him to fall asleep,"

"You two sound like you had a bond,"

"One you couldn't understand," Luna replied

"I bet," Ava said, still writing everything down. Luna then shifted in her chair and tilted her head, "Well, I think it's time for me to ask questions,"

"Alright, go ahead," Ava said

"Do you have a family?"

"Well, no. I'm single, still waiting for that special someone," Ava answered

"Really? Still, waiting? How old are you?"

"27,"

"Wow, you're getting up there. Might wanna find someone quick before... you know, you soon realize there isn't time," Luna said, looking at her skeletal hand. Ava looked away, blushing a bit as Luna smiled, "Well, do you have any more questions?" Luna asked

"Yes, it's about... your parents. Rita and Lynn Sr.," Ava said, pulling out a file from her clipboard and placing it on the table. Ava opened the file to reveal pictures of their dead bodies, "They'd both been strangled and stabbed several times... you wouldn't happen to know anything about this, would you?". Luna moved in her chair as she picked up the picture of her mother, seeing a look of fear in Rita's eyes, "Hehehehe... oh man, that was a fun night," Luna said, throwing the picture to the floor

"So you do know?" Ava asked, seeing Luna smile

"Know? I was there. In fact, I was the one sho strangled her," Luna said, making Ava gasp

"How could you do that?"

"Simple. I took her hairdryer, wrapped the cord around her neck, and I didn't stop... of course, Leni did help a bit, cutting her tendons to make sure her struggling wasn't as hard, but that's what family is for,"

"Killing each other?" Ava asked. Luna's smile then disappeared, leaning and making the chains on her hands crack, "Rita and Lynn Sr. Loud were not my family. They said they were, but they weren't. I know what family is and they weren't it. My sisters and my brother are my only family,"

"Speaking of... what can you tell me about your brother, Lincoln?" Ava questioned

"Not much... last I saw him was the day before I was killed. Other than that, not much else. Nothing recent anyways,"

"Then would be a surprise to know that he's missing?" Ava asked, pulling out a missing-poster of Lincoln. Luna's eyes widened as she grabbed the poster and inspected it, "Who put up this poster?" Luna asked

"A woman by the name of Ronnie Ann Santiago. From what the file says, she's in her early 20's, single, a college student, lives with her parents, and had a relationship with your brother," Ava explained

"'Had' being the keyword there... she's his ex from what I can remember," Luna stated. But before they could continue further, there was a banging on the door, "ALRIGHT! TIME'S UP!"

"Looks like I gotta go," Ava said as she stood up

"Ohh boo hoo, and I'd thought I'd get to know you better," Luna said, smiling as she leaned back in her chair

"Y-Yes, well rules are rules and I've gotta- huh?" Ava said as she tried opening the door, "Excuse me? It's time for me to leave! You said so!"

"hmm... seems like it's starting," Luna said as the sound's of banging could be heard from the vents. Ava pressed her ear against the door to hear gunfire. Taking a few steps back, Ava felt herself bump into something and turned around to see that she bumped into a now chainless Luna. She was a good few inches taller than her as Luna grabbed Ava by the throat and lifted her into the air, "Tell me, Ava... have you ever had any experiences with a woman?" Luna questioned. But before Ava could respond, Luna kissed her, "Sorry if I get a bit rough, being dead for 5 years and killing people for 4 can make anyone... stressed," Luna whispered into Ava's ear as Ava tried to scream. But she couldn't be heard as the sounds of gunfire canceled out her desperate screams.
